Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for forming a flow path of a cooling plate and a method for forming a flow path of a cooling plate, and more specifically, to a device for forming a flow path of a cooling plate and a method for forming a flow path of a cooling plate for stably maintaining the flatness of the other side of a bonding panel by pressing the other side of the bonding panel with the elastic force of an elastic spring when a cooling flow path is protruded from one side of a bonding panel. Background Technology

[0002] Generally, in vehicles powered by batteries, such as electric vehicles or plug-in hybrids, temperature management is necessary to maintain battery performance or prevent premature lifespan reduction. In particular, if the battery temperature rises and overheats, it not only reduces battery lifespan but also causes fires.

[0003] Conventionally, when using a cooling sheet for a battery cell that forms a battery, a structure is used in which the thermal energy of the battery is transferred and cooled by a brazing method between a cooling plate through which a cooling fluid circulates, a lower plate forming a flow path on the cooling plate, and a flat upper plate on which the battery is placed. This is mainly used in cooling methods for battery modules or battery packs.

[0004] In the case of the cooling fins forming the cooling module on a unit module including a battery cell, the same concept applies to cooling by bringing the battery and the cooling fins into contact on a cell-by-cell basis. Meanwhile, there may be differences in the shape, form, or arrangement of the cooling fins forming the unit module.

[0005] Meanwhile, in order to cool the heat generated in the battery cell, there may be a method of discharging the battery cell with cooling plates bonded to the upper, lower, and side surfaces using silicone cap fillers.

[0006] Looking at a conventional battery cooling panel, a cooling channel is formed on the cooling panel by combining the upper panel and the lower panel through a process of injecting an injection material, such as plastic resin, into an injection channel formed in the upper panel and the lower panel, which are inserted and placed on an insert mold.

[0007] At this time, an insulation pad is attached to the lower portion of the lower plate to prevent degradation of cooling performance and shock in the cooling channel formed in the lower plate forming the cooling panel. The attachment method involves bonding the lower plate and the insulation pad using double-sided tape. Meanwhile, since the cooling channel requires good cooling performance of the lower plate, there was a technical need to minimize cooling loss to the lower portion of the cooling sheet.

[0008] Conventionally, an air cooling method was used to minimize cooling loss by creating a gap between batteries to form an air passage that allows contact with air. However, the air cooling method had the problem of reduced cooling efficiency due to the narrow air passage, and it was difficult to effectively cool and dissipate heat, resulting in reduced operational performance or significantly lower reliability of the device. Specific details for implementing the invention

[0019] The following objects, other objects, features, and advantages of the present invention will be easily understood through the following preferred embodiments associated with the accompanying drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described herein and may be embodied in other forms.

[0020] Rather, the embodiments introduced herein are provided to ensure that the disclosed content is thorough and complete, and to ensure that the spirit of the invention is sufficiently conveyed to those skilled in the art. The embodiments described and illustrated herein also include complementary embodiments.

[0021] In this specification, the singular form includes the plural form unless specifically stated otherwise in the text. Components referred to as 'comprise' and / or 'comprising' as used in this specification do not exclude the presence or addition of one or more other components.

[0022] Now, a cooling plate manufactured according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 1. FIG. 1 is a schematic drawing illustrating a cooling plate according to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein (a) is a front perspective view and (b) is a cross-sectional perspective view.

[0023] As illustrated in FIG. 1, a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a bonding panel (BP) in which a flat upper plate (UP) and a lower plate (DP) are integrally laminated and combined, and a cooling channel (CP) protruding from either the upper plate (UP) or the lower plate (DP) of the bonding panel (BP). The bonding panel (BP) is formed by integrally laminating and combining the upper plate (UP) and the lower plate (DP) using a roll bonding method. The cooling channel (CP) is formed through pneumatic cross-sectional expansion molding. An inlet (ET) communicating with the cooling channel (CP) is formed through either the upper plate (UP) or the lower plate (DP). At this time, the channel height (h) can be determined according to the thickness of the upper plate (UP) and the pressure of the supplied pneumatic fluid.

[0024] In a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention, a cooling channel (CP) is formed protrudingly on the upper plate (UP) while an inlet (ET) is formed through it, and the lower plate (DP) maintains flatness in a flat state, so the cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention forms a one-sided flat cooling plate. The cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention can be used for cooling a battery for an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle.

