Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a cosmetic container, and more particularly to a cosmetic container having a separable applicator. Background Technology

[0002] Generally, high-viscosity cosmetics, such as creams or masks, are commonly used in containers with wide openings. Since users must insert their fingers directly into these containers to take out the contents, there was an unsanitary problem where contaminants from the hands mixed into the cosmetics, causing the product to spoil.

[0003] To address these hygiene issues, a method was proposed to provide a spatula or spoon-shaped applicator separately as a tool for dispensing cosmetics. However, this method had a high risk of loss because the applicator had to be stored separately, and there was still a problem of exposure to external contamination during storage because there was no suitable hygienic space to place the applicator after use.

[0004] To address the aforementioned problems, numerous prior art technologies have been disclosed that incorporate a structure capable of storing an applicator within the container itself. For example, there was a method in which a separate intermediate cover was placed between the container body and the cap, and the applicator was placed on top of it.

[0005] However, these conventional technologies had disadvantages, such as increased container manufacturing costs due to structural complexity during the applicator storage process, and reduced portability and design competitiveness as the overall volume increased. Furthermore, they had limitations in completely resolving fundamental hygiene issues, as cosmetic residue contaminating the storage compartment when a used applicator was returned to it caused a vicious cycle in which this contaminates the cosmetic product during subsequent use. [0024] FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a cosmetic container (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 are a longitudinal cross-sectional view and an exploded cross-sectional view of the cosmetic container (100) illustrated in FIG. 1. FIG. 4 is a perspective view illustrating a state in which an applicator (180) protrudes into an inner cap (124), and FIG. 5 is a perspective view illustrating a state in which an applicator (180) protrudes into an outer cap (110).

[0025] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 5, a cosmetic container (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a cap (110, 124) having an insertion hole (114) and a cap receiving space (128) communicating with the insertion hole (114), a body (140, 150) having a body receiving space (160) that is detachably coupled to the cap (110, 124) and communicating with the cap receiving space (128), and an applicator (180) inserted into the cap receiving space (128) and the body receiving space (160) through the insertion hole (114). The body (140, 150) has a contents receiving space (170) formed around the body receiving space (160), and the open opening of the contents receiving space (170) is closed by the cap (110, 124).

[0026] The cap (110, 124) of the cosmetic container (100) according to the present embodiment forms the outer body of the cosmetic container (100) together with the body (140, 150) and is detachably coupled to the upper part of the cap (140, 150) by screw coupling. The cap (110, 124) may be divided into an outer cap (110) and an inner cap (124), and these (110, 124) may each be formed separately and then combined into one or formed integrally.

[0027] Although the outer cap (110) and inner cap (124) of the cosmetic container (110) according to the present embodiment are exemplified as having a circular cross-section, the present invention is not limited by the shape of the outer cap (110) and inner cap (124) and can have various cross-sectional shapes such as elliptical or polygonal.

[0028] The outer cap (110) is attached to the circumference of the inner cap (124) and exposed to the outside. The outer cap (110) includes a cap top surface (112) and a cap circumference surface (118) and has an open bottom structure. Of course, when the outer cap (110) and the inner cap (124) are formed integrally, the bottom of the cap may have a closed structure by a ring-shaped projection (136).

[0029] An insertion hole (114) may be formed in the center of the upper surface of the cap (112). The insertion hole (114) communicates with the cap receiving space (128) formed in the inner cap (124), thereby allowing the applicator (180) to enter the interior of the cap receiving space (128) through the insertion hole (114). Additionally, a cap catch step (116) is formed on the inner circumference of the insertion hole (114), which engages with the head projection (184) formed on the applicator (180).

[0030] The cap circumference surface (118) has a certain length, and a cap inclined surface (120) is formed on the outer surface of the lower part thereof. Also, a cap screw thread (122) is formed on the inner surface of the cap circumference surface (118), and this is screw-coupled with the body screw thread (164). In this way, the cap screw thread (122) of the outer cap (110) and the body screw thread (164) of the inner body (150) are screw-coupled to each other, so that the cap is detachably coupled to the body.

[0031] The inner cap (124) is located inside the outer cap (110) and is provided with an inner cap surface (126), an outer cap surface (132), and a ring-shaped projection (136). The inner cap (124) may be formed integrally with the outer cap (110) or may be formed separately and then combined.

[0032] The inner surface of the cap (126) corresponds to the circumferential surface of the cap receiving space (128), and as a result, the cap receiving space (128) has a hollow cylindrical shape. The upper part of the cap receiving space (128) corresponds to the insertion hole (114) and has an open structure. An outwardly extended first step (130) is formed at the lower part of the inner surface of the cap (126), and the diameter of the cap receiving space (128) is expanded by the first step (130), so that the upper part of the inner surface of the body (152) can be inserted therein.

[0033] The outer surface of the cap (132) may come into contact with the inner surface of the outer cap (110) and may have the same height as the inner surface of the cap (126). A second step (134) is formed at the lower part of the outer surface of the cap (132), and the second step (134) may come into contact with the upper part (not shown in the drawing) of the inner body (150).

[0034] The lower portions of the inner cap surface (126) and the outer cap surface (132) of the inner cap (124) are interconnected by a ring-shaped projection (136). The lower surface of the ring-shaped projection (136) is formed flat and inserted into the contents receiving space (170). The ring-shaped projection (136) extends from the first step (130) and the second step (134) on its bottom surface to have a certain height. A ring-shaped projection (136) having such a shape is inserted into the contents receiving space (170) to a certain depth so that the contents do not leak out.

