[0003] A vehicle AV system (Audio Visual system) refers to an audiovisual system for vehicles equipped with not only a car audio system but also video systems such as TVs and video players.

[0004] Such AV systems are typically installed on the instrument panel located next to the driver's seat to provide convenience to passengers inside the vehicle by playing sound and video or receiving radio.

[0005] The above AV system consists of a button section that can be pressed by a driver or passenger, and a lighting device is arranged at the rear of the button section so that when it gets dark, light is shone on the button section so that the user can identify it.

[0006] Meanwhile, in the case of luxury vehicles, a sensor is formed at the bottom of the button section to detect the hand of the driver or passenger operating the AV system.

[0007] The detection unit detects a user's hand approaching the button to operate the AV system and causes light to be shone on the corresponding button.

[0008] As a result, the sensor unit evokes a luxurious sensibility in the AV system.

[0009] However, generally, the sensing unit is positioned below the button unit as a component forming the AV system.

[0010] Therefore, the overall size of the AV system inevitably increases, and as a result, there is a problem in that the AV system occupies a significant amount of space in the instrument panel where it is mounted.

[0011] In addition, the sensor unit is exposed to the outside of the instrument cluster, which reduces the luxurious feel of the vehicle's interior.

[0046] FIG. 1 is a front view showing a vehicle AV system according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along A-A' shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 are operation diagrams showing the operating state of a button structure of a vehicle AV system according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of a button structure of a vehicle AV system according to another embodiment of the present invention.

[0047] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 5, a button structure of a vehicle AV system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a front panel (100), a screen section (200), a button section (300), a switch (500), a lighting section, a lighting section (600), and a PCB (700: PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD).

[0048] The front panel (100) forms the body of the vehicle AV system and is mainly equipped with a button section (300), and accommodates various components such as a switch (500), a lighting section (600), and a PCB (700).

[0049] This front panel (100) includes a mounting hole (110), a connecting part (120), and a guide part (130).

[0050] The mounting holes (110) are formed on the front of the front panel (100) in the direction of the vehicle interior and are made up of multiple holes.

[0051] And, a plurality of button parts (300) are each mounted in the mounting hole (110).

[0052] Meanwhile, the mounting hole (110) is formed with an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the button part (300).

[0053] Accordingly, a button part (300) can be easily mounted in the mounting hole (110) and can be exposed from the front panel (100) toward the interior of the vehicle through the mounting hole (110).

[0054] The connecting portion (120) extends from the rear of the front panel (100) toward the engine room of the vehicle.

[0055] And, the connecting part (120) is preferably positioned on the upper part of the mounting hole (110).

[0056] A sensing part (400) is connected to this connecting part (120).

[0057] The guide section (130) is formed inside the front panel (100) and guides the direction of light irradiated from the lighting section (600).

[0058] A button part (300) is rotatably coupled to this guide part (130).

[0059] The screen unit (200) is an output unit that displays AV system-related information so that the driver can easily recognize necessary information visually, is positioned on the upper part of the front panel (100), and receives output signals from the outside to output various information.

[0060] The button section (300) is composed of multiple parts and is each accommodated inside a mounting hole (110) composed of multiple parts on the front of the front panel (100).

[0061] In addition, the button unit (300) allows the driver or passenger to operate it to control the volume of an AV system, such as an audio or CD player, mounted on the center fascia inside the vehicle, turn the power on / off and tune the frequency, and control the cooling and heating of the air conditioning system so that the vehicle can be driven in a comfortable state.

[0062] This button part (300) includes a body part (310) and a rotation axis (320).

[0063] The body part (310) forms the body of the button part (300) and is mounted in each of the multiple mounting holes (110).

[0064] And, the outer diameter of the body part (310) is smaller than the inner diameter of the mounting hole (110).

[0065] Accordingly, the body part (310) can be easily mounted in the mounting hole (110) and can be exposed from the front panel (100) toward the interior of the vehicle through the mounting hole (110).

[0066] This body part (310) includes a flat part (311), a pressing part (315), and a pressing part (313).

[0067] The flat portion (311) is formed in the upper region of the body portion (310), and the sensing portion (400) is attached to the rear in the direction of the engine room.

[0068] To this end, a through hole (312) is formed in the upper part of the flat portion (311) to which a sensing portion (400) can be coupled.

[0069] The pressing portion (313) is formed in the lower region of the flat portion (311) in the body portion (310) and extends downward from the flat portion (311).

[0070] And, the pressing part (313) allows the driver or passenger to control the volume of the AV system inside the vehicle, power on / off and frequency tuning, and the cooling and heating of the air conditioning system by pressing it.

[0071] And, the pressing portion (313) has a surface facing the interior of the vehicle that protrudes more than the surface facing the interior of the flat portion (311).

[0072] That is, generally, when a driver or passenger operates the button part (300), pressure is applied from the top to the bottom direction. As described above, the pressing part (313) of the present invention has a surface facing the interior of the vehicle that protrudes more than the surface facing the interior of the flat part (311), so that the driver or passenger can easily press the pressing part (313).

