[0035] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, a vehicle imaging system according to the present invention comprises an external camera unit (10) comprising a plurality of cameras positioned outside the vehicle to capture images of the surroundings of the vehicle, an internal camera unit (20) comprising a plurality of cameras positioned inside the vehicle to capture images of the interior of the vehicle, a driving information receiving unit (30) for receiving driving information such as the speed and location of the vehicle, a display unit (40) connected to the external camera unit (10), the internal camera unit (20), and the driving information receiving unit (30) to display information, a data storage unit (50) for storing data transmitted from the external camera unit (10), the internal camera unit (20), and the driving information receiving unit (30), and a control unit (60) for generating control signals, wherein an image captured by the external camera unit (10) is combined and displayed through an external image display unit on the display unit (40), and an image captured by the internal camera unit (20) is displayed through an internal image display unit on the display unit It is characterized by being configured such that the speed of the vehicle and the engine RPM received through the driving information receiving unit (30) are displayed through the driving status display unit (44) on the display unit.

[0036] The vehicle imaging system according to the present invention can be applied to various types of vehicles, but preferably can be installed in a bus to promote safe driving.

[0037] The above external camera unit (10) includes a plurality of cameras positioned outside a vehicle, such as a bus, to capture images of the surroundings of the vehicle.

[0038] The above external camera unit (10) may be configured to include various numbers of cameras, for example, as shown in FIG. 2, it may include camera 1 for photographing the front of the vehicle, cameras 2 and 3 for photographing the left side, camera 4 for photographing the rear, and cameras 5 and 6 for photographing the right side, but the number of cameras installed may be varied.

[0039] For example, the external camera unit (10) may be configured to include a range of 4 to 8 cameras for photographing the front, rear, left, and right sides of the vehicle, but the specific number is not limited thereto.

[0040] The above internal camera unit (20) is positioned inside the bus vehicle and includes a plurality of cameras for capturing images of various areas inside the vehicle.

[0041] The above-mentioned driving information receiving unit (30) receives driving information such as the vehicle's speed, engine RPM, and current location.

[0042] In order to receive the above-mentioned driving information, the driving information receiving unit (30) may be connected to the vehicle's control panel, and the control panel is configured to receive various signals such as door control signals, direction indicator switch control signals, and transmission gear operation signals.

[0043] In addition, the driving information receiving unit (30) can be connected to a GPS module to receive the current location of the vehicle.

[0044] The above display unit (40) is configured to display information by being connected to the external camera unit (10), the internal camera unit (20), and the operation information receiving unit (30).

[0045] The above display unit (40) may be configured as a monitor, and preferably as a touch screen type monitor.

[0046] The above data storage unit (50) stores data transmitted from the external camera unit (10), the internal camera unit (20), and the operation information receiving unit (30).

[0047] The above data storage unit (50) may be placed inside the vehicle, but may also be configured as a data storage server outside the vehicle that can store data using an internet network through a communication unit (70).

[0048] The control unit (60) is configured to receive control signals from various configurations as described above, or to generate control signals for controlling the configurations.

[0049] The image captured by the external camera unit (10) is combined with a vehicle image as shown in FIG. 2 and displayed through the external image display unit on the display unit (40).

[0050] As described above, around-view monitoring technology can be used for combining images captured by the external camera unit (10).

[0051] And, the image captured by the internal camera unit (20) is displayed through the internal image display unit on the display unit (40).

[0052] As illustrated in FIG. 3, the screen of the display unit (40) may be composed of a plurality of regions, and for example, an image captured and combined by the external camera unit (10) and an image captured by the internal camera unit (20) may be displayed in the first to sixth display units.

[0053] For example, the combined image captured by the external camera unit (10) may be displayed on the third display unit and the sixth display unit, and the image captured by the internal camera unit (20) may be displayed on the first, second, fourth, and fifth display units, but is not limited thereto and various modifications are possible.

[0054] And, the vehicle speed and engine RPM received through the above-mentioned driving information receiving unit (30) can be displayed through the driving status display unit (44) of the above-mentioned display unit (40).

[0055] Thus, the bus driver is configured to determine whether the current vehicle operating speed and engine RPM are appropriate by looking at the vehicle speed and engine RPM displayed through the above-mentioned operating status display unit (44).

[0056] Additionally, an external input device not shown, such as a PC (Personal Computer) or a laptop, is connected to the display unit (40), and configured to allow setting and inputting the vehicle's reference speed and reference engine RPM through the reference state input unit (46).

[0057] Alternatively, the display unit (40) may be configured to be a touchscreen monitor so that the reference speed and reference engine RPM are input through the reference state input unit (46).

[0058] And, the reference speed and reference engine RPM entered as above are stored in the data storage unit (50).

[0059] In addition, when the actual speed or engine RPM of the vehicle exceeds the reference value set as above when compared with the reference speed and reference engine RPM of the vehicle set as above, it is configured to be displayed on the display unit (40).

