Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a decorative boat for removing algae, wherein the buoyancy part and the submersible pump of the boat are not exposed to the outside of the boat, thereby creating the appearance of the decorative boat floating naturally on the water while performing the operation for algae removal, and enabling the immediate removal of algae over a wide area through an eco-friendly method of circulating water. Background Technology
[0003] Generally, algal blooms are a phenomenon in which the water in lakes or rivers turns green due to the explosive proliferation of cyanobacteria caused by an excessive abundance of nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus. Major causes include high water temperatures, strong sunlight, and stagnant water flow, and it can pose a threat to water quality stability due to ecosystem destruction and the secretion of toxic substances.
[0004] As algal blooms are intensifying alongside the climate crisis, fundamental reduction of pollution sources and improvement of water flow are crucial. Methods for removing and managing algal blooms can be broadly categorized into physical, chemical, and biological approaches, and it is advisable to select or combine the appropriate methods depending on the situation.
[0005] While the most immediate and eco-friendly methods for physical removal are directly removing algae or circulating water, they may require a large workforce. Recently, algae cleaning robots have been deployed to automatically suck up algae sludge in order to physically remove algae floating on the water surface using algae removal vessels or collection nets, but there are problems such as difficulties with repetitive work and potential damage to the aesthetics.
[0006] While there is a method of spraying red clay to allow the particles to adsorb the algae and sink to the bottom, this also presents difficulties with repetitive work. Additionally, chemical methods for removing algae, such as disinfectant treatment and the use of coagulants, can provide quick results but require caution as they can affect the aquatic ecosystem.
[0007] Since algal blooms proliferate explosively in stagnant water such as reservoirs, simply keeping the water flowing can significantly suppress their reproduction. Therefore, water circulation devices such as waterwheels can be installed throughout the reservoir, but there are problems such as difficulties in removing and suppressing algal blooms in the central part of the reservoir and the potential for damaging the aesthetics.
[0008] The main materials used to construct a ship's hull include wood, iron, and FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastics); however, FRP is primarily used for the hulls of small boats due to its light weight and resistance to external corrosion.
[0009] Hundreds of decorative boats equipped with lighting during various cultural festivals are made of wood, which causes them to be easily damaged when stored for a long time, resulting in high storage costs. Additionally, the installation of buoyancy devices on the lower exterior of the boats prevents the lower sections from being submerged, leaving the entire lower section and the buoyancy devices exposed above the water, which detracts from the aesthetics of the decorative boats.
[0010] Generally, waterproofing is required to prevent the interior of a ship from flooding; however, since disassembling and storing a ship for an extended period can damage the waterproofed parts, there is a difficulty in that the waterproofed areas must be inspected and re-waterproofed every time the ship is reassembled after long-term storage.
[0011] Registered Patent Publication No. 10-2538326 relates to a prefabricated decorative boat, comprising: a port section forming the left side of the hull; a starboard section forming the right side of the hull; a bow section connecting and fixing the front portions of the port section and the starboard section; a stern section connecting and fixing the rear portions of the port section and the starboard section; at least one keel section connecting and fixing the middle portions of the port section and the starboard section; and at least one buoyancy section disposed between the plurality of keels and fixed to the inner side of the port section and the starboard section. However, there is a need to improve the performance of the buoyancy section that maintains the balance of the boat on the water surface and to reduce manufacturing costs, and there is a need for a method to utilize it for removing algae.
[0012] Registered Patent Publication No. 10-1823094 relates to a prefabricated algae removal device using a submersible pump. More specifically, it enables efficient removal of algae and purification of lake water quality by sucking water and algae from the lake surface through a submersible pump, filtering them through a filtration unit, and then discharging them back into the water. It also ensures that the pump suction port of the submersible pump, which sucks in the lake water and algae, remains continuously positioned on the lake surface. However, there is a problem in that the exposed appearance of the body part where the floating member and the submersible pump are installed detracts from the aesthetics.
