[0029] Suitable embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings. Furthermore, in this specification and drawings, components having substantially the same functional configuration are given the same reference numerals to avoid redundant descriptions.
[0030] <1. Example of Suction Device Configuration>
[0031] A suction device is a device that generates a substance inhaled by a user. Hereinafter, the description assumes that the substance generated by the suction device is an aerosol. Alternatively, the substance generated by the suction device may be a gas.
[0032] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing an example of the configuration of a suction device. As shown in FIG. 1, the suction device (100) according to the present configuration example includes a power supply unit (111), a sensor unit (112), a notification unit (113), a memory unit (114), a communication unit (115), a control unit (116), a heating unit (40), a chamber (50), and an insulation unit (70).
[0033] The power supply unit (111) accumulates power. Then, the power supply unit (111) supplies power to each component of the suction device (100) based on control by the control unit (116). The power supply unit (111) may be composed of a rechargeable battery, for example, a lithium-ion secondary battery.
[0034] The sensor unit (112) acquires various information regarding the suction device (100). As an example, the sensor unit (112) is composed of a pressure sensor, such as a condenser microphone, a flow sensor, or a temperature sensor, and acquires values associated with suction by the user. As another example, the sensor unit (112) is composed of an input device that receives input of information from the user, such as a button or a switch.
[0035] The notification unit (113) notifies the user of information. The notification unit (113) is composed of, for example, a light-emitting device, a display device that displays an image, a sound output device that outputs sound, or a vibrating device.
[0036] The memory unit (114) stores various information for the operation of the suction device (100). The memory unit (114) is configured by a non-volatile memory medium, such as flash memory, for example.
[0037] The communication unit (115) is a communication interface capable of performing communication based on any wired or wireless communication standard. Examples of such communication standards may include Wi-Fi (registered trademark) or Bluetooth (registered trademark).
[0038] The control unit (116) functions as a computational processing unit and a control unit, and controls the overall operation within the suction device (100) according to various programs. The control unit (116) is realized by electronic circuits such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit) and a microprocessor, for example.
[0039] The chamber (50) receives and supports a stick-shaped material (150). The chamber (50) has an opening (52) that communicates the internal space (80) formed in the suction device (100) with the external space. The stick-shaped material (150) can be inserted from the opening (52) into the internal space (80) of the chamber (50). The chamber (50) receives the stick-shaped material (150) inserted from the opening (52) into the internal space (80).
[0040] A stick-type substrate (150) includes a substrate portion (151) and an intake portion (152). The substrate portion (151) includes an aerosol source. An aerosol is generated by atomizing the aerosol source. The aerosol source is, for example, a polyhydric alcohol such as glycerin and propylene glycol, and a liquid such as water. The aerosol source may include flavor components derived from tobacco or non-tobacco. If the inhalation device (100) is a medical inhaler such as a nebulizer, the aerosol source may include a pharmaceutical agent. Additionally, the aerosol source is not limited to liquid and may be a solid. When the stick-type substrate (150) is supported in the chamber (50), at least a portion of the substrate portion (151) is received in the internal space (80), and at least a portion of the intake portion (152) protrudes from the opening (52). Then, when the user bites and sucks on the suction part (152) protruding from the opening (52), the aerosol generated from the base part (151) reaches the user's mouth.
[0041] The heating unit (40) generates an aerosol by heating the aerosol source and atomizing it. As an example, the heating unit (40) is configured in the shape of a film and is positioned to cover the outer circumference of the chamber (50). Then, when the heating unit (40) generates heat, the base portion (151) of the stick-type base (150) is heated from the outer circumference to generate an aerosol. The heating unit (40) generates heat when supplied with power from the power supply unit (111).
[0042] The insulating part (70) prevents heat transfer from the heating part (40) to other components. For example, the insulating part (70) is composed of vacuum insulating material or aerogel insulating material, etc.
[0043] Above, an example of the configuration of the suction device (100) has been described.
[0044] A stick-type material (150) is an example of an aerosol generating material containing an aerosol source. The suction device (100) and the stick-type material (150) work together to generate an aerosol that is inhaled by a user. Therefore, the combination of the suction device (100) and the stick-type material (150) may be understood as an aerosol generating system.
[0045] <2. Technical Features>
[0046] (1) A configuration that heats the material while applying pressure.
[0047] The suction device (100) according to the present embodiment has a configuration that heats a stick-type substrate (150) while applying pressure. This configuration will be described in detail below.
[0048] FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram showing the physical configuration of a suction device (100) according to the present embodiment. As shown in FIG. 2, the suction device (100) has a heater assembly (30) including a heating part (40) and a chamber (50). As shown in FIG. 2, when a stick-type material (150) is contained in the heater assembly (30) (more specifically, the chamber (50)), there is an air gap between the heater assembly (30) and the stick-type material (150). When a user bites the stick-type material (150) and sucks, air introduced from the opening (52) passes through the air gap, flows into the interior of the stick-type material (150) from the front end of the material part (151), and flows out into the user's mouth from the rear end of the suction part (152). That is, the air inhaled by the user flows in the order of airflow (190A), airflow (190B), and airflow (190C), and is guided into the user's oral cavity in a state mixed with the aerosol generated from the stick-type material (150).
