For example, an inhalation device generates an aerosol with flavor components by using a base material that includes an aerosol source for generating an aerosol and a flavor source for imparting flavor components to the generated aerosol. A user can taste the flavor by inhaling the aerosol with flavor components generated by the inhalation device. The action of a user inhaling the aerosol is hereinafter also referred to as a puff or puff action.

[0029] Suitable embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings. Furthermore, in this specification and drawings, components having substantially the same functional configuration are given the same reference numerals to avoid redundant descriptions.
[0030] <1. Example of Suction Device Configuration>
[0031] A suction device is a device that generates a substance inhaled by a user. Hereinafter, the substance generated by the suction device is described as an aerosol. Alternatively, the substance generated by the suction device may be a gas.
[0032] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing an example of the configuration of a suction device. As shown in FIG. 1, the suction device (100) related to the present configuration includes a power supply unit (111), a sensor unit (112), a notification unit (113), a memory unit (114), a communication unit (115), a control unit (116), a heating unit (121), a receiving unit (140), and an insulation unit (144).
[0033] The power supply unit (111) accumulates power. Then, the power supply unit (111) supplies power to each component of the suction device (100) based on control by the control unit (116). The power supply unit (111) may be composed of a rechargeable battery, for example, a lithium-ion secondary battery.
[0034] The sensor unit (112) acquires various information regarding the suction device (100). As an example, the sensor unit (112) is composed of a pressure sensor, such as a condenser microphone, a flow sensor, or a temperature sensor, and acquires a value based on suction by the user. As another example, the sensor unit (112) is composed of an input device that receives input of information from the user, such as a button or a switch.
[0035] The notification unit (113) notifies the user of information. The notification unit (113) is composed of, for example, a light-emitting device, a display device that displays an image, a sound output device that outputs sound, or a vibrating device.
[0036] The memory unit (114) stores various information for the operation of the suction device (100). The memory unit (114) is composed of a non-volatile storage medium, such as a flash memory, for example.
[0037] The communication unit (115) is a communication interface capable of performing communication based on any wired or wireless communication standard. As such a communication standard, for example, Wi-Fi (registered trademark) or Bluetooth (registered trademark) may be adopted.
[0038] The control unit (116) functions as a computational processing unit and a control unit, and controls the overall operation within the suction device (100) according to various programs. The control unit (116) is realized by electronic circuits such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit) and a microprocessor, for example.
[0039] The receiving portion (140) has an internal space (141) and holds (holds / supports) the stick-type material (150) while receiving a part of the stick-type material (150) in the internal space (141). The receiving portion (140) has an opening (142) that communicates the internal space (141) to the outside and holds the stick-type material (150) inserted into the internal space (141) from the opening (142). For example, the receiving portion (140) is a conventional body having the opening (142) and the bottom portion (143) as bottom surfaces, and defines a columnar internal space (141). The receiving portion (140) also has the function of defining the air passage supplied to the stick-shaped material (150). An air inlet hole, which is the air inlet to this passage, is placed, for example, at the bottom portion (143). Meanwhile, an air outlet hole, which is the air outlet from this passage, is an opening (142).
[0040] The stick-type material (150) includes a material portion (151) and a suction portion (152). The material portion (151) includes an aerosol source. In addition, in the present configuration example, the aerosol source is not limited to liquid and may be solid. When the stick-type material (150) is held in the receiving portion (140), at least a portion of the material portion (151) is received in the internal space (141), and at least a portion of the suction portion (152) protrudes from the opening (142). Then, when a user puts the suction portion (152) protruding from the opening (142) into their mouth and sucks, air is introduced into the internal space (141) from an air inlet hole (not shown) and reaches the user's mouth together with the aerosol generated from the material portion (151).