[0013] Registered Patent Publication No. 10-2606502 relates to a mobile eco-fountain and comprises: a disc-shaped buoyancy body that is submerged in water of a certain volume and rises to the water surface by receiving buoyancy; a water pump installed inside the disc-shaped buoyancy body to suck in water from the water and discharge it at high pressure; fountain nozzles arranged in a circular arrangement in multiple stages around the circumference of the disc-shaped buoyancy body with varying heights and radii, connected to the water pump to form a fountain that ejects at high pressure; lighting LEDs arranged in a circular arrangement around the disc-shaped buoyancy body avoiding the fountain nozzles and operated by a battery or external power source; an underwater spray nozzle installed at the bottom of the disc-shaped buoyancy body facing the underwater bottom, connected to the water pump to eject water into the water to remove an oxygen-free layer in the water; and a control unit that controls the operation of the water pump and the lighting LEDs. However, there is a problem in increasing the size of the disc-shaped buoyancy body and the power supply amount depending on the capacity and performance of the water pump.
[0014] Chinese Utility Model Publication No. 206485516 relates to a hull equipped with a buoyancy unit, wherein the hull body is composed of a bow section 1, a middle section 2, and a stern section 3, and the lower parts of the bow section 1, the lower part of the middle section 2, and the lower part of the stern section 3 are fixed through detachable bolts, which are detachable parts, and there are three detachable buoyancy units, and both ends of the buoyancy units are connected to the inner wall of the hull using detachable bolts, and the buoyancy units can increase the rigidity of the hull and allow the hull to float on water when the ship capsizes, while also being used as a chair. However, there is a need to improve the performance of the buoyancy units that maintain the balance of the ship on the water surface and reduce manufacturing costs, and there is a need for a method to utilize this for removing algae. [0049] The central lower keel (312) above connects and fixes the middle portions of the port side (110) and the starboard side (120) to each other.
[0050] The above-mentioned front lower keel (322) is positioned between the bow section (210) and the central lower keel (312) to connect and fix the front parts of the port section (110) and the starboard section (120) to each other.
[0051] The rear lower keel (332) is positioned between the stern (220) and the central lower keel (312) to connect and secure the rear portions of the port side (110) and the starboard side (120).
[0052] The central lower keel (312), the front lower keel (322), and the rear lower keel (332) are not structured to seal the lower part of the hull, and a wide gap is formed between them to allow water to flow in, so that the central lower keel (312), the front lower keel (322), and the rear lower keel (332) are submerged in water.
[0053] When the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention is floated on a reservoir or river, the central lower keel (312), the front lower keel (322), and the rear lower keel (332) are submerged in water, and the lower parts of the port side (110) and the starboard side (120) are also submerged in water, so that when viewed from the outside, the appearance of a normal boat is naturally displayed without compromising the aesthetics.
[0054] Referring to FIG. 2, the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention includes a central port buoyancy part (410) and a central starboard buoyancy part (411), a front port buoyancy part (420) and a front starboard buoyancy part (421), and a rear port buoyancy part (430) and a rear starboard buoyancy part (431), which are respectively attached and fixed to the inner sides of the port side (110) and the starboard side (120).
[0055] The balance of the ship can be easily maintained by at least one buoyancy member attached to the inner side of the port side (110) and the starboard side (120), respectively.
[0056] The central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411), the front port buoyancy section (420) and the front starboard buoyancy section (421), and the rear port buoyancy section (430) and the rear starboard buoyancy section (431) can be fixed to the inside of the port section (110) and the starboard section (120) with bolts, screws, etc.
[0057] The central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411), the forward port buoyancy section (420) and the forward starboard buoyancy section (421), and the rear port buoyancy section (430) and the rear starboard buoyancy section (431) require a sealed structure and waterproofing treatment, but since other components connected thereto do not require a sealed structure and waterproofing treatment, assembly and disassembly are possible.
[0058] In addition, the central port buoyancy section (410), the central starboard buoyancy section (411), the forward port buoyancy section (420), the forward starboard buoyancy section (421), and the rear port buoyancy section (430) and the rear starboard buoyancy section (431) are positioned inside the hull, which is the inner side of the port section (110) and the starboard section (120), so they are not exposed to the outside, allowing the appearance of the ship to be displayed naturally without compromising the aesthetics.
