Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present disclosure relates to the field of communications, and more specifically to a method for transmitting information, a communication device, a computer-readable storage medium, and a chip. Background Technology

[0002] The 802.11 standard for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) systems is evolving from 802.11a / b / g to 802.11n, 802.11ac, 802.11ax, and 802.11be. The 802.11ax standard is referred to as High Efficiency (HE), the 802.11be standard as Extremely High Throughput (EHT), and standards following 802.11be are indicated as EHT+.

[0003] When transmitting a data frame to a station, the current access point informs the station of the resource unit to be occupied for transmitting an acknowledgment frame through resource unit allocation. However, as the bandwidth of available channels expands, the station cannot determine the specific channel through which the acknowledgment frame is transmitted in the current solution. This solution is not perfect.

[0004] An embodiment of the present application provides a solution for a receiving device to accurately transmit an acknowledgment frame.

[0005] According to the first aspect, a method for transmitting information is provided. The method comprises: a receiving device receives a data frame from a transmitting device. The data frame occupies a transmission resource block and includes RU allocation information. The receiving device determines an acknowledgment resource block based on the transmission resource block and the RU allocation information. The receiving device transmits an acknowledgment frame for the data frame to the transmitting device on the acknowledgment resource block.

[0006] As such, in this embodiment of the present disclosure, the receiving device determines an acknowledgment resource block for transmitting an acknowledgment frame based on the transmission resource block and RU allocation information, so the receiving device can accurately transmit the acknowledgment frame, thereby ensuring information transmission efficiency.

[0007] In some embodiments of the first aspect, determining a response resource block based on transmission resource block and RU allocation information includes: determining a response channel based on a preset rule if the bandwidth of the transmission resource block is greater than a bandwidth threshold; and determining a response resource block based on the response channel and RU allocation information.

[0069] Embodiments of the present disclosure are described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Although some embodiments of the present disclosure are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, it should be understood that the present disclosure may be embodied in various forms and is not limited to the embodiments described herein. Rather, these embodiments are provided to facilitate a thorough and complete understanding of the present disclosure. It should be understood that the accompanying drawings and embodiments of the present disclosure are used by way of example only and are not intended to limit the scope of protection of the present disclosure.

[0070] In describing the embodiments of the present disclosure, terms such as “comprising” and similar terms should be understood as open inclusion, i.e., “comprising but not limited thereto.” The term “based on” should be understood as “based at least partially.” The terms “one embodiment” or “embodiment” should be understood as “at least one embodiment.” Terms such as “first,” “second,” etc., may refer to different or identical objects.

[0071] In the context of the present disclosure, the term “wireless communication system” may be, for example, a wide area network system or a wireless local area network (WLAN) system. A wireless communication system may support multiple WLAN communication protocols, for example, 802.11ac / 802.11ax / 802.11be in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 series protocols or any protocol in the future IEEE 802.11 series. For ease of explanation, embodiments of the present application use a WLAN as an example for explanation. A WLAN may include multiple Basic Service Sets (BSS). Nodes in a Basic Service Set include Access Point Stations and Non-Access Point Stations (Non-AP STAs).

[0072] The term "Access Point (AP)" may also be referred to as an Access Point Station. An AP is a device equipped with wireless transceiver capabilities that can provide services for stations. An AP may also be referred to as a wireless access point or a hotspot. An AP is an access point used by mobile users to access wired networks; it is primarily deployed within homes, buildings, or campuses, and typically has a coverage radius ranging from tens to hundreds of meters. Alternatively, an AP can be deployed outdoors. An AP acts as a bridge connecting wired and wireless networks. The primary function of an AP is to connect STAs to each other and then connect the wireless network to the wired network. Optionally, an AP can be a terminal device or a network device equipped with a Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) chip. For example, an AP can be a communications server, router, switch, or bridge. Optionally, an AP can be a device that supports the 802.11 standard in current or future network systems.

[0073] A “Station (STA)” may be a device having wireless transceiver capabilities and may access a wireless local area network based on an access point. A STA may be a wireless communication chip, a wireless sensor, or a wireless communication terminal. For example, a STA may be referred to as a system, subscriber unit, access terminal, mobile station, remote station, remote terminal, mobile device, user terminal, terminal, wireless communication device, user agent, user device, or user equipment (UE). A STA may be a wireless communication chip, a wireless sensor, or a wireless communication terminal. For example, a STA is a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a set-top box, a smart television set, a smart wearable device, a vehicle-mounted communication device, a computer supporting Wi-Fi communication capabilities, etc. Optionally, a STA may be a device supporting the 802.11 standard in a current or future network system.

[0074] The term "Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)" refers to the fundamental transmission method currently used in wireless communication, and it is widely applied in various wireless communication systems. Additionally, OFDM is applied to fixed network transmission modes, such as optical fibers, twisted-pair copper wires, and cables. The fundamental principle of OFDM is to minimize subcarrier spacing within an acceptable range based on subcarrier orthogonality. This ensures the formation of multiple non-interfering parallel paths while improving the system's frequency utilization efficiency. Furthermore, because OFDM possesses these characteristics, multi-user access or data transmission can be implemented by allocating non-interfering OFDM subcarriers to multiple users. This is known as Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA). OFDMA can be used for the simultaneous transmission of multi-user data and is an effective method for improving data transmission concurrency.

