Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a panel joining structure. More specifically, and more specifically, to a flat panel joining structure that includes a joining block for joining with another flat panel (or side panel) based on the cut surface of a flat panel, thereby enabling joining between panels by cutting at the site without complex groove processing.
[0002] Furthermore, the panel coupling structure according to the present invention can simplify the coupling of various flat structures, such as prefabricated walls, furniture frames, and display housings, and improve assembly stability by fastening two or more flat panels at corners where they intersect at right angles to each other via a coupling block. Background Technology
[0004] Architectural structures or interior systems are often formed by combining multiple flat panels, which are manufactured from various materials such as wood, synthetic resins, metal composites, and fiber-reinforced materials. To maintain structural strength and aesthetic precision, the connection between panels generally requires precise positioning control and robust fastening.
[0005] Conventional flat panels primarily used a method of forming grooves or recesses at the ends for such joining and inserting corresponding joining blocks or protrusions to enable sliding fastening. However, this method required precise cutting of the panel ends, making the manufacturing process complex; furthermore, if machining precision was not ensured, problems arose such as reduced joint strength or the occurrence of gaps. Additionally, when the size or thickness of the panel needed to be adjusted according to site conditions, it was difficult to rework panels that had already had their grooves machined, resulting in reduced construction efficiency.
[0006] Since most grooved panels are pre-fabricated and shipped from the factory, assembly is impossible on-site by cutting alone. Consequently, even if the contractor cuts the panels to suit site conditions, the connecting blocks cannot be joined without the use of additional processing equipment, which ultimately prolongs the construction period and increases labor costs. Furthermore, the structurally thinned ends of the grooved sections are vulnerable to external impacts and changes in humidity, making them prone to deformation, lifting, and detachment of the joints over time. These issues not only reduce the lifespan and durability of the panels but also cause unnecessary damage during maintenance and reinstallation.
[0007] Therefore, there is a need for a new type of flat panel joint structure that allows for simple assembly using the cut surface without the need for separate groove processing, enables construction on-site by cutting alone, and maintains stable joint strength even after prolonged use. Prior art literature
[0009] Korean Registered Patent No. 10-1808823 (Combination structure of furniture panels) The problem to be solved
[0010] Accordingly, the present invention has been devised to solve the aforementioned problems and aims to provide a panel joining structure that simplifies the complex processing required during the joining process of flat panels and enables stable joining without precise groove machining.
[0011] The present invention aims to enable the joining of panels without separate processing and to allow for easy assembly and disassembly on-site by inserting and joining a joining block into a cut surface formed by simply cutting the end of a flat panel.
[0012] In addition, the present invention is intended to provide a panel joining structure that minimizes alignment errors of the panels during joining and maintains uniform assembly quality by ensuring that the first and second cut surfaces of the panels are in close contact through the stepped groove and wall surface formed inside the joining block.
[0013] In addition, the present invention aims to suppress deformation of the joint due to temperature changes or humidity fluctuations by interposing a buffer layer or a correction layer between the joint block and the flat panel, and to maintain a stable joint state even during long-term use.
[0014] In addition, the present invention is designed to form a marking section that guides the assembly direction and a guide hole that allows checking the insertion depth on the outer surface of a coupling block, thereby enabling accurate assembly regardless of the installer's skill level and ensuring the convenience of visually checking the coupling state. means of solving the problem
[0016] A panel coupling structure according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a coupling block that is inserted and coupled to the cut surface of a flat panel that is orthogonal to each other, wherein the cut surface is formed such that a core material is exposed, and the cut surface is formed as a first cut surface and a second cut surface, and the first cut surface and the second cut surface are orthogonal to each other. The coupling block comprises a first surface having a first stepped groove into which the first cut surface is inserted and a first wall surface formed on the inner side of the first stepped groove and in close contact with the first cut surface; and a second surface having a second stepped groove into which the second cut surface is inserted and a second wall surface formed on the inner side of the second stepped groove and in close contact with the second cut surface. A third surface is provided with a first insertion groove formed in a position opposite to the second surface and communicating with the second wall surface so as to be inserted and coupled with a side plate, which is another panel, and a first partition wall formed in the central part of the first insertion groove, thereby dividing the space into a first space and a second space, wherein a first through hole is formed in a part of the first partition wall so as to communicate with each other between the first space and the second space; and a fourth surface is provided with a second through hole formed in a position opposite to the first surface through which a plurality of first fastening screws pass in the direction of the flat panel, and a second partition wall extended by a predetermined length from one side of the second through hole toward the third surface to fix an opening / closing member that opens / closes the second through hole, wherein a fixing hole is formed in the second partition wall to fix the opening / closing member by the second fastening screw.