[0041] The heating unit (121) generates an aerosol by heating the aerosol source and atomizing it. In the example shown in FIG. 1, the heating unit (121) is configured in the form of a film and is arranged to cover the outer circumference of the receiving unit (140). Then, when the heating unit (121) generates heat, the base portion (151) of the stick-type base (150) is heated from the outer circumference, and an aerosol is generated. The heating unit (121) generates heat when power is supplied from the power supply unit (111). As an example, power may be supplied when the sensor unit (112) detects that the user has started inhaling and / or that certain information has been input. Then, power may be stopped when the sensor unit (112) detects that the user has finished inhaling and / or that certain information has been input.
[0042] The insulating part (144) prevents heat transfer from the heating part (121) to other components. For example, the insulating part (144) is composed of vacuum insulating material or aerogel insulating material.
[0043] The above describes an example of the configuration of the suction device (100). Of course, the configuration of the suction device (100) is not limited to the above and may take various configurations as exemplified below.
[0044] For example, the receiving portion (140) may include an opening and closing mechanism, such as a hinge, that opens and closes a part of the outer shell forming the internal space (141). Additionally, the receiving portion (140) may hold a stick-shaped material (150) inserted into the internal space (141) by opening and closing the outer shell. In that case, the heating portion (121) may be installed at the corresponding holding location in the receiving portion (140) and may heat the stick-shaped material (150) while pressing it.
[0045] Here, the power supply unit (111) is an example of a power supply unit that supplies power to the heating unit (121). The stick-shaped material (150) is an example of an aerosol generating article containing an aerosol source.
[0046] The suction device (100) and the stick-type material (150) cooperate to generate an aerosol that is inhaled by the user. Therefore, the combination of the suction device (100) and the stick-type material (150) may be recognized as an aerosol generating system.
[0047] <2. Detailed Configuration of the Heating Unit>
[0048] FIG. 2 is a planar view of the heating unit (121) related to the present embodiment. FIG. 3 is a view showing the arrangement of the heating unit (121) related to the present embodiment. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the portion where the heating unit (121) of the suction device (100) related to the present embodiment is arranged.
[0049] As shown in FIG. 2, the heating unit (121) has an electric resistance unit (10) and an electric insulation unit (20). FIG. 2 shows the dimensions of the electric resistance unit (10) and the electric insulation unit (20), and the unit is millimeters (mm).
[0050] As shown in FIG. 3, the heating unit (121) is positioned around the receiving unit (140). The receiving unit (140) is made of a material having a certain heat transfer property, such as SUS (Steel Use Stainless). Therefore, the heat emitted by the heating unit (121) can heat the stick-shaped substrate (150) contained in the internal space (141) of the receiving unit (140) through the receiving unit (140).
[0051] As shown in FIG. 4, on the side of the receiving portion (140), an electrical insulation portion (20A), an electrical resistance portion (10), an electrical insulation portion (20B), a heat diffusion layer (30), an insulation layer (40), and a heat shrink tube (50) are laminated.
[0052] In addition, in the present specification and drawings, elements having substantially the same functional configuration may be distinguished by attaching different alphabets after the same reference numeral. For example, multiple elements having substantially the same functional configuration may be distinguished as electrical insulation parts (20A and 20B) as needed. However, if there is no need to specifically distinguish each of the multiple elements having substantially the same functional configuration, only the same reference numeral is attached. For example, if there is no need to specifically distinguish the electrical insulation parts (20A and 20B), they are simply referred to as electrical insulation parts (20).
[0053] In these drawings, the direction in which the stick-shaped material (150) is inserted into the heating portion (121) is also referred to as the downward direction. The direction in which the stick-shaped material (150) is removed from the heating portion (121) is also referred to as the upward direction. That is, the upward and downward direction is the direction in which the stick-shaped material (150) is inserted and removed. The upward and downward direction corresponds to the length direction of the receiving portion (140).
[0054] In addition, the direction that follows the outer circumference in a cross-section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the receiving portion (140), as a direction orthogonal to the vertical direction, is also referred to as the left-right direction. As shown in FIG. 3, when the receiving portion (140) is configured in a cylindrical shape, the left-right direction corresponds to the circumferential direction in a circular cross-section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the receiving portion (140).
[0055] Below, each component of the heating unit (121) will be described in detail.
