Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a dishwasher, and more specifically, to a dishwasher that improves drying performance, prevents the growth of bacteria or mold, reduces manufacturing and maintenance costs, and allows the drain to open and close stably. Background Technology
[0002] A dishwasher is a home appliance that removes foreign substances remaining on objects to be cleaned, such as dishes or cooking utensils, by spraying a cleaning solution onto them.
[0003] Such dishwashers generally include a tub that provides a washing space, a rack provided within the tub for accommodating dishes, a spray arm that sprays washing liquid onto the rack, a sump that stores washing liquid, and a washing pump that supplies washing liquid stored in the sump to the spray arm.
[0004] In addition, the dishwasher may be equipped with a drying module. The drying module can remove moisture remaining on dishes (to be dried) by supplying heated air into the interior of the tub (washing chamber, drying chamber).
[0005] Drying modules can be classified into open circulation type and closed circulation type. An open circulation type drying module can discharge humid air inside the tub to the outside of the tub and heat outside air to supply it to the inside of the tub. On the other hand, a closed circulation type drying module can discharge humid air inside the tub to the outside of the tub, remove moisture from the discharged air, and then supply the moisture-removed air back into the tub.
[0006] Although closed-circulation type drying modules may offer better drying performance than open-circulation type drying modules, they can increase manufacturing costs and require more installation space, which can be an obstacle to miniaturizing dishwashers.
[0007] The drying module may include a duct, a fan that circulates air inside the duct, and a heater that heats the air inside the duct.
[0008] A drain can be formed in the duct. Accordingly, water flowing into or generated within the duct can be discharged to the outside, thereby improving the drying performance of the drying module and preventing the proliferation of bacteria or mold inside the duct.
[0009] The drain may be kept open at all times or opened and closed depending on the situation. If the drain is kept open at all times, air inside the duct that is drier or warmer than the outside air may be discharged to the outside through the drain, and pressure loss may occur. In addition, outside air that is colder or more humid than the air inside the duct may flow into the duct, which may reduce drying efficiency. Therefore, in order to increase energy efficiency or drying efficiency, it may be desirable for the second drain (D2) to be opened and closed depending on the situation.
[0010] The prior art related to drying modules is as follows.
[0011] U.S. Patent Publication No. 2019-0038109 relates to a dishwasher comprising a tub, a tub air outlet, a tub air inlet, an airflow conduit connecting the tub air outlet to ambient air, a blower assembly that causes air to flow from the tub to the airflow conduit through the tub air outlet, a first storage tank coupled to the airflow conduit, and a second storage tank coupled to the airflow conduit.
[0012] In the above prior art, a liquid outlet is disclosed, but the liquid outlet is only kept open at all times, and a method for opening and closing the liquid outlet according to the situation is not disclosed. Prior art literature

[0041] In one embodiment, the drain (D2) is configured to further include a second through hole (D2C) that penetrates the duct wall of the second condensation duct (1124).
[0042] The above blocking plate (172) can open and close the first through hole (D2A, D2B) and the second through hole (D2C) depending on whether the fan (130) is operating or its strength, and the amount of water collected in the first through hole (D2A, D2B) and the second through hole (D2C) or around them.
[0043] In one embodiment, the second through hole (D2C) has a larger cross-sectional area than the first through hole (D2A, D2B).
[0044] In one embodiment, the drain (D2) includes a plurality of first through holes (D2A, D2B).
[0045] The plurality of first through holes (D2A, D2B) are formed at approximately equal intervals centered around the second through hole (D2C).

[0047] At least two of the first through holes (D2A, D2B) are formed symmetrically on both sides with respect to a virtual straight line (L1) that passes through the second through hole (D2C) and extends along the longitudinal direction of the second condensation duct (1124).
[0048] In one embodiment, the at least two first through holes (D2A, D2B) and the second through hole (D2C) are formed on a straight line (L2).
[0049] In one embodiment, the switch (170) includes a protrusion (176) that protrudes upward from the upper surface of the blocking plate (172) and is inserted into the second through hole (D2C).
[0050] In one embodiment, the protrusion (176) includes a height section (HS2) in which the cross-sectional area gradually decreases as it goes upward relative to the upper surface of the blocking plate (172).
[0051] In one embodiment, the head portion (1744) includes a height section (HS1) in which the cross-sectional area gradually decreases as it moves away from the blocking plate (172). Effects of the invention
[0052] According to embodiments of the present invention, a drain (D2) penetrating the duct wall of the second condensation duct (1124) may be formed in the second condensation duct (1124). Accordingly, water introduced through the inlet (H1) or outlet (H2), or water condensed in the condensation duct (112), can be discharged to the outside through the second drain (D2), thereby improving the drying performance of the drying device (100). Additionally, the humidity inside the second condensation duct (1124) is lowered, preventing the proliferation of bacteria or mold inside. Furthermore, since water can be prevented from entering the motor of the fan (130) or the heater (140), the fan (130) or the heater (140) can be prevented from malfunctioning or breaking down due to water.
[0053] According to embodiments of the present invention, a fan (130) is positioned downstream of the drain (D2), and a switch (170) may be installed in the drain (D2). The switch (170) can open or close the drain (D2) depending on whether the fan (130) is operating or its strength, and the amount of water collected in the drain (D2) or around the drain (D2). Accordingly, if the fan (130) is operating or the strength of the fan (130) is strong, negative pressure is formed in the second drain (D2), so the switch (170) moves to close the drain (D2). On the other hand, if the fan (130) stops operating or the strength of the fan (130) is weak, negative pressure is not formed in the second drain (D2), so the switch (170) moves back to its original position and the second drain (D2) can be opened. Additionally, the second drain (D2) can be opened or closed according to the pressure caused by the weight of the water applied to the switch (170). Therefore, since the switch (170) opens or closes the second drain (D2) according to the direction of the pressure acting on the switch (170), the structure of the switch (170) can be simplified and the switch (170) can be easily manufactured at a low cost. Furthermore, since the second drain (D2) is automatically opened or closed depending on the situation, drying efficiency and energy efficiency can be improved. In addition, since water is discharged and humidity is lowered, it is possible to prevent bacteria or mold from multiplying inside the duct (1124).
[0054] According to embodiments of the present invention, a water collection groove (P) may be formed on the lower surface of the second condensation duct (1124). A drain (D2) may be formed by penetrating the duct wall at the bottom of the water collection groove (P) in an approximately vertical direction. Accordingly, since water can move away from the air flow path and quickly and easily collect in the water collection groove (P) below the air flow path, water can be discharged quickly and effectively with a simple configuration. As a result, drying performance is improved and humidity is lowered, preventing the proliferation of bacteria or mold inside. In addition, since water can be collected quickly and easily and effectively discharged, the size of the drain (D2) and the opening / closing device (170) can be reduced. Consequently, manufacturing and maintenance costs can be reduced, and since the drain (D2) can be opened and closed stably, drying efficiency and energy efficiency can be improved.
[0055] According to embodiments of the present invention, the cross-sectional area of the water collection groove (P) can gradually decrease as it extends downward. Accordingly, water can collect more quickly and easily and be effectively discharged. As a result, drying performance is improved and humidity is lowered, which prevents the proliferation of bacteria or mold inside. Furthermore, since water can collect quickly and easily and be effectively discharged, the size of the drain (D2) and the opening / closing device (170) can be made smaller. Consequently, manufacturing and maintenance costs can be reduced, and since the drain (D2) can be opened and closed stably, drying efficiency and energy efficiency can be improved.
[0056] According to embodiments of the present invention, the lower surface of the second downstream duct (1124B) may gradually increase in height from near the upstream end (1124BU) of the second downstream duct (1124B) to near the downstream end (1124BD). Accordingly, water flowing into or generated in the second downstream duct (1124B) flows away from the fan (130) located near the downstream end (1124BD) of the second downstream duct (1124B), thereby preventing water from flowing into the motor (136) of the fan (130). Thus, since the fan (130) can be prevented from failing due to water, the durability and stability of the drying device (100) can be improved.
