Background Technology

[0002] Ultrasonic waves refer to sound waves that are higher than the audible frequency range and are approximately 15,000 to 20,000 Hz or lower. They are widely used in fish detection, ultrasonic inspection or thickness measurement, surgical ultrasonic diagnosis, and industrial cleaning. Ultrasonic spot welding using such ultrasound is a welding process in which the workpiece is placed between a base plate and a welding tip, heated, and subjected to ultrasonic vibrations. This process involves the destruction and removal of the oxide film on the contact surface of the workpiece by the ultrasonic vibrations, allowing the clean metal surfaces to come into contact and close enough for interatomic attraction to occur, thereby completing the welding.

[0003] This type of ultrasonic welding machine is a welding method widely used in places where very precise and strong welding is required.

[0016] Hereinafter, an embodiment of a portable ultrasonic welding device according to the present invention will be described with reference to the attached drawings. In this process, the thickness of lines or the size of components shown in the drawings may be exaggerated for clarity and convenience of explanation. Furthermore, the terms described below are defined considering their functions in the present invention, and these may vary depending on the intention or convention of the user or operator. Therefore, the definitions of these terms should be based on the content throughout this specification.

[0017] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a portable ultrasonic welding device according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a front view of a portable ultrasonic welding device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0018] FIG. 3 is a side view of a portable ultrasonic welding device according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 4 is a bottom perspective view of a portable ultrasonic welding device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0019] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, a portable ultrasonic welding device (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a body (110), a first mounting member (120), a second mounting member (130), an ultrasonic oscillator (140), a welding tip (150), and a handle (160).

[0020] The body (110) forms the outer shape of the portable ultrasonic welding machine (100) according to the present invention and can be modified into various shapes. In addition, the body (110) is made of an insulating material.

[0021] And, the first mounting member (120) is provided in the body (110) and serves to mount the first wire harness (10) so that the first conductor (12) for welding the first wire harness (10) while it is covered is positioned at a set position.

[0022] In addition, the second mounting member (130) is provided in the body (110) to correspond to the first mounting member (120) and serves to mount the second wire harness (20) so that the second conductor (22), which is coated and fused with the second wire harness (20), is positioned close to the corresponding first conductor (12).

[0023] With the first wire harness (10) mounted on the first mounting member (120) and the second wire harness (20) mounted on the second mounting member (130), the first conductor (12) and the second conductor (22) are positioned close to each other.

[0024] In addition, the ultrasonic oscillation unit (140) is provided in the body (110), particularly on the inside of the body (110), and generates (oscillates) ultrasonic waves by external operation.

[0025] In other words, the ultrasonic oscillation unit (140) includes a vibrator (142) as a source for generating ultrasonic waves. Thus, the ultrasonic oscillation unit (140) operates on the principle that when an alternating current voltage is applied to both sides of the vibrator (142), expansion and contraction occur according to the polarity of the current to generate ultrasonic waves, and is a device that converts an electrical signal of AC 200~240V provided from the outside into an electrical signal of 20kHz or higher.

[0026] And, the welding tip (150) is provided in the body (110) and simultaneously contacts the corresponding first conductor (12) and second conductor (22), and plays the role of welding by generating frictional heat on the first conductor (12) and second conductor (22) through mechanical vibration converted from an electric frequency from the ultrasonic oscillator (140).

[0027] At this time, the vibrator (142) converts the electric frequency of the electric signal provided from the ultrasonic oscillation unit (140) into mechanical vibration, and in the present invention, a piezoelectric type, which is the most efficient type of vibrator (142), can be applied.

[0028] And, when the mechanical vibration converted by the vibrator (142) is amplified, the fusion tip (150) locally melts the overlapping connection portion of the first conductor (12) and the second conductor (22) to be fused using the amplified mechanical vibration, so that the first conductor (12) and the second conductor (22) to be fused are joined together.

[0029] At this time, the fusion tip (150) includes a heating part (152) or connects the heating part (152).

[0030] The heating unit (152) is for converting the electric frequency of the ultrasound provided from the ultrasonic oscillation unit (140) into thermal energy.

[0031] Due to the heating part (152), the mutual bonding portion of the first conductor (12) and the second conductor (22) that the welding tip (150) contacts is melted, thereby increasing the welding efficiency.

[0032] In addition, a handle (160) is provided on the body (110) to provide convenience of use. At this time, the handle (160) can be transformed into various shapes.

[0033] Meanwhile, the first mounting member (120) may include a first leg (122), a first alignment groove (124), and a first pad (126).

[0034] The first leg (122) is formed to extend downward from one side of the body (110), particularly from the lower edge. At this time, the first leg (122) can be integrally or detachably coupled to the body (110) and can be formed in various shapes.

[0035] And, the first alignment groove (124) is formed in the first leg (122) to receive and align the alignment position of the first wire harness (10) in the first leg (122).

[0036] For example, the first alignment groove (124) is formed by being recessed on the side of the first leg (122) to guide the entry of the circumferential surface of the first wire harness (10). At this time, the first alignment groove (124) can be formed in various ways to align and fix the entered first wire harness (10).

[0037] In addition, the first pad (126) extends from the first leg (122) and serves to support the first conductor (12) located on the side of the first wire harness (10) and the fusion tip (150). This is to increase fusion efficiency by preventing the first conductor (12) from bending when the fusion tip (150) pressurizes and fuses the first conductor (12).

[0038] Likewise, the second mounting member (130) may include a second lag, a second alignment groove (134), and a second pad (136).

[0039] The second leg (132) is formed to extend downward from the other side of the body (110), particularly from the lower edge. At this time, the second leg (132) can be integrally or detachably coupled to the body (110) and can be formed in various shapes.

[0040] And, the second alignment groove (134) is formed in the second leg (132) to accommodate and align the alignment position of the second wire harness (20) in the second leg (132).

[0041] For example, the second alignment groove (134) is formed by being recessed on the side of the second leg (132) to guide the entry of the circumferential surface of the second wire harness (20). At this time, the second alignment groove (134) can be formed in various ways to align and fix the entered second wire harness (20).

[0042] In addition, the second pad (136) extends from the second leg (132) and serves to support the second conductor (22) located on the side of the second wire harness (20) and the fusion tip (150). This is to increase the fusion efficiency by preventing the second conductor (22) from bending when the fusion tip (150) pressurizes and fuses the second conductor (22).

[0043] In particular, the first pad (126) and the second pad (136) may be connected or formed as a single unit.

[0044] Of course, the first pad (126) and the second pad (136) can be transformed into various shapes.

[0045] Accordingly, the portable ultrasonic welding device (100) according to the present invention is relatively small and portable, and can weld the circuit disconnection of the first conductor (12) of the first wire harness (10) and the second conductor (22) of the second wire harness (20), thereby preventing the reduction in workability and the failure to ensure the reliability of the product's welding due to working with conventional hand tools or soldering work in a confined space.

[0046] Although the present invention has been described with reference to the embodiments illustrated in the drawings, this is merely illustrative, and those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications and equivalent alternative embodiments are possible therefrom. Accordingly, the true technical scope of protection of the present invention should be determined by the claims below. Explanation of the symbols