[0049] FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the heater assembly (30) illustrated in FIG. 2. As illustrated in FIG. 3, the heater assembly (30) has a top cap (32), a heating unit (40), and a chamber (50). The heating unit (40) is positioned around the chamber (50). Thus, the heating unit (40) is configured to heat a stick-type material (150) received in the chamber (50). The top cap (32) may be configured to serve as a guide when inserting the stick-type material (150) into the chamber (50), and also to secure the chamber (50) to the suction device (100).
[0050] FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the chamber (50). FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the chamber (50) at arrow 4-4 shown in FIG. 4. FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view of the chamber (50) at arrow 5-5 shown in FIG. 5. As shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the chamber (50) is a bottomed tubular member comprising an opening (52), a side wall (54), and a bottom wall (56) that blocks the end opposite to the opening (52). The side wall (54) has an inner surface (54a) and an outer surface (54b). The bottom wall (56) has an inner surface (56a) and an outer surface (56b). A stick-shaped material (150) is inserted into the chamber (50) through the opening (52) and accommodated in an internal space (80) surrounded by the side wall (54) and the bottom wall (56). The chamber (50) is preferably made of a metal with high thermal conductivity, for example, stainless steel. This enables efficient heating of the stick-type substrate (150).
[0051] As illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5, the chamber (50) has a holding support member (60) that holds and supports a stick-shaped substrate (150). As illustrated in FIGS. 5 and 6, the holding support member (60) includes a pressing member (62) that presses a portion of the stick-shaped substrate (150) and a non-pressing member (66). The pressing member (62) has an inner surface (62a) and an outer surface (62b). The non-pressing member (66) has an inner surface (66a) and an outer surface (66b). The pressing member (62) and the non-pressing member (66) are part of the side wall (54) of the chamber (50).
[0052] It is preferable that the opening (52) of the chamber (50) be able to accept the stick-shaped material (150) without pressing it. The shape of the opening (52) of the chamber (50) in a plane orthogonal to the long direction of the chamber (50) (in other words, the direction in which the stick-shaped material (150) is inserted into the chamber (50) or the direction in which the side wall (54) of the chamber (50) extends) may be polygonal or elliptical, but it is preferable that it be circular.
[0053] As shown in FIGS. 4, 5, and 6, in this embodiment, the chamber (50) has two or more pressure portions (62) in the circumferential direction of the chamber (50). As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the two pressure portions (62) of the holding support portion (60) face each other. It is preferable that at least a portion of the distance between the inner surfaces (62a) of the two pressure portions (62) is smaller than the width of the location between the pressure portions (62) of the stick-shaped material (150) inserted into the chamber (50). As shown, the inner surface (62a) of the pressure portion (62) is flat. The outer surface (62b) of the pressure portion (62) is also flat. More simply, the pressure portion (62) is a part configured as a flat plate among the side walls (54).
[0054] As illustrated in FIG. 6, the inner surface (62a) of the pressure section (62) has a pair of opposing planar pressure surfaces. Meanwhile, the inner surface (66a) of the non-pressure section (66) connects both ends of the pair of planar pressure surfaces and has a pair of opposing curved non-pressure surfaces. As illustrated, the curved non-pressure surfaces may have an overall arc-shaped cross-section in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the chamber (50). The outer surface (62b) of the pressure section (62) and the outer surface (66b) of the non-pressure section (66) are connected to each other at an angle, and a boundary (68) may be formed between the outer surface (62b) of the pressure section (62) and the outer surface (66b) of the non-pressure section (66). As shown in FIG. 6, the pressure portion (62) and the non-pressure portion (66) (i.e., the side wall (54) of the chamber (50)) may have a uniform thickness.
[0055] FIG. 7 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of a chamber (50) including a non-pressure section (66) in a state where a stick-type substrate (150) is held and supported by a holding support section (60). FIG. 8 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of a chamber (50) including a pressure section (62) in a state where a stick-type substrate (150) is held and supported by a holding support section (60). FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view of the chamber (50) at arrow 7-7 shown in FIG. 8. In FIG. 9, a cross-section of the stick-type substrate (150) before pressure is shown so that it is easy to see that the stick-type substrate (150) is pressured by the pressure section (62).