[0025] Now, specific embodiments according to the flow path forming device of a cooling plate of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and FIGS. 2 to 9. FIG. 2 is a front perspective view schematically illustrating a flow path forming device of a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view schematically illustrating a flow path forming device of a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0026] As illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, a cooling plate flow path forming device according to one embodiment of the present invention is a cooling plate flow path forming device that forms a cooling path (CP) on the upper plate (UP) of a flat bonding panel (BP), and is a cooling plate flow path forming device for one-sided flat cooling plates for maintaining a flat state of the lower plate (DP) and forming a cooling path (CP) on the upper plate (UP). A cooling plate flow path forming device according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a lifting jig (10) and an elastic jig (30), and may further include at least one of a guide panel (PG), a spacing jig (20), a reinforcing jig (40), and a jig replacement unit (50).

[0027] The lifting jig (10) pressurizes the bonding panel (BP) while pneumatic fluid is supplied to the bonding panel (BP).

[0028] The elastic jig (30) is provided on the lower side of the lifting jig (10), and the bonding panel (BP) is elastically supported.

[0029] The guide panel (PG) has a channel space (PH) formed by being recessed or penetrating the cooling channel (CP).

[0030] The spacing jig (20) is rotatably coupled to the lifting jig (10) in correspondence with the flow height (h) of the cooling channel (CP).

[0031] The reinforcing jig (40) uses pneumatic pressure to adjust the gap with the base panel (33) included in the elastic jig (30).

[0032] The jig replacement unit (50) positions the elastic jig (30) on the lower side of the lifting jig (10) in correspondence with the spring constant of the elastic spring (35).

[0033] FIG. 4 is a front view schematically illustrating a lifting jig (10) and a spacing jig (20) included in a flow path forming device of a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0034] As illustrated in FIG. 4, the lifting jig (10) may include a lifting panel (11) that can be stacked on a bonding panel (BP) according to lifting movement, a lifting rod (13) formed protruding from the lifting panel (11) for lifting movement of the lifting panel (11), and a pneumatic channel (AP) that passes through the lifting panel (11) to deliver pneumatic fluid to the bonding panel (BP). Since the pneumatic channel (AP) is in close contact with an inlet (ET) provided in the bonding panel (BP) as the lifting panel (11) pressurizes the bonding panel (BP), leakage of pneumatic fluid between the pneumatic channel (AP) and the inlet (ET) can be prevented. It is preferable that the pneumatic channel (AP) be connected to a pneumatic supply unit (AS) that supplies pneumatic fluid. Although not shown, a channel space (PH) may be formed by being recessed in either the lifting panel (11) or the support panel (31) described later, corresponding to the cooling channel (CP). In one embodiment of the present invention, the upper surface of the bonding panel (BP) where the cooling channel (CP) is formed faces the lifting panel (11), so the channel space (PH) may be formed in the lifting panel (11).

[0035] Then, according to the detailed coupling relationship of the lifting jig (10), the lifting panel (11) can be moved smoothly, and pneumatic fluid can be stably supplied to the inlet (ET) provided in the bonding panel (BP). In addition, since the lifting panel (11) adjusts the amount of pressure applied by the elastic jig (30) according to the pressure of the pneumatic fluid, the lower plate (DP) included in the bonding panel (BP) can be stably elastically supported by the elastic force generated by the elastic jig (30), and the lower plate (DP) can be prevented from being deformed.

[0036] As illustrated in FIG. 4, the spacing jig (20) may include a jig angle (21) pivotally provided at the edge of a lifting panel (11) included in a lifting jig (10), a pivot shaft portion (23) forming the rotation center of the jig angle (21), and a pivot driving portion (25) that pivotally rotates the jig angle (21) around the pivot shaft portion (23). Here, the jig angle (21) may include a rotating member coupled to the pivot shaft portion (23) and a spacing member coupled to the end of the rotating member. The thickness of the spacing member may vary depending on the flow height (h) of the cooling channel (CP). At this time, the spacing member may have a structure in which one or more unit members are stacked and coupled to the rotating member.

[0037] Then, depending on the detailed connection relationship of the spacing jig (20), a sufficient space can be formed for a cooling channel (CP) to be formed between the bonding panel (BP) and the lifting panel (11). In addition, depending on the detailed connection relationship of the spacing jig (20), the guide panel (PG), which will be described later, can be fixed in the correct position.