[0075] The term "Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology" refers to a technology that utilizes multiple antennas to generate additional spatial degrees of freedom, thereby doubling system throughput and effectively improving the rate of a communication system. Additionally, the transmitter can transmit data to multiple users through multiple spatial streams to implement concurrent transmission of multiple-user (MU) data and improve data transmission concurrency, which may also be referred to as MU-MIMO.

[0076] The 802.11 standard for WLAN systems is evolving from 802.11a / b / g to 802.11n, 802.11ac, 802.11ax, and 802.11be. Standards prior to 802.11n only supported Single User Single Input Single Output (SU-SISO). Single User Multiple Input Multiple Output (SU-MIMO) is supported starting with 802.11n. Additionally, MU-MIMO is supported starting with 802.11ac and 802.11ax. OFDM transmission is supported in 802.11 standards prior to 802.11ax. OFDMA technology was introduced starting with 802.11ax, allowing the entire bandwidth to be divided into one or more Resource Units (RUs). MU-MIMO and OFDMA are supported in 802.11be, which is currently under research, where the Extremely High Throughput Multi-User Physical Protocol Data Unit (EHT MU PPDU) is defined.

[0077] With the evolution of WLAN 802.11, the transmission bandwidth allowed by WLAN 802.11 also gradually changes. The transmission bandwidth allowed by the 802.11a / g standards is 20 MHz, the transmission bandwidth allowed by the 802.11n standards is 20 MHz or 40 MHz, the transmission bandwidth allowed by the 802.11ax standards is 20 MHz, 40 MHz, 80 MHz, or 160 MHz, and the bandwidth supported by the 802.11be standards is expanded to 320 MHz. In this case, peak throughput can be significantly improved, and the transmission rate can be further enhanced.

[0078] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of the division (100) of a 320 MHz channel. Specifically, FIG. 1 illustrates the channel division of the Unlicensed International Information Infrastructure (U-NII) radio band in the 6 GHz frequency band. FIG. 1 illustrates an 80 MHz bandwidth (110), a 160 MHz bandwidth (120), a 320 MHz-1 bandwidth (130), and a 320 MHz-2 bandwidth (140). To effectively utilize the channels, it can be seen that two 320 MHz channels have been designed: 320 MHz-1 with channel center frequencies of 31 / 95 / 159 and 320 MHz-2 with channel center frequencies of 63 / 127 / 191, which are illustrated as 130 and 140, respectively, in FIG. 1.

[0079] It can be understood that Figure 1 illustrates a bandwidth of 320 MHz. In other scenarios, the bandwidth may be a different value. For example, the bandwidth may be extended to a larger value, e.g., 480 MHz, 640 MHz, or other values, in advanced ultra-high throughput systems that may be developed in the future.

[0080] In a WLAN, channels are generally classified into primary and secondary channels. Within the full bandwidth range (e.g., 320 MHz), the AP selects a 20 MHz channel as the primary channel. An 80 MHz channel containing the primary channel is called the primary 80 MHz channel, and other 80 MHz channels are referred to as non-primary 80 MHz channels, or secondary 80 MHz channels. Similarly, a 160 MHz channel containing the primary channel is called the primary 160 MHz channel, and other 160 MHz channels are referred to as non-primary 160 MHz channels, or secondary 160 MHz channels. For example, the location of the primary 80 MHz channel (or primary 160 MHz channel) can be selected by the AP when it establishes the basic service set (BSS). The AP can notify all STAs of the location by transmitting it via broadcast using beacon frames.

[0081] In current multi-user transmissions, an AP can transmit data from multiple STAs carried in a PPDU. After receiving the data, the STA can send an acknowledgment frame to the AP based on Triggered Response Scheduling (TRS) information carried in the data frame. However, when the bandwidth is greater than 160 MHz (e.g., 320 MHz), the STA cannot determine the specific channel to which the acknowledgment frame is transmitted. Therefore, the current solution is not perfect.

[0082] The present embodiment of the application provides an information transmission solution. In this solution, a specific RU used to transmit an acknowledgment frame or a specific RU on a specific channel is determined based on the transmission resource block occupied by the data frame and the RU allocation information in the data frame, thereby ensuring transmission accuracy. Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 2 through 12.

[0083] FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of a communication system (200) to which an embodiment of the present disclosure may be applied. As shown in FIG. 2, the system (200) includes a transmitting device (201) and a receiving device (202). The transmitting device (201) can communicate with the receiving device (202) using a wireless network.

[0084] The transmitting device (201) illustrated in FIG. 2 may be an AP or a STA, and the receiving device (202) may be an AP or a STA. Although FIG. 2 illustrates only a single transmitting device (201) and a single receiving device (202), this is not limited to the present disclosure. For example, the system (200) may include a plurality of receiving devices (202), the transmitting device (201) may communicate with a plurality of receiving devices (202), or there are other scenarios not listed in the present disclosure.

[0085] FIG. 3 is another schematic diagram of a communication system (300) to which an embodiment of the present disclosure may be applied. FIG. 3 illustrates two APs, AP (301) and AP (302). FIG. 3 additionally illustrates three stations, STA (321), STA (322), and STA (323). Wireless communication between APs, between APs and STAs, and between STAs may be performed according to various standards. This embodiment of the present disclosure may be applied to communication between APs, communication between STAs, and communication between APs and STAs. For example, referring to FIG. 3, communication may be performed between AP (301) and AP (302), between STA (322) and STA (323), between AP (301) and STA (321), or between AP (301) and STA (322). It should be noted that FIG. 3 is merely an example and should not be interpreted as a limitation to this embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0086] For convenience of explanation, AP (301) and AP (302) are collectively referred to as AP (30), and STA (321), STA (322), and STA (323) are collectively referred to as STA (32).