[0017] In the first wall surface, a plurality of screw holes may be formed so that a plurality of first fastening screws penetrating through the second through hole pass through the first through hole and are coupled to the flat panel.
[0018] Among the inner surfaces of the first stepped groove and the second stepped groove, in the area in contact with the outer surface of the first cut surface and the second cut surface, a fine protrusion pattern may be formed to increase the frictional force with the inner surface to which the end of the flat panel contacts, or an uneven surface processing or roughness processing may be performed.
[0019] An elastic resin layer, a silicone buffer layer, or a correction layer for compensating for expansion and contraction due to changes in heat and humidity is interposed in the contact area between the first and second cut surfaces of the flat panel and the first and second wall surfaces of the bonding block, thereby preventing separation caused by external vibration and external impact, and suppressing bonding deformation caused by temperature changes.
[0020] The above-mentioned coupling block may include a finishing cover attached to the exposed surface of the coupling block to protect the appearance and improve visual identification.
[0021] The above-mentioned finishing cover may be made of a decorative layer with a pattern, a fluorescent material, or a reflective material.
[0022] A finishing cover may be detachably attached to the outer side of the above-mentioned coupling block to conceal the surface of the coupling block and protect its appearance.
[0023] The above-described coupling block may further include a marking portion on the outer surface for guiding the insertion direction when assembling the flat panel; and a guide hole formed on the outer surface to allow visual confirmation of the insertion depth when assembling the flat panel.
[0024] The above display portion may be formed close to the above fourth surface.
[0025] The guide hole is formed close to the first surface and can communicate with the first stepped groove. Effects of the invention
[0027] The panel joining structure of the present invention enables rapid and stable joining of panels without performing complex groove machining processes by inserting and joining a joining block into a cut surface formed by simply cutting the end of a flat panel. Accordingly, the manufacturing process is simplified, production efficiency is improved, and since assembly is possible at the construction site by cutting alone, working time and labor costs can be significantly reduced.
[0028] In addition, since the first and second cut surfaces of the cut panels are precisely in close contact through the stepped groove and wall structure inside the joint block, uniform assembly quality can be secured without separate correction for processing errors. Accordingly, gaps or lifting of the joint are prevented, and a stable joint state can be maintained even during prolonged use.
[0029] In addition, the elastic resin layer, silicone buffer layer, or correction layer interposed between the bonding block and the flat panel absorbs external shocks or vibrations and mitigates expansion and contraction caused by changes in temperature and humidity, thereby preventing deformation of the bonding part. This improves the durability and reliability of the bonding structure and prevents quality degradation even during long-term use of the panel.
[0030] In addition, the markings and guide holes formed on the outer surface of the connecting block allow for clear recognition of the assembly direction and insertion depth, enabling even unskilled workers to perform assembly with accurate positional alignment. Consequently, construction convenience and work efficiency are improved, and visual verifiability is ensured, allowing the assembly status to be checked immediately with the naked eye.
[0031] In addition, the finishing cover installed on the exposed surface of the joint block can protect the exterior, improve aesthetics by providing a sense of visual unity through color or pattern, and protect the joint from external contamination or impact.
[0032] Accordingly, the present invention can provide an unprocessed flat panel assembly structure that can improve manufacturing efficiency, constructability, durability, and appearance quality based on a simple structure in which the groove processing process is eliminated.