[0057] In addition, since water accumulates near the upstream end (1124BU) of the second downstream duct (1124B), if a drain (D2) is formed near the upstream end (1124BU) of the second downstream duct (1124B), the water can be discharged quickly, easily, and effectively. In particular, when water accumulates quickly, the opening / closing device (170) is pressurized, causing the water to be discharged quickly, thereby improving drying performance. Furthermore, since water accumulates quickly and can be discharged effectively, the size of the drain (D2) and the opening / closing device (170) can be reduced. Accordingly, manufacturing and maintenance costs can be reduced, and since the drain (D2) can be opened and closed stably, drying efficiency and energy efficiency can be improved. Additionally, as water is discharged quickly, the humidity of the second downstream duct (1124B) is lowered, preventing the proliferation of bacteria or mold inside the second downstream duct (1124B).
[0058] According to embodiments of the present invention, the switch (170) may include a blocking plate (172) that opens and closes the first through holes (D2A, D2B) and one or more locking members (174) that extend upward from the upper surface of the blocking plate (172) and are configured to include a body portion (1742) and a head portion (1744). One or more locking members (174) may correspond to one or more first through holes (D2A, D2B) included in the second drain (D2). The lower end of the body portion (1742) may be coupled to the blocking plate (172) and may be positioned to penetrate the first through holes (D2A, D2B). The head portion (1744) may be coupled to the upper end of the body portion (1742). The length of the body portion (1742) may be longer than the length in the penetration direction of the first penetration hole (D2A, D2B) through which the body portion (1742) passes. The cross-sectional area of the body portion (1742) may be smaller than the cross-sectional area of the first penetration hole (D2A, D2B) through which the body portion (1742) passes. The maximum cross-sectional area of the head portion (1744) and the blocking plate (172) may be larger than the cross-sectional area of the first penetration hole (D2A, D2B) through which the body portion (1742) passes.
[0059] Accordingly, the body portion (1742) of the catch (174) penetrating the first through hole (D2A, D2B) cannot exit the first through hole (D2A, D2B), water can be discharged and air can be introduced through the empty space between the first through hole (D2A, D2B) and the body portion (1742), and the opener (170) can move a predetermined distance in the direction of penetration of the first through hole (D2A, D2B). Therefore, the opener (170) that opens and closes the second drain (D2) according to the direction of pressure acting on the opener (170) can be easily manufactured at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0060] According to embodiments of the present invention, the drain (D2) may include a plurality of first through holes (D2A, D2B). At least two first through holes (D2A, D2B) may be formed symmetrically on both sides with respect to a virtual straight line (L1) that passes through the midpoint of the positions of at least two first through holes (D2A, D2B) and extends along the longitudinal direction of the second condensation duct (1124). Accordingly, since the distance from the at least two catches (174) to the fan (130) is similar, even if a plurality of catches (174) are provided on the blocking plate (172), the magnitude of the pressure acting on at least two catches (174) by the fan (130) may be similar. Accordingly, when the switch (170) moves a predetermined distance in the through direction of the first through holes (D2A, D2B), it can maintain balance without tilting to one side. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the opening and closing of the drain (D2) from being performed by the opening and closing device (170) being obliquely fitted into the drain (D2).
[0061] According to embodiments of the present invention, the drain (D2) may further comprise a second through hole (D2C) penetrating the duct wall of the second condensation duct (1124). The blocking plate (172) can open and close the first through hole (D2A, D2B) and the second through hole (D2C) depending on whether the fan (130) is operating or its strength, and the amount of water accumulated around the first through hole (D2A, D2B) and the second through hole (D2C) or the first through hole (D2A, D2B) and the second through hole (D2C). Accordingly, water can be discharged quickly and effectively through the second through hole (D2C). In addition, since the area where the negative air pressure or water pressure acts on the switch (170) through the second through hole (D2C) increases, the total amount of force (external force) due to the negative pressure or water pressure increases, so that the opening and closing of the drain (D2) can be performed quickly and stably.
[0062] According to embodiments of the present invention, the second through hole (D2C) may have a larger cross-sectional area than the first through hole (D2A, D2B). Accordingly, water can be discharged more quickly and effectively through the second through hole (D2C). Additionally, since the area over which the negative air pressure or water pressure acts on the switch (170) through the second through hole (D2C) is further increased, the total amount of force (external force) due to the negative pressure or water pressure increases, so that the opening and closing of the drain (D2) can be performed more quickly and stably.
[0063] According to embodiments of the present invention, the drain (D2) includes a plurality of first through holes (D2A, D2B), and the plurality of first through holes (D2A, D2B) may be formed at approximately equal angular intervals centered around the second through hole (D2C). Accordingly, the forces acting on the switch (170) through the plurality of first through holes (D2A, D2B) arranged at equal angular intervals centered around the second through hole (D2C) can be balanced without being concentrated on one side. Therefore, even if a relatively large force is applied to the switch (170) through the second through hole (D2C), the switch (170) can maintain balance without tilting to one side when moving a predetermined distance in the through-direction of the first through holes (D2A, D2B). Therefore, it is possible to prevent the opening and closing of the drain (D2) from being performed by the opening and closing device (170) being obliquely fitted into the drain (D2).
[0064] According to embodiments of the present invention, the drain (D2) includes two or more first through holes (D2A, D2B), and at least two first through holes (D2A, D2B) may be formed symmetrically on both sides with respect to a virtual straight line (L1) that passes through the second through hole (D2C) and extends along the longitudinal direction of the second condensation duct (1124). Accordingly, the distance from at least two catches (174) to the fan (130) becomes similar, centered on a predetermined position on the blocking plate (172) corresponding to the second through hole (D2C). Therefore, even if a large force is applied to the predetermined position through the second through hole (D2C) and a plurality of catches (174) are provided on the blocking plate (172), the magnitude of the pressure applied to at least two catches (174) by the fan (130) may be similar. Accordingly, when the opening / closing device (170) moves a predetermined distance in the direction of penetration of the first through hole (D2A, D2B), it can maintain balance without tilting to one side. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the opening / closing device (170) from being obliquely stuck in the drain (D2) and thus preventing the opening / closing of the drain (D2) from being performed.
[0065] According to embodiments of the present invention, at least two first through holes (D2A, D2B) and the second through hole (D2C), which are formed symmetrically on both sides with respect to a virtual straight line (L1) that passes through the second through hole (D2C) and extends along the longitudinal direction of the second condensation duct (1124), can be formed on a straight line (L2). Accordingly, the distance from a predetermined position on the blocking plate (172) corresponding to the second through hole (D2C) where a large force is applied to the switch (170) to the fan (130) and the distance from the at least two catches (174) to the fan (130) are both similar, so that when the switch (170) moves a predetermined distance in the through direction of the first through hole (D2A, D2B), it can maintain balance without tilting, for example, along the longitudinal direction of the second condensation duct (1124). Therefore, it is possible to prevent the opening and closing of the drain (D2) from being performed, for example, by the opening and closing device (170) being obliquely fitted into the drain (D2) in the longitudinal direction.
[0066] According to embodiments of the present invention, the opener (170) may include a protrusion (176) that protrudes upward from the upper surface of the blocking plate (172) and is inserted into the second through hole (D2C). Accordingly, when negative pressure is applied to the second through hole (D2C) by the fan (130) and outside air flows into the second condensation duct (1124) through the second through hole (D2C), the protrusion (176) reduces the space (area) through which outside air flows, thereby increasing the speed of outside air inflow and allowing the pressure around the protrusion (176) to be reduced more significantly. Therefore, even if the magnitude of the negative pressure applied to the second through hole (D2C) by the fan (130) is small, the second drain (D2) can be closed more quickly and stably.
[0067] According to embodiments of the present invention, the protrusion (176) may include a height section (HS2, FIG. 18) in which the cross-sectional area gradually decreases as it goes upward relative to the upper surface of the blocking plate (172). Accordingly, when the second drain (D2) is opened, water can be discharged quickly and effectively along the vertical slope of the protrusion (176). In addition, when the second drain (D2) is closed, the opening / closing mechanism (170) can move in the correct position along the vertical slope of the protrusion (176) and in the through direction of the first through hole (D2A, D2B), so that the opening and closing of the second drain (D2) can be performed stably with a simple configuration.