[0059] Additionally, the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411), the front port buoyancy section (420) and the front starboard buoyancy section (421), and the rear port buoyancy section (430) and the rear starboard buoyancy section (431) may each be formed in a semi-cylindrical shape, and a flat section (415) including the diameter of the semi-cylindrical shape is attached and fixed to the inner side of the port section (110) and the starboard section (120), respectively.
[0060] Meanwhile, through holes may be formed in the flat portions (415) of the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411), and water may flow into the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411) through the through holes to help maintain the balance of the ship.
[0061] At this time, it is preferable that no through holes are formed in the front port buoyancy section (420) and the front starboard buoyancy section (421), and in the rear port buoyancy section (430) and the rear starboard buoyancy section (431).
[0062] Referring to FIG. 3, an underwater pump (500) is placed on the upper part of the central lower keel (312) of the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention, and water is introduced from the bottom of the boat and discharged through the vertical discharge section (510).
[0063] A protective storage unit (600) may be further provided to wrap around and protect the underwater pump (500), and the protective storage unit (600) and the central lower keel (312) may wrap around and protect the side and bottom of the underwater pump (500).
[0064] In addition, the lower surface or side portion of the protective storage portion (600) and the central lower keel portion (312) may be opened so that water can easily flow in from the bottom of the ship and be sucked in by the underwater pump (500).
[0065] Referring to FIG. 4, the upper end of the port side (110) is provided with an upper flange (111) formed by being bent outward from the front to the back, and the upper end of the starboard side (120) is also provided with an upper flange (121) formed by being bent outward from the front to the back.
[0066] On the upper surface of the upper flange (111, 121), the front upper keel (321), the central upper keel (311), and the rear upper keel (331) are arranged in order to connect and fix the port side (110) and the starboard side (120) to each other.
[0067] The above-mentioned front upper keel (321), the above-mentioned central upper keel (311), and the above-mentioned rear upper keel (331) can be fixed by being in close contact with the upper surface of the above-mentioned upper flange (111, 121) at their upper portions, such as by bolts, screws, etc., so as to correspond to the above-mentioned front lower keel (322), the above-mentioned central lower keel (312), and the above-mentioned rear lower keel (332), respectively.
[0068] A horizontal discharge section (520) is positioned on the upper part of the central upper keel (311), and is connected to the vertical discharge section (510) at the center of the horizontal discharge section (520) so that water sucked from the underwater pump (500) passes through it.
[0069] A spray nozzle (530) is installed at one end or both ends of the horizontal discharge section (520) so that water sucked in from the underwater pump (500) is discharged into the air like a fountain through the vertical discharge section (510) and the horizontal discharge section (520).
[0070] In addition, the end of the horizontal discharge section (520) is connected to the spray nozzle (530) at a predetermined angle so that the discharged water is discharged upward while forming a predetermined angle.
[0071] A converter (810) for connecting power to an LED (820) installed for lighting may be installed on the upper part of the central upper keel (311), and a power cable (800) connected from the outside supplies power to the underwater pump (500) and the converter (810).
[0073] FIG. 5 illustrates the assembled appearance of the entire decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention.
[0074] Referring to FIG. 5, a mast (700) is erected and fixed to the front upper keel (321) and the rear upper keel (331), and a sail (710) can be attached to the mast (700) to decorate it.
[0075] In addition, an LED (820) is installed on the mast (700) or the sail (710) for lighting, and a power cable (800) connected from the outside supplies power to the converter (810), and a colorful light can be formed by the LED (820).
[0076] Since algae blooms can occur in stagnant water such as lakes or rivers, especially reservoirs, when the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention is floated on the reservoir and operated to remove or suppress the occurrence of algae blooms, the water sucked in by the underwater pump (500) is discharged into the air like a fountain through the vertical discharge section (510) and the horizontal discharge section (520).
