[0037] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 8, a multi-stage armrest structure (100) according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a shaft (200) installed on a seat (not shown), a housing (300) that rotatably installs the shaft (200) on an armrest (10), a bracket (400) that is fastened and fixed to the shaft (200), a ratchet (500) that is rotatably fastened to the bracket (400), a sector gear portion (600) that is fastened to the armrest (10) and engages with the ratchet (500), and an elastic member (700) that applies elastic force to cause the ratchet (500) to engage with the sector gear portion (600).
[0038] Here, the elastic member (700) is provided between the bracket (400) and the ratchet (500), and is configured to apply a rotational elastic force so that the ratchet gear tooth (520) formed on the ratchet (500) meshes with the sector gear tooth (620) formed on the sector gear part (600), while simultaneously preventing axial movement of the ratchet (500) between the pair of brackets (400).
[0039] When the above armrest (10) is rotated within a certain angle range in the first direction from the initial locking state, the ratchet (500) is maintained in a state where it is engaged with the sector gear part (600), so that the user can use the armrest (10) at an angle they desire.
[0040] Here, the first direction refers to the direction of rotating one end of the armrest (10) upward with respect to FIG. 3, and the second direction refers to the direction of rotating one end of the armrest (10) downward with respect to FIG. 3.
[0041] When the armrest (10) is rotated in a first direction while locked at a preset angle, the armrest (10) can be rotated until it is unlocked and almost upright, so that it is positioned parallel to the seat back. In this state, when the armrest (10) is rotated again in a second direction by the angle of the initial locking state of the armrest (10), the armrest (10) can be switched back to a locked state.
[0042] For this operation, the armrest (10) is rotatably installed on the seat through the shaft (200).
[0043] And, the shaft (200) is installed on the seat, and one end is installed so as to rotate relative to the armrest (10). The shaft (200) is fixed to the armrest (10) in a rotating state by the housing (300). The housing (300) is fastened to the armrest (10), and the other end of the shaft (200) passes through it. The housing (300) is configured to support the shaft (200) in a state where it is installed on the armrest (10).
[0044] More specifically, the shaft (200) comprises a shaft body (210) installed in a seat by passing through a shaft through hole (310) formed in the housing (300), a flange portion (220) formed to extend radially from the shaft body (210) to have a diameter larger than the shaft through hole (310) and close to the housing (300), a bracket fastening portion (230) formed protruding axially from the flange portion (220) and fitted into a shaft fastening hole (411, 421) formed in the bracket (400), and a rotating shaft (240) formed protruding axially from the bracket fastening portion (230) and inserted into a rotating hole (11) formed in the armrest (10) to be rotatably supported.
[0045] That is, the shaft (200) is rotatably inserted into the rotation hole (11) of the armrest (10) with the rotation axis (240), and the housing (300) is fastened to the armrest (10), so that the shaft body (210) protrudes outward from the housing (300) through the shaft penetration hole (310) of the housing (300), and the armrest (10) is rotatably installed on the shaft (200) with the flange portion (220) in close contact with the inner surface of the housing (300).
[0046] The above bracket (400) is inserted and fastened into the bracket fastening portion (230) of the shaft (200) and fastened to the shaft (200).
[0047] The above bracket (400) is formed as a pair. For example, the bracket (400) may consist of a bracket body (410) and a bracket cover (420) coupled to the bracket body (410).
[0048] The above bracket body (410) is positioned on the inner circumference of the armrest (10), and a shaft fastening hole (411) into which the bracket fastening part (230) of the shaft (200) is inserted and fastened, and a hinge member fastening hole (412) into which a hinge member (430) into which the ratchet (500) is rotatably fastened is inserted through are formed.
[0049] The bracket cover (420) is positioned to be in close contact with the flange portion (220) of the shaft (200) and is fastened to the bracket body (410) while the ratchet (500) is inserted into the hinge member (430), thereby preventing the ratchet (500) from disengaging in the axial direction. In this bracket cover (420), a shaft fastening hole (421) into which the bracket fastening portion (230) of the shaft (200) is inserted and fastened, and a hinge member fastening hole (422) into which the hinge member (430) is inserted through are formed.
