Effects of the invention

[0015] As described above, according to the present invention, since quantitative injection of standard solution and sample is possible through the length of the flow path and air injection, a sample of the same volume as the standard solution can be injected into the detection module regardless of the distance between the tank where the sample is stored and the automatic measuring device, thereby increasing the accuracy and precision of the analysis.

[0016] In addition, the supply volume of the standard solution, sample, and diluent can be determined by the length of the flow path connected between the two valves into which air is injected. Therefore, the supply volume of the standard solution, sample, and diluent can be easily changed by changing the length of the aforementioned flow path.

[0017] In addition, since it is possible to inject a quantitative amount of sample and diluent even with changes in the pump's flow rate, high accuracy and precision can be maintained for a long period without frequent calibration.

[0018] In addition, an interference filter with a narrow full width at half maximum in the detection module can minimize the reduction of the detection concentration range caused by ambient light or multicolored wavelengths entering the detector.

[0019] In addition, multiple interference filters with different wavelengths can be automatically controlled, enabling the analysis of multiple substances of interest.

[0020] In addition, through the automatic injection of a quantitative sample with high precision and a diluent, an accurate calibration curve can be automatically obtained using only one high-concentration standard solution. Therefore, self-verification and calibration of the analytical performance of the automatic measuring device are possible through periodic automatic analysis of the standard solution.

[0021] In addition, the amount of cleaning liquid used and the amount of waste liquid discharged can be minimized by separating the functions of each pump—such as the first pump injecting liquid into the detection module, the second pump discharging waste liquid, and mixing liquid by air injection—and improving cleaning efficiency through the unidirectional transfer of liquid.

[0022] In addition, the measurement cycle can be shortened as the first flow path can be cleaned through the first pump during liquid mixing and signal detection in the detection module. Brief explanation of the drawing

[0027] Hereinafter, an automatic measuring device having an automatic quantitative function for a liquid sample according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described.

[0028] FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram illustrating an automatic measuring device having an automatic quantitative function for a liquid sample according to a first embodiment of the present invention.

[0029] Referring to FIG. 1, an automatic measuring device (101) having an automatic quantitative function for a liquid sample according to the present embodiment may include a main manifold (110), a first pump (121), a second pump (123), a sample flow path (145), a detection module (130), a first flow path (141), a second flow path (142), a first discharge flow path (146), and a second discharge flow path (147), a first air valve (151), a second air valve (152), a first discharge control valve (153), a second discharge control valve (155), and a heater (165).

[0030] The main manifold (110) controls the flow of fluids such as reagents, diluents, and air. The main manifold (110) is equipped with multiple inlets for the introduction of reagents, and a solenoid valve (114) for controlling the flow of fluid may be installed at each inlet. The main manifold (110) has an internal passage (112) that extends in a straight line, and multiple inlets are connected to the internal passage (112).

[0031] In the main manifold (110), a conveying air inlet (176) for air to be introduced, a quantitative air inlet (178), a diluent inlet (116) for diluent to be introduced, a reagent inlet (117) for various reagents to be introduced, and a standard solution inlet (118) for standard solution to be introduced may be formed. Additionally, a sample flow path (145) for supplying a sample may be connected to the main manifold (110).

[0032] However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and the quantitative air inlet (178) and the sample flow path (145) may be positioned outside the main manifold (110) and connected to the first flow path (141).

[0033] Here, the standard solution is a solution in which the concentration of the substance to be detected (hereinafter referred to as the substance of interest) is accurately known, and is used to obtain a calibration curve that represents the correlation between the detection signal intensity (absorbance) and the concentration of the substance of interest. By substituting the absorbance of the sample into the aforementioned calibration curve, the concentration of the substance of interest can be quantitatively analyzed.

[0034] A transfer control valve (156) may be connected to the transfer air inlet (176), and a metering control unit (157) may be connected to the metering air inlet (178). The transfer control valve (156) controls the air flowing in through the transfer air inlet (176), and the metering control unit (157) controls the air flowing in through the metering air inlet (178).

[0035] A solenoid valve (114) is installed at the dilution solution inlet (116), the reagent inlet (117), and the standard solution inlet (118), and the amount of reagent flowing in can be controlled by the opening time of the solenoid valve (114). The opening time of the solenoid valve (114) can be adjusted to be short, such as 0.001 seconds, and accordingly, the amount of reagent flowing in can be controlled significantly more precisely than in the past. In addition, the flow rate of the liquid can be controlled by a pump.

[0036] Air can be introduced through the transfer air inlet (176) or the metering air inlet (178) by the first pump (121), and negative pressure can be formed by the first pump (121), through which air can be sucked into the main manifold (110). The introduced air can push the liquid to the detection module (130). Accordingly, the supply amount of liquid can be controlled by the air.