[0068] According to embodiments of the present invention, the head portion (1744) may include a height section (HS1, FIG. 18) in which the cross-sectional area gradually decreases as it moves away from the blocking plate (172). Accordingly, the head portion (1744) can be inserted into the first through-hole (D2A, D2B) from the upper part of the height section (HS1) far from the blocking plate (172), and the lower part of the height section (HS1), which has a gradually larger cross-sectional area, can be elastically deformed downward, allowing for easy and stable insertion. On the other hand, since the lower part of the height section (HS1) of the head portion (1744) close to the blocking plate (172) is difficult to elastically deform upward, the head portion (1744) cannot exit the first through-hole (D2A, D2B) after passing through it. Therefore, the head portion (1744) can securely connect the switch (170) to the first through hole (D2A, D2B).

[0082] Hereinafter, a dishwasher according to some embodiments of the present invention will be described.
[0083] FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a dishwasher according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0084] Referring to FIG. 1, a dishwasher (1) according to one embodiment may include a cabinet (11), a tub (12), a plurality of spray arms (23, 24, 25), a sump (50), a filter (70), a wash pump (80), a switching valve (85), a water supply valve (32), a drain pump (35), a drying device (100), and a control unit (200). Each component is examined.
[0085] The cabinet (11) can form the exterior of the dishwasher (1).
[0086] The tub (12) may be provided inside the cabinet (11). The tub (12) may be formed in the shape of a cuboid with an open front. However, the shape of the tub (12) is not limited to this and may have various shapes.
[0087] A cleaning space (12S) for accommodating a cleaning object may be formed inside the tub (12). A door (14, FIG. 2) for opening and closing the cleaning space (12S) may be provided at the front of the tub (12).
[0088] An inlet (H1) and an outlet (H2) communicating with a drying device (100) may be formed in the side wall (12R) and bottom (12B) of the tub (12). This will be described later. Additionally, a communication hole (H3) through which a cleaning liquid flows into the sump (50) may be formed in the bottom (12B) of the tub (12).
[0089] A door (14, FIG. 2) is provided on the front of the tub (12) to open and close the washing space (12S).
[0090] A plurality of racks (26, 27) for storing items to be washed, such as dishes, may be arranged in the washing space (12S). The plurality of racks (26, 27) may include a lower rack (26) placed at the bottom of the washing space (12S) and an upper rack (27) placed at the top of the washing space (12S). The lower rack (26) and the upper rack (27) may be spaced apart vertically and may be slid out toward the front of the tub (12).
[0091] A plurality of spray arms (23, 24, 25) may be spaced apart vertically. The plurality of spray arms (23, 24, 25) may include a low spray arm (23), an upper spray arm (24), and a top spray arm (25). The low spray arm (23) may spray cleaning liquid upward toward the lower rack (26). The upper spray arm (24) may be positioned above the low spray arm (23) and may spray cleaning liquid upward toward the upper rack (27). The top spray arm (25) may be positioned at the top of the cleaning space (12S) and may spray cleaning liquid downward.
[0092] Multiple spray arms (23, 24, 25) can receive cleaning fluid from a cleaning pump (80) through multiple spray arm connecting channels (28, 29, 31).
[0093] A sump (50) can be formed at the bottom (12B) of a tub (12) and can collect and store cleaning fluid. Specifically, the sump (50) can be connected to a water supply channel (33) and can receive and store clean cleaning fluid free of foreign matter through the water supply channel (33). Additionally, the sump (50) can receive and store cleaning fluid from which foreign matter has been filtered through a filter (70).
[0094] The filter (70) can be provided in the sump (50) and installed in the connecting hole (H3). The filter (70) can filter foreign matter from the cleaning solution containing foreign matter that moves from the tub (12) to the sump (50).
[0095] The water supply valve (32) can control the cleaning solution supplied from an external water source through the water supply path (33). When the water supply valve (32) is opened, the cleaning solution supplied from the external water source can flow into the sump (50) through the water supply path (33).
[0096] The drainage channel (34) can be connected to a drainage pump (35) and a sump (50).
[0097] The drainage pump (35) can be connected to the drainage path (34) and may be configured to include a drainage motor (not shown).
[0098] When the drainage pump (35) is operated, foreign matter or cleaning liquid filtered through the filter (50) can be discharged to the outside through the drainage path (34).
[0099] The cleaning pump (80) can be positioned at the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) and can supply cleaning fluid stored in the sump (50) to a plurality of spray arms (23, 24, 25).
[0100] The switching valve (85) can optionally connect at least one of the plurality of injection arms (23, 24, 25) to the washing pump (80).
[0101] The drying device (100) may be positioned at the bottom of one side wall (12R) and the bottom (12B) of the tub (12). The drying device (100) may be connected to the inside of the washing space (12S) through an inlet (H1) and an outlet (H2). The drying device (100) may dry the washing space (12S) inside the tub (12).
[0102] In the drying stage of the dishwasher (1), humid air inside the washing space (12S) can be introduced into the drying device (100) through the inlet (H1), and air dried in the drying device (100) can be discharged into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2). This circulation of air can be performed repeatedly. In this way, the drying device (100) can improve drying performance through closed circulation of air.
[0103] Meanwhile, various components constituting the dishwasher (1), such as a washing pump (80), are installed at the bottom (12B) of the tub (12), and a sump (50) is formed, so the space for installing the drying device (100) may be narrow. Therefore, the drying device (100) must have a small size and a compact structure so that it can be installed in the dishwasher (1).
[0104] The distributor (150) of the drying device (100) can be inserted into the interior of the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2). The distributor (150) can be placed at the edge corner of the tub (12) so as not to collide with the rotating spray arm (23).
[0105] The control unit (500) can be connected to and can control the washing pump (80), switching valve (85), water supply valve (32), drainage pump (35) or drying device (100), etc.
[0106] FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a tub according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 to 6 are a perspective view, front view, side view, and top view of a drying device and a tub according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 7 is a perspective view of a drying device according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0107] Referring to FIG. 2, a tub (12) according to one embodiment may be configured to include a bottom (12B), an upper wall (12T), a side wall (12R), a side wall (12L), and a rear wall (12RR). A cleaning space (12S) may be formed inside the tub (12) by the bottom (12B), the upper wall (12T), the side wall (12R), the side wall (12L), and the rear wall (12RR). For example, the side wall (12R) may be the right wall of the tub (12), and the side wall (12L) may be the left wall of the tub (12).
[0108] A door (14) for opening and closing a washing space (12S) may be provided at the front of the tub (12).
[0109] The floor (12B) and the upper wall (12T) may face each other in the vertical direction, the rear wall (12RR) and the door (14) may face each other in the first direction, and the side wall (12R) and the other side wall (12L) may face each other in the second direction.
[0110] An inlet (H1) and an outlet (H2) may be formed in the tub (12). The outlet (H2) may be located below the inlet (H1). Here, "below" may mean a height lower than that of the inlet (H1).
[0111] Accordingly, high-temperature dry air introduced into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) is discharged to the outside of the washing space (12S) through the inlet (H1) located higher than the outlet (H2), so that the dry air (e.g., high-temperature dry air) can be discharged after effectively circulating inside the washing space (12S). Therefore, drying efficiency can be improved.
[0112] An example of the location of the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) is as follows.
[0113] One side wall (12R) of the tub (12) may be divided into a rear section (R11, R12, R13), a central section (R21, R22, R23), and a front section (R31, R32, R33) with respect to the first direction or the front-rear direction. The point dividing the rear section and the central section of the one side wall (12R) may be a point approximately 1 / 4 to 1 / 3 of the width of the one side wall (12R) from the rear end of the one side wall (12R) toward the front. The point dividing the front section and the central section of the one side wall (12R) may be a point approximately 1 / 4 to 1 / 3 of the width of the one side wall (12R) from the front end of the one side wall (12R) toward the rear.
[0114] Additionally, the side wall (12R) of the tub (12) may be divided into an upper section (R11, R21, R31), a central section (R12, R22, R32), and a lower section (R13, R23, R33) with respect to the vertical or vertical direction. The point dividing the upper and central sections of the side wall (12R) may be a point approximately 1 / 4 to 1 / 3 of the height of the side wall (12R) downward from the top of the side wall (12R). The point dividing the lower and central sections of the side wall (12R) may be a point approximately 1 / 4 to 1 / 3 of the height of the side wall (12R) upward from the bottom of the side wall (12R).
[0115] Accordingly, one side wall (12R) of the tub (12) can be divided into nine areas with respect to the first direction and the up-and-down direction: rear upper (R11), rear central part (R12), rear lower part (R13), central upper part (R21), central part (R22), central lower part (R23), front upper part (R31), front central part (R32), and front lower part (R33).