[0060] At this time, if the speed or engine RPM of the vehicle exceeds the reference value set as above, preferably, the current speed or engine RPM of the vehicle may be configured to be displayed through the entire screen of the display unit (40).

[0061] That is, when the speed or engine RPM of the vehicle is within the set reference value, the speed and engine RPM are displayed on the driving status display unit (44) of the display unit (40), but if it exceeds the reference value, the excess speed or engine RPM is displayed through the entire screen of the display unit (40).

[0062] Thus, it is configured so that the driver can clearly visually recognize the excess vehicle speed and engine RPM.

[0063] In addition, the number of times the speed or engine RPM of the vehicle exceeds the reference value set as above can be configured to be displayed on the display unit (40).

[0064] The number of times the above standard value is exceeded can be calculated, for example, based on one operation day, and the number of times the standard value is exceeded as above can also be configured to be displayed through the entire screen of the display unit (40).

[0065] For example, if the speed or engine RPM of the vehicle exceeds the reference value, the exceeded speed or engine RPM is displayed on the entire screen of the display unit (40), and when the state of exceeding the reference value as described above ends and the speed or engine RPM of the vehicle becomes within the reference value, the number of times the reference value was exceeded as described above is displayed on the entire screen of the display unit (40).

[0066] Meanwhile, the above-mentioned driving information receiving unit (30) may be configured to receive a direction indicator switch signal of the vehicle.

[0067] The above-mentioned turn signal is generated according to the direction operated when the vehicle driver operates the turn signal switch (also known as a blinker), and, for example, a right or left turn signal may be generated.

[0068] In addition, according to the right or left direction indicator switch signal as described above, a pre-designated image among the images captured by the external camera unit may be configured to be displayed at a pre-designated position on the display unit (40).

[0069] For example, if the direction indicator switch signal is a right signal, images captured by camera 5 and camera 6 positioned on the right side of the vehicle can be displayed on the entire screen of the first to sixth display units.

[0070] Alternatively, if the direction indicator switch signal is a left signal, images captured by the 2nd camera and the 3rd camera positioned on the left side of the vehicle may be displayed on the entire screen of the 1st to 6th display units.

[0071] Thus, when changing the direction of travel of the vehicle, the image of the direction to be traveled is displayed sufficiently large through the display unit (40) so that the driver can clearly confirm it.

[0072] Alternatively, for the visual convenience of the driver, preferably, the image from camera 2 and camera 3 or the image from camera 5 and camera 6 according to the left or right direction indicator switch signal may be configured to be displayed through the entire screen of the display unit (40).

[0073] In addition, the above-mentioned driving information receiving unit (30) is configured to receive a vehicle door opening signal, and can be configured so that a pre-designated image among the images captured by the external camera unit according to the door opening signal is displayed at a pre-designated location on the display unit.

[0074] In the case of a bus, a front door and a rear door are installed, and the front door and rear door are opened or closed by the operation of a switch by the driver.

[0075] When the driver operates the switch to open the front door or the rear door, the image from the camera that captures the front door or the rear door portion is received by receiving the switch operation signal and can be displayed on the display unit (40) in the first to sixth display units, or displayed through the entire display unit (40) screen.

[0076] In addition, the video captured as described above is configured to be stored in the data storage unit (50).

[0077] Thus, by capturing an image of the front or rear door being open and displaying it as large as possible on the display unit (40) and storing it in the data storage unit (50), the driver is configured to be able to identify the situation near the door and, if an accident is anticipated, take prompt action by sounding the horn or closing the door.

[0078] In addition, the video captured as described above can be stored in the data storage unit (50) and used as data to determine the cause of the accident.

[0079] And, the above-mentioned driving information receiving unit (30) can be configured to receive a transmission gear signal of the vehicle.

[0080] The above transmission gear signal is generated when the vehicle driver operates the transmission gear, and according to the above transmission gear signal, a pre-designated image among the images captured by the external camera unit (10) can be configured to be displayed at a pre-designated position on the display unit (40).

[0081] The above transmission gear signal may be a transmission gear signal for reversing the vehicle, and when the transmission gear is operated in a reverse state as described above, the image captured by the 4th camera may be configured to be displayed through the entire screen of the 1st to 6th display units or the display unit (40).

[0082] Therefore, when the vehicle is reversing, the image of the rear of the vehicle is displayed as large as possible, allowing the driver to conveniently grasp the situation in the direction of travel visually.

[0083] Meanwhile, an operating state input unit (48) for inputting the speed or engine RPM value of the vehicle is formed, and the image captured by the external camera unit (10) and the internal camera unit (20) in a state corresponding to the speed or engine RPM value of the vehicle input through the operating state input unit (48) can be configured to be displayed on the display unit (40).