[0037] When the part connected to the first flow path (141) is referred to as the front, the transfer air inlet (176) may be located at the rearmost (upstream side) of the main manifold (110), and the metering air inlet (178) may be located at the frontmost (downstream side). Additionally, a diluent inlet (116), a reagent inlet (117), a standard solution inlet (118), and a sample flow path (145) may be connected between the transfer air inlet (176) and the metering air inlet (178). Accordingly, after the liquid is supplied, air can be supplied to the transfer air inlet (176) to push out all the liquid remaining in the internal passage (112) and the first flow path (141).

[0038] The first flow path (141) may include a metering flow path (149) disposed between the metering control unit (157) and the first air valve (151). The metering flow path (149) is a flow path connecting the metering control unit (157) and the first air valve (151), and the amount of liquid supplied can be controlled by the length of the metering flow path (149).

[0039] The first flow path (141) is composed of a tube connecting the main manifold (110) and the detection module (130) and delivers reagents and samples to the detection container (131). The first flow path (141) is connected to the upper part of the detection container (131) to supply samples and reagents to the detection container (131).

[0040] The second Euro (142) connects the detection module (130) and the second discharge control valve (155), and can discharge waste liquid from the detection container (131) or supply air to the bottom of the detection container (131).

[0041] The first pump (121) is connected to the first flow path (141) and can move fluid in both directions. The first pump (121) may be a peristaltic pump, thereby preventing the inside of the first pump (121) from being contaminated by the sample and reagent and allowing for precise control of the amount of sample and reagent to be injected.

[0042] The sample channel (145) is connected to the main manifold (110) and can supply a sample to the first channel (141) through the main manifold (110). The sample channel (145) can be connected to a tank (200) in which a sample is stored to supply the sample. A sample valve (158) for controlling the supply of the sample may be installed between the sample channel (145) and the main manifold (110).

[0043] A first air valve (151) and a second air valve (152) are installed in the first Euro (141), and the first air valve (151) and the second air valve (152) are located between the main manifold (110) and the first pump (121). Additionally, the first air valve (151) and the second air valve (152) may be spaced apart so that liquid can be stored.

[0044] A liquid detection sensor (161, 162) for detecting liquid is placed in the first Euro (141), and the liquid detection sensor (161, 162) can be placed downstream of the first air valve (151) and downstream of the second air valve (152), respectively.

[0045] The first air valve (151) and the second air valve (152) control the volume of the diluent, and the first air supply pipe (171) is connected to the first air valve (151), and the second air supply pipe (172) can be connected to the second air valve (152).

[0046] The volume of the sample can be controlled by the first air valve (151) and the quantitative control unit (157). Specifically, the sample valve (158) installed in the sample flow path (145) can be opened, and the sample can be supplied to the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141) using the first pump (121).

[0047] When the sample is filled in the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141), the first air valve (151) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge the sample located downstream of the first air valve (151). Subsequently, the quantitative control unit (157) is opened, and the first air valve (151) and the first discharge control valve (153) are closed so that the sample located between the quantitative control unit (157) and the first air valve (151) can be supplied to the detection module (130). Additionally, the transfer control valve (156) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge all the sample located between the sample valve (158) and the quantitative control unit (157). The volume of the sample supplied to the detection module (130) can be determined according to the length of the quantitative flow path (149).

[0048] In addition, the volume of the standard solution can also be controlled to be the same as the sample. Specifically, the solenoid valve (114) installed at the standard solution inlet (118) can be opened, and the standard solution can be supplied to the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141) using the first pump (121).

[0049] When the standard solution is filled in the metering path (149) and the first path (141), the first air valve (151) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge the standard solution located downstream of the first air valve (151). Afterwards, the metering control unit (157) is opened and the first air valve (151) and the first discharge control valve (153) are closed so that the standard solution located between the metering control unit (157) and the first air valve (151) can be supplied to the detection module (130). Additionally, the transfer control valve (156) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened so that all the standard solution located between the solenoid valve (114) installed at the standard solution inlet (118) and the metering control unit (157) can be discharged. The volume of the standard solution supplied to the detection module (130) can be determined according to the length of the quantitative flow path (149).