[0077] The decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention can be operated periodically to suppress the occurrence of algae, and by discharging water like a fountain and forming a colorful light with the LED (820), the appearance of the boat is naturally displayed without damaging the aesthetics, and especially at night, the water surface can be decorated colorfully.
[0078] Generally, boats must be formed with a sealed structure and waterproofed over the entire lower section to prevent the interior of the hull from being flooded; however, the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention is not intended for human boarding, so there is no need to form a sealed structure or waterproof it over the entire lower section.
[0079] Hundreds of decorative boats are floated on rivers during various cultural festivals, but storing these boats after the event can be difficult because they are not only large but also take up a significant amount of storage space.
[0080] Therefore, hundreds of decorative boats are disassembled to reduce their volume for storage. However, if the disassembled parts are stacked on top of each other for a long time, the bottom of the boat may be damaged and the waterproofing function may be compromised. Thus, the entire bottom of the boat must be waterproofed whenever it is reassembled.
[0081] Since repeatedly performing waterproofing treatment on the entire bottom of the boat consumes excessive time and cost, a buoyancy unit is used. Conventional structures for installing buoyancy units place the buoyancy unit on the outer side of the bottom of the decorative boat to float the decorative boat on the river.
[0082] However, if the buoyancy unit is placed on the lower outer side of the decorative boat, there is a problem in that the entire boat and the buoyancy unit are exposed above the water surface even when the boat is floated on the river, which spoils the aesthetics.
[0083] In addition, compared to the case where a buoyancy element is placed in the center of the interior of a decorative boat, the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention places buoyancy elements on the left and right sides of the interior, making it easier to maintain the balance of the boat.
[0084] In addition, since decorative boats made of wood are easily damaged during long-term storage, it is preferable that the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention be made of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastics). FRP has the advantage of being lightweight and resistant to external corrosion, so it does not get damaged even when stored for a long time.
[0086] FIG. 6 illustrates an exploded view of a decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention.
[0087] Referring to FIG. 6, the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention comprises a port side (110), a starboard side (120), a bow (210), a stern (220), a central lower keel (312), a forward lower keel (322), and a rear lower keel (332), and includes a central port buoyancy section (410) and a central starboard buoyancy section (411), a forward port buoyancy section (420) and a forward starboard buoyancy section (421), a rear port buoyancy section (430) and a rear starboard buoyancy section (431), which are respectively attached and fixed to the inner sides of the port side (110) and the starboard side (120).
[0088] A submersible pump (500) is positioned on the upper part of the central lower keel (312) of the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention, and an upper flange (111) formed by bending outward from front to back is provided at the upper end of the port side (110), and an upper flange (121) formed by bending outward from front to back is also provided at the upper end of the starboard side (120).
[0089] On the upper surface of the upper flange (111, 121), the front upper keel (321), the central upper keel (311), and the rear upper keel (331) are arranged in order to connect and fix the port side (110) and the starboard side (120) to each other.
[0090] The above-mentioned front upper keel (321), the above-mentioned central upper keel (311), and the above-mentioned rear upper keel (331) can be fixed by being in close contact with the upper surface of the above-mentioned upper flange (111, 121) at their upper portions, such as by bolts, screws, etc., so as to correspond to the above-mentioned front lower keel (322), the above-mentioned central lower keel (312), and the above-mentioned rear lower keel (332), respectively.
[0091] The protective storage portion (600) can wrap around the underwater pump (500) to protect it, and the protective storage portion (600) and the central lower keel portion (312) can wrap around and protect the side and bottom of the underwater pump (500).
[0092] In addition, the lower surface or side portion of the protective storage portion (600) and the central lower keel portion (312) may be opened so that water can easily flow in from the bottom of the ship and be sucked in by the underwater pump (500).
[0093] A mast (700) is erected and fixed to the front upper keel (321) and the rear upper keel (331), and a sail (710) can be attached to the mast (700) to decorate it.
[0094] In addition, an LED (820) is installed on the mast (700) or the sail (710) for lighting, and a power cable (800) connected from the outside supplies power to the converter (810), and a colorful light can be formed by the LED (820).