[0087] It should be further understood that FIGS. 2 and FIGS. 3 are merely schematic diagrams of a communication system to which an embodiment of the present disclosure may be applied. The communication system (200) and the communication system (300) may further include other network devices or terminal devices, such as wireless relay devices, wireless backhaul devices, etc. Also, the number of transmitting devices (201) and receiving devices (202) included in the system (200), and the number of APs (30) and STAs (32) included in the system (300) are not limited in this embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0088] FIG. 4 is a schematic interaction diagram of an information transmission process (400) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The process (400) relates to a transmitting device (201) and a receiving device (202). It should be understood that the communication process illustrated in FIG. 4 is merely an example and not a limitation. In this embodiment of the present disclosure, interaction signaling not illustrated in FIG. 4 may be included, or some signaling illustrated in FIG. 4 may be omitted.

[0089] In the process (400), the transmitting device (201) can first transmit a data frame (410) to the receiving device (202).

[0090] For example, in this embodiment of the present disclosure, a data frame may occupy a transmission resource block, and the bandwidth of the transmission resource block may be greater than a bandwidth threshold. In other words, in this embodiment of the present disclosure, the bandwidth of the data frame is greater than a bandwidth threshold. In some examples, the data frame may include a single MU PPDU, and the bandwidth of the single MU PPDU is greater than a bandwidth threshold. In some other examples, the data frame may include multiple MU PPDUs. For example, the multiple MU PPDUs may be aggregated PPDUs obtained by aggregating multiple MU PPDUs, and the bandwidth of the aggregated PPDU is greater than a bandwidth threshold. For example, the bandwidth threshold may be 160 MHz, 320 MHz, or other values. This is not limited in the present disclosure.

[0091] It can be understood that the bandwidth of a data frame must not be greater than the total available bandwidth (for short, total bandwidth). In the example of FIG. 1, the total bandwidth is 320 MHz. In other scenarios, the total bandwidth may be a different value, for example, 480 MHz. This is not limited in the present disclosure.

[0092] In this embodiment of the disclosure, the data frame may implement separate OFDMA transmission, separate MU-MIMO transmission, or a hybrid OFDMA and MU-MIMO transmission. In some embodiments, the transmission type may be specified in a specific field in the physical layer format of the data frame. The specific field may be, for example, an Extremely High Throughput Signal Field (EHT-SIG).

[0093] In embodiments of the present disclosure, a plurality of different RU types may be defined, and the total bandwidth may be divided by the RU types. The RU types may indicate the bandwidth occupied by the RU types in the form of tones. Generally, there are 242 tones in a 20 MHz bandwidth, 484 tones in a 40 MHz bandwidth, and 996 tones in an 80 MHz bandwidth.

[0094] RU types may include 26-ton RU, 52-ton RU, 106-ton RU, 242-ton RU, 484-ton RU, 996-ton RU, 2×996-ton RU, 4×996-ton RU, etc.

[0095] The maximum allowable quantity for different bandwidths varies depending on the RU type, as shown in Table 1 below. Although the 4×996-ton RU is not shown in Table 1 below, it can be seen that the 4×996-ton RU corresponds to a 320 MHz bandwidth.

[0096] RU type 20 MHz bandwidth 40 MHz bandwidth 80 MHz bandwidth 80+80 / 160MHz bandwidth 26-ton RU 9 18 37 74 52-ton RU 4 8 16 32 106-ton RU 2 4 8 16 242-ton RU 1 2 4 8 484-ton RU Not applicable (N / A) 1 2 4 996-ton RU N / A N / A 1 2 2×996-ton RU N / A N / A N / A 1

[0097] The transmission resource block occupied by the data frame may have one type or a combination of multiple types; in other words, the transmission resource block occupied by the data frame may be an RU or a Multi-RU (MRU). An MRU may be a combination of at least two RU types.

[0098] In some examples, it can be assumed that the bandwidth threshold is 160 MHz. In other words, the bandwidth occupied by a transmission resource block is greater than 160 MHz, and may be, for example, 320 MHz, 480 MHz, or other cases.

[0099] In some embodiments, the bandwidth occupied by the transmission resource block is 320 MHz. In this case, the transmission resource block may be any one of the following: (a) 4×996-ton RU, (b) 2×996-ton + 996-ton MRU (or denoted as 3×996-ton MRU), (c) 2×996-ton + 484-ton MRU (or denoted as 2×996 + 484-ton MRU), (d) 2×996-ton + 996-ton + 484-ton MRU (or denoted as 3×996 + 484-ton MRU).

[0100] In some embodiments, the bandwidth occupied by the transmission resource block is 480 MHz. In this case, the transmission resource block is as follows:

[0101] It may be any one of the following: (a) 4×996-ton+996-ton MRU (or denoted as 5×996-ton MRU), (b) 4×996-ton+484-ton MRU (or denoted as 4×996+484-ton MRU), (c) 4×996-ton RU; (d) 2×996-ton+996-ton+484-ton MRU (or denoted as 3×996+484-ton MRU), (e) 2×996-ton+996-ton MRU (or denoted as 3×996-ton MRU), (f) 2×996-ton+484-ton MRU (or denoted as 2×996+484-ton MRU).

