Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a double band cable, and more specifically, to a double band cable that allows wiring to be placed on a vehicle body while maintaining a straight path. Background Technology

[0003] Unless otherwise indicated in this specification, the contents described in this identification item are not prior art for the claims of this application, and are not recognized as prior art simply because they are described in this identification item.

[0004] Wiring is connected to various electrical components inside the vehicle, such as switches, relay boxes, and fuse boxes. As the number of electrical components used in vehicles has recently increased, the amount of wiring used is also increasing. Recently, there has been a growing trend in the demand and supply of eco-friendly vehicles, such as hybrid and electric cars, as a measure to overcome global warming and abnormal climate conditions. These eco-friendly vehicles utilize more electrical components and wiring than conventional internal combustion engine vehicles. Wiring must be positioned to prevent short circuits caused by vibrations or shocks that may occur during driving, and to avoid interference with other components that generate high heat. Wiring may be installed in narrow spaces within the vehicle body, and even when installed in such spaces, it must be positioned to prevent short circuits and avoid interference with other components. Furthermore, in sections where wiring is installed, wiring corresponding to a specific length must be positioned so that its path remains in a straight line. Fig. 1 is a diagram illustrating the state of securing wiring using a conventional band cable. As shown in Fig. 1, wiring must be positioned to maintain a straight line shape in the side seal area of the vehicle. To maintain a straight wiring path, the wiring is wrapped in exterior materials such as corrugated or hard tubing and secured with band cables. However, as the added exterior material increases the overall outer diameter of the wiring, the gap between the body panels, trims, and the wiring is reduced. Since wiring is difficult to install within the body without sufficient clearance, labor costs increase and work efficiency decreases. Furthermore, the cost of the wiring increases proportionally to the use of additional exterior materials. Prior art literature

[0026] Since the present invention is characterized by maintaining the wiring path in a straight line and being able to variably adjust the straight path of the wiring, only details related to this will be explained, and descriptions regarding the functions and structure of general band cables will be omitted.

[0027] As illustrated in these drawings, the double band cable (10) according to the present invention is fixed to a body panel and maintains the path of the wiring (W) in a straight line, and can be manufactured from semi-rigid plastic or soft plastic depending on the position where it is installed on the body panel.

[0028] The double band cable (10) of the present invention includes a first band cable (1000) and a second band cable (2000). The first band cable (1000) includes a first anchor portion (1100) that is inserted and fixed to a vehicle body panel, a first strap fixing portion (1200) formed integrally with the first anchor portion (1100) and having a first fastening hole (1210) formed through one side, a first strap portion (1300) formed integrally on the upper part of the first fastening hole (1210), and a first support member (1400) formed integrally on one side wall portion (1202a) among the upper wall portion (1201) and side wall portions (1202) of the first strap fixing portion (1200) that forms the first fastening hole (1210). The second band cable (2000) includes a second anchor portion (2100) that is inserted and fixed to a body panel, a second strap fixing portion (2200) formed integrally with the second anchor portion (2100) and having a second fastening hole (2210) formed through one side, a second strap portion (2300) formed integrally on the upper part of the second fastening hole (2210), and a second support member (2400) formed integrally on one side wall portion (1202a) among the upper wall portion (1201) and side wall portions (1202) of the second strap fixing portion (2200) that forms the second fastening hole (2210). Additionally, the first support member (1400) has an insertion hole (1410) formed in the longitudinal direction, and the second support member (2400) is inserted into and fixed in the insertion hole (1410).

[0029] The first band cable (1000) will be described. The first anchor portion (1100) is inserted and fixed to the body panel and can be coupled to the body panel. The first anchor portion (1100) includes a first anchor body (1110) inserted into a slot hole formed in the body panel, a first hook (1120) formed at one end of the first anchor body (1110) to elastically catch around the slot hole inside the body panel, and a first panel support (1130) formed at the other end of the first anchor body (1110) to be supported around the slot hole outside the body panel. When the first anchor body (1110) is inserted into the slot hole of the body panel, the first hook (1120) is elastically deformed and inserted. After being inserted into the slot hole, the first hook (1120) elastically recovers to its original shape and catches around the slot hole. The first panel support (1130) is formed to be larger than the size of the slot hole, and is caught around the slot hole from the outside of the body panel, thereby limiting the insertion length of the first anchor body (1110) inserted into the slot hole.