[0073] In particular, the pressing part (313) has a surface facing the interior of the vehicle that protrudes more than the surface facing the interior of the flat part (311), so that when the driver or passenger presses the pressing part (313), the sensing part (400) fixed to the flat part (311) can effectively detect the driver or passenger's hand even if the driver or passenger's hand moves downward.

[0074] Meanwhile, a display part (314) is formed on the pressing part.

[0075] The display unit (314) preferably displays various information of the vehicle, such as volume control, power ON / OFF and frequency tuning of AVN devices such as audio or CD players mounted on the center fascia inside the vehicle, and control of cooling and heating of the air conditioning system so that the vehicle can be driven in a comfortable state, and the various information of the vehicle can be identified by light emitted from the lighting unit (600).

[0076] The pressurizing part (315) is extended from the rear of the pressing part (313), so that when the driver or passenger presses the pressing part (313) and the body part (310) rotates around the rotation axis (320), the pressurizing part (315) extended from the rear of the pressing part (313) presses the switch (500).

[0077] The rotation axis (320) is formed at the rear of the body part (310) and rotatably fixes the body part (310) to the guide part (130).

[0078] As a result, the body part (310) can be easily rotated from the mounting hole (110) of the front panel (100) by the rotation axis (320).

[0079] Meanwhile, it is obvious that an elastic member, such as a torsion spring, is formed on the rotation shaft (320) so that the body part (310) can return to its original state after the driver or passenger presses the pressing part (313).

[0080] The sensing unit (400) is composed of multiple units and is each housed inside the front panel (100) to correspond to the button unit (300), and preferably emits infrared rays to detect the user's hand.

[0081] That is, the detection unit (400) is preferably composed of an infrared sensor.

[0082] And, the detection unit (400) is positioned behind the button unit (300) inside the front panel (100).

[0083] Therefore, the sensing unit (400) can block exposure from the instrument to the outside.

[0084] As a result, the sensing unit (400) can increase the luxurious feel of the vehicle interior.

[0085] This sensing unit (400) includes a prism (440), a light-emitting unit (410), a support (420), and a light-receiving unit (430).

[0086] The prism (440) is coupled to the through hole (312) of the planar portion (311) forming the body portion (310) and disperses infrared rays emitted from the light-emitting portion (410).

[0087] That is, the prism (440) disperses infrared rays emitted from the light-emitting part (410) over a wide range, so as to effectively detect the position of a driver or passenger's hand near the button part (300) to control volume, power on / off and frequency tuning of the AV system inside the vehicle, and the cooling and heating of the air conditioning system.

[0088] The light-emitting part (410) is connected to the rear of the prism (440) in the direction of the engine room inside the housing.

[0089] And, the light-emitting part (410) emits infrared rays toward the front, which is the direction of the vehicle interior.

[0090] That is, the light-emitting part (410) is coupled to the rear of the prism (440) and emits infrared rays forward, so that the infrared rays are emitted toward the prism (440).

[0091] The support member (420) is positioned behind the prism (440) and the light-emitting part (410) and is fixed to the coupling part (120) formed on the front panel (100).

[0092] And, a light receiving part (430) is attached to the support (420) so that the light receiving part (430) can be fixed to the front panel (100).

[0093] The light receiving unit (430) is coupled to the support (420) and receives infrared rays emitted from the light emitting unit (410) that are reflected back to the driver or passenger's hand.

[0094] These light receiving parts (430) are connected to a support (420) and placed inside the front panel (100).

[0095] That is, the prism (440) and the light-emitting part (410) forming the sensing part (400) of the present invention are coupled to the button part (300), and the light-receiving part (430) forming the sensing part (400) is coupled to the front panel (100).

[0096] And, the light receiving unit (430) is positioned at a distance from the light emitting unit (410).

[0097] As a result, the light receiving unit (430) can minimize the loss of infrared light when the infrared light emitted from the light emitting unit (410) returns.

[0098] These light receiving parts (430) are aligned with the light emitting part (410) and the prism (440) when the driver or passenger does not press the button part (300), that is, when the button part (300) is not rotated around the rotation axis (320).

[0099] Conversely, when the driver or passenger presses the button unit (300) and the button unit (300) rotates around the rotation axis (320), the light-emitting unit (410) and the prism (440) move away from the light-receiving unit (430).

[0100] At this time, the detection unit (400) detects the hand of the driver or passenger when the button unit (300) is not pressed, that is, when the button unit (300) is not rotated, so that the button unit (300) is rotated and the light-emitting unit (410) is positioned on the same line as the light-receiving unit (430), so there is no problem with the function of the detection unit (400) of the present invention.

[0101] The switch (500) is mounted on a PCB (700) having an electrical circuit formed inside the front panel (100), and turns ON / OFF depending on whether the pressing part (315) is pressed by the rotation of the button part (300).

[0102] And, the switch (500) detects whether the pressurizing part (315) is pressurized and transmits the signal to the PCB (700).