[0102] It should be noted that the foregoing examples are merely examples and should not be interpreted as a limitation to this embodiment of the present disclosure. There may be other RUs or MRUs that are not described.

[0103] In some embodiments, the physical layer format of the data frame may be illustrated in FIG. 5.

[0104] FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram of a physical layer format (500) of a data frame according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The format (500) includes: a Legacy-Short Training Field (L-STF) (501), a Legacy-Long Training Field (L-LTF) (502), a Legacy Signal Field (L-SIG) (503), a repeated legacy signal Field (RL-SIG) (504), a Universal Signal Field (U-SIG) (505), an Extremely High Throughput Signal Field (EHT-SIG) (506), an Extremely High Throughput Short Training Field (EHT-STF) (507), and an Extremely High Throughput Long Training Field (EHT-LTF) (508). After the data field (Data) (509), there is a packet extension (PE) field (510).

[0105] For example, L-STF (501) can be used for PPDU search, coarse synchronization, automatic gain control, etc. L-LTF (502) can be used for fine synchronization, channel estimation, etc. L-SIG (503) can be used to carry signaling information related to PPDU length to ensure coexistence. RL-SIG (504) indicates a repetition of L-SIG (503). U-SIG (505) is a universal signal field used from EHT. EHT-SIG (506) can carry signaling used to demodulate subsequent data and mainly includes resource unit indication information, etc. EHT-STF (507) can be used for automatic gain control of subsequent fields, etc. EHT-LTF (508) can be used for channel estimation, etc. Data (509) can carry data information. PE (510) can be used to help the receiving device obtain more processing time, etc.

[0106] As shown in FIG. 5, the EHT-SIG (506) may include a Common Field (516) and a User Specific Field (526).

[0107] For example, the common field (516) may include an RU allocation subfield, and the RU allocation subfield may include the RU (or MRU) type and the number of users within the corresponding user group.

[0108] For example, the user-specific field (526) may include multiple user identifiers in the RU allocation order in the RU allocation subfield.

[0109] In some embodiments, the Media Access Control (MAC) layer format of the data frame may be illustrated in FIG. 6.

[0110] FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram of a MAC layer format (600) of a data frame according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The format (600) includes a frame control (601), a duration (602), an address 1 (603), an address 2 (604), an address 3 (605), a sequence control (606), an address 4 (607), a high throughput control (HT Control) (608), a frame body (609), and a frame check sequence (FCS) (610).

[0111] For example, frame control (601) may include multiple subfields indicating protocol version, frame type, subtype, transmission direction, retransmission, power management, etc. For example, in the case of the frame type subfield, "10" may indicate that the frame type is a data frame. Duration (602) may indicate the duration during which the data frame and its acknowledgment frame occupy the channel. Address 1 (603), Address 2 (604), Address 3 (605), and Address 4 (607) may be collectively referred to as address fields and may indicate the receiver address, transmitter address, source address, destination address, etc. of the data frame. Sequence control (606) may be used to filter repeating frames. The frame body (609) may carry specific information. FCS (610) may be used for error detection, for example, FCS (610) may include a 32-bit Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC).

[0112] For example, as illustrated in FIG. 6, the HT control (608) may include an aggregated control (A-Control) (680). The aggregated control may include a control list (682) and padding (684). The control list (682) may include a control identification (Control ID) (6822), control information (6824), etc.

[0113] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, when a transmitting device (201) transmits a data frame (410), the data frame may carry TRS information. Specifically, when the control identifier (6822) is a preset value (e.g., 0), the corresponding control information (6824) carries TRS information.

[0114] FIG. 7 is a schematic diagram of a TRS information format (700) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The format (700) includes an Uplink Data Symbol (UL Data Symbol) (701), a Resource Unit Allocation (RU Allocation) (702), an AP TX Power (703), an Uplink Target Receive Power (UL Target Receive Power) (704), a UL Modulation and Coding Set (UL MCS) (705), and a Reserved (706).

[0115] For example, the UL data symbol (701) may indicate the length (number of symbols) of the data portion of an acknowledgment frame transmitted by the receiving device. The AP transmission power (703) may indicate the transmission power of the AP. The UL target reception power (704) may indicate the uplink reception power predicted by the AP. The UL MCS (705) may indicate the MCS used only by the receiving device to transmit the acknowledgment frame. The reserve (706) may have a reserve length such as 1 bit.

[0116] For example, the RU allocation (702) may carry RU allocation information, which indicates a frequency location on the transmission channel that may also be occupied by the receiving device to transmit an acknowledgment frame. The frequency location may be in the form of an RU or an MRU. Specifically, the RU allocation information may indicate a specific RU on the transmission channel that is occupied when the receiving device transmits an acknowledgment frame. In the present disclosure, the transmission channel occupied when the receiving device transmits an acknowledgment frame may be referred to as the “acknowledgment channel,” and the RU or MRU on the transmission channel occupied when the receiving device transmits an acknowledgment frame may be referred to as the “acknowledgment resource block.”

[0117] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the RU allocation field (702) may be of a preset length and may indicate an RU on a preset bandwidth channel occupied by a receiving device. The preset bandwidth may be 160 MHz. It may be seen that the RU allocation information may indicate the location of a response resource block on a 160 MHz channel.