[0038] If a flow path space (PH) is formed in the lifting jig (10), the spacing jig (20) may be omitted.

[0039] FIG. 5 is a partially exploded perspective view schematically illustrating an elastic jig (30) included in a flow path forming device of a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0040] As illustrated in FIG. 5, the elastic jig (30) may include a support panel (31) on which a bonding panel (BP) is stacked and supported, a base panel (33) provided on the lower side of the support panel (31), and an elastic spring (35) that elastically presses the support panel (31) based on the base panel (33). An elastic support portion (32) on which the elastic spring (35) is seated in a fixed position may be formed in a recessed or protruding manner on at least one of the lower surface of the support panel (31) and the upper surface of the base panel (33). It is preferable that a plurality of elastic springs (35) be arranged vertically and horizontally between the support panel (31) and the base panel (33). The spring constant of the elastic spring (35) can be determined according to the pressure of the pneumatic fluid supplied to the inlet (ET) of the bonding panel (BP) to form a cooling channel (CP), and the elastic spring (35) can be replaced.

[0041] Then, depending on the detailed coupling relationship of the elastic jig (30), the lower surface of the bonding panel (BP) can be stably elastically supported by the elastic force of the elastic spring (35), and the lower surface of the bonding panel (BP) can be prevented from being deformed by the pressure of the pneumatic fluid.

[0042] FIG. 6 is a schematic plan view illustrating a reinforcing jig (40) included in a flow path forming device of a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 7 is a drawing for explaining the operating state of a reinforcing jig (40) included in a flow path forming device of a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention, wherein (a) shows a state in which air is injected into an air pocket (43), and (b) shows a state in which air is discharged from an air pocket (43).

[0043] As illustrated in FIGS. 6 and 7, the reinforcing jig (40) may include a reinforcing base (41) provided on the lower side of a base panel (33) included in the elastic jig (30), and a reinforcing module provided between the base panel (33) included in the elastic jig (30) and the reinforcing base (41) to adjust the gap between the base panel (33) included in the elastic jig (30) and the reinforcing base (41). Since a guide (42) is provided on the edge of the reinforcing base (41), the up-and-down movement of the base panel (33) included in the elastic jig (30) can be facilitated. It is preferable that multiple reinforcing modules be arranged in a longitudinal and transverse manner. The reinforcement module may further include an air pocket (43) capable of being filled with pneumatic fluid, one or more pocket guides (45) surrounding the air pocket (43), and a guide cap (47) that covers the pocket guides (45) while supporting the base panel (33), and may further include a pneumatic supply unit (AS) that supplies pneumatic fluid to the air pocket (43). Since wrinkles are formed in the air pocket (43), when pneumatic fluid is supplied to the air pocket (43), the wrinkles unfold and rise along the height direction, causing the air pocket (43) to expand, and it is desirable to ensure that expansion toward the side is minimal or non-existent. When there are two or more pocket guides (45), the first guide surrounding the air pocket (43) is fixed to the reinforcing base (41), the second guide surrounding the first guide is coupled to the first guide so as to be vertically movable while surrounding the first guide, and the guide cap (47) is coupled to the second guide so as to be vertically movable while surrounding the second guide. The pneumatic supply unit (AS) can supply pneumatic fluid substantially uniformly to multiple air pockets (43) via the pocket channel (PP). The pneumatic supply unit (AS) can also supply pneumatic fluid to the pneumatic channel (AP).As pneumatic fluid is supplied to multiple air pockets (43), the multiple air pockets (43) expand. Consequently, the second guide and the guide cap (47) rise in response to the expansion of the air pockets (43), and the guide cap (47) raises the base panel (33), thereby allowing the gap between the base panel (33) and the reinforcing base (41) included in the elastic jig (30) to be adjusted by the reinforcing module.

[0044] Then, the elastic force of the elastic spring (35) can be adjusted in conjunction with the lowering amount of the lifting panel (11) according to the detailed coupling relationship of the reinforcing jig (40). In particular, the elastic force of the elastic spring (35) can be increased above the pressure of the pneumatic fluid supplied to the bonding panel (BP) in response to the preset lowering amount of the lifting panel (11), and deformation of the lower plate (DP) of the bonding panel (BP) can be prevented.