[0056] The gap (67) between the inner surface (66a) of the non-pressure part (66) and the stick-shaped substrate (150), as shown in FIG. 9, is substantially maintained even when the stick-shaped substrate (150) is supported by the holding support part (60) and the stick-shaped substrate (150) is compressed and deformed by the pressure part (62). This gap (67) can communicate with the opening (52) of the chamber (50) and the cross-section of the stick-shaped substrate (150) positioned within the chamber (50) (the lower cross-section in FIG. 7 and FIG. 8, i.e., the cross-section of the substrate part (151) shown in FIG. 2). It may be said that this gap (67) communicates with the opening (52) of the chamber (50) and the cross section of the stick-shaped substrate (150) located within the chamber (50) and further away from the opening (52) of the chamber (50) (the lower cross section in FIG. 7 and 8, i.e., the cross section of the substrate part (151) shown in FIG. 2). And, an air passage is formed through the gap (67) and the interior of the stick-shaped substrate (150) from the opening (52) of the chamber (50) to the cross section of the stick-shaped substrate (150) located outside the chamber (50) (the upper cross section in FIG. 7 and 8, i.e., the cross section of the suction part (152) shown in FIG. 2). Accordingly, since there is no need to separately provide a passage in the suction device (100) for introducing air supplied to the stick-type substrate (150), the structure of the suction device (100) can be simplified. In addition, since the part forming the void (67) of the non-pressure part (66) is exposed, cleaning of the passage can be easily performed. Furthermore, as the air is heated during the process of passing through the void (67), the heat dissipation by the heating part (40) is effectively utilized to increase heating efficiency, and excessive cooling of the stick-type substrate (150) caused by the air introduced along with the puff can be prevented. As a result, the power consumption of the heating part (40) can be suppressed, and the reduction in flavor caused by the cooling of the stick-type substrate (150) along with the puff can be prevented. From the perspective of air resistance, etc., the height of the gap (67) between the inner surface (66a) of the non-pressure part (66) and the stick-shaped substrate (150) is 0.It is preferable that it be 1 mm or more and 1.0 mm or less, more preferable that it be 0.2 mm or more and 0.8 mm or less, and most preferable that it be 0.3 mm or more and 0.5 mm or less.
[0057] As illustrated in FIG. 9, when the stick-shaped substrate (150) is supported by the holding support member (60), the distance (L) between the inner surface (62a) of the pressing member (62) and the center of the stick-shaped substrate (150) A ) is the distance (L) between the inner surface (66a) of the non-pressure part (66) and the center of the stick-shaped substrate (150). B It is shorter than ). With this configuration, the distance between the heating part (40) placed on the outer surface (62b) of the pressing part (62) and the center of the stick-type substrate (150) can be made shorter compared to the case where the pressing part (62) is not provided. Therefore, the heating efficiency of the stick-type substrate (150) can be increased.
[0058] As illustrated in FIGS. 5 to 8, a first convex portion (57a) protruding from the inner surface (56a) of the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) is provided. The first convex portion (57a) has a truncated cone shape, for example, with a flat top surface. The top surface of the first convex portion (57a) is configured to be at least smaller than the cross-section of the stick-type substrate (150). Accordingly, the bottom wall (56) supports a portion of the stick-type substrate (150) inserted into the chamber (50) by the first convex portion (57a) so that at least a portion of the cross-section of the stick-type substrate (150) is exposed, as illustrated in FIGS. 7 and 8. Additionally, the bottom wall (56) can support a portion of the stick-shaped substrate (150) by the first convex portion (57a) so that the cross-section of the exposed stick-shaped substrate (150) communicates with the void (67).
[0059] As illustrated in FIGS. 5 to 8, a second convex portion (57b) is provided on the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) and protrudes from the outer surface (56b) of the bottom wall (56). The second convex portion (57b) has a cylindrical shape, for example, with a flat top surface. The second convex portion (57b) is positioned in the central part of the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50).
[0060] As illustrated in FIGS. 6 and 9, the inner surface (66a) of the non-pressure portion (66) of the retaining support portion (60) is curved in a plane orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the chamber (50). It is preferable that the shape of the inner surface (66a) of the non-pressure portion (66) in a plane orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the chamber (50) is the same as the shape of the opening (52) in a plane orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the chamber (50) at any position in the longitudinal direction of the chamber (50). In other words, it is preferable that the inner surface (66a) of the non-pressure portion (66) be formed by extending the inner surface of the chamber (50) forming the opening (52) in the longitudinal direction.
[0061] As illustrated in FIGS. 3 to 5, the chamber (50) preferably has a tubular non-supporting portion (69) between the opening (52) and the retaining support portion (60). The non-supporting portion (69) is a part of the chamber (50) that does not contribute to the retaining support of the stick-type substrate (150). For example, on a plane orthogonal to the long direction of the chamber (50), the non-supporting portion (69) may be formed larger than the stick-type substrate (150). By doing so, a gap may be formed between the non-supporting portion (69) and the stick-type substrate (150) while the stick-type substrate (150) is retained and supported by the retaining support portion (60).