[0118] RU allocation information may include first instruction information and second instruction information. The first instruction information has a first length, and the second instruction information has a second length, and the sum of the first length and the second length may be equal to or less than a preset length. The first instruction information may indicate a specific 80 MHz channel on a preset bandwidth channel, and the second instruction information may indicate a specific RU on a corresponding 80 MHz channel.

[0119] In some implementations, the preset length may be 8 bits, the first length may be 1 bit, and the second length may be 7 bits. The first instruction information may be at position B0, and the second instruction information may be at positions B1 through B7.

[0120] In some examples, if the response channel is a primary 160 MHz channel, the first value B0 indicates a primary 80 MHz channel and the second value B0 indicates a secondary 80 MHz channel. Optionally, the first value is 0 and the second value is 1; or the first value is 1 and the second value is 0. In some other examples, if the response channel is a secondary 160 MHz channel, the first value B0 indicates a low 80 MHz and the second value B0 indicates a high 80 MHz. Optionally, the first value is 0 and the second value is 1; or the first value is 1 and the second value is 0.

[0121] It will be understood that such implementation is merely an example and not a limitation, and that other implementations not illustrated are not excluded from this embodiment of the disclosure.

[0122] It returns to the process (400). The receiving device (202) can determine the response resource block (420) based on the transmission resource block and RU allocation information.

[0123] Specifically, when determining the response resource block (420), the receiving device (202) may first determine the response channel and then determine the response resource block from the response channel. For example, the response channel may be determined based on a preset rule.

[0124] In some implementations, if the bandwidth of a transmission resource block is less than or equal to a bandwidth threshold, the channel of the transmission resource block may be determined as the response channel. For example, assume that the bandwidth threshold is 160 MHz and the bandwidth of the transmission resource block is equal to 160 MHz. If the transmission resource block is on a primary 160 MHz channel, the response channel is determined to be a primary 160 MHz channel. If the transmission resource block is on a secondary 160 MHz channel, the response channel is determined to be a secondary 160 MHz channel.

[0125] In some other embodiments, if the bandwidth of the transmission resource block is less than or equal to a bandwidth threshold, the response channel may be determined based on a preset rule. Optionally, the preset rule may be at least one of the following: (1) a primary 160 MHz channel, (2) a secondary 160 MHz channel, (3) a high 160 MHz channel, (4) a low 160 MHz channel, (5) a 160 MHz channel of the transmission resource block, or (6) a 160 MHz channel corresponding to a location in the user group if the transmission mode is MU-MIMO. For a description of the preset rule, refer to a specific embodiment of the following implementation.

[0126] In some other implementations, if the bandwidth of a transmission resource block is greater than a bandwidth threshold, the response channel can be determined based on preset rules. For illustrative purposes, an example with a bandwidth threshold of 160 MHz is used below.

[0127] In some embodiments, assuming the bandwidth of the transmission resource block is equal to 320 MHz, the preset rules are as follows: (1) a primary 160 MHz channel, (2) a secondary 160 MHz channel, (3) a high 160 MHz channel, (4) a low 160 MHz channel, and (5) at least one of the 160 MHz channels with more data tones of the transmission resource block.

[0128] Optionally, the primary 160 MHz channel can be used as the response channel. Alternatively, the secondary 160 MHz channel can be used as the response channel. Alternatively, the high 160 MHz channel can be used as the response channel. Alternatively, the low 160 MHz channel can be used as the response channel. It can be seen that the primary 160 MHz channel may be the high 160 MHz channel or the low 160 MHz channel. Correspondingly, the secondary 160 MHz channel may be the low 160 MHz channel or the high 160 MHz channel.

[0129] Optionally, a 160 MHz channel with more data tones of the transmission resource block may be used as a response channel. For example, when the transmission resource block is an MRU of a specific size, the transmission resource block is one of a 3×996-tone MRU, a 2×996+484-tone MRU, or a 3×996+484-tone MRU. In this case, a 160 MHz channel containing a 2×996-tone RU may be used as a response channel. It can be seen that the 160 MHz channel containing the 2×996-tone RU may be a high 160 MHz channel or a low 160 MHz channel. The 160 MHz channel containing the 2×996-tone RU may be a primary 160 MHz channel or a secondary 160 MHz channel.

[0130] In other implementations, the resource block to which the response frame is responded is determined based on the instruction information PS160 and the RU allocation field within the TRS information. The instruction information PS160 is determined based on the location of the 160 MHz channel with more data tones of the transmitted resource block and the resource block size indicated by the RU allocation field of the TRS information. For example, the instruction information PS160 is determined based on the "location of the 160 MHz channel with more data tones of the transmitted resource block" in the second column of the input in the following table and the "resource block size indicated by the RU allocation field in the TRS information" in the first column of the input.