[0030] The first strap fixing part (1200), which is formed integrally with the first anchor part (1100), has a wiring (W) seated on its upper surface (2423) and a first strap part (1300) inserted and fixed through it, and a first fastening hole (1210) through which the first strap part (1300) passes is formed. The first fastening hole (1210) is formed by an upper wall part (1201) and side wall parts (1202). The upper wall part (1201) of the first strap fixing part (1200) is the part where the wiring (W) is seated, and the side wall parts (1202) include a one-side wall part (1202a) and a other-side wall part (1202b), and a first support member (1400) is formed integrally on the one-side wall part (1202a). A first fastening projection (not shown in the drawing) is formed on the inner surface of the first fastening hole (1210) to which the first strap portion (1300) is caught and fixed. On the upper surface (2423) of the upper wall portion (1201) of the first strap fixing portion (1200), a first anti-movement projection (1220) may be formed protruding in a predetermined pattern. The first anti-movement projection (1220) can prevent the wiring (W) from moving in the longitudinal direction while seated.

[0031] The first strap portion (1300), formed integrally with the first strap fixing portion (1200), wraps around and directly fixes the wiring (W), and the first fastening groove (1310) that engages with the first fastening projection may be formed in a row along the longitudinal direction. The first strap portion (1300) wraps around the wiring (W) on one side of the first strap fixing portion (1200) and is inserted into the first fastening hole (1210) on the other side of the first strap fixing portion (1200), and is fixed by the first fastening groove (1310) engaging with the first fastening projection. Due to the coupling between the first fastening projection and the first fastening groove (1310), the first strap portion (1300) does not retract in the direction opposite to the insertion direction. The first strap portion (1300) may further include a first folding portion (1320) that can be folded between the first strap fixing portion (1200). The first folding section (1320) induces close contact between the first strap section (1300) and the wiring (W), and includes a curved section that comes into contact with the outer surface of the wiring (W). A first anti-rotation projection (1330) that prevents the wiring (W) from spinning freely may be formed in a predetermined pattern on the curved section. The first anti-rotation projection (1330) comes into contact with the wiring (W) as the first strap section (1300) comes into contact with the wiring (W) and presses the wiring (W).

[0032] A first support member (1400), integrally formed on one side wall (1202a) of a first strap fixing part (1200), maintains the path of the wiring (W) in a straight line, and the wiring (W) is seated on the upper surface (2423). The first support member (1400) can be formed with various lengths as needed. The first support member (1400) may have an insertion hole (1410) into which a second support member (2400) is inserted. The insertion hole (1410) is formed along the length of the first support member (1400). Depending on the insertion length of the second support member (2400) inserted into the insertion hole (1410), the distance between the first band cable (1000) and the second band cable (2000) is adjusted, and at the same time, the path length of the wiring (W) that maintains straightness can be determined.

[0033] An upper fixing hole (1420) communicating with an insertion hole (1410) may be formed through the upper surface of the first support (1400). An upper fixing projection (2420) of the second support (2400), to be described later, is inserted into and caught in the upper fixing hole (1420). A lower fixing hole (1430) communicating with an insertion hole (1410) may be formed through the lower surface of the first support (1400). A lower fixing projection (2430) of the second support, to be described later, is inserted into and caught in the lower fixing hole (1430). The upper fixing hole (1420) and the lower fixing hole (1430) may be formed in multiple numbers at predetermined intervals along the longitudinal direction of the first support (1400). For example, if the length of the first support (1400) is 80 mm, they may be formed spaced apart at intervals of 10 mm. The upper fixing projection (2420) and the lower fixing projection (2430) of the second support (2400) may also be formed at the same interval. Accordingly, a worker performing wiring (W) can visually check (2433) the path length at which the straightness of the wiring (W) is maintained and adjust the path length. In addition, the first support (1400) and the second support (2400) may rotate and be fixed relative to each other. Details regarding this will be explained in the section on the second support (2400).

[0034] Meanwhile, the upper surface of the first support (1400) may be formed to have a concave curved surface so as to be in close contact with the outer surface of the wiring (W). Since the wiring (W) is seated on the upper surface of the first support (1400), the frictional force increases as the contact area between the upper surface of the first support (1400) and the outer surface of the wiring (W) widens, thereby preventing the wiring (W) from spinning loosely and getting twisted.

[0035] The second band cable (2000) will be described. The second anchor portion (2100) is inserted and fixed to the body panel and can be coupled to the body panel. The second anchor portion (2100) includes a second anchor body (2110) inserted into a slot hole formed in the body panel, a second hook (2120) formed at one end of the second anchor body (2110) to be elastically hooked around the slot hole inside the body panel, and a second panel support (2130) formed at the other end of the second anchor body (2110) to be supported around the slot hole outside the body panel. Since the function and structure of the second anchor body (2110), the second hook (2120), and the second panel support (2130) are substantially the same as the first anchor body (1110), the first hook (1120), and the first panel support (1130) described above, a detailed description thereof will be omitted.