[0033] The effects of the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned effects will be clearly understood by a person skilled in the art from the description below. Brief explanation of the drawing

[0041] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 9, a panel coupling structure (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a coupling block (100) that is inserted and coupled to the cut surface of a flat panel (P).
[0042] A flat panel (P) is made of a plate having a predetermined thickness and contains a core material inside. The ends of the flat panel (P) are cut to form a cut surface (Pa, Pb) in which the core material is exposed to the outside, and the cut surface (Pa, Pb) may be formed as a first cut surface (Pa) and a second cut surface (Pb).
[0043] The first cutting surface (Pa) and the second cutting surface (Pb) are formed to be orthogonal to each other, thereby forming a cutting reference plane that extends in two directions along the edge of the flat panel (P).
[0044] At this time, the cut surface (Pa, Pb) of the flat panel (P) can be cut to correspond to the depth and width of the stepped groove (111, 121) of the coupling block (100), and the size and shape of the cut flat panel (P) can be formed to correspond to the overall size of the coupling block (100). That is, the cut length, width, and thickness of the flat panel (P) are cut to correspond precisely to the dimensions of the insertion groove of the coupling block (100), so that the coupling block (100) and the flat panel (P) interlock without gap.
[0045] The cut surface (Pa, Pb) of the flat panel (P) can be formed to have a constant insertion clearance (e.g., 0.2 mm or less) with respect to the insertion direction of the coupling block (100), which is intended to accommodate dimensional changes due to thermal expansion or moisture absorption during assembly. Through this, the coupling block (100) can be accurately inserted by cutting alone without complex processing steps, and precision assembly is possible on-site by simply cutting.
[0046] In addition, the cut surfaces (Pa, Pb) of the flat panel (P) can provide a structural standard for the insertion and connection of the connecting block (100), and the rigidity of the entire structure can be secured by precisely connecting the cut surfaces (Pa, Pb) of the flat panel (P) and the connecting block (100) to each other.
[0047] The coupling block (100) forms a rectangular main body and is formed to be inserted and coupled to the cut surfaces (Pa, Pb) of the flat panel (P). In the following description, 'first surface', 'second surface', 'third surface', and 'fourth surface' refer to surfaces corresponding to the direction of the first cut surface (Pa) of the flat panel (P), the direction of the second cut surface (Pb), the lateral direction to which other panels are coupled, and the rear direction to which fastening screws are inserted, respectively.
[0048] The connecting block (100) can be manufactured by injection molding or machining, and the main material may be an aluminum alloy, reinforced polyamide resin, polycarbonate composite material, etc. Through this, impact resistance and heat resistance can be secured simultaneously.
[0049] A first stepped groove (111) into which a first cut surface (Pa) of a flat panel (P) is inserted is formed on the first surface (110) of the coupling block (100), and a first wall surface (112) that is in close contact with the first cut surface (Pa) of the flat panel (P) is formed on the inner side of the first stepped groove (111). The first wall surface (112) precisely contacts the first cut surface (Pa) of the flat panel (P) to fix the position during coupling and guides the insertion direction of the cut surface (Pa, Pb).
[0050] A second stepped groove (121) into which a second cut surface (Pb) of a flat panel (P) is inserted is formed on the second surface (120) of the coupling block (100), and a second wall surface (122) that is in close contact with the second cut surface (Pb) of the flat panel (P) is formed on the inner side of the second stepped groove (121). The second wall surface (122) maintains vertical alignment when the second cut surface (Pb) of the flat panel (P) is inserted and performs the function of improving the bonding strength between the cut surface (Pa, Pb) and the coupling block (100).
[0051] The first step groove (111) and the second step groove (121) are formed to communicate with each other at the corner portions of the connecting block (100), and an arc or rounded transition surface is formed at the mutual connection portion so that stress concentration or material damage can be prevented when the two step grooves (111, 121) meet at a right angle.