[0116] The bottom (12B) of the tub (12) can also be divided into nine areas in the first and second directions, in a manner similar to the side wall (12R), such as the rear side (B11), rear central part (B12), rear other side (B13), central side (B21), central part (B22), central other side (B23), front side (B31), front central part (B32), and front other side (B33).
[0117] An inlet (H1) may be formed at the rear upper portion (R11) of one side wall (12R) of the tub (12) through which air from the washing space (12S) flows into the interior of the drying duct (110). Additionally, an outlet (H2) may be formed at the rear side portion (B11) of the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) through which air from the interior of the drying duct (110) flows out into the washing space (12S).
[0118] Accordingly, since both the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) are formed on one side of the rear of the tub (12), the horizontal distance between the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) can be reduced. Additionally, since the outlet (H2) is formed on the bottom (12B) and the inlet (H1) is formed on the upper part of the side wall (12R), the vertical distance between the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) can be increased.
[0119] Generally, to introduce air into a specific space and to allow the introduced air to circulate effectively within the space, i) the air introduced from the inlet must not flow directly toward the outlet, and ii) the horizontal distance between the air inlet and outlet must be reduced and the vertical distance increased.
[0120] Therefore, since the above ii) is satisfied, the drying efficiency can be improved because the dry air discharged into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) can be effectively circulated to every corner of the washing space (12S) until it enters the drying device (100) through the inlet (H1). Meanwhile, the above i) can be satisfied through the distributor (150).
[0121] Additionally, since both the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) are formed at the rear of the tub (12), a drying duct (110) may be placed around the rear of the tub (12), and a cold air supply module (120) may be placed around the front of the tub (12). Since the rear of the tub (12) is generally blocked by a wall and the front of the tub (12) (especially the front lower part of the tub) is open to the front, the temperature of the air around the front of the tub (12) may be lower. Accordingly, the cold air supply module (120) can effectively lower the humidity of the air inside the drying duct (110) with cold air around the front of the tub (12), thereby improving drying performance.
[0122] Additionally, since the outlet (H2) is formed at the rear of the tub (12), the distributor (150) of the drying device (100) can be positioned at the rear of the tub (12). Therefore, when the door (14) at the front of the tub (12) is opened, the distributor (150) of the drying device (100) does not obstruct the view, thus improving aesthetics, and various devices inside the tub (12) can be easily managed without being obstructed by the distributor (150) of the drying device (100).
[0123] However, it is not limited thereto. Accordingly, the location where the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) are formed is not limited to a specific area partitioned in the first direction, the second direction, or the up-and-down direction. In addition, it is not limited to the side wall (12R) and the bottom (12B).
[0124] The outlet (H2) may meet a virtual vertical plane (S) that passes through the inlet (H1) and extends in the second direction and the up-and-down direction. For example, the center of the outlet (H2) may meet a virtual vertical plane (S) that passes through the center of the inlet (H1) and extends in the second direction. The meaning of the outlet (H2) meeting the vertical plane (S) is as follows.
[0125] Among the various outlets (H2) formed on the bottom (12B) that are spaced apart from one end of the bottom (12B) by a specific distance to the other side (the other side of the second direction), the outlet (H2) that has a minimum horizontal distance from the inlet (H1) is the outlet (H2) that meets the virtual vertical plane (S).
[0126] When the outlet (H2) meets the vertical surface (S), the horizontal distance between the outlet (H2) formed on the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) and the inlet (H1) formed on one side wall (12R) of the tub (12) is minimized, so that part of the above-mentioned ii) is satisfied, and the dry air discharged into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) can effectively circulate throughout the washing space (12S) until it enters the drying device (100) through the inlet (H1). Therefore, the drying efficiency can be further improved.
[0127] Referring further to FIGS. 3 through 7, a drying device (100) according to one embodiment may be configured to include a drying duct (110), a cold air supply module (120), a fan (130), a heater (140), and a distributor (150). Additionally, the drying device (100) may further include an opening / closing switch (160, FIGS. 16 through 22). However, the cold air supply module (120), the heater (140), or the distributor (150) may be omitted from the drying device (100). Each configuration is examined.
[0128] [Drying Duct]
[0129] The drying duct (110) is connected to the inlet (H1) and outlet (H2), is positioned on the outside of the tub (12), and may be configured to include a condensation duct (112) and a return duct (114).
[0130] Accordingly, as the condensation duct (112) comes into contact with the outside air at a low temperature outside the tub (12), the water vapor contained in the air flowing along the condensation duct (112) condenses into water and is removed. Therefore, drying performance can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.
[0131] The condensation duct (112) may be configured to include a first condensation duct (1122) and a second condensation duct (1124).
[0132] [First Condensation Duct]
[0133] The first condensation duct (1122) may be placed on one side wall (12R). Specifically, the first condensation duct (1122) may face or be in contact with the outer surface or outer circumference of the one side wall (12R). The upstream end (1122U) of the first condensation duct (1122) may be in communication with the inlet (H1).
[0134] Accordingly, since the condensation duct (112) comes into contact with the low-temperature air on the outside of one side wall (12R) of the tub (12), the water vapor contained in the air flowing along the condensation duct (112) is condensed into water and removed. Therefore, drying performance can be improved at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0135] Specifically, for example, the first condensation duct (1122) may be configured to include a first upstream duct (1122A), a heat exchange duct (1122B), and a first downstream duct (1122C) in order along the direction of air flow (Figs. 5 and 7). The first upstream duct (1122A), the heat exchange duct (1122B), and the first downstream duct (1122C) may be three duct sections of the first condensation duct (1122).
[0136] The first upstream duct (1122A) can be connected to the inlet (H1) and air can be introduced.
[0137] The heat exchange duct (1122B) can be in contact with the cold air supply module (120).
[0138] The first downstream duct (1122C) can be connected to the second condensation duct (1124) and can discharge air into the second condensation duct (1124).
[0139] A first drain (D1) may be formed in the first downstream duct (1122C). Accordingly, water introduced through the inlet (H1) or water condensed in the heat exchange duct (1122B), etc., can be discharged to the outside through the first drain (D1), thereby improving the drying performance of the drying device (100).
[0140] A suction fan (not shown) may be provided at the upstream end (1122U) of the first condensation duct (1122) or around it. The suction fan may be a centrifugal fan. Accordingly, the drying performance can be improved by facilitating air flow, and the dishwasher (1) can be miniaturized by minimizing the length of the first condensation duct (1122) to the side by providing a centrifugal fan.
[0141] The downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122) may be located near the bottom of the rear portion of one side wall (12R) of the tub (12). This will be described later.
[0142] After first examining the cold air supply module (120) associated with the first condensation duct (1122), examine the second condensation duct (1124).
[0143] [Cold Supply Module]
[0144] The cold air supply module (120) may be placed on the outside of the tub (12). At least a portion of the cold air supply module (120) may be in contact with the first condensation duct (1122).
[0145] Specifically, for example, the cold air supply module (120) may be configured to include a first outside air inlet duct (122), a second outside air inlet duct (124), and a heat exchange channel section (126) (Figs. 5 and 7).
[0146] The first outside air inlet duct (122) can be placed at the bottom of the floor (12B), and outside air can be introduced through the upstream end (122U).
[0147] The second outside air inlet duct (124) may face or be in contact with the outer surface of one side wall (12R), and the upstream end (124U) may be connected to the downstream end (122D) of the first outside air inlet duct (122).
[0148] The heat exchange channel (126) can be in contact with the first condensation duct (1122), and the upstream end (126U) can be connected to the downstream end (124D) of the second outside air inlet duct (124).
[0149] Specifically, for example, the heat exchange channel (126) may extend along the outer surface of the first condensation duct (1122). The downstream end (126D) of the heat exchange channel (126) may be positioned approximately parallel to the second direction and the end (1122E) in the width direction (first direction in the drawing) of the first condensation duct (1122) (Figs. 7 and 9). Air may be discharged to the outside through the downstream end (126D) of the heat exchange channel (126).
[0150] Accordingly, the heat exchange channel section (126) can be configured at a low cost with a simple configuration, and the installation space of the heat exchange channel section (126) can be minimized. In addition, since the length of the heat exchange channel section (126) is shortened, the flow resistance is reduced, and the cooling performance can be improved.