[0036] The second strap fixing part (2200), which is formed integrally with the second anchor part (2100), has a wiring (W) seated on its upper surface (2423) and a second strap part (2300) inserted and fixed through it, and a second fastening hole (2210) through which the second strap part (2300) passes is formed. The second fastening hole (2210) is formed by an upper wall part (2201) and side wall parts (2202). The upper wall part (2201) of the second strap fixing part (2200) is the part where the wiring (W) is seated, and the side wall parts (2202) include a one-side wall part (2202a) and a other-side wall part (2202b), and a second support member (2400) is formed integrally on the one-side wall part (2202a). A second fastening projection (not shown in the drawing) is formed on the inner surface of the second fastening hole (2210) to which the second strap portion (2300) is caught and fixed. On the upper surface of the upper wall portion (2201) of the second strap fixing portion (2200), a second anti-movement projection (2220) may be formed protruding in a predetermined pattern. The second anti-movement projection (2220) can prevent the wiring (W) from moving in the longitudinal direction while seated.

[0037] The second strap portion (2300), formed integrally with the second strap fixing portion (2200), wraps around and directly fixes the wiring (W), and may have second fastening grooves (2310) that engage with the second fastening projection formed in rows along the longitudinal direction. The second strap portion (2300) wraps around the wiring (W) from one side of the second strap fixing portion (2200) and is inserted into the second fastening hole (2210) from the other side of the second strap fixing portion (2200), and is fixed by the second fastening grooves (2310) engaging with the second fastening projection. Due to the coupling between the second fastening projection and the second fastening grooves (2310), the second strap portion (2300) does not retract in the direction opposite to the insertion direction. The second strap portion (2300) may further include a second folding portion (2320) that can be folded between the second strap fixing portion (2200). The second folding section (2320) induces close contact between the second strap section (2300) and the wiring (W), and includes a curved section that comes into close contact with the outer surface of the wiring (W). A second anti-rotation projection (2330) that prevents the wiring (W) from spinning freely may be formed in a predetermined pattern on the curved section. The second anti-rotation projection (2330) comes into close contact with the wiring (W) as the second strap section (2300) comes into close contact with the wiring (W) and presses the wiring (W).

[0038] A second support member (2400), integrally formed on one side wall (2202a) of the second strap fixing part (2200), maintains the path of the wiring (W) in a straight line and is inserted into and fixed in the insertion hole (1410) of the first support member (1400). The wiring (W) is seated on the upper surface (2423) of the second support member (2400). More precisely, the wiring (W) is seated on the upper surface (2423) that is exposed to the outside without being inserted into the first support member (1400). The second support member (2400) can be formed with various lengths as needed. Depending on the insertion length of the second support member (2400) inserted into the insertion hole (1410), the distance between the first band cable (1000) and the second band cable (2000) can be adjusted, and the path length of the wiring (W), which maintains straightness, can be determined. The straight path length of the wiring (W) by the first support (1400) and the second support (2400) is a length corresponding to the sum of the length of the first support (1400) and the length of the second support (2400) that is not inserted into the insertion hole (1410) of the first support (1400).

[0039] On the outer surface of the second support member (2400), an upper fixing projection (2420) corresponding to the upper fixing hole (1420) of the first support member (1400) may be formed, and a lower fixing projection (2430) corresponding to the lower fixing hole (1430) of the first support member (1400) may be formed. As described above, the upper fixing projection (2420) is inserted into and engaged with the upper fixing hole (1420), and at the same time, the lower fixing projection (2430) is inserted into and engaged with the lower fixing hole (1430). The upper fixing projection (2420) and the lower fixing projection (2430) may be formed in the same number as the aforementioned upper fixing projection (2420) and lower fixing projection (2430), with equal spacing. For example, if the upper fixing hole (1420) and the lower fixing hole (1430) are formed with a 10mm gap, the upper fixing projection (2420) and the lower fixing projection (2430) may also be formed with a 10mm gap.

