Background Technology
[0002] Indoor sports facilities that simulate outdoor environments on screens to provide a sense of realism are becoming popular, allowing people to enjoy outdoor sports indoors. These facilities include a variety of options such as screen golf courses, screen baseball fields, screen courts, and screen basketball courts.
[0003] Such indoor sports facilities simulate the external environment using a beam projector and output it to a screen, and users look at the screen and hit the ball against it.
[0004] Meanwhile, since these indoor sports facilities are located in enclosed indoor spaces and are used by multiple users, hygienic management is required. Prior art literature
[0005] Republic of Korea Registered Patent No. 10-2378447 (March 21, 2022) Republic of Korea Registered Patent No. 10-2099095 (April 3, 2020) Republic of Korea Registered Patent No. 10-1437236 (August 27, 2014) Republic of Korea Published Patent No. 10-2011-0105595 (September 27, 2011) Republic of Korea Registered Patent No. 10-1028577 (April 4, 2011) The problem to be solved
[0006] The present invention is proposed based on the above-mentioned points, and the objective of the present invention is to provide an antibacterial fabric for indoor sports screens with a novel composition that has the advantage of maintaining a pleasant and hygienic indoor environment of indoor sports facilities. means of solving the problem
[0007] According to the features of the present invention, an antibacterial fabric for indoor sports screens is provided, characterized by being woven in a twill weave using a composite yarn in which polyester fibers and antibacterial fibers are combined in a weight ratio of 1:1 to 3:1 as the weft and warp yarns.
[0008] According to another feature of the present invention, the antibacterial yarn is made of linoleic fiber. Effects of the invention
[0009] The present invention, having the above-described composition, is suitable for use as a screen fabric for indoor sports facilities such as indoor screen golf courses and indoor screen baseball fields. When the present invention is used as a screen for indoor sports facilities, its antibacterial properties help to maintain a hygienic indoor environment of the sports facility.
[0010] In addition, physical properties such as wear resistance and friction fastness are excellent, so it is not easily damaged even when struck hard by a ball, extending its lifespan, and there is little risk of image quality degradation due to damage to the screen surface even after prolonged use. Brief explanation of the drawing
[0011] Figure 1 is a photograph of the fabric manufactured in Experimental Example 1 of the present invention. Specific details for implementing the invention
[0012] The present invention will be explained in more detail below according to each embodiment.
[0013] The antibacterial fabric according to the first embodiment of the present invention is described as follows. The antibacterial fabric according to the present invention is woven in a twill weave using a composite yarn of polyester fibers and antibacterial fibers.
[0014] Polyester fibers not only possess high strength comparable to nylon but also offer excellent lightweight properties. Due to their high elasticity, they exhibit superior wrinkle recovery, thermal stability, and processability. Furthermore, polyester fibers possess hygienic advantages as they are resistant to mold and microorganisms.
[0015] In addition, the antimicrobial fiber is a fiber having antimicrobial properties, and the use of such an antimicrobial fiber imparts antimicrobial properties to the present invention. Various types of antimicrobial fibers are known, including fibers containing inorganic antimicrobial agents such as nano silver, and the present invention uses such known antimicrobial fibers.
[0016] Meanwhile, among antimicrobial fibers, an antimicrobial fiber (also known as 'LINOL fiber') is provided by adding volcanic ash while graft polymerizing a vegetable oil containing 70% by weight or more of linolenic acid and less than 5% by weight of a low molecular weight volatile substance with a boiling point of 120 to 220°C into a polyester. Since this linOL fiber has excellent advantages such as antimicrobial properties, moisture-wicking properties, deodorizing properties, and UV blocking properties, it is preferable to use linOL fiber as an antimicrobial fiber.
[0017] The present invention is woven in a twill weave using a composite yarn, formed by combining polyester fibers and antibacterial fibers, as warp and weft. While the antibacterial properties of the fabric are superior as the content of the antibacterial fibers increases, the physical properties of the fabric, such as durability and abrasion resistance, are reduced as the content of the polyester fibers decreases relatively. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the ratio of the polyester fibers and antibacterial fibers combined in consideration of these factors. Preferably, the polyester fibers and antibacterial fibers are combined in a weight ratio of 1:1 to 3:1.
[0018] Meanwhile, twill is a fabric structure characterized by ridges on its surface, possessing the advantages of being thick yet soft, highly flexible, less prone to wrinkles, and having a good luster. Additionally, since twill is practical as it is less prone to dirt and offers superior durability compared to other fabric structures, the present invention is woven using a twill weave among various woven fabric structures.