[0151] A cooling fan (128) may be provided around the upstream end (122U) of the first outside air inlet duct (122) or inside the first outside air inlet duct (122). The cooling fan (128) may draw in outside air and supply it to the heat exchange channel (126).
[0152] Accordingly, since the cooling fan (128) can be positioned at the bottom of the tub (12), the cooling fan (128) can draw in cold air from the bottom of the tub (12) and supply it to the heat exchange channel (126), thereby improving cooling efficiency. Additionally, since the space at the bottom of the tub (12) is relatively wide, the size of the cooling fan (128) can be increased to improve cooling efficiency.
[0153] Meanwhile, a first connecting duct (123) may be arranged between the first outside air inlet duct (122) and the second outside air inlet duct (124). The first connecting duct (123) may be connected to the downstream end (122D) of the first outside air inlet duct (122) and the upstream end (124U) of the second outside air inlet duct (124) (Fig. 7).
[0154] In this way, the dishwasher may further include a cold air supply module (120) positioned on the outside of the tub (12) and having at least a portion in contact with the first condensation duct (1122). Accordingly, the cold air supply module (120) can effectively remove water vapor contained in the air flowing along the first condensation duct (1122) by condensing it into water. Thus, drying performance can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.
[0155] Additionally, the cold air supply module (120) is configured to include a first outside air inlet duct (122) positioned at the bottom of the floor (12B) through which outside air is introduced, a second outside air inlet duct (124) facing or in contact with the outer surface or outer circumference of one side wall (12R), and a heat exchange passage section (126) in contact with the first condensation duct (1122) and communicating with the second outside air inlet duct (124), thereby effectively removing water vapor contained within the air flowing along the first outside air inlet duct (122) by condensing it into water using cold air from the bottom of the tub (12). Thus, drying performance can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.
[0156] With regard to the heat exchange channel section (126), let us look further at FIGS. 8 and FIGS. 9.
[0157] FIG. 8 is a drawing showing a structure in which some components of the drying device of FIG. 3 to 7 are manufactured as a single unit, and FIG. 9 is a perspective view showing a heat exchange duct and a heat exchange flow path section disposed between the first upstream duct and the first downstream duct in the structure of FIG. 8.
[0158] Referring to FIG. 8, the first upstream duct (1122A), the first downstream duct (1122C), and the second outside air inlet duct (124) can be formed integrally. An empty space may be formed between the first upstream duct (1122A) and the first downstream duct (1122C). In the empty space between the first upstream duct (1122A) and the first downstream duct (1122C), a heat exchange duct (1122B) and a heat exchange passage section (126), which will be examined in FIG. 9, may be installed.
[0159] In this way, the first upstream duct (1122A), the first downstream duct (1122C), and the second outside air inlet duct (124) are formed as a single unit, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost of the drying device (100) and making installation and maintenance easier.
[0160] Referring to FIG. 9, a heat exchange duct (1122B) and a heat exchange passage section (126) may be installed between the first upstream duct (1122A) and the first downstream duct (1122C) in the structure of FIG. 8.
[0161] The heat exchange duct (1122B) may correspond to a flat tubular shape with both ends open and may be connected vertically to the first upstream duct (1122A) and the first downstream duct (1122C) of FIG. 8.
[0162] The heat exchange channel section (126) may be configured to include a plate (1262) and a partition wall (1264).
[0163] The plates (1262A, 1262B) may be positioned facing at least one of the two sides of the second direction of the heat exchange duct (1122B).
[0164] Multiple partition walls (1264A, 1264B) may be provided and may be arranged parallel to each other between one side or the other side of the second direction of the heat exchange duct (1122B) and the plates (1262A, 1262B).
[0165] The plates (1262A, 1262B) and the plurality of partition walls (1264A, 1264B) may extend along the outer surface of the heat exchange duct (1122B) in the width direction of the heat exchange duct (1122B) (the first direction in the drawing) which intersects the direction of air flow inside the heat exchange duct (1122B).
[0166] If the heat exchange duct (1122B) and heat exchange flow path (126) of FIG. 9 are installed in the empty space between the first upstream duct (1122A) and the first downstream duct (1122C) of the structure of FIG. 8, the downstream end (124U) of the second outside air inlet duct (124) can come into contact with the side end of the plate (1262) and the heat exchange duct (1122B) in the first direction. Accordingly, cold air introduced into the second outside air inlet duct (124) can flow into the empty space between the plate (1262) and the heat exchange duct (1122B). At this time, a plurality of flow paths can be formed by a plurality of partition walls (1264) extending in the width direction (the first direction in the drawing) of the heat exchange duct (1122B) between the plate (1262) and the heat exchange duct (1122B).
[0167] That is, cold air introduced into the second outside air inlet duct (124) can flow along a plurality of flow paths formed by the heat exchange duct (1122B), the plate (1262), and a plurality of partition walls (1264). The direction in which the cold air flows along the plurality of flow paths formed by the heat exchange flow path section (126) can intersect with the direction in which the humid air flows along the heat exchange duct (1122B).
[0168] At this time, as described above, the downstream end (126D) of the heat exchange channel section (126) can be positioned approximately parallel to the end (1122E) in the width direction (first direction in the drawing) of the first condensation duct (1122) in the second direction (Fig. 9).
[0169] In this way, the heat exchange channel section (126) is configured to include a plate (1262) positioned facing at least one of the first and second sides of the second direction of the heat exchange duct (1122B), and a plurality of partition walls (1264) positioned parallel to each other between the first or second side of the second direction of the heat exchange duct (1122B) and the plate (1262), thereby allowing the heat exchange channel section (126) to be configured at a low cost with a simple configuration. Additionally, since cold air flows along the outer surface of the heat exchange duct (1122B), the heat exchange efficiency can be improved. Furthermore, since cold air is separated from one another and flows along a plurality of channels, heat exchange is performed evenly over a wide area, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency.
[0170] Meanwhile, as shown in FIG. 9, the heat exchange duct (1122B) and the heat exchange flow path (126) are manufactured separately and then installed between the first upstream duct (1122A) and the first downstream duct (1122C) of the structure of FIG. 8, thereby allowing the drying device (100) to be easily manufactured, replaced, and repaired. Accordingly, manufacturing costs can be reduced and maintenance can be made easier.
[0171] [2nd Condensation Duct]
[0172] FIG. 10 is a perspective view showing a second connecting duct, a second condensation duct, a return duct, a fan housing, a heater, and a distributor according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 11 to 13 are a perspective view, a plan view, and a cross-sectional view showing a second downstream duct, a return duct, a fan housing, and a heater according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 14 is an exploded perspective view showing a second downstream duct, a return duct, a fan housing, a heater, and a distributor according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 15 is a cross-sectional view showing a state in which a fan blade and a motor are installed in the fan housing of FIG. 13.
[0173] Referring further to FIGS. 10 to 15, the second condensation duct (1124) may be positioned at the bottom (12B) of the tub (12). The upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) may be connected to the downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122) (Fig. 7).
[0174] Accordingly, since the condensation duct (112) comes into contact with the low-temperature air at the bottom (12B) of the tub (12), the water vapor contained in the air flowing along the condensation duct (112) is condensed into water and removed. Thus, drying performance can be improved at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0175] Specifically, for example, the second condensation duct (1124) may be configured to include a second upstream duct (1124A) and a second downstream duct (1124B) along the direction of air flow (Figs. 7 and 10). The second upstream duct (1124A) and the second downstream duct (1124B) may be two duct sections of the second condensation duct (1124).
[0176] The second upstream duct (1124A) may be connected to the downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122). The second upstream duct (1124A) may be formed to be inclined approximately downward along the direction of air flow.
[0177] The second downstream duct (1124B) may be connected to the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114). The second downstream duct (1124B) may be formed to be approximately parallel to the horizontal plane or inclined upward along the direction of air flow.
[0178] However, it is not limited to this configuration. Accordingly, the second condensation duct (1124) may not include a downwardly inclined section like the second upstream duct (1124A), and may be composed only of a section parallel to the horizontal plane or inclined upward like the second downstream duct (1124B). In such a case, the second downstream duct (1124B) may be the second condensation duct (1124).
[0179] The slope of the second downstream duct (1124B) may be smaller than the slope of the second upstream duct (1124A) or the first condensation duct (1122).