[0062] As illustrated in FIGS. 5 to 9, it is preferable that the outer surface of the retaining support member (60) has the same shape and size (outer circumference of the retaining support member (60) in a plane perpendicular to the long direction of the retaining support member (60)) over the entire length of the retaining support member (60).
[0063] Additionally, as illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5, it is preferable that the chamber (50) has a first guide portion (58) having a tapered surface (58a) that connects the inner surface of the chamber (50) (i.e., the non-holding support portion (69)) forming the opening (52) and the inner surface (62a) of the pressing portion (62). Since the pressing portion (62) and the non-holding support portion (69) are smoothly connected by the first guide portion (58), it becomes possible to guide the stick-shaped material (150) to the holding support portion (60) in a suitable manner during the process of inserting the stick-shaped material (150) into the chamber (50).
[0064] As illustrated in FIG. 3, a heating element (40) is positioned around the chamber (50). Thus, when the heating element (40) generates heat, the chamber (50) is heated from the outer periphery, and the stick-shaped substrate (150) is heated by the heat transfer from the chamber (50). By doing so, it becomes possible to generate an aerosol from the stick-shaped substrate (150).
[0065] As illustrated in FIG. 3, the heating unit (40) is positioned on the outer surface (62b) of the pressure unit (62). It is preferable that the heating unit (40) be positioned on the outer surface (62b) of the pressure unit (62) without any gaps. Additionally, it is preferable that the heating unit (40) be positioned over the entire outer surface (62b) of the pressure unit (62). However, it is preferable that the heating unit (40) be positioned so as not to protrude from the outer surface (62b) of the pressure unit (62). Of course, the heating unit (40) may be positioned to protrude from the outer surface (62b) of the pressure unit (62) to the outer surface (66b) of the non-pressure unit (66).
[0066] As illustrated in FIG. 3, the heating unit (40) has a heating area (44) and a non-heating area (45). The heating area (44) is an area that generates heat when current is applied to the heating unit (40). The non-heating area (45) is an area that does not generate heat or generates extremely small heat even when current is applied to the heating unit (40). The heating area (44) is placed on the outer surface (62b) of the pressing unit (62). With this configuration, it becomes possible to efficiently heat the stick-type material (150) while pressing the stick-type material (150) with the pressing unit (62).
[0067] As described above, the suction device (100) according to the present embodiment holds, supports, and heats the stick-shaped substrate (150) while pressing it with the pressure part (62). With this configuration, various effects described below are obtained.
[0068] First, the thermal conductivity from the heating unit (40) to the stick-type substrate (150) is improved. That is, the heating efficiency of the stick-type substrate (150) can be improved. Since the heating efficiency of the stick-type substrate (150) is improved, the temperature of the stick-type substrate (150) can be quickly reached to the target temperature, so the time required for preheating (heating from the start of heating until puffing becomes possible) can be shortened. Furthermore, since the heating efficiency of the stick-type substrate (150) is improved, the temperature tracking ability of the stick-type substrate (150) with respect to the temperature change of the heating unit (40) can be improved. As a result, first, the control of the amount of aerosol generated can be made easier. Second, even if the temperature of the stick-type substrate (150) decreases due to puffing by the user, it can be immediately returned to the original temperature. Third, the influence of external environmental factors such as ambient temperature can be reduced.
[0069] In addition, the suction device (100) according to the present embodiment heats the stick-type substrate (150) from the outer periphery while pressing it. With this configuration, it is possible to realize an improvement in the heating efficiency of the stick-type substrate (150) and an improvement in the temperature tracking of the stick-type substrate (150) as described above, regardless of the shape of the aerosol source within the stick-type substrate (150). Furthermore, with this configuration, it is possible to realize an improvement in the heating efficiency of the stick-type substrate (150) and an improvement in the temperature tracking of the stick-type substrate (150) as described above, regardless of errors in the shape or size of the stick-type substrate (150) caused by deviations occurring during the manufacturing process of the stick-type substrate (150). In contrast, in a comparative example where a blade-shaped heating element is inserted into the stick-type substrate (150) and the stick-type substrate (150) is heated from the inside, it may be difficult to achieve these effects. This is because, in the comparative example, even if the stick-shaped substrate (150) is pressed from the outer periphery, it may be difficult to bring the blade-shaped heating part and the aerosol source inside the stick-shaped substrate (150) into good contact.
[0070] In addition, in the suction device (100) according to the present embodiment, the heating area (44) of the heating unit (40) is disposed in the pressing unit (62) that presses the stick-type substrate (150). Accordingly, the suction device (100) according to the present embodiment heats the stick-type substrate (150) in the pressing unit (62). With this configuration, the heating area (44) of the heating unit (40) is disposed in the non-pressing unit (66) as well as the pressing unit (62), and compared with a comparative example in which the stick-type substrate (150) is heated from the entire circumference, the heating efficiency can be improved. This is because it is possible to increase the watt density by narrowing the area of the heating area (44).