[0095] Additionally, the mast (700) can be fixed by penetrating the front upper keel (321) and the front lower keel (322), and when two masts (700) are installed, another mast (700) can be fixed by penetrating the rear upper keel (331) and the rear lower keel (332).
[0096] Additionally, a lower through hole (412) and an upper through hole (413) may be formed in the flat portion (415) of the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411). Water flows into the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411) through the lower through hole (412), and internal air is discharged through the upper through hole (413). This allows water to fill the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411), thereby helping to maintain the balance of the ship and enabling the hull to float more stably on the water surface.
[0097] Even if the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411) are respectively attached and fixed to the inner sides of the port section (110) and the starboard section (120), water can flow in between the attachment surfaces and fill the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411) through the lower through hole (412).
[0098] Although not shown in the drawing, the lower surface or side portion of the protective storage portion (600) and the central lower keel portion (312) are opened so that water can easily flow in from the bottom of the ship, and the lower portion of the underwater pump (500) installed on the upper part of the central lower keel portion (312) is submerged in water so that water can be sucked in.
[0100] FIG. 7 illustrates the central port side buoyancy section and the central starboard side buoyancy section of a decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention.
[0101] Referring to FIG. 7(a), the curved surface (414) of the buoyancy part formed in a semi-cylindrical shape of the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention is shown.
[0102] The central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411), the front port buoyancy section (420) and the front starboard buoyancy section (421), and the rear port buoyancy section (430) and the rear starboard buoyancy section (431) of the present invention can all be formed in a semi-cylindrical shape.
[0103] Referring to FIG. 7(b), the planar portion (415) of the buoyancy portion formed in a semi-cylindrical shape of the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention is illustrated.
[0104] Meanwhile, through holes may be formed in the flat portions (415) of the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411), and water may flow into the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411) through the through holes to help maintain the balance of the ship.
[0105] At this time, it is preferable that no through holes are formed in the front port buoyancy section (420) and the front starboard buoyancy section (421), and in the rear port buoyancy section (430) and the rear starboard buoyancy section (431).
[0106] Additionally, a lower through hole (412) and an upper through hole (413) may be formed in the flat portion (415) of the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411).
[0107] Even if the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411) are respectively attached and fixed to the inner sides of the port section (110) and the starboard section (120), water can flow in between the attachment surfaces and fill the central port buoyancy section (410) and the central starboard buoyancy section (411) through the lower through hole (412).
[0109] FIG. 8 illustrates a spray nozzle of a decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention.
[0110] Referring to FIG. 8, a spray nozzle (530) of a decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention is illustrated.
[0111] A spray nozzle (530) is installed at one end or both ends of the horizontal discharge section (520) so that water sucked in from the underwater pump (500) is discharged into the air like a fountain through the vertical discharge section (510) and the horizontal discharge section (520).
[0112] In addition, the end of the horizontal discharge section (520) is connected to the spray nozzle (530) at a predetermined angle so that the discharged water is discharged upward while forming a predetermined angle.
[0114] FIG. 9 illustrates an underwater pump for a decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention.
[0115] Referring to FIG. 9, the underwater pump (500) of the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention has a motor and an impeller arranged inside, and by the rotation of the impeller, water is sucked in through the inlet (610) and delivered to the horizontal discharge (520) via the vertical discharge (510).
[0116] The above-mentioned submersible pump (500) is positioned above the central lower keel (312) and installed inside the hull so as not to be exposed to the outside, but the central lower keel (312), as well as the front lower keel (322) and the rear lower keel (332), are not structured to seal the lower part of the hull, and a wide gap is formed between them to allow water to flow in, so that the submersible pump (500) can suck water from a reservoir, etc.
[0117] Ultimately, when the decorative boat for removing algae according to the present invention is floated on a reservoir or river, the central lower keel (312), the front lower keel (322), and the rear lower keel (332) are submerged in water, and the lower parts of the port side (110) and the starboard side (120) are also submerged in water, so that when viewed from the outside, the appearance of a normal boat is naturally displayed while the algae removal operation can be performed.