[0180] The lower surface of the second downstream duct (1124B) can gradually increase in height from near the upstream end (1124BU) of the second downstream duct (1124B) to near the downstream end (1124BD).
[0181] Accordingly, water flowing into or generated in the second downstream duct (1124B) flows away from the fan (130) located near the downstream end (1124BD) of the second downstream duct (1124B), thereby preventing water from flowing into the motor (136) of the fan (130). Thus, since the fan (130) can be prevented from failing due to water, the durability and stability of the drying device (100) can be improved.
[0182] In addition, since water accumulates near the upstream end (1124BU) of the second downstream duct (1124B), if a drain (D2) is formed near the upstream end (1124BU) of the second downstream duct (1124B), the water can be discharged quickly, easily, and effectively. In particular, when water accumulates quickly, the switch (170) described later is pressurized, causing the water to be discharged quickly, thereby improving drying performance. Furthermore, since water can accumulate quickly and be discharged effectively, the size of the drain (D2) and the switch (170) can be reduced. Accordingly, manufacturing and maintenance costs can be reduced, and since the drain (D2) can be opened and closed stably, drying efficiency and energy efficiency can be improved. Additionally, since the humidity of the second downstream duct (1124B) is lowered as water is discharged quickly, it is possible to prevent bacteria or mold from multiplying inside the second downstream duct (1124B).
[0183] Specifically, for example, it may be desirable for the lower surface of the second downstream duct (1124B) to have a slope of 7 degrees or more. The slope must be 7 degrees or more so that when the fan (130) stops operating, the water that has accumulated on the inner wall surface of the second downstream duct (1124B) can flow quickly along the sloped surface (lower surface) of the second downstream duct (1124B) to the vicinity of the upstream end (1124BU) of the second downstream duct (1124B). Accordingly, the water inside the second downstream duct (1124B) can be discharged quickly, easily, and effectively, thereby lowering the humidity of the second downstream duct (1124B) and preventing bacteria or mold from multiplying inside the second downstream duct (1124B).
[0184] The second condensation duct (1124) may be bent near the downstream end (1124D) and extended approximately vertically (e.g., upward). Accordingly, water that flows into the interior of the second condensation duct (1124) or is generated in the second condensation duct (1124) may be prevented from flowing into the interior of the return duct (114).
[0185] However, this configuration is not limited to this. Accordingly, the second condensation duct (1124) may be extended by bending horizontally, for example, near the downstream end (1124D).
[0186] The horizontal straight distance (D1) between the upstream end (1124U) and the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) may be greater than the horizontal straight distance (D2) between the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the outlet (H2) (Fig. 6). For example, the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) may be located beyond the midpoint of the second direction of the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) (Fig. 6).
[0187] Accordingly, even when the outlet (H2) is formed near the inlet (H1) in the horizontal direction to improve drying performance, the horizontal length of the return duct (114) communicating with the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the outlet (H2) can be increased, and the distance between the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114) can be increased. Therefore, a heater (350) having a sufficiently large size can be placed inside or outside the return duct (114), and a fan (130) can be provided between the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114). Accordingly, the drying performance of the dishwasher (1) can be improved with a simple configuration, and the dishwasher (1) can have a small size and a compact structure.
[0188] As described above, the downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122) is located near the bottom of the rear portion of the side wall (12R), and the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) can be located near the side end of the rear portion of the bottom (12B) (Figs. 3, 5 and 7). Accordingly, since both the downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122) and the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) are located in the rear portion of the tub (12), such as the inlet (H1) and outlet (H2), the condensation duct (112) can be formed in a shape that is approximately close to a straight line and can be shortened in length. Accordingly, flow resistance is reduced, and drying performance can be improved.
[0189] A second drain (D2, FIG. 13) penetrating the duct wall of the second condensation duct (1124) may be formed in the second condensation duct (1124).
[0190] Additionally, a water retention groove (P) may be formed on the lower surface of the second condensation duct (1124). The second drain (D2) may be formed by penetrating the duct wall at the bottom of the water retention groove (P) in an approximately vertical direction.
[0191] Accordingly, since water can move away from the air flow path and quickly and easily collect in the water collection groove (P) below the air flow path, water can be discharged quickly and effectively with a simple configuration.
[0192] The cross-sectional area of the water collection groove (P) can gradually decrease as it extends downward. Accordingly, water can collect more quickly and easily and be effectively discharged. As a result, drying performance is improved and humidity is lowered, which prevents the proliferation of bacteria or mold inside. Additionally, since water can collect quickly and easily and be effectively discharged, the size of the drain (D2) and the opening / closing device (170) can be made smaller. Consequently, manufacturing and maintenance costs can be reduced, and since the drain (D2) can be opened and closed stably, drying efficiency and energy efficiency can be improved.
[0193] The second drain (D2) may be kept open at all times or opened and closed depending on the situation. If the second drain (D2) is kept open at all times, air inside the drying duct (110) that is drier or warmer than the outside air may be discharged to the outside through the second drain (D2), and pressure loss may occur. In addition, outside air that is colder or more humid than the air inside the drying duct (110) may flow into the drying duct (110), which may reduce drying efficiency. Consequently, energy efficiency or drying efficiency may be reduced. Therefore, since it may be desirable for the second drain (D2) to be opened and closed depending on the situation, an opening / closing device (170) must be installed in the second drain (D2).
[0194] The second drain (D2) and the switch (170) will be described later.
[0195] A water level sensor (not shown) may be provided in the second condensation duct (1124). The water level sensor can detect the height of water collected on the lower surface of the second condensation duct (1124) and can transmit information regarding the water height to the control unit (200, FIG. 1).
[0196] Meanwhile, a second connecting duct (1123) may be arranged between the first condensation duct (1122) and the second condensation duct (1124). The second connecting duct (1123) may be connected to the downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122) and the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) (Fig. 7).
[0197] In this way, the condensation duct (112) is configured to include a first condensation duct (1122) facing the outer surface of one side wall (12R) and having its upstream end connected to an inlet (H1); and a second condensation duct (1124) disposed at the bottom (12B) and having its upstream end connected to the downstream end of the first condensation duct (1122). As a result, the condensation duct (112) comes into contact with the low-temperature air on the outer side of one side wall (12R) and the bottom of the bottom (12B) of the tub (12), so that water vapor contained in the air flowing along the condensation duct (112) condenses into water and is removed. Therefore, drying performance can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.
[0198] [Return Duct]
[0199] The return duct (114) may be located between the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) and the second condensation duct (1124). For example, at least a portion of the return duct (114) may be located above and below the second condensation duct (1124) below the bottom (12B) of the tub (12). That is, at least a portion of the return duct (114) may be placed above the second condensation duct (1124).
[0200] Accordingly, it is possible to prevent water from flowing into the second condensation duct (1124) through the inlet (H1) or water condensed in the condensation duct (112) from flowing into the return duct (114). Therefore, since it is possible to prevent water from the condensation duct (112) from flowing into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) communicating with the return duct (114), drying performance can be improved. In other words, drying performance can be improved by preventing water from flowing back.
[0201] Additionally, the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114) can be connected to the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124), and the downstream end (114D) can be connected to the outlet (H2).
[0202] For example, the downstream end (114D) of the return duct (114) can be connected to a distributor (150) that is inserted into the interior of the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) and discharges air into the washing space (12S).
[0203] The second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114) may be located only at the lower part (B11, B12, B13) of the bottom (12B) of the tub (12). Accordingly, since the second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114) are located at the rear part of the tub (12) along with the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1), the second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114) can be formed in a shape that is approximately close to a straight line, and the length of the duct (1124, 114) can be reduced. Accordingly, the flow resistance is reduced, and drying performance can be improved. In addition, the dishwasher (1) can have a small size and a compact structure.
[0204] The return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) can come into contact with each other vertically at a predetermined point between the upstream and downstream ends of the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124).
[0205] Specifically, for example, the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) may be in contact with each other vertically along the longitudinal direction of the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) at least in a portion.
[0206] A single partition wall (W) separating the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) may be disposed at a predetermined point or part where the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) come into contact with each other.
[0207] Specifically, for example, the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) can be separated by a dividing wall (W) arranged along the longitudinal direction of the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) (Figs. 12 to 15).
