Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to an emergency recovery system for an optical network and a method thereof, and more specifically, to an emergency recovery system for an optical network and a method thereof comprising a reading device capable of reading a signal of a damaged optical fiber bundle. Background Technology
[0002] A number of digital signaling units (DU, or central office (COT)) and wireless transceivers (RU, or remote node (RN)) are connected by forming a single optical fiber line using an optical multiplexer. For example, referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, each optical fiber line is laid in a bundle form within an enclosure. In this case, the bundled optical fiber may be severed or damaged in disaster situations such as construction, fire, sinkhole, or flood, as shown in FIG. 2.
[0003] In particular, when optical fiber bundles are severed at both ends of the digital signaling unit and the wireless transceiver unit, a problem arises in that the optical line cannot be restored quickly because there is no way to distinguish the fibers in the bundle at the site, even though reconnection of the severed bundles is necessary.
[0004] Specifically, to emergency restore a severed line to enable mutual communication, the broken line must be reconnected using the same existing line; however, a problem arises in that it is impossible to identify the identical line on-site, making it impossible to determine which optical fibers should be connected to which circuits. Consequently, difficulties arise in locating interconnected lines by sequentially connecting them one by one using a red light source, and this sequential connection and verification procedure results in delays in emergency restoration time.
[0005] Communication networks are public and essential goods, and delays in disaster recovery like this cause unpredictable secondary damage. The problem to be solved
[0006] According to an embodiment of the present invention for solving the above-mentioned problems, the purpose is to provide a device and method that can quickly identify the connection target of an optical fiber bundle by connecting a cut optical fiber to a reading device, without having to individually connect and verify a plurality of optical fiber bundles.
[0007] Specifically, according to one embodiment of the present invention, an optical path reading device for emergency restoration of an optical network can be provided, which connects a severed optical fiber and reads the identification number of the optical fiber.
[0008] In addition, according to another embodiment of the present invention, an optical module may be provided that identifies the disconnection state of an optical fiber and changes a transmission signal into information including an identification number.
[0009] Specifically, the purpose is to minimize damage caused by communication interruption by shortening emergency recovery time through verification of optical module information connected to digital signaling devices and wireless transceivers.
[0010] In addition, according to another embodiment of the present invention, a system capable of identifying line information based on an identification number can be provided by communicating with a line database (DB) that provides location and / or line information of the optical fiber based on an identification number of the disconnected optical fiber identified by an optical fiber reading device.
[0011] The purpose of the present invention is not limited to the purpose according to the above embodiments. means of solving the problem

[0013] In one embodiment, any one of the first optical module and the second optical module can determine the occurrence of a failure state by identifying that an optical signal is not received from any of the remaining optical modules other than the one optical module for a preset time or longer.
[0014] In one embodiment, upon determining the occurrence of the fault state, any one of the optical modules may transmit the identification number of any one of the optical modules instead of the optical signal prior to the occurrence of the fault state.
[0015] In one embodiment, the emergency recovery system of the optical network further includes a line database that records line information of the first optical module and the second optical module, and when the identification number is received from any one of the optical modules, the reading device requests line information matching the identification number from the line database, and upon receiving the matching line information from the line database, the connection target of the first optical cable can be determined.
[0016] In one embodiment, the reading device includes a memory analysis device that extracts the recorded identification number and the recorded line information from a memory in which the identification number and line information of each of the first optical module and the second optical module are recorded, and the reading device can extract the first line information among the recorded line information based on the first identification number among the recorded identification numbers that matches the received identification number as the identification number is received from any one of the optical modules.
[0017] In one embodiment, the reading device can extract second line information among the recorded line information based on a second identification number among the recorded identification numbers that matches the identification number of the remaining optical module, as the identification number is received from the remaining optical module.
[0018] In one embodiment, the reading device can determine the optical cable to be connected to the first end of the disconnected optical cable based on the first identification number and the first line information and the second identification number and the second line information.
[0019] In one embodiment, upon determining the occurrence of the fault state, any one of the optical modules generates an emergency recovery signal instead of the optical signal prior to the occurrence of the fault state, and transmits the generated emergency recovery signal based on a preset protocol, transmission speed, and port information, wherein the emergency recovery signal may include an identification number of the optical module.