[0071] Additionally, in the suction device (100) according to the present embodiment, the insulating part (70) may be arranged to surround the heater assembly (30) from the outer periphery. In this case, the thickness of the air layer formed between the outer surface (62b) of the pressing part (62) and the inner surface of the insulating part (70) can be increased as the outer surface (62b) of the pressing part (62) is located near the center of the internal space (80) compared to the outer surface (66b) of the non-pressing part (66). Alternatively, the thickness of the insulating part (70) overlapping the pressing part (62) can be increased. Thus, the insulation effect by the insulating part (70) can be improved.
[0072] (2) A configuration that prevents misalignment of the heating unit (40)
[0073] The suction device (100) according to the present embodiment has a configuration that prevents misalignment of the heating unit (40). Below, the configuration that prevents misalignment of the heating unit (40) will be described in detail.
[0074] Here, positional misalignment refers to the misalignment between the ideal arrangement of the heating unit (40) and the actual arrangement of the heating unit (40). There are two types of positional misalignment: positional misalignment during manufacturing and positional misalignment during use. Positional misalignment during manufacturing refers to the misalignment that occurs when the heating unit (40) is placed around the chamber (50). Positional misalignment during use refers to the misalignment that occurs during the process of using the manufactured suction device (100). Unless otherwise specifically stated, positional misalignment hereafter refers to both positional misalignment during manufacturing and positional misalignment during use. Furthermore, the ideal arrangement of the heating unit (40) in this embodiment refers to the arrangement of the heating area (44) of the heating unit (40) on the outer surface (62b) of the pressure part (62) of the chamber (50), as shown in FIG. 3.
[0075] FIG. 10 is a drawing showing the configuration of the heating unit (40) according to the present embodiment in a planar view. FIG. 11 is a perspective view showing the heating unit (40) according to the present embodiment before being placed around the chamber (50). FIG. 12 is a perspective view showing the heating unit (40) according to the present embodiment after being placed around the chamber (50). FIG. 13 is a bottom view showing the heating unit (40) according to the present embodiment after being placed around the chamber (50).
[0076] As shown in FIG. 10, the heating member (40) is configured in a planar shape. And, as shown in FIG. 11 and FIG. 12, the heating member (40) is bent to follow the outer surface of the chamber (50) and is positioned along the outer surface of the chamber (50).
[0077] As shown in FIG. 10, the heating member (40) forms a T-shape in a flat state before bending. Then, as shown in FIG. 11 and FIG. 12, the horizontal bar portion of the T-shape of the heating member (40) is bent to follow the outer surface of the chamber (50) and is positioned along the outer surface of the chamber (50). Meanwhile, as shown in FIG. 12, the vertical bar portion of the T-shape of the heating member (40) is bent in the opposite direction to the horizontal bar portion of the T-shape and is spaced apart from the outer surface of the chamber (50).
[0078] As shown in FIG. 10, a hole (43) is provided in the heating part (40). More specifically, a hole (43) is provided in the central part of the T-shape in the state before bending.
[0079] As illustrated in FIG. 10, the heating unit (40) can be constructed by arranging conductive tracks (41) (41a to 41e) on a planar insulating substrate (42). The conductive tracks (41) are circuits constructed from a conductive material. The insulating substrate (42) is a substrate constructed from an insulating material. Polyimide can be cited as an insulating material. For example, the heating unit (40) may be a film heater constructed by sandwiching the conductive tracks between two polyimide films. Other insulating materials may include PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) and fluoropolymer resin.
[0080] As illustrated in FIG. 10, the heating unit (40) has a heating region (44) and a non-heating region (45). The heating region (44) is a region that generates heat when current is applied to the heating unit (40). The non-heating region (45) is a region that does not generate heat or generates extremely small amounts of heat even when current is applied to the heating unit (40). That is, the electrical resistance of the conductive track (41 (41b, 41d)) placed in the heating region (44) is higher than the electrical resistance of the conductive track (41 (41a, 41c, 41e)) placed in the non-heating region (45). As an example, as illustrated in FIG. 10, the conductive track (41) placed in the heating region (44) may be configured to be thin, and the conductive track (41) placed in the non-heating region (45) may be configured to be wide. By doing so, the above-described relationship between electrical resistances can be realized. Additionally, the conductive track (41) placed in the heating area (44) may be composed of, for example, SUS (steel use stainless). Meanwhile, the conductive track (41) placed in the non-heating area (45) may be composed of, for example, a material containing at least one of copper or nickel. Specifically, the conductive track (41) placed in the non-heating area (45) may be composed by plating SUS with copper and nickel. In this case, for example, the thickness of SUS may be 30 μm, the thickness of nickel may be 30 μm, and the thickness of copper may be 5 μm. With such a composition, the relationship between the magnitudes of the electrical resistance described above can be realized, and the heat resistance of the conductive track (41) in the heating area (44) can be increased. Of course, the material constituting the conductive track (41) is not limited to the above-mentioned examples and may be other materials such as aluminum.