[0208] Accordingly, the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) can be easily manufactured at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0209] Additionally, since the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) are partitioned by a single dividing wall (W), some of the heat generated by the heater (140) placed inside the return duct (114) can be easily transferred to the second condensation duct (1124). Accordingly, the small amount of water inside the second condensation duct (1124) vaporizes due to the heat transferred to the second condensation duct (1124), thereby lowering the humidity of the second condensation duct (1124) and preventing the proliferation of bacteria or mold inside the second condensation duct (1124).
[0210] A third drain (D3, FIG. 13) may be formed in the return duct (114). Specifically, a third drain (D3) communicating with the interior of the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) may be formed at a predetermined point or part where the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) come into contact with each other. For example, the third drain (D3) may be formed by penetrating the aforementioned separation wall (W).
[0211] When a third drain (D3) is formed in the return duct (114), water introduced through the outlet (H2) or water condensed in the return duct (114) can be discharged to the outside of the return duct (114) through the third drain (D3), so the drying performance of the drying device (100) can be improved with a simple configuration.
[0212] Here, the outside of the return duct (114) may be the inside of the second condensation duct (1124) (Fig. 13). Accordingly, when water that has flowed into the return duct (114) through the outlet (H2) or water that has condensed in the return duct (114) is discharged to the outside of the return duct (114) through the third drain (D3), it may flow into the second condensation duct (1124).
[0213] The third drain (D3), like the second drain (D2) described above, may be preferably opened or closed depending on the situation to prevent a decrease in energy efficiency or drying efficiency.
[0214] However, as shown in the drawing, if the third drain (D3) is formed at the aforementioned predetermined point or part where the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) come into contact with each other, the third drain (D3) may be kept open at all times.
[0215] Even if the third drain (D3) is always open, the air flowing along the return duct (114) is not discharged to the outside of the drying duct (110) through the third drain (D3) but is discharged to the second condensation duct (1124) of the drying duct (110). Therefore, dry or warm air is not lost to the outside and there is no pressure loss to the outside, so the energy efficiency or drying efficiency may not be significantly reduced.
[0216] That is, if the third drain (D3) is formed at the aforementioned predetermined point or part where the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) come into contact with each other, there is no need to install a separate configuration such as the opening / closing device (170) described later for opening and closing the third drain (D3) at the third drain (D3). Accordingly, the configuration of the drying device (100) is simplified, and manufacturing, installation, and maintenance costs can be reduced.
[0217] In addition, when the third drain (D3) is always open, water generated or flowing on the lower surface of the return duct (114) is discharged into the second condensation duct (1124) through the third drain (D3), so water does not accumulate on the lower surface of the return duct (114). Therefore, even if the heater (140) is placed inside the return duct (114), it is possible to prevent the humidity of the air from increasing as a large amount of water is vaporized into steam by the heater (140). Accordingly, drying performance can be improved. In addition, since the aforementioned water level sensor does not need to be provided in the return duct (114) and only needs to be provided in the second condensation duct (1124), manufacturing / management costs can be reduced.
[0218] [Pan]
[0219] The fan (130) may be positioned downstream of the second drain (D2). Here, the downstream side may refer to the downstream side of the air flow path flowing from the inlet (H1) to the outlet (H2) along the drying duct (110). Since the second drain (D2) is formed in the second condensation duct (1124), the fan (130) may be formed downstream of the drain (D2) within the second condensation duct (1124). Additionally, the fan (130) may be formed near the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) or in the return duct (114), etc.
[0220] For example, the fan (130) may be provided between the downstream end (1124D) of the condensation duct (112) and the downstream end (114D) of the return duct (114). Specifically, for example, as shown in the drawing, the fan (130) may be placed between the second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114).
[0221] Accordingly, the fan (130) can prevent the generation of vortices and facilitate the flow of air downstream of the drying duct (110), where the change in the direction of air flow is large (e.g., between the condensation duct and the return duct). Therefore, since the air flow resistance does not increase, the drying performance of the drying device (100) can be improved.
[0222] In addition, since the fan (130) is positioned downstream of the second drain (D2), negative pressure can be formed in the second drain (D2). This will be described later.
[0223] The fan (130) can be connected to the second condensation duct (1124) (Fig. 15). For example, the fan (130) can be connected downward to the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124).
[0224] Additionally, the fan (130) can be connected to the return duct (114) (Fig. 15). For example, the fan (130) can be connected laterally to the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114).
[0225] The fan (130) can be placed at the upper end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) (Fig. 15).
[0226] Accordingly, the motor (136) of the fan (130) can be prevented from entering the condensation duct (112) or coming into contact with water condensed in the condensation duct (112). Therefore, since water entering the motor (136) of the fan (130) can prevent the fan (130) from malfunctioning, the durability and stability of the drying device (100) can be improved.
[0227] The fan (130) can circulate air inside the drying duct (110). For example, the fan (130) can draw in air from the upstream side of the fan (130) and introduce it to the downstream side of the fan (130).
[0228] Accordingly, the fan (130) can form negative pressure on the upstream side of the fan (130) by drawing in air from the upstream side of the fan (130), and can form positive pressure on the downstream side of the fan (130) by discharging air from the downstream side of the fan (130). Here, the negative pressure may be a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure, and the positive pressure may be a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure.
[0229] When the fan (130) is operating or the fan (130) is strong, if negative pressure is formed on the upstream side of the fan (130), external air can flow into the second condensation duct (1124) through the second drain (D2) when the second drain (D2) is open. However, if a switch (170) is installed in the second drain (D2), the switch (170) may move due to the negative pressure to close the second drain (D2). This will be described later.
[0230] On the other hand, if the fan (130) stops operating or the fan (130) is weak, no negative pressure is formed on the upstream side of the fan (130), so the switch (170) can move back to its original position and open the second drain (D2).
[0231] The fan (130) may be configured to include a fan blade (132), a fan housing (134), and a motor (136).
[0232] The fan blade (132) can be fixedly coupled to the rotation axis (138) and rotated by the motor (136). The fan blade (132) can be accommodated in the fan housing (134).
[0233] The fan housing (134) can be connected to the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114).
[0234] For example, the fan housing (134) may have a through hole formed on its lower surface so as to communicate downward with the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) (Fig. 15). Additionally, the fan housing (134) may have a through hole formed on its side so as to communicate laterally with the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114) (Fig. 15).
[0235] The fan housing (134) may be configured to include an upper wall (134T). The upper wall (134T) may be positioned between the fan blade (132) and the motor (136) positioned above the fan blade (132).
[0236] Accordingly, even if the fan blade (132) comes into contact with water that has flowed into the return duct (114) through the outlet (H2), the water in contact with the fan blade (132) may be blocked by the upper wall (134T) and may not come into contact with the motor (136). As a result, it is possible to prevent water from flowing into the motor (136) and causing the fan (130) to malfunction, thereby improving the durability and stability of the drying device (100).
[0237] A hole through which a rotation axis (138) passes can be formed in the upper wall (134T).
[0238] The motor (136) can be coupled to the fan blade (132) via a rotating shaft (138). The motor (136) can rotate the fan blade (132).
[0239] The motor (136) can be positioned on the upper part of the fan blade (132). Additionally, the motor (136) can be positioned on the upper wall (134T).
[0240] The rotation axis (138) of the fan (130) can be extended approximately vertically.
[0241] Accordingly, since the fan (130) can be installed horizontally between the second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114), a fan (130) having a sufficiently large size can be installed even if the installation space or installation location is limited. Accordingly, the drying performance of the dishwasher (1) can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration, and the dishwasher (1) can have a small size and a compact structure. At this time, the fan (130) may be a centrifugal fan. In addition, since the motor (136) can be placed on the upper part of the fan blade (132), water can be prevented from entering the motor (136).
[0242] [heater]
[0243] A heater (140) may be provided between the downstream end (1124D) of the condensation duct (112) and the downstream end (114D) of the return duct (114). For example, the heater (140) may be placed in the return duct (114).
[0244] Accordingly, the heater (140) heats the air downstream of the drying duct (110) near the outlet (H2) (e.g., return duct) and discharges the high-temperature, dry air into the washing space (12S), so that drying performance can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.
[0245] The heater (140) may be placed inside the return duct (114) (Figs. 10 to 15). However, it is not limited to this configuration. For example, unlike the drawings, the heater (140) may be placed outside the return duct (114) adjacent to the return duct (114).