[0050] Here, the shaft fastening holes (411, 421) have irregularities formed along their circumference, and the outer surface of the bracket fastening part (230) of the shaft (200) also has irregularities of a corresponding shape formed thereon, so that the shaft (200) is fastened and fixed so as not to rotate relative to it.
[0051] The ratchet (500) is rotatably connected to a hinge member (430) connected to a pair of brackets (400). More specifically, the ratchet (500) comprises a ratchet body (510) inserted into the hinge member (430) and rotatably connected, a ratchet gear tooth (520) formed at the end of the ratchet body (510) and meshing with the sector gear tooth (620), and a ratchet fixing projection (530) formed protruding from one side of the ratchet body (510) and inserted and supported by the elastic member (700).
[0052] With this configuration, the ratchet (500) is positioned to face the sector gear portion (600), and the ratchet gear tooth (520) can move along the sector gear tooth (620) while engaged with the sector gear tooth (620) by the elastic force of the elastic member (700).
[0053] The ratchet (500) is inserted into a hinge member (430) connected to the bracket (400) and is rotatably connected, and the ratchet gear tooth (520) is engaged with the sector gear tooth (620) by the elastic force of the elastic member (700).
[0054] The sector gear unit (600) is connected to the armrest (10) and rotates together with the armrest (10), and is configured to engage with the ratchet (500).
[0055] More specifically, the sector gear unit (600) comprises a sector gear unit body (610) connected to the armrest (10), a sector gear tooth (620) formed along the side of the sector gear unit body (610) to mesh with the ratchet gear tooth (520), a first catch (630) formed at one end of the sector gear unit body (610) and configured to catch one end of the ratchet body (510), and a second catch (640) formed at the other end of the sector gear unit body (610) and configured to catch the other end of the ratchet body (510).
[0056] The sector gear body (610) has a plurality of fastening parts (611) formed therein. The sector gear body (610) is fastened to the housing (300) by inserting a fastening bolt (612) through the fastening part (611), the armrest groove (12) formed on the inner circumference of the armrest (10), and the housing hole (320) formed in the housing (300).
[0057] The sector gear tooth (620) is formed as a longer area than the ratchet gear tooth (520), and the ratchet gear tooth (520) can move along the sector gear tooth (620) while engaged with the sector gear tooth (620).
[0058] Referring to FIG. 5, the initial locking state of the above-described armrest (10) means that the ratchet gear tooth (520) is engaged with one end of the sector gear tooth (620). Additionally, the state in which the above-described armrest (10) is locked at a preset angle means that the ratchet gear tooth (520) is engaged with the other end of the sector gear tooth (620).
[0059] The elastic member (700) comprises a coupling part (710) coupled to the bracket (400), a slot part (720) into which the ratchet fixing projection (530) is selectively inserted and supported, and a bending part (730) that connects the coupling part (710) and the slot part (720) and provides an elastic restoring force to move the coupling part (710) and the slot part (720) apart when they move closer to each other.
[0060] With this configuration, the elastic member (700) applies a rotational elastic force to the ratchet (500) so that the ratchet gear tooth (520) meshes with the sector gear tooth (620). Additionally, the elastic restoring force of the bending part (730) can prevent axial movement of the ratchet (500) between the pair of brackets (400).
[0061] The slot portion (720) comprises a first slot (721) and a second slot (722). The first slot (721) is configured to maintain the locking state of the armrest (10) when the ratchet fixing projection (530) is inserted. The second slot (722) is formed between the first slot (721) and the bending portion (730) and is configured to maintain the unlocked state of the armrest (10) when the ratchet fixing projection (530) is inserted. The first slot (721) and the second slot (722) are formed continuously so that the ratchet fixing projection (530) can move continuously along the first slot (721) and the second slot (722).