[0103] The lighting unit (600) is a light source that emits light, preferably mounted on a PCB (700) inside the front panel (100) and emits light toward the display unit (314) of the button unit (300).

[0104] That is, light emitted from the lighting unit (600) passes through the display unit (314) so that various information of the vehicle displayed on the display unit (314) can be easily identified.

[0105] Here, if the lighting unit (600) can emit light toward the button unit (300), it is also possible to use an LED (LIGHT EMITTING DIODE), LCD (LIQUID CRYSTAL CLASSIFICATION), a light bulb, etc.

[0106] The PCB (700) is equipped with a switch (500) and a lighting unit (600), and since this is a known technology, a detailed description is omitted to avoid obscuring the essence of the invention.

[0108] Meanwhile, a smog layer (800) may be formed on the button portion (300) according to another embodiment of the present invention.

[0109] The smog layer (800) is coupled to a position corresponding to the detection part (400) in the button part (300), thereby blocking the detection part (400) from being exposed to the outside.

[0110] And, the smog layer (800) is made of the same color as the front of the button part (300).

[0111] As a result, the smog layer (800) can increase the luxurious feel of the vehicle interior.

[0113] Hereinafter, a method for operating a vehicle AV system according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described.

[0114] FIGS. 6 to 10 are schematic diagrams illustrating a method of operating a vehicle AV system according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0115] To help understand the method of operation of a vehicle AV system according to an embodiment of the present invention, the screen unit (200) forming the AV system is described as an example when the navigation currently in operation is in use.

[0116] First, as shown in FIG. 6, when navigation is in use on the screen unit (200), if the user's hand is not detected by the detection unit (400), that is, if the user's hand is far from the detection unit (400), the display unit (314) formed on the multiple button unit (300) is turned off, and navigation is displayed on the screen unit (200).

[0117] That is, the screen section (200) displays the last operating information.

[0118] And, as shown in FIG. 7, when the user's hand is about 15 cm close to the detection unit (400), the display unit (314) is lit, and menus (900) corresponding to a plurality of button units (300) are displayed on the screen unit (200).

[0119] For example, light from the display unit (314) is shone on a plurality of button units (300), that is, button units (300) that operate maps, navigation, radio, media, etc., respectively, and menus (900) indicating maps, navigation, radio, media, etc. are displayed on the screen unit (200).

[0120] Next, as illustrated in FIG. 8, when the user's hand is about 10 cm close to the detection unit (400), the display unit (314) of the first button unit (300_1) closest to the user's hand among the multiple button units (300) and the second button unit (300_2) on both sides close to the first button unit (300_1) is illuminated, and the first menu (900_1) and the second menu (900_2) corresponding to the first button unit (300_1) and the second button unit (300_2), respectively, are enlarged and displayed on the screen unit (200).

[0121] For example, when the user's hand is close to the radio button section (300) among the multiple button sections (300), the display section (314) of the radio button section (300), the navigation button section (300) and the media button section (300) close to the radio button section (300) are lit, and the display section (314) of the map button section (300) is turned off.

[0122] And on the screen section (200), a first menu (900_1) indicating radio and a second menu (900_2) indicating navigation and media are each enlarged and displayed.

[0123] And, when the user's hand position is close to the navigation button part (300), the first menu (900_1) can be the menu (900) pointing to the navigation.

[0124] Here, the first menu (900_1) is larger than the second menu (900_2).

[0125] As a result, the user can clearly identify which menu (900) they want to point to.

[0126] Next, as illustrated in FIG. 9, when the user's hand is about 5 cm close to the radio button section (300) among the multiple button sections (300), only the display section (314) of the third button section (300_3) closest to the user's hand among the multiple button sections (300) is illuminated, and the third menu (900_3) corresponding to the third button section (300_3) is enlarged and displayed on the screen section (200).

[0127] For example, when the user's hand is close to the radio button section (300) among the multiple button sections (300), only the display section (314) of the radio button section (300) is lit.

[0128] And on the screen (200), a third menu (900_3) pointing to the radio is displayed in an enlarged manner.

[0129] Here, the third menu (900_3) is larger than the first menu (900_1).

[0130] As a result, the user can clearly identify which menu (900) they want to select.

[0131] Next, as illustrated in FIG. 10, when the user's hand presses the button portion (300), a function corresponding to the button portion (300) is displayed on the screen portion (200).

[0132] For example, when the user's hand presses the radio button section (300), the screen section (200) switches from navigation to radio mode.

[0133] As described above, in the button structure of the vehicle AV system of the present invention, the interior-direction surface of the pressing part (313) protrudes more than the interior-direction surface of the flat part (311), so that the driver or passenger can easily press the pressing part (313).

[0134] In particular, even if the driver or passenger's hand moves downward, the detection unit (400) fixed to the flat portion (311) can effectively detect the driver or passenger's hand.

[0135] In addition, the detection unit (400) is positioned behind the button unit (300) inside the front panel (100) and is blocked from being exposed to the outside from the instrument, thereby increasing the luxurious feel of the vehicle interior.