[0056] The electric resistance part (10) generates heat by power supplied from the power supply part (111). Specifically, the electric resistance part (10) emits Joule heat when current flows. The electric resistance part (10) is formed, for example, by SUS (Steel Use Stainless). In that case, the electric resistance part (10) can exhibit high heat resistance.
[0057] For example, the electric resistance part (10) may be a conductive track. The conductive track wraps around the receiving part (140) in a curved manner. Depending on the distribution of the conductive track around the receiving part (140), the side of the receiving part (140) can be heated to any heat distribution.
[0058] The electrical insulation part (20) is a film-like member having electrical insulation properties. The electrical insulation part (20) may be a film. Alternatively, the film serving as the electrical insulation part (20) may be formed by applying a varnish. The electrical insulation part (20) is composed of any material having electrical insulation properties. For example, the electrical insulation part (20) is composed of polyimide. With this composition, the electrical insulation part (20) can exhibit high heat resistance.
[0059] The electric resistance member (10) is placed on the electric insulation member (20). In particular, the heating member (121) may have two electric insulation members (20) (20A and 20B), and the electric resistance member (10) may be fitted by the two electric insulation members (20). With this configuration, the electric resistance member (10) is prevented from coming into contact with another conductor and short-circuiting.
[0060] As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the electrical insulation portion (20) has notches (90) (90A to 90C). Because of this, the heating portion (121) covers the side of the receiving portion (140) except for the notches (90). Meanwhile, the side of the receiving portion (140) is exposed at the notches (90). With this configuration, if there are irregularities on the side of the receiving portion (140), it becomes possible for the heating portion (121) to adhere to the side of the receiving portion (140) while avoiding the irregularities on the side of the receiving portion (140) by the notches (90). If there are no notches (90), the heating portion (121) will lift off the uneven part of the side of the receiving portion (140), and the temperature of this lifted part will rise rapidly, potentially damaging the heating portion (121). In this respect, according to this configuration, the heating part (121) is in close contact with the side of the receiving part (140), so it is possible to prevent damage to the heating part (121). In this way, proper heating of the stick-type substrate (150) is realized.
[0061] As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the electrical insulation portion (20) has two or more alternately formed notches (90). Since the electrical resistance portion (10) is placed on the electrical insulation portion (20) and not on the notches (90), if the notches (90) are placed in a skewed direction, the distribution of the electrical resistance portion (10) becomes skewed accordingly. In this respect, according to this configuration, the bias in the distribution of the electrical resistance portion (10) caused by the installation of the notches (90) can be reduced. Accordingly, it becomes possible to heat the stick-type substrate (150) more uniformly.
[0062] As shown in FIG. 2, two or more notches (90) are formed alternately in the left and right directions. For example, a notch (90A) is formed on the lower side, a notch (90B) is formed on the upper side, and a notch (90C) is formed on the lower side. With this configuration, the heating part (121) uniformly covers the side of the receiving part (140) in the left and right directions, making it possible to uniformly heat the stick-shaped substrate (150).
[0063] As shown in FIG. 2, the electrical insulation part (20) related to the present embodiment is formed in an M shape having three notches (90) and three foldings (i.e., second parts (22A) to 22C)).
[0064] That is, the electrical insulation part (20) has four first parts (21) (21A~21D) extending in the vertical direction and three second parts (22) (22A~22C) connecting the ends of two adjacent first parts (21) in the left and right directions. And, the two first parts (21) connected by the second parts (22) are spaced apart in the left and right directions with a notch (90) in between. Specifically, the second part (22A) connects the upper ends of the first part (21A) and the first part (21B). And, the first part (21A) and the first part (21B) are spaced apart with a notch (90A) in between. The second part (22B) connects the lower ends of the first part (21B) and the first part (21C). Also, the first part (21B) and the first part (21C) are spaced apart with a notch (90B) in between. The second part (22C) connects the tops of the first part (21C) and the first part (21D). Also, the first part (21C) and the first part (21D) are spaced apart with a notch (90C) in between.