[0052] Based on FIGS. 1 and 2, the first step groove (111) defines a horizontal insertion space into which the first cut surface (Pa) of the flat panel (P) is inserted, and the second step groove (121) defines a vertical insertion space into which the second cut surface (Pb) of the flat panel (P) is inserted, so that the two step grooves (111, 121) can be partitioned according to their function of supporting each cut surface (Pa, Pb) while forming a continuous space with each other.
[0053] A first insertion groove (131) is formed on the third surface (130) of the coupling block (100) so that a side plate, which is another panel, can be inserted and coupled. A first partition (132) is formed in the central part of the first insertion groove (131) to divide it into a first space (131a) and a second space (131b), and a first through hole (132') is formed in a part of the first partition (132) so that the first space (131a) and the second space (131b) communicate with each other. Due to this structure, the first insertion groove (131) has spaces on both sides formed in a balanced manner, ensuring insertion stability during coupling, and allowing the flat panel (P) and the other panel to be integrated through the coupling block (100).
[0054] A second through hole (141) is formed in the fourth side (140) of the coupling block (100) through which a plurality of first fastening screws pass in the direction of the flat panel (P). On one side of the second through hole (141), a second partition (142) is formed extending a predetermined length in the direction of the third side (130), and a fixing hole (142') is formed in the second partition (142) to fix an opening / closing member (not shown) by the second fastening screw. The opening / closing member is structured to open and close the second through hole (141), thereby concealing the fastening part of the coupling block (100) and preventing external exposure, thereby protecting the appearance after assembly.
[0055] Multiple first and second fastening screws can all be inserted and fastened from the outside of the coupling block (100) through an external device, and the two screws may be configured to have the same specifications. The first fastening screw is fastened in the direction of the cut surface (Pa, Pb) of the flat panel (P), and the second fastening screw is fastened in the direction of fixing the opening / closing member, thereby forming fastening axes that are orthogonal to each other.
[0056] Specifically, using an external fastening device such as an electric screwdriver, a torque wrench, or a manual tool, a screw inserted into the interior of the coupling block (100) through the second through hole (141) and the fixing hole (142') can be fastened in the direction of the cut surface (Pa, Pb) of the flat panel (P) or the fixing direction of the opening / closing member.
[0057] When performing fastening operations, the fastening torque can be set to a range of 0.4 to 0.8 N·m to prevent material deformation and maintain a constant clamping force.
[0058] Accordingly, since the joining of the flat panel (P) by the first fastening screw and the fixing of the opening / closing member by the second fastening screw are both performed from the outside, the fastening operation can be completed without damaging the internal space. In addition, by using an external device to maintain a constant fastening torque, the fastening strength between the joining block (100) and the flat panel (P) and the fixing force of the opening / closing member can be uniformly secured.
[0059] A plurality of screw holes (112') may be formed in the first wall surface (112) of the coupling block (100) so that a plurality of first fastening screws passing through the second through hole (141) are inserted and fastened to the flat panel (P). These screw holes (112') firmly fix the coupling block (100) to the cut surface (Pa, Pb) of the flat panel (P), thereby preventing detachment from the coupling or loosening due to vibration even during long-term use.
[0060] A surface structure to improve frictional force may be formed in the area of the inner surface of the first step groove (111) and the second step groove (121) of the coupling block (100) that contacts the outer surface of the first cut surface (Pa) and the second cut surface (Pb) of the flat panel (P). Specifically, a fine protrusion pattern (not shown) may be formed on the inner surface of the first step groove (111) and the second step groove (121), or an uneven surface processing or roughness processing may be performed. Such a structure can strengthen the coupling force so that the flat panel (P) does not detach even with minute vibrations or temperature changes after being inserted into the coupling block (100).
[0061] Between the first cut surface (Pa) and the second cut surface (Pb) of the flat panel (P) and the first wall surface (112) and the second wall surface (122) of the bonding block (100), an elastic resin layer, a silicone buffer layer, or a correction layer (not shown) for compensating for expansion and contraction due to changes in heat and humidity may be interposed. This correction layer can disperse stress on the bonding part and absorb damage caused by external impact to prevent deformation of the bonding part. In addition, it can maintain bonding stability by compensating for the difference in expansion between materials due to temperature changes. The correction layer can be maintained by press-fit bonding without adhesive, and is formed with a thickness of 0.2 mm to 0.5 mm to effectively absorb deformation due to temperature changes.
