[0003] In modern society, the disposal of food waste is becoming a very important task from an environmental and hygienic perspective.

[0004] In particular, various types of food waste processors (reducers) have been developed to quickly and hygienically process large amounts of food waste generated in households and restaurants.

[0005] Generally, food waste disposers are installed under the sink and receive food waste, dry or grind it to reduce its volume, and have a structure in which the ground residue is collected in a separate collection container.

[0006] With the food waste disposer mentioned above, not only is there a limitation on installation space under the sink, but the height of the sink varies from household to household, sometimes differing by more than 100mm, making it very difficult to adjust the height of the main unit during installation.

[0007] To explain in more detail, firstly, when combining the sink inlet housing and the food waste disposer body, there was the inconvenience of having to use screws or clamps for installation due to the cramped installation space.

[0008] Second, due to the varying sizes and heights of sinks installed in homes, there was an inefficient problem requiring the wooden pipes connecting to the main body to be cut with a saw or additional installations such as rubber bands and cable ties.

[0009] Third, there was a problem where costs and time increased due to the difficulty of installation and removal caused by the same issue during the maintenance of the food waste disposer.

[0010] Accordingly, considering the diversity of sink installation environments, there is room for improvement in the technology of food waste disposers that allow users to easily install and maintain them themselves, and thus new proposals are required. The problem to be solved

[0012] The present invention was devised to solve the above-mentioned problems, and the objective of the present invention is to provide a height adjustment device for a food waste disposer that can precisely control the raising and lowering of the main body through a lifting mechanism using a reduction motor and a wire, solves the problems of height deviation of the sink and narrow installation space, is compatible in various environments, improves installation efficiency, and significantly reduces maintenance costs.

[0028] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the drawings.

[0029] First, FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a height adjustment device for a food waste disposer according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of a height adjustment device for a food waste disposer according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a height adjustment device for a food waste disposer according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 4 is an enlarged view of the anti-detachment hook of the present invention fixed in an anti-detachment hole.

[0030] A height adjustment device for a food waste disposer according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a lifting pipe (110) fixed to the lower part of a motor bracket (13) that supports a processing unit (11) for drying and grinding food waste; a lifting plate (120) inserted and coupled to wrap around the outer surface of the lifting pipe (110); a bottom plate (130) disposed at the lower end of the lifting pipe (110); a reduction motor (140) fixed to the upper part of one side of the bottom plate (130) and rotating in a forward direction; and a rotating roller (150) fixed to the drive shaft of the reduction motor (140) and passing horizontally through the lifting pipe (110) and the lifting plate (120). The above includes a wire (160) with one end fixed to both ends of the rotating roller (150) and the other end fixed to the top of the lifting plate (120). When the reduction motor (140) rotates, the lifting plate (120) is supported on the bottom surface inside the sink, and the main body (10) of the food waste disposer rises and is fixed to the bottom of the sink. In the event of a power outage, the main body (10) is prevented from descending to ensure safety. This is explained in more detail as follows.

[0031] First, a stirring unit (12) for stirring food is installed inside a processing unit (11) for drying and grinding food, and a motor bracket (13) for fixing a plurality of motors is fixed to the lower part of the processing unit (11).

[0032] A flange (20) fixed to the lower part of the sink is tightly connected to the upper part of the processing unit (11) by a packing.

[0033] The above lifting pipe (110) is formed to a certain length and is fixed to the lower part of the motor bracket through a fixing screw.

[0034] Through holes (111) that open downward may be formed on the lower sides of the lifting pipe (110). The upper end of the through holes (111) is formed in a semicircular shape and rests on the upper outer surface of the rotating roller (150).

[0035] A stirring motor that drives the stirrer inside the processing unit (11) can be mounted on the inner side of the lifting pipe (110).

[0036] The lifting plate (120) may include an outer lifting body (121), a footrest (122), a guide slot (123), and a fixing hole (124).

[0037] The above outer lifting body (121) is connected to the outside of the lifting pipe (110).

[0038] That is, the present invention allows the main body (10) of a food waste disposer to be easily fixed to the lower part of a sink through a structure in which the lifting pipe (110) and the outer lifting body (121) are raised by the winding operation of a wire.

[0039] The above footrest (122) is formed at the lower part of the outer lifting body (121) and can be formed with an area larger than the outer lifting body (121) and smaller than the floor plate (130).

[0040] Normally, the footrest (122) is inserted into a receiving groove (131) formed on the inner side of the base plate (130), and the lower part of the footrest (122) and the lower part of the base plate (130) are formed in the same line so that they do not protrude to the outside of the base plate (130).

[0041] The above guide slot (123) is formed vertically for a certain length on both sides of the outer lifting body (121). The guide slot (123) moves without interference from the rotating roller (150) when the outer lifting body (121) descends in the downward direction.

[0042] The above fixing holes (124) are formed on each side of the upper part of the outer lifting body (121).

[0043] The fixing hole (124) is a vertically penetrating hole, and the other end of the wire (160) can be fixed by being joined with a fixing means such as a fixing pin while passing through the fixing hole (124).

[0044] An anti-detachment hook (126) is formed on one side of the upper part of the outer lifting body (121), and the anti-detachment hook (126) is formed to have its own elasticity.

[0045] A through hole (125) is formed in the motor bracket, which is in a vertical position relative to the above-mentioned anti-detachment hook (126). Accordingly, the anti-detachment hook (126) is caught in the anti-detachment hole (125), so that the lifting plate (120) does not come off the lifting pipe (110).