[0065] And, two second parts (22) connected to the same first part (21) are spaced apart in the vertical direction. Specifically, the second part (22A) and the second part (22B) connected to the first part (21B) are spaced apart in the vertical direction. The second part (22B) and the second part (22C) connected to the first part (21C) are spaced apart in the vertical direction.
[0066] The electrical insulation portion (20) covers less than 50% of the side of the receiving portion (140) in all cross-sections orthogonal to the vertical direction. In the cross-section at the AA cutting line shown in FIG. 2, the electrical insulation portion (20) covers 11.8 mm ((1.5 mm + 2.9 mm + 1.5 mm) × 2), which is less than 50% of the total side length of 23.7 mm of the receiving portion (140). In the cross-section at the BB cutting line, the electrical insulation portion (20) covers 11.6 mm (2.9 mm × 4), which is less than 50% of the total side length of 23.7 mm of the receiving portion (140). In the cross-section of the CC cutting line, the electrical insulation portion (20) covers 11.7 mm ((1.5 mm + 2.9 mm + 1.5 mm) + 2.9 mm × 2), which is less than 50% of the total length of 23.7 mm of the side of the receiving portion (140). According to this configuration, the electrical resistance portion (10) also covers less than 50% of the side of the receiving portion (140) in all cross-sections orthogonal to the vertical direction. Therefore, it is possible to prevent excessive heating of the stick-type substrate (150).
[0067] As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the electric resistance section (10) is installed by being folded back together with the folding of the electric insulation section (20) according to the shape of the electric insulation section (20). That is, the electric resistance section (10) is formed in an M shape having three notches (90) and three foldings. In the first part (21), two paths are installed. With this configuration, the electric resistance section (10) is placed in a larger portion of the side of the receiving section (140), so it is possible to improve heating efficiency.
[0068] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, a heat diffusion layer (30) is disposed covering the outer side of the heating portion (121). The heat diffusion layer (30) is a heat-diffusing material. The heat diffusion layer (30) is formed, for example, by copper, graphite, or aluminum. For example, the heat diffusion layer (30) is formed as a film and covers the outer side of the receiving portion (140) and the heating portion (121) disposed around the receiving portion (140), and is disposed in close contact with the outer side of the heating portion (121) or the outer side of the receiving portion (140) corresponding to the notch (90). With this configuration, heat generated from the heating portion (121) can be diffused across the entire side of the receiving portion (140). Accordingly, by reducing the temperature difference between the part of the side of the receiving part (140) where the heating part (121) is installed and the part where the notch (90) is installed, it becomes possible to heat the stick-type substrate (150) uniformly.
[0069] The heating section (121) is positioned around the receiving section (140) and is fixed to the receiving section (140) by a heat shrink tube (50) while covered by a heat diffusion layer (30) and an insulation layer (40). The insulation layer (40) is a film-like member having a predetermined thermal insulation property. For example, the insulation layer (40) is composed of a vacuum insulation material or an aerogel insulation material. Since the heat diffusion layer (30) is covered by the insulation layer (40), it is possible to prevent heat from the heating section (121) diffused by the heat diffusion layer (30) from spreading outward beyond the insulation layer (40). The heat shrink tube (50) is a tubular member that shrinks when heat is applied. For example, the heat shrink tube (50) is composed of a resin material. By heating the heat shrink tube (50) while wrapping the heating part (121), heat diffusion layer (30), insulation layer (40), and heat shrink tube (50) in order around the receiving part (140), it becomes possible to easily fix these components.
[0070] Additionally, the insulation layer (40) corresponds to the insulation section (144) shown in FIG. 1. Of course, the insulation layer (40) may be installed separately from the insulation section (144) shown in FIG. 1.
[0071] The heating unit (121) may have multiple regions that generate heat at different temperatures in the vertical direction. For example, the heating unit (121) may have a high-heating region that generates heat at a high temperature and a low-heating region that generates heat at a low temperature. With this configuration, it is possible to heat the stick-type substrate (150) at an optimal temperature distribution.