[0131]

[0132] For example, when the resource block size indicated by the RU allocation field in the TRS information is 2×996+484-tons:

[0133] If the 160 MHz channel with more data tones in the transmission resource block is the lower 160 MHz channel, the indication information PS160 can be determined to be 0. Alternatively, if the 160 MHz channel with more data tones in the transmission resource block is the higher 160 MHz channel, the indication information PS160 can be determined to be 1. After determining the indication information PS160, the station can refer to the RU allocation field in the TRS information to determine the location of the resource block used to respond with an acknowledgment frame / block acknowledgment frame. As another example, when the resource block indicated by the RU allocation field in the TRS information is RU / MRU less than or equal to 2×996-tones: if the 160 MHz channel with more data tones in the transmission resource block is the primary 160 MHz channel, the indication information PS160 can be determined to be 0; Alternatively, if the 160 MHz channel with more data tones of the transmission resource block is the secondary 160 MHz channel, it can be determined that the indication information PS160 is 1. It should be noted that when the resource block indicated by the RU allocation field in the TRS information is RU / MRU less than or equal to 2×996-tones, the transmission resource block is located in only one 160 MHz channel. Therefore, the method for determining the indication information PS160 may be as follows: if the 160 MHz channel of the transmission resource block is the primary 160 MHz channel, it can be determined that the indication information PS160 is 0. If the 160 MHz channel of the transmission resource block is the secondary 160 MHz channel, it can be determined that the indication information PS160 is 1. For example, when the resource block indicated by the RU allocation field in the TRS information is a 4×996-tone RU, the indication information PS160 is 1 regardless of the specific 160MHz channel with more data tones of the transmitted resource block. After determining the indication information PS160, the station can determine the location of the resource block used to respond to an acknowledgment frame / block acknowledgment frame by referring to the RU allocation field in the TRS information. In some other embodiments, assuming the bandwidth of the transmission resource block is equal to 480 MHz, the preset rules are as follows: (1) a primary 160 MHz channel, (2) a secondary 160 MHz channel with a higher frequency, (3) a secondary 160 MHz channel with a lower frequency, (4) a high 160 MHz channel, (5) an intermediate 160 MHz channel, (6) a low 160 MHz channel, and (7) at least one of the 160 MHz channels with more data tones of the transmission resource block.

[0134] It can be seen that a 480 MHz bandwidth can be divided into three 160 MHz channels. In one example, the three 160 MHz channels may include one primary 160 MHz channel and two secondary 160 MHz channels. In the two secondary 160 MHz channels, one has a higher frequency and the other has a lower frequency. In another example, the three 160 MHz channels may include a high 160 MHz channel, an intermediate 160 MHz channel, and a low 160 MHz channel. Optionally, any one of the aforementioned 160 MHz channels may be used as a response channel.

[0135] Optionally, a 160 MHz channel with more data tones of the transmission resource block may be used as a response channel. For example, when the transmission resource block is an MRU of a specific size, a 160 MHz channel containing 2×996-tone RUs may similarly be used as a response channel. It can be understood that the 160 MHz channel containing 2×996-tone RUs may be a high 160 MHz channel, a medium 160 MHz channel, or a low 160 MHz channel.

[0136] In this way, in this implementation, a preset rule can be predetermined for the receiving device to determine the response channel. It can be understood that different receiving devices may use different preset rules. For example, one receiving device may use the primary 160 MHz channel as the response channel, while another receiving device may use the secondary 160 MHz channel as the response channel. For SU-MIMO transmission, it can be seen that in this implementation, each channel of the full bandwidth can be fully utilized, resource utilization is optimized, and the transmission efficiency of acknowledgment frames is guaranteed.

[0137] In some other implementations, for MU-MIMO transmission, the receiving device (202) determining the response channel based on preset rules may include: determining that the data frame is transmitted in MU-MIMO mode based on the EHT-SIG field of the data frame; determining the location of the receiving device (202) in the MU-MIMO user group based on the identifier (ID) of the receiving device (202) in the EHT-SIG field; and determining the response channel based on the location.

[0138] Specifically, as illustrated in FIG. 5, the physical layer format of the data frame includes an EHT-SIG (506), and the transmission mode of the data frame can be determined based on the common field (516) in the EHT-SIG (506). For example, the RU allocation subfield of the common field (516) may additionally indicate the number of users in a user group. In some examples, the number of MUs may be less than or equal to the number of spatial streams, and the number of spatial streams may indicate the maximum value of the number of MUs.

[0139] For example, the physical layer format of the data frame includes EHT-SIG (506), and the location can be determined based on the common field (516) and user-specific field (526) in EHT-SIG (506).

[0140] The order in which users appear in the user-specific field (526) corresponds to the RU order obtained through splitting in the corresponding RU allocation subfield. Users can identify whether the user-specific field (526) belongs to a user by reading the ID of the receiving device in the user-specific field (526). Based on the location where the user-specific field appears and the corresponding resource unit allocation subfield, users can know their RU allocation.

[0141] For example, assume that the common field (516) indicates multiple different tone RUs. In one example, it can be assumed that a 2×996+484-tone MRU and a 484-tone RU are included, and that the number of users in the user group corresponding to the 2×996+484-tone MRU is 8, and the number of users in the user group corresponding to the 484-tone RU is also 8. Optionally, multiple receiving devices corresponding to the same RU (or MRU) may belong to the same MU-MIMO group. For example, the user groups (8) corresponding to the 2×996+484-tone MRU are the first MU-MIMO group, and the user groups (8) corresponding to the 484-tone RU are the second MU-MIMO group. In this embodiment of the present disclosure, the location of the receiving device (202) in the MU-MIMO user group may be the location of the receiving device (202) in the MU-MIMO group to which the receiving device (202) belongs.

[0142] The receiving device (202) can determine a first position in all sequences (16) based on a user-specific field (526). For example, assuming the first position is less than or equal to 8 in all sequences, for example, as the 5th position, the RU allocation corresponding to the receiving device (202) is 2×996+484-tone MRU, and the position of the receiving device (202) in the MU-MIMO user group to which the receiving device (202) belongs (i.e., the 1st MU-MIMO group) is 5. Assuming the first position is greater than 8 in all sequences, for example, assuming the 12th position, the RU allocation corresponding to the receiving device (202) is 484-tone RU, and the position of the receiving device (202) in the MU-MIMO user group to which the receiving device (202) belongs (i.e., the 2nd MU-MIMO group) is 12 - 8 = 4.