[0019] The present invention, having such a composition, is suitable for use as a screen fabric for indoor sports facilities such as indoor screen golf courses and indoor screen baseball fields. When the present invention is used as a screen for indoor sports facilities, its antibacterial properties help maintain a hygienic indoor environment. Furthermore, since it has excellent wear resistance and friction fastness, the screen is not easily damaged even when struck by a ball, thereby extending its lifespan compared to conventional screens and reducing the risk of image quality degradation even with long-term use.
[0020] Experimental Example 1
[0021] A twill fabric as disclosed in FIG. 1 was manufactured by using a composite yarn, which is a linolenic fiber containing 80% by weight of linolenic acid and 2.5% by weight of chia seed oil as a vegetable oil with a boiling point of 120 to 220°C and a low molecular weight volatile substance of less than 5% by weight, and a polyester fiber combined in a 1:1 weight ratio, as warp and weft yarns.
[0022] Antimicrobial Evaluation

[0032] As can be seen from Tables 1 and 2, the fabric of Example 1 has 99.9% antibacterial power.
[0033] Evaluation of Wear Resistance and Friction Fastness
[0034] Abrasion resistance was evaluated using the knitting test method of KS K-0815, and friction fastness was measured according to AATCC 8 standards, and the results are as shown in Table 3.
[0035] Comparative Example 1 is a test of measuring abrasion resistance and friction fastness using a commercially available screen fabric for screen golf facilities.
[0036] Wear resistance Friction fastness Experimental Example 1 32nd episode Grade 3 Comparative Example 1 Episode 18 Level 2
[0037] As can be seen from Table 4, the fabric of Experimental Example 1 exhibits superior abrasion resistance and friction fastness compared to conventional screen fabrics. Therefore, if an indoor sports facility screen is made using the fabric of Experimental Example 1, it is not easily damaged even when struck by a ball, thus extending its lifespan compared to conventional screens. Furthermore, there is less concern that the image quality of the output will deteriorate due to screen damage even after prolonged use.
[0038] Hereinafter, other embodiments of the present invention will be described, but descriptions of configurations and effects identical to those of the previously described embodiments will be omitted.
[0039] In this embodiment, a fabric is woven using a composite yarn formed by combining polyester fibers containing functional capsules and antibacterial fibers.
[0040] The functional capsule consists of a core made of graphite and an outer wall made of melamine resin that surrounds the core. The functional capsule is manufactured using known encapsulation technology. Preferably, a graphite dispersion is prepared by dispersing graphite powder with an average particle size of 0.2 to 3 μm in water equivalent to half the amount of graphite powder. Separately, a melamine resin solution is prepared by adding and dispersing 25 to 40 parts by weight of zeolite powder, 3 to 5 parts by weight of tea tree oil, and 3 to 5 parts by weight of cypress oil to 100 parts by weight of melamine resin. Since melamine resin has relatively superior flame retardancy compared to other resins, it is preferable to use it as the base resin forming the outer wall of the functional capsule. Zeolite has a three-dimensional network structure formed by micropores, and thus possesses deodorizing properties that adsorb and remove odors through this pore structure. Additionally, the inclusion of zeolite helps improve the flame retardancy of the fiber. In addition, tea tree oil has sterilizing and deodorizing effects, and cypress oil also has antibacterial and deodorizing properties.
[0041] 30 to 45 parts by weight of a melamine resin solution are added to 100 parts by weight of a prepared graphite dispersion and stirred evenly while gradually increasing the pH of the mixture to cure the melamine resin, thereby creating a capsule dispersion. Then, the capsule dispersion is dried to powderize the capsules.
[0042] When using polyester fibers containing such functional capsules, the antibacterial properties, flame retardancy, and deodorizing properties of the fabric are improved, and the conductivity is enhanced by the graphite used as the core, so an antistatic effect can also be obtained.
[0043] In this embodiment, a masterbatch is made by mixing a functional capsule prepared in this way with a polyester resin, and a polyester fiber is manufactured by spinning the masterbatch. Considering the physical properties of the fiber, such as spinnability, flame retardancy, deodorization, abrasion resistance, and fastness, a polyester fiber containing 35 to 45 parts by weight of a functional capsule per 100 parts by weight of polyester resin is used.