[0072] The electric resistance portion (10) may be unevenly distributed in the vertical direction. For example, the electric resistance portion (10) may be distributed at different densities in the high-heating region and the low-heating region. With this configuration, it is possible to heat the heating portion (121) at different temperatures in the vertical direction.
[0073] <3. Supplement>
[0074] Although suitable embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above with reference to the accompanying drawings, the present invention is not limited to these examples. It is evident that a person skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains may conceive of various modifications or variations within the scope of the technical concept described in the claims, and these are also naturally understood to fall within the technical scope of the present invention.
[0075] For example, in the above embodiment, an example in which two or more notches (90) are alternately formed in the left and right directions has been described, but the present invention is not limited to such an example. Two or more notches (90) may be alternately formed in other directions, such as the up and down directions. Even in that case, the heating part (121) can uniformly cover the side of the receiving part (140) so that the stick-shaped substrate (150) can be uniformly heated.
[0076] For example, in the above embodiment, an example was described in which the electrical insulation part (20) has three notches (90), but the present invention is not limited to such an example. The electrical insulation part (20) may have one or more notches (90). That is, the electrical insulation part (20) may have two or more first parts (21) and one or more second parts (22). The number of notches (90) may be arbitrarily set according to the shape of the receiving part (140), etc.
[0077] Specifically, in the above embodiment, an example was described in which the electrical insulation part (20) is formed in an M shape having three notches (90) and three foldings, but the present invention is not limited to such an example. For example, the electrical insulation part (20) may be formed in a zigzag shape. Here, the zigzag shape refers to a shape having four or more notches (90) and four or more foldings.
[0078] For example, in the above embodiment, an example was described in which the electric resistance part (10) is folded back together with the folding of the electric insulation part (20) according to the shape of the electric insulation part (20), but the present invention is not limited to such an example. That is, the number of foldings of the electric resistance part (10) and the number of foldings of the electric insulation part (20) may be different. Such an example is described with reference to FIG. 5. FIG. 5 is a planar unfolded view of the heating part (121) related to the modified example. As shown in FIG. 5, the electric insulation part (20) related to the modified example has one notch (90) and one folding (i.e., a second part (22)). That is, the electric insulation part (20) has two first parts (21) and one second part (22). In this regard, the electric resistance part (10) is folded five times in each of the first part (21A) and the first part (21B). In this way, the number of folds of the electric resistance part (10) may be greater than the number of folds of the electric insulation part (20).
[0079] For example, in the above embodiment, an example was described in which the heat diffusion layer (30) is disposed covering the outside of the heating section (121), but the present invention is not limited to such an example. For example, the heat diffusion layer (30) may be disposed between the heating section (121) and the receiving section (140). In that case, the insulating layer (40) is disposed covering the outside of the heating section (121). With this configuration, it is possible to diffuse the heat generated from the heating section (121) across the entire side of the receiving section (140) and to heat the stick-type substrate (150) uniformly.
[0080] For example, in the above embodiment, an example was described in which the heating part (121), the heat diffusion layer (30), and the insulation layer (40) are fixed to the receiving part (140) by a heat shrink tube (50), but the present invention is not limited to such an example. For example, the heating part (121), the heat diffusion layer (30), and the insulation layer (40) may be fixed by a clip. A clip here is a member that clamps an object, for example, clamps the receiving part (140) from the front and back. Alternatively, at least one of the heat diffusion layer (30) or the insulation layer (40) may be configured as a clip and clamp the receiving part (140).
[0081] For example, in the above embodiment, an example in which the receiving portion (140) is configured in a cylindrical shape has been described, but the present invention is not limited to such an example. The cross-sectional shape of the receiving portion (140) may be elliptical or polygonal.
[0082] In addition, the following configurations also fall within the technical scope of the present invention.
[0083] (1)
[0084] A receiving portion into which an aerosol-generating article is inserted, and
[0085] A heating part that heats the aerosol generating article inserted into the above receiving part and a heating part that heats the above aerosol generating article
[0086] A power supply unit that supplies power to the heating unit above,
[0087] Equipped with,
[0088] The heating unit above is,