[0143] For example, if the location is a predetermined location, the response channel can be determined to be the first 160 MHz channel. Conversely, if the location is not a predetermined location, the response channel is determined to be the second 160 MHz channel.

[0144] If the position of the receiving device (202) in the MU-MIMO group is a predetermined position, the response channel can be determined to be the first 160 MHz channel.

[0145] In some embodiments, it is assumed that the bandwidth of the transmission resource block is equal to 320 MHz. Optionally, the first 160 MHz channel may be a primary 160 MHz channel or a secondary 160 MHz channel. Optionally, the first 160 MHz channel may be a high 160 MHz channel or a low 160 MHz channel.

[0146] In some embodiments, the bandwidth of the transmission resource block is assumed to be 480 MHz. Optionally, the first 160 MHz channel may be a primary 160 MHz channel, a secondary 160 MHz channel with a higher frequency, or a secondary 160 MHz channel with a lower frequency. Optionally, the first 160 MHz channel may be a high 160 MHz channel, an intermediate 160 MHz channel, or a low 160 MHz channel.

[0147] When the location of the receiving device (202) in the MU-MIMO group is not a predetermined location (i.e., an undetermined location), the response channel is a second 160 MHz channel, and the second 160 MHz channel can be determined to be different from the first 160 MHz channel.

[0148] For example, in this embodiment of the present disclosure, the predetermined position may be at least one of an odd position, an even position, a first half position, or a second half position.

[0149] For example, assume that the number of MUs in a MU-MIMO group is N, and the location of the receiving device (202) is the Pth location among the N. Then, if P mod 2 is equal to 0 (mod indicates the remainder), in other words, if P is even, the receiving device (202) is located at an even location. If P mod 2 is not equal to 0, the receiving device (202) is located at an odd location.

[0150] In some examples, ( If it indicates rounding down, the receiving device (202) is located at the first half position. If so, the receiving device (202) is located at the second half position. In this example, if the number of MUs (N) in the MU-MIMO group is odd, the receiving device in the middle belongs to the second half position. In some other examples, ( If (indicates rounding), the receiving device (202) is located at the first half position. If so, the receiving device (202) is located in the second half position. In this example, if the number of MUs (N) of the MU-MIMO group is odd, the receiving device in the middle belongs to the first half position.

[0151] For example, assuming that the number of MUs in the MU-MIMO group is 8 and the receiving device (202) is located at the 5th position, the receiving device (202) is located at an odd position and is located at the 2nd half position. For example, assuming that the number of MUs in the MU-MIMO group is 8 and the receiving device (202) is located at the 2nd position, the receiving device (202) is located at an even position and is located at the 1st half position.

[0152] In this way, in this implementation, a preset rule can be predetermined for the receiving device to determine the response channel. Additionally, different receiving devices in the same MU-MIMO group may determine different response channels. For example, receiving devices in odd positions (first receiving device, third receiving device, fifth receiving device… (if any)) may use the primary 160 MHz channel as the response channel, and receiving devices in even positions (second receiving device, fourth receiving device, sixth receiving device… (if any)) may use the secondary 160 MHz channel as the response channel. For MU-MIMO transmission, it can be seen that in this implementation, each channel of the full bandwidth can be fully utilized, resource utilization is optimized, and the transmission efficiency of acknowledgment frames is guaranteed.

[0153] It may be understood that after determining the response channel (420), the receiving device (202) can determine the response resource block based on the RU allocation information. For example, a specific 80 MHz channel in the response channel can be determined based on location B0 of the RU allocation information, and a specific RU in the 80 MHz channel can be further determined based on locations B1 to B7 of the RU allocation information.

[0154] Then, the receiving device (202) can transmit an acknowledgment frame for the data frame to the transmitting device (201) on the response resource block.

[0155] Thus, when the transmission resource block of a data frame is greater than the bandwidth threshold, the receiving device can determine the response channel based on a preset rule and then accurately determine the response resource block based on RU allocation information. This solution is improved. The receiving device knows the specific channel through which the acknowledgment frame is transmitted. Furthermore, the solution in this embodiment of the disclosure does not require additional bits for indication. In this case, there is no need to specifically modify the format of the data frame, and it is highly efficient.

[0156] FIG. 8 is a schematic flowchart of an information transmission method (800) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. For example, the method (800) may be implemented in a receiving device (202) illustrated in FIG. 2. For ease of understanding, the information transmission method (800) is described below using a receiving device (202) as an example. However, this is merely an example and is not intended to limit the embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0157] The method (800) begins with block (810). In (810), a receiving device (202) receives a data frame from a transmitting device. The data frame occupies a transmission resource block and includes RU allocation information.

[0158] In some embodiments, the transmission resource block may be a 4×996-ton RU, a 3×996-ton MRU, a 2×996+484-ton MRU, a 3×996+484-ton MRU, etc. It should be understood that the foregoing examples of the transmission resource block are merely illustrative and not limiting, and that other suitable RUs or MRUs may also be used as the transmission resource block in this embodiment of the disclosure.

[0159] For example, for a related description of a data frame from a transmitting device, refer to the specific embodiment described above with reference to 410. For brevity, details are not described again here.