[0050] The first air valve (151) and the second air valve (152) can control the supply amount of the diluent with high precision, and accordingly, the accuracy and precision of the analysis can be improved. Specifically, the solenoid valve (114) installed at the diluent inlet (116) can be opened and the diluent can be supplied to the first flow path (141) using the first pump (121). When the diluent fills the first flow path (141), the second air valve (152) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge the diluent located downstream of the second air valve (152). Afterwards, the first air valve (151) is opened and the second air valve (152) and the first discharge control valve (153) are closed to supply the diluent located between the first air valve (151) and the second air valve (152) to the detection module (130). In addition, the transfer control valve (156) and the first discharge control valve (153) can be opened to discharge all the diluted liquid located between the solenoid valve (114) installed at the diluted liquid inlet (116) and the first air valve (151).

[0051] However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and the second air valve (152) may be omitted, and the supply amount of the diluent may be controlled by the first pump (121). By controlling the operating time of the first pump (121), the volume of the diluent supplied to the detection module (130) can be controlled.

[0052] <Preparation of Multiple Standard Solutions for Calibration Curve Construction Using High-Concentration Standard Solution and Diluent>

[0053] As described above, the volume of liquid supplied to the detection module (130) can be determined by the length of the flow path. By utilizing this characteristic, standard solutions of various concentrations can be prepared by mixing a standard solution containing a high concentration of the substance of interest with a diluent.

[0054] To prepare a calibration curve, standard solutions having concentrations of 0, 10, 90, and 100 ppm are prepared using a standard solution containing 100 ppm of the substance of interest and a diluent. To do this, the length of the first flow path (141) between the first air valve (151) and the second air valve (152) is configured to be nine times the length of the quantitative flow path (149). Here, it is assumed that the inner diameters of the first flow path (141) and the quantitative flow path (149) are the same.

[0055] In the following description, the standard solution supplied to the quantitative path (149) and the first path (141) through the standard solution inlet (118) is defined as a standard solution containing 100 ppm of the substance of interest, and the diluent supplied through the diluent inlet (116) is considered to be a 0 ppm standard solution that does not contain the substance of interest.

[0056] Preparation of <0 ppm Standard Solution>

[0057] The solenoid valve (114) installed at the dilution inlet (116) can be opened, and the dilution can be supplied to the metering path (149) and the first path (141) using the first pump (121). When the standard solution is filled in the metering path (149) and the first path (141), the second air valve (152) and the first discharge control valve (153) can be opened to discharge the dilution located downstream of the second air valve (152), and the metering control unit (157) can be opened to supply the dilution to the detection module (130), and the transfer control valve (156) and the first discharge control valve (153) can be opened to discharge all the dilution between the solenoid valve (114) installed at the dilution inlet (116) and the metering control unit (157).

[0058] <Preparation of 10 ppm standard solution>

[0059] 1. The standard solution is measured through the quantitative flow path (149).

[0060] The solenoid valve (114) installed at the standard solution inlet (118) can be opened, and the standard solution can be supplied to the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141) using the first pump (121).

[0061] When the standard solution is filled in the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141), the first air valve (151) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge the standard solution located downstream of the first air valve (151), the quantitative control unit (157) is opened to supply the standard solution to the detection module (130), and the transfer control valve (156) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge all the standard solution located between the solenoid valve (114) installed in the standard solution inlet (118) and the quantitative control unit (157).

[0062] 2. The diluted solution is measured through the first flow path (141) between the first air valve and the second air valve.

[0063] The solenoid valve (114) installed at the dilution inlet (116) can be opened, and the standard solution can be supplied to the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141) using the first pump (121).

[0064] When the standard solution is filled in the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141), the second air valve (152) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge the diluted solution located downstream of the second air valve (152), the first air valve (151) is opened to supply the diluted solution to the detection module (130), and the transfer control valve (156) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge all the diluted solution between the solenoid valve (114) installed at the diluted solution inlet (116) and the first air valve (151).

[0065] <Preparation of 90 ppm standard solution>

[0066] 1. A standard solution is measured through the first flow path (141) between the first air valve and the second air valve.

[0067] The solenoid valve (114) installed at the standard solution inlet (118) can be opened, and the standard solution can be supplied to the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141) using the first pump (121).

[0068] When the standard solution is filled in the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141), the second air valve (152) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge the standard solution located downstream of the second air valve (152), the first air valve (151) is opened to supply the standard solution to the detection module (130), and the transfer control valve (156) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge all the standard solution between the solenoid valve (114) installed in the standard solution inlet (118) and the first air valve (151).

[0069] 2. Measure the diluted solution into the quantitative flow path (149).

[0070] The solenoid valve (114) installed at the dilution inlet (116) can be opened, and the standard solution can be supplied to the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141) using the first pump (121).