[0062] A finishing cover may be detachably attached to the outer side of the coupling block (100) to improve appearance protection and visual identification. The finishing cover is attached to the exposed surface of the coupling block (100) and may be made of a decorative layer with a pattern formed thereon, a fluorescent material, or a reflective material. The finishing cover can conceal the surface of the coupling block (100) to maintain a uniform appearance and can protect the coupling part from external impact, moisture, and contamination.
[0063] In addition, the end cover is formed using a snap-on or magnetic attachment method, allowing for tool-free attachment and easy maintenance.
[0064] On the outer surface of the coupling block (100), a mark (150) for guiding the insertion direction when assembling a flat panel (P) may be formed, and a guide hole (160) for visually checking the insertion depth of the flat panel (P) may be further formed.
[0065] The display portion (150) is formed close to the fourth surface (140) of the coupling block (100) to visually guide the assembly direction of the flat panel (P), and the guide hole (160) is formed close to the first surface (110) of the coupling block (100) to communicate with the first stepped groove (111). A depth-indicating color layer is applied inside the guide hole (160), so that the color changes when the flat panel (P) is fully inserted. This allows for intuitive verification of whether the assembly is complete.
[0066] The unprocessed flat panel coupling structure (10) of the present invention, having such a configuration, can achieve a precise and robust coupling without complex groove processing by inserting and coupling a coupling block (100) into the cut surface (Pa, Pb) of the flat panel (P). In addition, the coupling state is stably maintained even with temperature changes or vibrations due to the cushioning layer, the appearance quality is improved by the finishing cover, and the assembly efficiency of the installer is improved through the display part (150) and guide hole (160).
[0067] Furthermore, the present invention is designed so that the cutting dimensions of a flat panel (P) correspond to the shape of a connecting block (100), thereby providing compatibility that allows panels of various dimensions to be installed on-site using the same connecting block (100).
[0068] Accordingly, the present invention provides an unprocessed flat panel combined structure (10) that can improve manufacturing efficiency, construction convenience, durability, and appearance quality.
[0070] A panel coupling structure (10) according to another embodiment of the present invention has the same basic configuration as a coupling block (100) that is inserted and coupled to a cut surface (Pa, Pb) of a flat panel (P), but can be configured to improve assembly stability, vibration reduction, maintainability, and assembly convenience by changing the internal structure and external auxiliary configuration of the coupling block (100).
[0071] The flat panel (P) is made of a plate having a predetermined thickness, in the same manner as in the preceding embodiment, and at the end, a first cutting surface (Pa) and a second cutting surface (Pb) are formed so as to be orthogonal to each other to form the cutting surfaces (Pa, Pb). At this time, the cutting surfaces (Pa, Pb) of the flat panel (P) are cut to correspond to the depth and width of the stepped grooves (111, 121) of the coupling block (100), so that the size of the cut end can be formed to precisely match the stepped grooves (111, 121) of the coupling block (100).
[0072] Therefore, insertion alignment is possible without separate processing error correction during joining, and the joining block (100) can be accurately inserted by cutting only at the site.
[0073] The cut surface (Pa, Pb) can form a reference surface when the coupling block (100) is inserted, and in this embodiment, a guide groove (not shown) may be additionally formed in a part of the interior of the cut surface (Pa, Pb). This guide groove corresponds to a rib (not shown) formed in the stepped groove (111, 121) of the coupling block (100), so that the panel is automatically aligned when inserted. Therefore, the insertion direction and depth of the cut surface (Pa, Pb) can be maintained consistently without a separate guide device.