[0081] As illustrated in FIG. 10, in the heating area (44) of the heating unit (40), the conductive track (41) may form a parallel circuit. For example, the conductive track (41b) forms a parallel circuit with two paths running parallel at two locations before and after folding back at the end of the heating area (44). Similarly, the conductive track (41d) forms a parallel circuit with two paths running parallel at two locations before and after folding back at the end of the heating area (44). Of course, the number of parallel paths is not limited to two; it may be three or more, and the number of parallel paths before and after folding back may be different. With this configuration, it is possible to reduce the deviation of heat distribution in the heating area (44). Additionally, the conductive track (41) may form a parallel circuit in the non-heating area (45) of the heating unit (40) as well. That is, the conductive tracks (41a, 41c and 41e) may form a parallel circuit. As the number of parallels increases, the width of one conductive track becomes narrower, making it easier to bend the non-heating area (45).
[0082] As illustrated in FIG. 10, the conductive track (41b) is folded back and bent at the end far from the non-heating area (45) of the heating area (44) of the heating unit (40), and is connected to each of the conductive track (41a) and conductive track (41c) arranged around the hole (43). Likewise, the conductive track (41d) is folded back and bent at the end far from the non-heating area (45) of the heating area (44) of the heating unit (40), and is connected to each of the conductive track (41e) and conductive track (41c) arranged around the hole (43). In this way, the conductive track (41) is arranged so that it bypasses the hole (43) from the bottom of the T-shaped vertical bar portion of the heating unit (40), passes through the T-shaped horizontal bar portion once, and returns to the bottom of the T-shaped vertical bar portion.
[0083] As illustrated in FIGS. 11, 12 and 13, the heating unit (40) is positioned around the chamber (50) such that the second convex portion (57b) provided on the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) passes through the hole (43) of the heating unit (40). With this configuration, the range of positional misalignment that may occur in the heating unit (40) can be limited to within the range of the gap between the second convex portion (57b) provided on the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) and the hole (43) of the heating unit (40). Accordingly, it becomes possible to reduce the positional misalignment of the heating unit (40).
[0084] As shown in FIGS. 11, 12 and 13, the hole (43) of the heating unit (40) is externally contacted with the second convex portion (57b) of the chamber (50). With this configuration, the gap between the second convex portion (57b) provided on the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) and the hole (43) of the heating unit (40) can be eliminated. By doing so, the range of positional misalignment that may occur in the heating unit (40) can be made infinitely small. That is, it becomes possible to prevent positional misalignment of the heating unit (40).
[0085] As illustrated in FIG. 13, the shape of the hole (43) of the heating part (40) and the second convex part (57b) of the chamber (50) in a plane orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the chamber (50) may be a circle. With this configuration, it is possible to easily externally encircle the hole (43) of the heating part (40) with the second convex part (57b) of the chamber (50). Furthermore, with this configuration, during the manufacturing process, when the second convex part (57b) of the chamber (50) passes through the hole (43) of the heating part (40), the heating part (40) can be rotated with the second convex part (57b) as the axis of rotation, thereby facilitating positioning to achieve an ideal arrangement of the heating part (40). Of course, the cross-sectional shape of the hole (43) of the heating part (40) and the second convex part (57b) of the chamber (50) may be any shape, such as a polygon or an ellipse. As an example, the cross-sectional shape of the hole (43) of the heating part (40) and the second convex part (57b) of the chamber (50) may be a shape formed by connecting both ends of two parallel lines of equal length with two arcs, similar to the shape formed by two pressure parts (62) and two non-pressure parts (66) shown in FIG. 6. As another example, the cross-sectional shape of the hole (43) of the heating part (40) and the second convex part (57b) of the chamber (50) may be a shape formed by connecting both ends of one straight line with one arc, i.e., a circular shape.
[0086] As illustrated in FIG. 13, a portion of the heating element (40) is positioned along the outer surface (56b) of the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50), excluding the second convex portion (57b). With this configuration, the position of the heating element (40) can be limited so that the portion of the heating element (40) surrounding the hole (43) and the portion of the outer surface (56b) of the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50), excluding the second convex portion (57b), come into contact (e.g., be in close contact). Thus, it is possible to prevent misalignment of the heating element (40) in the longitudinal direction of the chamber (50).
[0087] As illustrated in FIGS. 11 and 12, the portion of the heating section (40) that protrudes from the bottom wall (56) is bent. Specifically, a portion of the heating section (40) (the T-shaped horizontal bar portion) is bent in a direction that approaches the side wall (54) of the chamber (50). As a result, a portion of the heating section (40) (the T-shaped horizontal bar portion) is positioned to follow the outer surface of the chamber (50). Meanwhile, another portion of the heating section (40) (the T-shaped vertical bar portion) is bent from the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) in a direction away from the opening (52) of the chamber (50). With this configuration, it is not necessary to have the entire heating section (40) follow the outer surface of the chamber (50). This makes it possible to improve the degree of design freedom regarding the heating section (40).