[0071] When the standard solution is filled in the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141), the first air valve (151) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge the diluted solution located downstream of the first air valve (151), the quantitative control unit (157) is opened to supply the diluted solution to the detection module (130), and the transfer control valve (156) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge all the diluted solution between the solenoid valve (114) installed in the diluted solution inlet (116) and the quantitative control unit (157).

[0072] <Preparation of 100 ppm standard solution>

[0073] The solenoid valve (114) installed at the standard solution inlet (118) can be opened, and the standard solution can be supplied to the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141) using the first pump (121).

[0074] When the standard solution is filled in the quantitative flow path (149) and the first flow path (141), the second air valve (152) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge the standard solution located downstream of the second air valve (152), and the quantitative control unit (157) is opened to supply the standard solution to the detection module (130), and the transfer control valve (156) and the first discharge control valve (153) are opened to discharge all the diluted solution between the solenoid valve (114) installed in the standard solution inlet (118) and the quantitative control unit (157).

[0075] A calibration curve can be derived by supplying standard solutions of 0 ppm, 10 ppm, 90 ppm, and 100 ppm to the detection container (131) in sequence and measuring them.

[0076] A first discharge path (146) is connected to the first path (141) via a first discharge control valve (153). The first discharge path (146) is connected to the first path (141) between the first pump (121) and the heater (165) and discharges excess sample and excess diluted liquid. The first discharge control valve (153) controls the connection between the first discharge path (146) and the first path (141) and may be a three-way valve.

[0077] Here, the excess sample includes the sample analyzed immediately prior that remains in the sample flow path (145) during the process of analyzing the next sample. By discharging it through the first discharge flow path (146), the analysis error caused by interference from the sample analyzed immediately prior can be minimized.

The holder (210) may include a slide (215) that is coupled to the linear guide (250) and moves along the linear guide (250), and a frame (216) coupled to the slide (215).

[0086] The filter transfer unit (230) is combined with the holder (210) to move the holder (210) and may be composed of a pneumatic actuator, etc. The filter transfer unit (230) controls the selection of one interference filter (220) among a plurality of interference filters (220) with different wavelengths of transmitted light for the analysis of a plurality of substances of interest.

The light source (132) may be an LED, a light bulb, etc. The detector (133) may be an image detector or a photodiode, etc. The detector (133) is spaced apart from the light source (132) with the detection container (131) in between.

[0089] A second flow path (142) may be connected to the detection container (131) to discharge waste liquid containing used samples and reagents or to supply air to the detection container (131). A second pump (123) is installed in the second flow path (142), and the second pump (123) may discharge liquid from the detection container (131) or supply air to the detection container (131). The second pump (123) may be composed of various pumps that transport fluid in both directions.

[0090] Additionally, a lower valve (154) is installed in the second flow path (142), and the lower valve (154) may be located between the second pump (123) and the detection container (131). [0091] When the second discharge control valve (155) is connected to the third air supply pipe (173) and the second flow path (142), and the second pump (123) is operated to suck air, air can be supplied to the bottom of the detection container (131) through the third air supply pipe (173). At this time, the air supplied to the bottom of the detection container (131) can mix with a liquid (sample, standard solution, diluent, reagent).

[0092] Meanwhile, when the second discharge control valve (155) is connected to the second discharge path (142) and the second discharge path (147), and the second pump (123) is operated to discharge, the waste liquid used for detection can be discharged through the second discharge path (147).

[0093] As described above, according to the present embodiment, the volume of the liquid can be accurately controlled so that the sample and diluent can be supplied to the detection container (131), thereby improving the accuracy and precision of the analysis. In addition, a heater is installed in the first flow path (141) to maintain a constant reaction temperature, thereby minimizing analysis errors caused by ambient temperature changes.

[0094] Below, an automatic analysis method according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described.

[0096] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 6, the automatic analysis method according to the present embodiment may include a sample or standard solution injection step (S101), a diluent injection step (S102), a reagent injection step (S103), a mixing step (S104), a detection step (S105), a waste liquid discharge step (S106), and a washing step (S107).

[0097] The sample or standard solution injection step (S101) injects a sample or standard solution into a detection container (131) through a sample channel (145) and a first channel (141).

[0098] The sample or standard solution injection step (S101) may include a sample filling step in which a sample valve (158) is opened and a sample is filled into the quantitative path (149) and the first path (141) using a first pump (121), or a standard solution filling step in which a solenoid valve (114) installed at the standard solution inlet (118) is opened and a standard solution is supplied into the quantitative path (149) and the first path (141) using a first pump (121).

[0099] In the sample or standard solution injection step (S101), if the standard solution is injected into the detection container (131), a calibration curve is derived using the standard solution, and if the sample is injected into the detection container (131), the concentration of the substance of interest can be quantitatively analyzed using the calibration curve.