[0074] The coupling block (100) is formed with a rectangular main body and has a first stepped groove (111) and a second stepped groove (121) into which a first cut surface (Pa) and a second cut surface (Pb) are respectively inserted. In this embodiment, an elastic member (not shown) may be inserted into a portion of the inner surface of the first stepped groove (111) and the second stepped groove (121) of the coupling block (100). This elastic member is composed of a compression part made of spring material, so that when a flat panel (P) is inserted, it is automatically pressed and returns to press the cut surfaces (Pa, Pb). Through this, a fine gap between the coupling block (100) and the flat panel (P) is eliminated, so that a certain level of fixing force can be maintained even without using fastening screws. This structure is particularly useful in structures that require repeated attachment and detachment or maintenance work.
[0075] A sliding lock (not shown) may be formed longitudinally along the insertion portion inside the coupling block (100). The sliding lock may be controlled by an operating handle operable from the outside of the coupling block (100), and when the flat panel (P) is fully inserted, it automatically moves to a locked position to compress the cut surface (Pa, Pb). This structure allows the locking operation to be performed by hand without a separate tool, thereby increasing assembly efficiency during on-site construction. Once the lock is complete, the spring inside the lock maintains tension, preventing loosening caused by vibration.
[0076] In this embodiment, the outer surface of the coupling block (100) may be formed with a double structure. The inner layer is formed of reinforced plastic to provide structural rigidity, and the outer layer is composed of a silicone-based elastic coating layer to prevent damage from external impact or friction. This coating layer has fine irregularities formed thereon, so that it can perform the function of absorbing vibrations and reducing noise when in contact with an adjacent panel.
[0077] Additionally, a color-changing indicator (not shown) for indicating the insertion direction and the assembly completion status may be applied to the outer surface of the coupling block (100). The color-changing indicator is configured to change color upon assembly completion, so that when the flat panel (P) is fully inserted, the outer color of the color-changing indicator changes from red to black. This structure can be implemented through a simple electrical contact structure or a pressure-sensing film embedded inside the coupling block (100). Through this, the installer can immediately check the assembly status without separate measuring equipment.
[0078] A finishing cover (not shown) is attached to the outer surface of the coupling block (100) as in the previous embodiment, but in this embodiment, a sound-absorbing pad (not shown) and a vibration-damping sheet (not shown) may be additionally attached to the inner surface of the finishing cover. The sound-absorbing pad absorbs fine resonance sound that may occur at the joint between the coupling block (100) and the flat panel (P), and the vibration-damping sheet can minimize the transmission of vibrations of the structure (10).
[0079] Therefore, the panel coupling structure (10) of the present embodiment can be used more stably in indoor spaces, exhibition facilities, or noise-sensitive environments.
[0080] Additionally, the end cover is formed to be detachable so that it can be easily separated for maintenance. Small elastic protrusions (not shown) are formed on both sides of the cover, so that it is secured to the outer groove (not shown) of the coupling block (100) by simply pressing it with a hand, and can be separated without a tool. Through this structure, the operator can easily check the coupling state, perform internal cleaning, replace the correction layer, etc.
[0081] A fine air layer for vibration absorption can be formed between the contact surface of the coupling block (100) and the flat panel (P), along with a silicone buffer layer (not shown). The buffer layer is composed of a microporous silicone sheet and absorbs shock by gradually releasing internal air when the panel is inserted. Accordingly, collision noise is minimized during coupling, and even if a positional error occurs during assembly, automatic alignment can be achieved.
[0082] According to this configuration, the panel joining structure (10) of the present embodiment can further improve joining strength and assembly stability by adding an elastic compression part and an automatic locking part inside, while maintaining the basic principle that joining is possible using only the cut surfaces (Pa, Pb) without groove processing. In addition, through a color-changing display part and a dustproof cover, the assembly accuracy and completeness of the installer can be improved, and noise reduction and maintenance convenience can be simultaneously ensured.
[0083] Accordingly, another embodiment of the present invention provides a high-performance panel coupling structure (10) in which the cutting surface (Pa, Pb) is precisely cut to correspond to the size of the coupling block (100) and automatic locking, shock absorption, and visual display functions are integrated, thereby significantly improving on-site construction efficiency and durability.