[0045] FIG. 8 is a front exploded view schematically illustrating a convex portion (CV), a concave portion (CC), and a guide panel (PG) added to a flow path forming device of a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0046] As illustrated in FIG. 8, a convex portion (CV) having a preset curvature may be formed protrudingly on the lower surface of the lifting panel (11) facing the upper plate (UP) where the cooling channel (CP) is formed in the bonding panel (BP), and a concave portion (CC) having a preset curvature may be formed indentedly on the upper surface of the support panel (31) facing the lower plate (DP). At this time, it is preferable that the convex portion (CV) and the concave portion (CC) have the same curvature. In one embodiment of the present invention, the convex portion (CV) is formed on the lower surface of the lifting panel (11) and the concave portion (CC) is formed on the upper surface of the support panel (31), but this is not limited thereto. When the upper surface of the bonding panel (BP) where the cooling channel (CP) is formed faces the support panel (31), the convex portion (CV) may be formed on the upper surface of the support panel (31) and the concave portion (CC) may be formed on the lower surface of the lifting panel (11).

[0047] Then, when a cooling channel (CP) is formed on the upper plate (UP) of the bonding panel (BP), the lower plate (DP) of the bonding panel (BP) may bend in response to the expansion of the cooling channel (CP). Depending on the combined relationship between the convex portion (CV) and the concave portion (CC), the lower plate (DP) of the bonding panel (BP), which has become convex in response to the expansion of the cooling channel (CP), can be restored to a flat state, and the flatness of the lower plate (DP) of the bonding panel (BP) can be stably maintained.

[0048] As illustrated in FIG. 8, it is preferable that a flow path space (PH) corresponding to a cooling path (CP) be formed in the guide panel (PG). Accordingly, the flow path space (PH) is omitted in the lifting panel (11). At this time, since the spacing jig (20) can grip the guide panel (PG), a gripping wing (W) may be provided on the edge of the guide panel.

[0049] Then, since the guide panel (PG) is replaced according to the shape of the cooling channel (CP), the cost of manufacturing the jig can be saved.

[0050] FIG. 9 is a schematic plan view illustrating a jig replacement unit (50) included in a flow path forming device of a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0051] As illustrated in FIG. 9, the jig replacement unit (50) may include a replacement base (51) on which an elastic jig (30) or a reinforcing jig (40) is supported, and a replacement roller (53) rotatably coupled to the replacement base (51). The jig replacement unit (50) may further include at least one of a roller drive unit (55) and a positioning module. The roller drive unit (55) rotates the replacement roller (53) to move the elastic jig (30) or the reinforcing jig (40). The positioning module prevents the movement of the elastic jig (30) or the reinforcing jig (40) so that it is positioned below the lifting panel (11) included in the lifting jig (10). The positioning module may include a horizontal stopper (52) that prevents horizontal movement of the elastic jig (30) or reinforcing jig (40) relative to a plane, and a vertical stopper (56) that prevents vertical movement of the elastic jig (30) or reinforcing jig (40) relative to a plane. The positioning module may further include a horizontal driving unit (54) that adjusts the position of the horizontal stopper (52) relative to a plane, and a vertical driving unit (58) that adjusts the position of the vertical stopper (56) relative to a plane.

[0052] Then, depending on the detailed coupling relationship of the jig replacement unit (50), the elastic jig (30) or the reinforcing jig (40) can be moved horizontally and vertically on the replacement base (51) by the replacement roller (53), and since movement is prevented by the positioning module, the replacement and positioning of the elastic jig (30) can be easily done in correspondence with the spring constant of the elastic spring (35).

[0053] Now, specific embodiments according to the method for forming a flow path of a cooling plate of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 9 and FIG. 10. FIG. 10 is a flowchart schematically illustrating a method for forming a flow path of a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0054] As illustrated in FIG. 10, a method for forming a cooling channel of a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention is a method for forming a cooling channel (CP) in the upper plate (UP) of a flat bonding panel (BP), and it is preferable to use a cooling channel forming device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0055] A method for forming a flow path of a cooling plate according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a panel determination step (S1), a jig determination step (S2), a jig positioning step (S3), a panel positioning step (S4), a panel pressurization step (S5), a flow path formation step (S6), a pneumatic release step (S7), and a pressurization release step (S8).