[0044] The fabric manufactured according to this embodiment has improved antibacterial properties, flame retardancy, and deodorizing properties, as well as improved abrasion resistance and friction fastness. When this fabric is used as a screen, the flame retardancy of the screen is improved, which prevents the spread of flames in the event of a fire and helps in the early suppression of the fire. Additionally, due to its conductivity, an antistatic effect is obtained, which prevents dust and other substances from adhering to the screen due to static electricity and easily contaminating the screen. Furthermore, due to its deodorizing properties, it removes indoor odors, which helps create a pleasant indoor environment in indoor sports facilities.
[0045] In addition, since wear resistance and friction fastness are improved, damage to the screen is prevented even when the screen is struck countless times by balls during long-term use, thus offering the advantage of an extended screen lifespan compared to conventional screens.
[0046] Experimental Example 2
[0047] A functional capsule was made by adding 42 parts by weight of a melamine resin solution, prepared by adding 40 parts by weight of zeolite powder, 3 parts by weight of tea tree oil, and 3 parts by weight of cypress oil to 100 parts by weight of melamine resin, to 100 parts by weight of graphite dispersion.
[0048] A masterbatch was made by mixing 100 parts by weight of polyester resin with 45 parts by weight of functional capsules, and polyester fibers were made by spinning the masterbatch.
[0049] A fabric was made by twill-weaving a composite yarn in which the polyester fibers made in this way and the linole fibers used in Experimental Example 1 were combined in a weight ratio of 2:1.
[0050] Antimicrobial Evaluation
[0051] As a result of testing the antibacterial properties of the manufactured fabric using the same method as in Experiment Example 1, it showed excellent antibacterial activity of 99.9% against both Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae.
[0052] Flame Retardancy Evaluation
[0053] Flame retardant performance was tested using the Limited Oxyden Index (LOI) method according to KS M3032 standards, and the test results are shown in Table 4. Comparative Example 2 is the result of a flame retardancy test on a commercially available screen fabric for screen golf facilities.
[0054] LOI Experimental Example 2 30 Comparative Example 2 28
[0055] As can be seen from Table 4, Comparative Example 2 has an LOI of 28, whereas Experimental Example 30 has improved flame retardancy compared to Comparative Example 2.
[0056] Deodorization Evaluation
[0057] The fabric was cut to a size of 100mm x 100mm to measure the ammonia removal rate (FTM-5-2: 2004, gas detection tube method). The results are shown in Table 5.
[0058] Deodorization rate Experimental Example 2 96.5%
[0059] As can be seen from Table 4, Experimental Example 2 not only has an excellent deodorization rate but also has a low electrical resistance, indicating excellent conductivity, and thus it can be seen that it has an excellent antistatic effect due to antistatic properties.
[0060] Antistatic Performance Assessment
[0061] The triboelectric voltage (Method B) was measured in accordance with KS K 0555:2015 of the Korea Apparel Testing & Research Institute, and the results are shown in Table 6. The test conditions were conducted at a temperature of 20±2℃ and a humidity of 40±2% RH. Nylon fabric specified in KS K 0905 was used as the friction cloth, and the fabric was cut into 5cm x 5cm pieces, subjected to rotational friction for 60 seconds, and the triboelectric voltage was measured using a Rotary Static Tester. The results are shown in Table 6.
[0062] As a comparative example, the frictional electrostatic voltage was measured using the same commercially available screen fabric used in the flame retardancy test.
[0063] Frictional electrification voltage (V) Experimental Example 2 445 Comparative Example 2 849
[0064] As can be seen from Table 6, Experimental Example 2 has a triboelectric voltage that is about half the level of Comparative Example 2, indicating excellent antistatic effect, and thus showing that the antistatic effect is relatively superior compared to conventional screen fabrics.
[0065] Long-term safety assessment
[0066] To evaluate the long-term stability of the fabric regarding deodorizing and antibacterial properties, antibacterial and deodorizing properties were evaluated after 60 days, and the results are shown in Table 7.
[0067] antibacterial Deodorization rate Experimental Example 2 99.9 96.1%
[0068] Evaluation of Wear Resistance and Friction Fastness
[0069] Abrasion resistance was evaluated using the knitting test method of KS K-0815, and friction fastness was measured according to AATCC 8 standards, and the results are shown in Table 8. In Table 8, the number of abrasion cycles and friction fastness of Experimental Example 1 are shown together to facilitate comparison with Experimental Example 1 and Comparative Example 1.
[0070] Wear resistance Friction fastness Experimental Example 2 43rd episode Level 4 Experimental Example 1 32nd episode Grade 3 Comparative Example 1 Episode 18 Level 2
[0071] As can be seen from Table 8, it can be seen that the wear resistance and friction fastness of Experimental Example 2 were improved compared to Experimental Example 1.