Additionally, the diluent injection step (S102) may control the volume of the diluent supplied to the detection module (130) by controlling the operating time of the first pump (121).

[0103] The reagent injection step (S103) supplies a reagent to the detection container (131) using the main manifold (110). Here, the reagent may consist of a reducing agent, an oxidizing agent, a colorimetric agent, an acidic solution, a basic solution, etc. The reagent injection step (S103) may include a step of supplying a quantitative reagent by controlling the opening time of a solenoid valve (114) that controls the movement of the reagent, and a reagent transfer step of moving the reagent to the detection container (131) by opening a transfer control valve (156) and injecting air into the first flow path (141).

[0104] The mixing step (S104) mixes the sample or standard solution and the reagent by injecting air into the detection container (131). The mixing step (S104) mixes the sample, standard solution, diluent, or reagent by connecting the third air supply pipe (173) and the second flow path (142) using the second discharge control valve (155) and supplying air to the detection container (131) through the third air supply pipe (173) and the second flow path (142).

[0105] The detection step (S105) detects a substance of interest contained in a sample or standard solution using a light source (132) and a detector (133). The detection step (S105) can detect a substance of interest contained in a sample by irradiating light onto a detection container (131) in which a liquid is stored and measuring the intensity of the light. The liquid stored in the detection container (131) may contain a sample and a reagent, and the reagent may consist of a color-developing solution.

[0106] Additionally, the detection step (S105) can control the interference filter (220) by moving it so that one of the multiple interference filters (220) is positioned between the light source (132) and the detector (133).

[0108] The washing step (S107) washes the detection container (131). The washing step (S107) supplies a diluent to the detection container (131), supplies air to the detection container (131) where the diluent is stored to form bubbles to wash the detection container (131), and can discharge the diluent used for washing through the second flow path (142) and the second discharge flow path (147).

[0109] The method may include the steps of opening a solenoid valve (114) to supply a diluent to the first path (141), opening a transfer control valve (156) to inject air into the first path (141) to move the diluent to the detection container (131), connecting the third air supply pipe (173) and the second path (142) using the second discharge control valve (155) to supply air to the detection container (131) through the second path (142) to form bubbles and clean the detection container (131), and connecting the second path (142) to the second discharge path (147) using the second discharge control valve (155) to discharge the diluent used for cleaning from the detection container (131) to the second discharge path (147).

[0110] Additionally, the washing step (S107) may further include the step of opening the solenoid valve (114) to supply the diluent to the first flow path (141) and opening the transfer control valve (156) to inject air into the first flow path (141) to move the diluent to the detection container (131) and fill the inside of the detection container (131) with the diluent.

[0111] Additionally, the cleaning step (S107) can control the interference filter (220) by moving it so that one of the interference filters (220) is positioned between the light source (132) and the detector (133).

[0112] The standard solution injection step (S101) to the washing step (S107) are repeated so that a calibration curve using the standard solution can be derived and the concentration of the substance of interest can be quantitatively analyzed from the detection signal of the sample.

The metering control unit (181) may be connected to the metering air inlet (186), and the intermediate control valve (182) may be connected to the third air inlet (187).

[0136] The first air valve (151) is located downstream of the quantitative control unit (181). The quantitative control unit (181) and the first air valve (151) are spaced apart, and the quantitative control unit (181) and the first air valve (151) may be spaced apart by the volume of the sample injected into the detection container (131), and a quantitative flow path (149) is located between the quantitative control unit (181) and the first air valve (151). Only the sample located at the quantitative control unit (181) and the first air valve (151) is supplied to the detection container (131).

[0137] The quantitative manifold (180) includes a quantitative manifold body (185) in which a passage for the movement of a sample and air is formed, a quantitative control unit (181) coupled to the quantitative manifold body (185), and an intermediate control valve (182).

[0140] The second air supply passage (185c) and the second air delivery passage (185d) are connected via an intermediate control valve (182), and the intermediate control valve (182) can connect or block the second air supply passage (185c) and the second air delivery passage (185d) according to an input signal.

[0141] The intermediate passage (184) is connected to the sample passage (183) between the first air transfer passage (185b) and the second air transfer passage (185d), and when air is supplied from the second air transfer passage (185d) by the intermediate control valve (182), the fluid introduced through the intermediate passage (184) can move.

[0142] The volume of the sample can be controlled by the first air valve (151) and the quantitative control unit (181). Specifically, the sample valve (158) installed in the sample path (145) can be opened, and the sample can be supplied to the quantitative path (149) and the first path (141) using the first pump (121).