[0056] The panel determination step (S1) determines the pressure of the pneumatic fluid supplied to the bonding panel (BP). The pressure of the pneumatic fluid supplied to the bonding panel (BP) can be determined according to the thickness of the top plate (UP) of the bonding panel (BP), the material, the height (h) of the cooling channel (CP), etc.

[0057] The jig determination step (S2) determines the spring constant of the elastic spring (35) included in the elastic jig (30) that elastically supports the bonding panel (BP) in response to the pressure of the pneumatic fluid determined through the panel determination step (S1). The jig determination step (S2) may further determine at least one of the compression amount of the elastic spring (35) and whether or not to use the reinforcing jig (40). The jig determination step (S2) may determine the lifting panel (11) included in the lifting jig (10) and the support panel (31) included in the elastic jig (30) in response to the bonding panel (BP).

[0058] The jig positioning step (S3) ensures that the lifting jig (10) and the elastic jig (30), which pressurize the bonding panel (BP) while pneumatic fluid is supplied to the bonding panel (BP), are positioned correctly. The jig positioning step (S3) can position the lifting jig (10) and the elastic jig (30), which are determined through the jig determination step (S2), correctly on the press equipment. At this time, the jig replacement unit (50) is operated to position the elastic jig (30) or the reinforcing jig (40).

[0059] The panel positioning step (S4) ensures that the bonding panel (BP) is positioned between the lifting jig (10) and the elastic jig (30). The panel positioning step (S4) ensures that the top plate (UP) of the bonding panel (BP) faces the lifting panel (11) or the support panel (31) to form a cooling channel (CP). As in one embodiment of the present invention, the bonding panel (BP) can be stacked and supported on the upper surface of the support panel (31) included in the elastic jig (30) so that the top plate (UP) of the bonding panel (BP) faces the lifting panel (11). Although not illustrated, the bonding panel (BP) can be coupled to the lower surface of the lifting panel (11) included in the lifting jig (10) via the spacing jig (20) so that the top plate (UP) of the bonding panel (BP) faces the support panel (31).

[0060] In the panel pressing step (S5), the lifting jig (10) presses the bonding panel (BP). In the panel pressing step (S5), the lifting panel (11) included in the lifting jig (10) presses the bonding panel (BP) as the lifting panel (11) descends toward the elastic jig (30) in response to the compression amount of the elastic spring (35) determined through the jig determination step (S2), and the elastic spring (35) is compressed by the compression amount.

[0061] In the flow path formation step (S6), pneumatic fluid is supplied to the bonding panel (BP) while maintaining the panel pressurization step (S5). In the flow path formation step (S6), as the pneumatic supply unit (AS) operates, pneumatic fluid is supplied to the bonding panel (BP), so a cooling flow path (CP) is formed on the upper plate (UP) of the bonding panel (BP).

[0062] The pneumatic release step (S7) causes the supply of pneumatic fluid to be cut off as a cooling channel (CP) is formed on the upper plate (UP) of the bonding panel (BP) through the channel formation step (S6). The pneumatic release step (S7) is performed as the operation of the pneumatic supply unit (AS) is stopped. As the pneumatic release step (S7) is performed, the supply of pneumatic fluid to the reinforcing jig (40) is also stopped, and the pneumatic fluid stored in the air pocket (43) is discharged. At this time, the close contact between the lifting panel (11), the bonding panel (BP), and the support panel (31) can be maintained by the elastic force of the elastic spring (35).

[0063] In the pressure release step (S8), after passing through the pneumatic release step (S7), the lifting jig (10) is separated from the bonding panel (BP) with the cooling channel (CP) formed therein for the withdrawal of the bonding panel (BP) with the cooling channel (CP) formed therein. In the pressure release step (S8), as the lifting jig (10) returns to its initial position, the gap between the lifting panel (11) and the support panel (31) widens, so the bonding panel (BP) with the cooling channel (CP) formed therein can be separated from the elastic jig (30).

[0064] According to the above-described cooling plate flow path forming device and cooling plate flow path forming method, when a cooling path (CP) is formed to protrude from one side of a bonding panel (BP), the other side of the bonding panel (BP) is pressed by the elastic force of an elastic spring (35), thereby maintaining the flatness of the other side of the bonding panel (BP) stably.

[0065] The technical problems to be solved by the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned technical problems can be implemented in various ways by those skilled in the art to which the present invention belongs, and technical modifications within such scope shall be considered to be within the scope of the present invention.