[0084] For inputting the vehicle speed or engine RPM through the above-mentioned driving status input unit (48), an input device such as a PC or a laptop may be used, or the above-mentioned display unit (40) may be configured as a touchscreen monitor.

[0085] The vehicle speed or engine RPM value input through the above-mentioned driving state input unit (48) may be configured to be input as a specified range.

[0086] The system is configured so that the image corresponding to the vehicle speed or engine RPM value input through the above driving state input unit (48) is displayed through the above display unit (40), and so that the situation inside and outside the vehicle in the event of an accident or an abnormality can be identified by checking the image, for example, in a situation of overspeeding or high engine RPM.

[0087] Preferably, the driving information receiving unit (30) is configured to receive vehicle location data through a GPS module and can be configured to display the received location data on the display unit (40) through a map.

[0088] As described above, the location data displayed through the map can be displayed on any one of the first to sixth display units, thereby enabling the driver to easily identify the location where the vehicle is currently situated.

[0089] In addition, the display unit (40) may be configured to display the vehicle's battery temperature and brake status.

[0090] The above battery temperature may be, for example, the temperature of a battery placed inside a bus when the vehicle is an electric bus, and the above brake condition may be a signal indicating whether there is no abnormality in the operation of the brake.

[0091] The temperature and brake status of the battery can be displayed on the operating status display unit (44).

[0092] In addition, the image captured by a designated camera unit among the external camera unit (10) and the internal camera unit (20) can be configured to be displayed at a designated location on the display unit (40).

[0093] That is, when a specific camera among the cameras included in the external camera unit (10) or a specific camera among the cameras included in the internal camera unit (20) is selected by a bus vehicle driver or other manager, the image captured by the selected camera may be displayed on the display unit (40) at a location selected by the driver or manager among the first to sixth display units.

[0094] Thus, the bus vehicle driver or manager can select the location where the image captured by the cameras included in the external camera unit (10) and the internal camera unit (20) is displayed on the display unit (40).

[0095] With the above configuration, the driver or manager is configured to change the display position of the image captured by the cameras included in the external camera unit (10) and the internal camera unit (20) according to the needs identified through vehicle operation.

[0096] Additionally, when a driver or manager selects an image captured by the external camera unit (10) and the internal camera unit (20), the display unit (40) may be configured to enlarge and display it at a predetermined size.

[0097] For example, the image captured by the camera selected by the driver may be configured to be displayed on the entire screen of the display unit (40).

[0098] Thus, the system is configured so that, if necessary, the driver or manager can observe the video in detail by greatly enlarging the footage captured by a specific camera.

[0099] Meanwhile, preferably, the system includes a communication unit (70) for communication, and the image captured by the internal camera unit (20) can be configured to be transmitted to a pre-designated external server device through the communication unit (70).

[0100] The above external server device may be a server device installed by a manager who manages bus vehicles, or a server device installed by a government agency that manages bus operations.

[0101] As described above, by transmitting the video captured by the internal camera unit (20) to an external server device, the situation inside the bus can be identified and used as data for determining the number of passengers, or as data for determining the cause of an accident in the future.

[0102] In addition, if the speed, engine RPM, battery temperature, etc. of the vehicle exceed a predetermined standard value and this condition persists for a predetermined period of time or longer, it may be configured to notify a predetermined agency through the communication unit (70).

[0103] The above-mentioned predetermined reference value may be set to be the same as the above reference speed or to be slightly higher than the above reference speed.

[0104] The aforementioned pre-designated institution may be a manager managing bus vehicles or a government agency managing bus operations, and the aforementioned pre-designated time may be set to a time such as 1 minute or 3 minutes.

[0105] As described above, if a condition exceeding a pre-specified threshold value is continuously maintained for a set period of time, the system is configured to notify the vehicle manager or government agency of this condition so that necessary measures can be taken to prevent accidents.

[0106] In addition, if the speed of the vehicle is reduced by a predetermined range, it may be configured to notify a predetermined agency through the communication unit.

[0107] The case where the speed is reduced by the above-mentioned predetermined range means a case where a very large reduction occurs for a predetermined short period of time, such as when a vehicle is traveling at 50 km / h and the speed is reduced to 0 for a very short period of time within 1 to 3 seconds.

[0108] As described above, in the event of a significant deceleration in vehicle speed, the system is configured to notify the vehicle manager or an external agency of this fact, thereby enabling them to identify the situation and take necessary measures.

[0109] Meanwhile, preferably, the cameras included in the external camera unit (10) may be configured to include infrared cameras.

[0110] The infrared camera may be configured such that the cameras included in the external camera unit (10) have an infrared shooting function, or some of the cameras included in the external camera unit (10) may be configured as cameras capable of infrared shooting.

[0111] Thus, it is configured to identify and display vehicles with their headlights and taillights turned off or malfunctioning, even in dark nighttime conditions.