[0088] As illustrated in FIGS. 11 and 12, the heating member (40) is bent in a non-heating region (45). With this configuration, it is possible to prevent a load caused by heat from being applied to the bent position. Therefore, compared to the case where the heating member (40) is bent in a heating region (44), it is possible to make it difficult to cause a failure of the heating member (40).
[0089] As illustrated in FIGS. 10 and 12, a portion of the heating portion (40) that is bent away from the opening (52) of the chamber (50) is a non-heating area (45). Specifically, the portion of the non-heating area (45) where the conductive track (41a) and the conductive track (41e) are arranged is bent away from the opening (52) of the chamber (50). With this configuration, it is possible to prevent heat transfer to other parts other than the chamber (50) (e.g., power supply unit (111), etc.).
[0090] A portion of the heating unit (40) that is bent in a direction away from the opening (52) of the chamber (50) is connected to the power supply unit (111) at the end further from the opening (52) of the chamber (50). Specifically, the end (41aa) of the conductive track (41a) placed in the non-heating area (45) that is bent in a direction away from the opening (52) of the chamber (50) is connected to the power supply unit (111). Likewise, the end (41ea) of the conductive track (41e) placed in the non-heating area (45) that is bent in a direction away from the opening (52) of the chamber (50) is connected to the power supply unit (111). With this configuration, power supply to the heating unit (40) is made possible while preventing heat transfer to the power supply unit (111).
[0091] As illustrated in FIG. 10, the hole (43) of the heating unit (40) is positioned so as to be surrounded by a non-heating area (45). And, as illustrated in FIG. 12, the non-heating area (45) of the heating unit (40) is positioned closer to the bottom wall (56) among the bottom wall (56) and the side wall (54) of the chamber (50). Meanwhile, the heating area (44) of the heating unit (40) is positioned closer to the opening (52) among the side wall (54) of the chamber (50). By doing so, the heating area (44) is positioned at a location corresponding to the central part of the stick-shaped material (150), excluding the leading part of the stick-shaped material (150) contained in the chamber (50) (i.e., the side closer to the bottom wall (56)). According to this configuration, compared to the case where a heating area (44) is placed not only in the central part of the stick-type substrate (150) but also at a position corresponding to the tip part, the area of the heating area (44) can be narrowed. As a result, the watt density is increased, making it possible to heat the stick-type substrate (150) efficiently. In addition, by avoiding heating the tip part of the stick-type substrate (150), it is possible to prevent aerosol from leaking out from the tip part of the stick-type substrate (150). As a result, a decrease in the amount of aerosol delivered to the user is prevented, and contamination of the inner surface of the chamber (50) is also prevented.
[0092] As illustrated in FIGS. 11, 12 and 13, the heating element (40) is bent along the boundary portion (54c) between the outer surface (56b) of the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) and the outer surface (54b) of the side wall (54), and is positioned along the outer surface (56b) of the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) and the outer surface (54b) of the side wall (54). With this configuration, by first positioning the heating element (40) along the outer surface (56b) of the bottom wall (56) and then bending the heating element (40) along the boundary portion (54c), it becomes possible to easily position the heating element (40) along the outer surface (outer surface (56b) and outer surface (54b)) of the chamber (50). In addition, the heating part (40) can be fixed when the folded crease and the boundary portion (54c) of the heating part (40) are aligned. By doing so, it is possible to prevent misalignment of the heating part (40).
[0093] In particular, as illustrated in FIGS. 11, 12 and 13, the heating member (40) is folded along the boundary portion (62c) between the outer surface (56b) of the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) and the outer surface (62b) of the pressure portion (62) of the chamber (50), and is positioned along the outer surface (56b) of the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) and the outer surface (62b) of the pressure portion (62) of the chamber (50). Since both the outer surface (56b) of the bottom wall (56) and the outer surface (62b) of the pressure portion (62) are flat, the boundary portion (62c) becomes straight. Thus, the heating member (40) can be fixed by aligning the straight fold of the heating member (40) with the straight boundary portion (62c). Additionally, among the outer surfaces (outer surface (56b) and outer surface (54b)) of the chamber (50), the outer surface (56b) of the bottom wall (56) where the heating part (40) is placed and the outer surface (62b) of the pressure part (62) are each flat. Accordingly, it becomes possible to place the heating part (40), which is configured as a flat surface, on the outer surface of the chamber (50) without a gap. In this way, it becomes possible to prevent misalignment of the position of the heating part (40).