[0160] In (820), the receiving device (202) determines the response resource block based on the transmission resource block and RU allocation information.

[0161] In some embodiments, when the bandwidth of a transmission resource block is greater than a bandwidth threshold (e.g., 320 MHz), a response channel may be determined based on a preset rule; and the response resource block may be determined based on the response channel and RU allocation information. In this embodiment of the disclosure, the response channel may be a response 160 MHz channel.

[0162] Optionally, the response channel may include at least one of the following: a primary 160 MHz channel, a secondary 160 MHz channel, a high 160 MHz channel, a low 160 MHz channel, or a 160 MHz channel resource block with more data tones of the transmission resource block.

[0163] Optionally, it can be determined that the data frame is transmitted via MU-MIMO based on the EHT-SIG field of the data frame. The location of the receiving device (202) in the MU-MIMO user group can be determined based on the identifier of the receiving device (202) in the EHT-SIG field. The response channel can be determined based on the location.

[0164] For example, the location of the receiving device (202) in the MU-MIMO user group may be the location of the receiving device (202) in the MU-MIMO group. If the location is a predetermined location, the response channel is determined to be the first 160 MHz channel. If the location is not a predetermined location (i.e., an unpredetermined location), the response channel is determined to be the second 160 MHz channel. Optionally, the first 160 MHz channel is different from the second 160 MHz channel.

[0165] Optionally, the first 160 MHz channel may be a primary 160 MHz channel or a secondary 160 MHz channel. Optionally, the first 160 MHz channel may be a high 160 MHz channel or a low 160 MHz channel.

[0166] In some examples, the first 160 MHz channel is the primary 160 MHz channel and the second 160 MHz channel is the secondary 160 MHz channel. In other examples, the first 160 MHz channel is the high 160 MHz channel and the second 160 MHz channel is the low 160 MHz channel.

[0167] For a specific implementation of block (820), it can be understood that the receiving device (202) refers to the detailed description of how the response resource block (420) is determined in the process (400). For brevity, details are not described again here.

[0168] Then, in (830), the receiving device (202) transmits an acknowledgment frame for the data frame to the transmitting device (201) on the acknowledgment resource block.

[0169] In this way, the receiving device can determine the response channel based on a preset rule and also accurately transmit an acknowledgment frame, thereby ensuring information transmission efficiency. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the receiving device may transmit a block acknowledgment frame at (830), details of which are not described further herein.

[0170] FIG. 9 is a schematic flowchart of an information transmission method (900) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. For example, the method (900) may be implemented in a transmitting device (201) illustrated in FIG. 2. For ease of understanding, the information transmission method (900) is described below using a transmitting device (201) as an example. However, this is merely an example and is not intended to limit the embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0171] In (910), the transmitting device (201) transmits a data frame to the receiving device, and the data frame occupies a transmission resource block and includes RU allocation information.

[0172] In this embodiment of the present disclosure, the transmission resource block may be any one of 4×996-ton RU, 3×996-ton MRU, 2×996+484-ton MRU, 3×996+484-ton MRU, etc.

[0173] For example, for a related description of a data frame from a transmitting device, refer to the specific embodiment described above with reference to (410). For brevity, details are not described again here.

[0174] In (920), the transmitting device (201) determines the response resource block based on the transmission resource block and RU allocation information.

[0175] In some embodiments, when the bandwidth of a transmission resource block is greater than a bandwidth threshold (e.g., 320 MHz), a response channel may be determined based on a preset rule; and the response resource block may be determined based on the response channel and RU allocation information. In this embodiment of the disclosure, the response channel may be a response 160 MHz channel.

[0176] Optionally, the response channel may include at least one of the following: a primary 160 MHz channel, a secondary 160 MHz channel, a high 160 MHz channel, a low 160 MHz channel, or a 160 MHz channel resource block with more data tones of the transmission resource block.

[0177] Optionally, it can be determined that a data frame is transmitted via MU-MIMO based on the EHT-SIG field of the data frame. The location of the receiving device in the MU-MIMO user group can be determined based on the identifier of the receiving device in the EHT-SIG field. The response channel can be determined based on the location.

[0178] For example, the location of a receiving device in a MU-MIMO user group may be the location of a receiving device in a MU-MIMO group.

[0179] Optionally, the first 160 MHz channel may be a primary 160 MHz channel or a secondary 160 MHz channel. Optionally, the first 160 MHz channel may be a high 160 MHz channel or a low 160 MHz channel.

[0180] In some examples, the first 160 MHz channel is the primary 160 MHz channel and the second 160 MHz channel is the secondary 160 MHz channel. In other examples, the first 160 MHz channel is the high 160 MHz channel and the second 160 MHz channel is the low 160 MHz channel.

[0181] For a specific implementation of (920), it may be understood that reference is made to the detailed description of (420) described above. In other words, the transmitting device (201) and the receiving device (202) can determine the response channel and further determine the response resource block in a similar manner. In this way, the receiving end and the transmitting end can ensure consistency. For brevity, details are not described again here.

[0182] Then, in (930), the transmitting device (201) receives an acknowledgment frame for a data frame from the receiving device (202) on the acknowledgment resource block.

[0183] In this way, the transmitting device can determine the response channel based on preset rules and also accurately receive acknowledgment frames, thereby ensuring information transmission efficiency. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the transmitting device may receive block acknowledgment frames at (930), details of which are not described further herein.