[0046] The above anti-detachment hole (125) may be formed with an inclined structure so that the anti-detachment hook (126) can be easily coupled to the motor bracket.

[0047] Accordingly, a slope (125a) inclined in one direction may be formed at the lower part of the anti-detachment hole (125), and the upper part of the anti-detachment hook (126) can be elastically deformed as it comes into contact with the slope (125a) to easily pass through the anti-detachment hole (125).

[0048] That is, when the food waste disposer is not installed, the anti-detachment hook (126) is elastically connected to the anti-detachment hole (125), so when the user moves the main body (10) of the food waste disposer, the lifting plate (120) can be prevented from coming off the lifting pipe (110), and when the main body of the food waste disposer is fixed to the bottom of the sink, the lifting plate (120) descends and the anti-detachment hook (126) comes off the anti-detachment hole (125).

[0049] Additionally, the floor plate (130) is formed with a larger surface area than the footplate (122) of the lifting plate (120).

[0050] The above-mentioned bottom plate (130) is formed at the bottom of the food waste disposer and is fixed to the main body (10) which forms the basic shape of the food waste disposer.

[0051] The floor plate (130) is located at the bottom of the lifting pipe (110), and a receiving groove (131) is formed in the bottom of the floor plate (130) so that the footrest (122) of the lifting plate (120) can be inserted, and a lifting space (132) is formed in the center of the floor plate (130).

[0052] A lifting plate (120) is connected to the lifting space (132) to allow for lifting.

[0053] The above reduction motor (140) is fixed to one side of the upper part of the base plate (130).

[0054] The reduction motor (140) is structured to rotate only in the forward direction and not rotate in the reverse direction.

[0055] The above reduction motor (140) ensures that the through hole (111) of the lifting pipe (110) and the guide slot (123) of the lifting plate (120) are aligned on the same line.

[0056] The reduction motor (140) can be fixed to the bottom plate (130) by a fixing bracket (141).

[0057] The above-mentioned fixed bracket (141) is formed by bending it into an 'L' shape, and a fixing hole (141a) into which a fixing protrusion of a reduction motor (140) is inserted can be formed through the vertical surface.

[0058] The horizontal plate of the above-mentioned fixed bracket (141) is seated on the upper part of the fixed rib (142) formed on the bottom plate (130) and fixed through a fixing screw, thereby firmly fixing the reduction motor (140) to prevent movement, and thus preventing operation errors or noise caused by friction of the reduction motor (140).

[0059] The above-mentioned rotating roller (150) can be fixed to the drive shaft of the reduction motor (140).

[0060] The rotating roller (150) is installed in a direction perpendicular to the lifting direction of the lifting plate (120) and is coupled by sequentially passing through the guide slot (123) of the lifting plate (120) and the through hole (111) of the lifting pipe (110).

[0061] Both ends of the rotating roller (150) are formed to be exposed to a certain length on both sides of the lifting plate (120), and rotate only in the forward direction by driving the reduction motor (140).

[0062] The above wire (160) raises the main body (10) of the food waste disposer by the rotation of the rotating roller (150).

[0063] The above wire (160) can be connected to each side of the lifting plate (120), with one end fixed to the rotating roller (150) and the other end fixed to the fixing hole (124) formed on the upper part of the lifting plate (120).

[0065] The following describes the installation state of the height adjustment device for the food waste disposer of the present invention configured as described above.

[0066] First, referring to FIGS. 5 to 8, a discharge unit (30) for discharging food waste is attached to the lower part of the sink (S) and secured using a bolt / nut.

[0067] In this state, the upper flange (20) of the food waste disposer is positioned at the lower part of the discharge section (30), and is positioned as close as possible to the discharge section (30) when viewed visually by the user.

[0068] When the lifting button is pressed on the control unit provided on the front of the main body (10) of the food waste disposer, the reduction motor (140) rotates in the forward direction and at the same time the rotating roller (150) rotates as a whole.

[0069] As the above-mentioned rotating roller (150) rotates, the wire (160) is wound onto the rotating roller (150), and the main body (10) and bottom plate (130) of the food waste disposer are raised at a low speed by the force of the wire (160) being wound.

[0070] When the main body (10) and the bottom plate (130) are raised, the anti-detachment hook (126) that was connected to the anti-detachment hole (125) formed in the motor bracket (13) is elastically deformed and detached from the anti-detachment hole (125).

[0071] Additionally, when the main body (10) and the bottom plate (130) are raised, the flange (20) provided on the upper part of the processing section (11) is connected to the discharge section (30) at the bottom of the sink (S).

[0072] Here, the upper inner surface of the flange (20) is formed at an angle, so even if the position of the flange (20) is not in the same position as the discharge part (30), the angled surface acts as a guide.

[0073] As described above, when the main body (10) is in a raised state, the footrest (122) of the lifting plate (120) is seated and supported on the floor inside the sink (S), so the food waste disposer can maintain a solid fixed state, and the food waste disposer can be easily installed even in a self-installation environment, as well as easily maintained.

[0074] Although preferred embodiments of the present invention have been illustrated and described above, the present invention is not limited to the specific embodiments described above. Various modifications are possible by those skilled in the art without departing from the essence of the invention as claimed in the claims, and such modifications should not be understood individually from the technical spirit or perspective of the present invention.