[0094] Additionally, as illustrated in FIGS. 11, 12 and 13, the heating member (40) is bent along the boundary portion (62c) between the outer surface (56b) of the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) and the outer surface (62b) of each of the two pressure members (62) of the chamber (50), and is positioned along the outer surface (56b) of the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) and the outer surface (62b) of each of the two pressure members (62) of the chamber (50). Here, the two pressure members (62) are positioned opposite each other, and the T-shaped horizontal bar portion of the heating member (40) is positioned along each of the outer surface (62b) of the two opposing pressure members (62). By this configuration, the heating member (40) is fixed by being clamped from the outside of the pressure members (62) facing the chamber (50). By doing so, it is possible to prevent misalignment of the heating unit (40).
[0095] <3. Supplement>
[0096] Although suitable embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, the present invention is not limited to these examples. It is evident to those skilled in the art that various modifications or alterations may be made within the scope of the technical concept described in the claims, and these are also naturally understood to fall within the technical scope of the present invention.
[0097] The suction device (100) may additionally have a configuration to further improve the heating efficiency by the heating unit (40). This point will be explained in detail with reference to FIG. 14. FIG. 14 is a perspective view of a heater assembly (30) relating to a modified example. As shown in FIG. 14, a heat transfer layer (90) may be wound to cover at least a portion of the heating unit (40) arranged along the outer surface (54b) of the side wall (54) of the chamber (50). In particular, it is preferable that the heat transfer layer (90) covers the entire heating area (44). The heat transfer layer (90) is a sheet-shaped member having a predetermined thermal conductivity. It is preferable that the thermal conductivity of the heat transfer layer (90) is at least higher than the thermal conductivity of the chamber (50). As an example, the heat transfer layer (90) may be composed of graphite. As another example, the heating layer (90) may be composed of aluminum or copper, etc. With this configuration, since the part of the chamber (50) where the heating part (40) is not placed can also be heated through the heating layer (90), it is possible to improve the heating efficiency of the stick-type substrate (150).
[0098] In the above embodiment, an example was described in which the heating part (40) is configured as a film heater in which a conductive track (41) is sandwiched between two insulating substrates (42), but the present invention is not limited to such an example. For example, a conductive film may be used instead of the conductive track (41). A conductive film is a film having conductivity, and can be formed, for example, by forming an ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) film.
[0099] In the above embodiment, an example was described in which one second convex portion (57b) is provided on the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50), but the present invention is not limited to such an example. Two or more second convex portions (57b) may be provided on the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50). In this case, the heating portion (40) may have the same number of holes (43) as the second convex portions (57b).
[0100] In the above embodiment, an example was described in which the chamber (50) has a pair of opposing pressure parts (62), but the present invention is not limited to such an example. The pair of pressure parts (62) do not necessarily have to be opposing. The chamber (50) may have one pressure part (62) or three or more pressure parts (62). In this case, the heating part (40) may be arranged along each of the one or more pressure parts (62). That is, the heating part (40) is not limited to forming a T-shape in the flat state before bending. The heating part (40) may be configured in a shape according to the relative position of the pressure part (62) with respect to the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) in the flat state before bending.
[0101] In the above embodiment, an example in which the chamber (50) is configured as a roughly cylindrical shape has been described, but the present invention is not limited to such an example. The chamber (50) may be configured as a roughly elliptical cylinder or may be configured as a rectangular cylinder shape.
[0102] In the above embodiment, an example was described in which the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) completely blocks the end opposite the opening (52) of the chamber (50), but the present invention is not limited to such an example. The bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50) only needs to block at least a portion of the end opposite the opening (52) of the chamber (50). That is, a hole may be provided in the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50). For example, a hole penetrating the first convex portion (57a) and the second convex portion (57b) may be provided, and an air passage for introducing air into the internal space (80) of the chamber (50) may be connected to said hole.
[0103] In the above embodiment, an example in which a hole (43) is provided in the heating part (40) has been described, but the present invention is not limited to such an example. The heating part (40) may have a location corresponding to the second convex part (57b) provided on the bottom wall (56) of the chamber (50). Furthermore, the heating part (40) may be positioned around the chamber (50) such that the second convex part (57b) of the chamber (50) corresponds to the location corresponding to the second convex part (57b) of the chamber (50) provided in the heating part (40). For example, a cutout of a size including the hole (43) may be provided in the central part of the T-shape of the heating part (40) in the flat state before bending. Furthermore, the heating part (40) may be positioned around the chamber (50) such that the cutout is externally contacted by the second convex part (57b).
[0104] In the above embodiment, an example in which a second convex portion (57b) is provided on the bottom wall (56) has been described, but the present invention is not limited to such an example. The bottom wall (56) may be provided with an element corresponding to a hole (43) that serves as a marker to prevent misalignment of the heating portion (40). For example, the bottom wall (56) may have a circular marker corresponding to the hole (43) drawn on it, or a concave portion corresponding to the hole (43) may be provided.