[0035] The body includes an outer body (140) and an inner body (150), which may each be formed separately or as one.

[0036] The outer body (140) has a hollow cylindrical shape with an open top and a closed bottom, and an inner body (150) is inserted therein. The outer body (140) is provided with a body circumference surface (142) that forms the outer body of the cosmetic container (100), and a body slope surface (144) may be formed at the upper end thereof. The body slope surface (144), together with the cap slope surface (120), serves to reduce the diameter of the central part of the cosmetic container (100). As a result, the user can easily identify the boundary between the cap and the body.

[0037] The inner body (150) includes an inner body surface (152) that forms a body receiving space (160) and an outer body surface (162) that forms a contents receiving space (170) together with the inner body surface (152).

[0038] The inner surface of the body (152) has a hollow cylindrical shape, with its upper surface open and its lower surface (158) closed. The lower end of the inner surface of the body (152) can come into contact with the outer body (140). Due to the inner surface of the body (152), the body receiving space (160) has a hollow cylindrical shape with its upper end open and its lower end closed. The body receiving space (160) is connected to the cap receiving space (128) located at the top.

[0039] The length of the space capable of accommodating the applicator (180) is expanded by the body receiving space (160) and the cap receiving space (128). As a result, the length of the applicator (180) of the cosmetic container (100) according to the present embodiment can be expanded. Furthermore, by expanding the length of the applicator (180), the depth of the content receiving space (170) can be expanded, thereby increasing the amount of content to be inserted.

[0040] An inner inclined surface (154) is formed on the upper inner surface of the inner body surface (152). Due to the inner inclined surface (154), the applicator (180) passing through the cap receiving space (128) can easily enter the interior of the body receiving space (160). Additionally, a body catch step (156) is formed on the inner surface of the inner body (150), where the applicator (180) catches.

[0041] The outer surface of the body (162) corresponds to a surface formed around the inner surface of the body (152) having the same center. A content receiving space (170) into which contents are injected is formed by the outer surface of the body (162). The upper part of the content receiving space (170) is open and the lower part is closed. As can be seen in FIG. 2, the height of the content receiving space (170) may be formed to be smaller than the height of the body receiving space (160). The lower part of the content receiving space (170) may have a cross-section in the shape of an arc. As a result, the contents are concentrated in the bottom center of the content receiving space (170), and the user can efficiently use the remaining amount of contents using an applicator (180).

[0042] The depth of the content receiving space (170) can be formed to be smaller than that of the applicator (180), so that the user can easily use up the remaining amount of the content.

[0043] A body screw thread (164) is formed on the upper part of the body outer surface (162). The body screw thread (164) is screw-coupled with the cap screw thread (122) formed on the inner cap (124). Additionally, a locking projection (166) is formed protruding from the lower part of the body screw thread (164) on the body outer surface (162). The locking projection (166) engages with the upper part of the outer body (140), thereby determining the height of the inner body (150) relative to the outer body (140).

[0044] The applicator (180) consists of a handle (182) and a tip (186). The handle (182) and the tip (186) may be formed separately and combined, or formed integrally. The user can use the applicator (180) to apply the contents to the tip (186) portion.

[0045] The handle (182) has a certain length, and a head projection (184) is formed on its upper part. The head projection (184) engages with a cap catch step (116) formed in the insertion hole (114).

[0046] The tip (186) corresponds to the part that comes into contact with the contents, and the cosmetic container (100) according to the present embodiment is exemplified by having an inclined surface (188) formed on the tip (186). Due to the inclined surface (188), the user can use a small amount of contents more precisely.

[0047] A cosmetic container (100) according to another embodiment of the present invention may use tips having various shapes.

[0048] The tip (186) can be spaced apart at a certain distance from the lower surface of the body receiving space (160) without contacting it. As a result, the contents remaining on the lower surface of the body receiving space (160) do not come into contact with the tip (186), so the tip (186) can be used more hygienically.

[0049] Since the applicator (180) is separated from the outer cap (110) and the inner cap (124), it can be used conveniently. Also, referring to FIG. 4, when the cap consisting of the outer cap (110) and the inner cap (124) is opened, the applicator (180) protrudes from the inner body (150), so the user can easily grip and use the applicator (180). In addition, since the applicator (180) is formed to be longer than the depth of the contents receiving space (160), the contents of the contents receiving space (160) can be easily used.

[0050] In the cosmetic container (100) according to the present embodiment, an applicator (180) can be inserted into the cap receiving space (128) and the body receiving space (160) regardless of whether the outer cap (110) and the inner cap (124) are combined. That is, the user can close the cap consisting of the outer cap (110) and the inner cap (124) while the applicator (180) is first inserted into the body receiving space (160). Then, the user can insert the applicator (180) into the cap receiving space (128) and the body receiving space (160) through the insertion hole (114) after combining the cap consisting of the outer cap (110) and the inner cap (124) with the body (140, 150).

[0051] As such, the cosmetic container (100) according to the present embodiment allows the applicator (180) to be stored inside the cosmetic container (100) regardless of whether the cap is attached or not, thereby enabling convenient use.

[0052] Although the present invention has been described above with reference to one embodiment, those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications and changes can be made to the invention without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as described in the following claims.