[0062] Referring to FIGS. 5 to 7, a multi-stage armrest structure (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention can release the locking state of the armrest (10) when the armrest (10) is rotated in a first direction.
[0063] When the armrest (10) is rotated in the first direction, the ratchet gear tooth (520) moves to the end of the sector gear tooth (620), and then the ratchet body (510) is caught on the first locking projection (630) and rotated, and the second slot (722) applies a load in the restoration direction of the bending part (730) to the ratchet fixing projection (530), causing the ratchet fixing projection (530) to detach from the first slot (721) and be inserted into the second slot (722).
[0064] More specifically, as illustrated in FIG. 5, when the armrest (10) is rotated in a first direction from an initial locking state of the armrest (10) so that the ratchet gear tooth (520) moves from one end of the sector gear tooth (620) to the other end, the armrest (10) can reach a locked state at a preset angle. At this time, the ratchet fixing projection (530) is maintained in a state inserted into the first slot (721). The first slot (721) can maintain the locked state of the armrest (10) by applying a restoring direction load to the ratchet fixing projection (530) with respect to the rotational direction of the ratchet body (510).
[0065] Referring to FIG. 6, when the armrest (10) is locked at a preset angle and the armrest (10) is rotated in a first direction, the ratchet body (510) is caught on the first locking projection (630) and rotated. In this case, the ratchet gear tooth (520) is disengaged from the sector gear tooth (620), and the locking state of the armrest (10) can be released.
[0066] At this time, the ratchet fixing projection (530) is disengaged from the first slot (721) and inserted into the second slot (722) as the ratchet body (510) is caught on the first catch (630) and rotated. The second slot (722) applies a load in the restoration direction of the bending part (730) to the ratchet fixing projection (530) when the ratchet body (510) is caught on the first catch (630) and the ratchet fixing projection (530) is disengaged from the first slot (721).
[0067] Referring to FIG. 7, the armrest (10) in an unlocked state can be placed in a side storage position of the seat back. At this time, a stopper can be formed on the inner side of the armrest (10) to limit the uppermost storage position of the armrest (10). The ratchet fixing projection (530) is maintained in a state inserted into the second slot (722), so that the ratchet body (510) is maintained in a state where it does not rotate.
[0068] Meanwhile, referring to FIG. 8, in a multi-stage armrest structure (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention, when the armrest (10) is rotated in a second direction, the ratchet body (510) is caught on the second catch (640) and rotated, and the first slot (721) applies a load in the restoration direction of the bending part (730) to the ratchet fixing projection (530), causing the ratchet fixing projection (530) to detach from the second slot (722) and be inserted into the first slot (721).
[0069] More specifically, when the armrest (10) in the unlocked state of FIG. 7 is rotated in a second direction to the extent that the ratchet body (510) engages with the second catch (640), the ratchet body (510) engages with the second catch (640) and rotates. At this time, the ratchet body (510) is rotated so as not to interfere with the first catch (630).
[0070] When the ratchet body (510) is rotated by being caught on the second catch (640), the ratchet fixing projection (530) inserted into the second slot (722) is disengaged from the second slot (722). The ratchet fixing projection (530) disengaged from the second slot (722) receives the restoration direction load of the bending part (730) from the first slot (721) and moves to the first slot (721).
[0071] At this time, the ratchet gear (520) is engaged with one end of the sector gear (620), and the armrest (10) is in an initial locking state.
[0072] In summary, the present invention provides a multi-stage armrest structure (100) that can reduce the number of parts through structural simplification and achieve lightweighting by controlling the locking state and unlocking state of the armrest (10) through one elastic member (700) including two slots.
[0073] Although the present invention has been described in detail through specific embodiments, this is for the purpose of specifically explaining the invention and is not limited thereto. It is evident that modifications or improvements to the present invention are possible by those skilled in the art within the technical scope of the invention.