[0021] In one embodiment, the control unit receives a second identification number of a second optical module connected to a second end of the second optical cable from the separated signal, extracts an identification number matching the received second identification number from among the recorded identification numbers, and extracts second line information corresponding to the extracted identification number from among the recorded line information.
[0022] In one embodiment, the control unit can determine whether the first optical cable and the second optical cable are connected based on the first identification number, the first line information and the second identification number and the second line information.
[0023] According to another embodiment of the present invention for achieving the above objective, an emergency recovery method for an optical network performed by an emergency recovery system for an optical network comprises: a step of identifying the occurrence of a Loss of Signal (LOS) in any one of a first optical module connected to a digital signaling unit (DU) to generate an optical signal and a second optical module that transmits an optical signal to a wireless transceiver unit (RU); a step of determining that the occurrence of the identified LOS by any one optical module persists for a preset time or longer; a step of generating an emergency recovery signal and transmitting the generated emergency recovery signal through an optical cable connected to a first end of any one optical module, wherein an optical line reading device is connected to a second end of the optical cable connected to any one optical module, and a step of the optical line reading device extracting an identification number of any one optical module from the generated emergency recovery signal; a step of recognizing an identification number that matches the extracted identification number from a previously recorded identification number and line information of an optical module within the optical network; and It may include a step of determining connection information of any one of the optical modules based on matching identification numbers and corresponding line information. Effects of the invention

[0069] FIG. 7 is a flowchart of an emergency recovery method for an optical network according to another embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 8 is a flowchart of an emergency recovery method for an emergency recovery system for an optical network according to another embodiment of the present invention. Hereinafter, an emergency recovery method according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 7 and FIG. 8 together.
[0070] Referring to FIG. 7, the emergency recovery system of the optical network can identify a fault state caused by a disconnection of the optical network by identifying the signal response of the optical module (S10).
[0071] Referring to FIG. 8, the optical module identifies the occurrence of LOS (Loss of Signal) (S801), and if it is determined that it persists for longer than a preset time (S802), it generates an emergency recovery signal and can transmit the generated signal (S803).
[0072] For example, the optical module may switch to emergency recovery mode if a failure occurs during service and LOS occurs for a certain period of time (e.g., LOS for 3 minutes). When switched to emergency recovery mode, the optical module can transmit product information of the optical transceiver by turning the Tx disable signal On / Off.
[0073] Again, referring to FIG. 7, when at least one end of the optical fiber is connected to a reading device (S20), the reading device can scan the identification number of the optical module (S30). At this time, the optical module identification number can be transmitted to the reading device (100) from the optical module to which one end of the disconnected optical cable is connected.
[0074] The reading device (100) receives line information matching an identification number from the line database (S40). The line information may include the location of the single-line optical cable, information on the connecting company / region / organization, and the type and / or attribute information of the transmitted and received data.
[0075] A reading device (100) can determine the target for reconnection of the disconnected optical cable based on the identification number and line information (S50). By connecting one end of the optical cable determined for reconnection to one end of the disconnected optical cable, the optical network can be restored.
[0076] Referring to FIG. 8, in the emergency recovery system of the optical network, the disconnected optical line is connected to Port 1 of the reading device (100) (S810). After receiving SN information transmitted from the optical transceiver of the COT or RN, the reading device (100) can identify the line information of the optical line connected to Port 1 by matching the S / N signal information of the optical module retrieved from the TANGO system with the line information (S811).
[0077] Next, for Port2, steps (S810) and (S811) are repeated.
[0078] If the line numbers of Port1 and Port2 are not the same, the line of Port2 is recorded and stored separately, and steps (S810) and (S811) are repeated for other optical lines, and if the line numbers are the same, the optical lines are connected by connecting the lines connected to Port1 and Port2 (S813). Accordingly, the LOS is released and the emergency recovery mode can be released.
[0079] Meanwhile, the optical module operates in the same way as a conventional optical transceiver under normal circumstances (S820).
[0080] FIG. 9 is an example of a screen of a display referenced in some embodiments of the present invention. In FIG. 9, a screen (1310) output through a display (131) is illustrated as an example, and the screen (1310) can display SN information and line information of a line connected to Port 1 and Port 2. Based on the displayed SN information and line information, the connection target of the optical module can be determined. The emergency recovery system and / or reading device (100) can determine the connection information of an optical module connected to the second end of an optical cable connected to the first end of a port based on an identification number and the corresponding line information.
[0081] The methods according to the present invention may be implemented in the form of program instructions that can be executed through various computer means and recorded on a computer-readable medium. The computer-readable medium may include program instructions, data files, data structures, etc., either alone or in combination. The program instructions recorded on the computer-readable medium may be those specifically designed and configured for the present invention, or they may be those known and available to those skilled in the art of computer software.