[0040] Also, the first support (1400) and the second support (2400) can be rotated relative to each other and fixed. As shown in FIG. 7, the cross-section of the insertion hole (1410) of the first support (1400) may be a rectangle with a horizontal length longer than the vertical length. In this case, the cross-section of the second support (2400) may be a circle with a diameter equal to the vertical length of the cross-section of the insertion hole (1410). An upper fixing projection (2420) and a lower fixing projection (2430) are formed on the outer surface of the second support (2400), and the length from the upper fixing projection (2420) to the lower fixing projection (2430) may be equal to or slightly smaller than the horizontal length of the second support (2400). With the plane direction of the upper wall portion (1201) of the first strap fixing portion (1200) and the plane direction of the upper wall portion (2201) of the second strap fixing portion (2200) being perpendicular to each other, the second support member (2400) is inserted into the insertion hole (1410) of the first support member (1400). It is inserted until the length of the first support member (1400) and the second support member (2400) corresponds to the straight path of the wiring (W). Next, the first support member (1400) and the second support member (2400) are rotated relative to each other so that the plane direction of the upper wall portion (1201) of the first strap fixing part (1200) and the plane direction of the upper wall portion (2201) of the second strap fixing part face the same direction, and accordingly, the upper fixing projection (2420) and the lower fixing projection (2430) are inserted into the upper fixing hole (1420) and the lower fixing hole (1430), respectively, and are fixed. When rotating relative to each other, a part of the upper fixing projection (2420) and a part of the lower fixing projection (2430) may catch on the inner surface of the insertion hole (1410). Therefore, this part may be rounded so that it does not catch. When the upper fixing projection (2420) is inserted into the upper fixing hole (1420), one side (2421) is in contact with the inner surface of the upper fixing hole (1420), and the corner portion of the other side (2422) opposite to this one side (2421) can be caught on the inner surface of the insertion hole (1410).Accordingly, the area where the other side (2422) and the upper surface (2423) of the upper fixing projection (2420) are connected can be rounded so as not to catch on the inner surface of the insertion hole (1410).

[0041] Likewise, the other side (2432) opposite to the one side (2431) that contacts the lower fixing hole (1430) of the lower fixing projection (2430) can be caught on the inner surface of the insertion hole (1410). Accordingly, the area where the other side (2432) of the lower fixing projection (2430) and the lower surface (2433) are connected can be rounded. The lower surface (2433) of the lower fixing projection (2430) refers to the surface facing the vehicle body panel.

[0042] Additionally, the upper surface (2423) of the upper fixing projection (2420) that contacts the wiring (W) can be formed as a concave curved surface so as to be in contact with the outer surface of the wiring (W). As the upper surface (2423) of the upper fixing projection (2420) and the outer surface of the wiring (W) are in close contact, the frictional force between the upper surface (2423) of the upper fixing projection (2420) and the outer surface of the wiring (W) increases, so the wiring (W) can be prevented from spinning freely.

[0043] In addition, the first support (1400) and the second support (2400) can be taped together with the wiring (W). As the first strap portion (1300) wraps around one side of the wiring (W) and the second strap portion (2300) wraps around the other side of the wiring (W), the wiring (W) can be fixed while maintaining a straight path without rotating. Furthermore, the fixing force can be increased by taping the outer surface of the wiring (W) between the first strap portion (1300) and the second strap portion (2300). A tape (T) made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) material can be used for taping. Referring to FIG. 8, the state before and after taping can be observed.

[0044] Below, we will briefly explain the wiring (W) operation sequence in which the double band cable (10) of the present invention maintains the path of the wiring (W) in a straight line and fixes the wiring.

[0045] With the upper wall portion (1201) of the first strap fixing part (1200) and the upper wall portion (2201) of the second strap fixing part (2200) at right angles to each other, the second support member (2400) is inserted into the insertion hole (1410) of the first support member (1400). The first support member (1400) and the second support member (2400) are inserted until they correspond to a straight path of the wiring (W). Then, the first support member (1400) and the second support member (2400) are rotated relative to each other so that the upper wall portion (1201) of the first strap fixing part (1200) and the upper wall portion (2201) of the second strap fixing part (2200) face the same direction. As they rotate relative to each other, the upper fixing projection (2420) and the lower fixing projection (2430) of the second support (2400) are respectively inserted into the upper fixing hole (1420) and the lower fixing hole (1430) of the first support (1400). After placing the wiring (W) on the upper surface (2423) of the first support (1400) and the second support (2400), the wiring (W) is wrapped and secured with the first strap portion (1300) and the second strap portion (2300). Additionally, taping may be applied. Then, the first anchor portion (1100) and the second anchor portion (2100) are inserted into the vehicle body and secured. Depending on the case, the order may be slightly changed, and the length of the second support (2400) inserted into the first support (1400) may be readjusted. The first support (1400) or the second support (2400) can be rotated in the opposite direction and then the inserted length can be readjusted.