[0246] In this way, since the heater (140) is positioned inside the return duct (114), the air inside the return duct (114) near the outlet (H2) can be effectively heated without heat loss, so that the heated air discharged into the washing space (12S) can effectively remove moisture remaining on dishes, etc. inside the washing space (12S). Accordingly, drying performance can be improved at low cost with a simple configuration.
[0247] Additionally, since the heater (140) is positioned inside the return duct (114), the heater (140) is positioned far away from the condensation duct (112) so as not to come into contact with the water condensed in the condensation duct (112), the heat generated by the heater (140) can be prevented from vaporizing the large amount of water collected in the condensation duct (112). Accordingly, the air inside the return duct (114) can be discharged into the washing space (12S) in a high-temperature, dry state, thereby improving drying performance.
[0248] The heater (140) can heat the air inside the drying duct (110).
[0249] In this way, the drying device (100) is configured to include a drying duct (110), a fan (130), and a heater (140), and the drying duct (110) is positioned outside the tub (12) and includes a condensation duct (112) and a return duct (114), thereby allowing the drying performance to be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.
[0250] [Distributor]
[0251] The distributor (150) may be configured to include an insert (152) and a lid (154) as shown in FIG. 14.
[0252] The lower end of the insert (152) can be connected to the downstream end (114D) of the return duct (114), and the upper end of the insert (152) can be connected to the lid (374). The insert (152) can be installed by passing through the outlet (H2) formed in the bottom (12B) of the tub (12).
[0253] Through the insertion part (152), heated air from the return duct (114) can be introduced into the inside of the cleaning space (12S).
[0254] The lid (154) can be installed on the top of the insertion part (152) and placed inside the cleaning space (12S).
[0255] The lid (154) can prevent water inside the washing space (12S) from flowing into the insertion part (152) and the return duct (114).
[0256] Additionally, the lid (154) can prevent the air exiting the insertion part (152) from facing upward in the vertical direction when it flows into the washing space (12S). Accordingly, since the above-mentioned i) is satisfied, the dry air flowing into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) can effectively circulate throughout the washing space (12S) until it flows into the drying device (100) through the inlet (H1), thereby improving drying efficiency.
[0257] [Switch and Second Drain]
[0258] FIGS. 16 and 17 are a cross-sectional view and a partial perspective view showing the state in which the second drain of FIGS. 13 and 15 is closed by a switch according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIGS. 18 and 19 are cross-sectional views showing the state in which the second drain of FIGS. 16 and 17 is opened by a switch. FIGS. 20 to 22 are a perspective view, a front view, and a side view showing the switch of FIGS. 16 to 19.
[0259] Referring to FIGS. 16 to 19, the switch (170) may be installed in the second drain (D2). The second drain (D2) may be configured to include one or more first through holes (D2A, D2B) and / or second through holes (D2C) that penetrate the duct wall of the second condensation duct (1124).
[0260] The switch (170) can move a predetermined distance in the through direction (up and down direction in the drawing) of the first through hole (D2A, D2B) to close (Figs. 16 and 17) or open (Figs. 18 and 19).
[0261] Specifically, the opening / closing device (170) can open / close the second drain (D2) by moving a predetermined distance in the direction of penetration of the first through hole (D2A, D2B), for example, depending on whether the fan (130) is operating or its strength and the amount of water collected around the second drain (D2) or the second drain (D2).
[0262] For example, if a fan (130) is positioned between the downstream end of the second condensation duct (1124) and the downstream end of the return duct (114), which are downstream of the second drain (D2), and the second drain (D2) is formed in the second condensation duct (1124) and a switch (170) is installed in the second drain (D2), then when the fan (130) operates or the fan (130) is strong, negative pressure is formed in the second condensation duct (1124), so the switch (170) can move a predetermined distance into the second condensation duct (1124) along the through-direction of the first through-hole (D2A, D2B) to close the second drain (D).
[0263] On the other hand, if the fan (130) does not operate or the strength of the fan (130) is weak, negative pressure is not formed in the second condensation duct (1124), so the opening / closing device (170) can move to the outside of the second condensation duct (1124) along the direction of penetration of the first through hole (D2A, D2B) by the weight of the opening / closing device (170) or the weight of the water accumulated around the drain (D2) and the drain (D2), thereby opening the second drain (D).
[0264] In addition, since the pressure due to the weight of the water applied to the opening / closing device (170) varies depending on the amount of water collected in the second drain (D2) or around the second drain (D2), the opening / closing device (170) can open / close the second drain (D) according to the amount of water.
[0265] For example, when the fan (130) stops operating, negative pressure is no longer formed in the second condensation duct (1124), so water that had accumulated on the inner wall of the second condensation duct (1124) due to negative pressure flows along the inclined surface of the second condensation duct (1124) (the inclined surface of the second downstream duct) and collects around the second drain (D2), so the opening / closing device (170) opens the second drain (D) by the weight of the collected water, allowing the water to be discharged to the outside.
[0266] Accordingly, since the switch (170) opens and closes the second drain (D2) according to the direction of the pressure acting on the switch (170), the structure of the switch (170) can be simplified and the switch (170) can be easily manufactured at a low cost. In addition, since the second drain (D) is automatically opened and closed depending on the situation, drying efficiency and energy efficiency can be improved. Furthermore, since water is discharged and humidity is lowered, it is possible to prevent bacteria or mold from multiplying inside the duct (1124).
[0267] Referring to FIGS. 20 to 22, the opener (170) may include a blocking plate (172) that opens and closes the first through holes (D2A, D2B) and one or more locking bodies (174) that extend upward from the upper surface of the blocking plate (172) and are configured to include a body portion (1742) and a head portion (1744). One or more locking bodies (174) may correspond to one or more first through holes (D2A, D2B) included in the second drain (D2).
[0268] The body portion (1742) may be connected to the blocking plate (172) at its lower end and positioned through the first through-holes (D2A, D2B). The head portion (1744) may be connected to the upper end of the body portion (1742). The length of the body portion (1742) may be longer than the length in the penetration direction (upward and downward direction in the drawing) of the first through-holes (D2A, D2B) through which the body portion (1742) passes.
[0269] The cross-sectional area of the body portion (1742) may be smaller than the cross-sectional area of the first through-hole (D2A, D2B) through which the body portion (1742) passes. The maximum cross-sectional area of the head portion (1744) and the blocking plate (172) may be larger than the cross-sectional area of the first through-hole (D2A, D2B) through which the body portion (1742) passes.
[0270] Accordingly, the body portion (1742) of the catch (174) penetrating the first through hole (D2A, D2B) cannot exit the first through hole (D2A, D2B), water can be discharged and air can be introduced through the empty space between the first through hole (D2A, D2B) and the body portion (1742), and the opener (170) can move a predetermined distance in the penetrating direction of the first through hole (D2A, D2B). Therefore, the opener (170) that opens and closes the second drain (D2) according to the direction of pressure acting on the opener (170) can be easily manufactured with a simple configuration and at low cost. Here, the predetermined distance may be the difference between the length of the body portion (1742) and the length in the penetrating direction of the first through hole (D2A, D2B).
[0271] The switch (170) can be formed of rubber material.
[0272] The catch portion (174) can be inserted through the first through hole (D2A, D2B) by a press fit method. Specifically, the head portion (1744) can be inserted through the first through hole (D2A, D2B) from the outside to the inside of the second condensation duct (1124).
[0273] The head portion (1744) may include a height section (HS1, FIG. 21) in which the cross-sectional area gradually decreases as it moves away from the blocking plate (172). That is, the head portion (1744) may include a height section (HS1, FIG. 21) in which the cross-sectional area gradually decreases as it moves upward away from the blocking plate (172).
[0274] Accordingly, the head portion (1744) is inserted into the first through-hole (D2A, D2B) from the upper part of the height section (HS1) far from the blocking plate (172), and can be inserted easily and stably as the lower part of the height section (HS1), which has a larger cross-sectional area, is elastically deformed downward. On the other hand, since the lower part of the height section (HS1) of the head portion (1744) close to the blocking plate (172) is difficult to elastically deform upward, the head portion (1744) cannot exit the first through-hole (D2A, D2B) after passing through it. Therefore, the head portion (1744) can stably secure the switch (170) to the first through-hole (D2A, D2B).
[0275] Meanwhile, the drain (D2) may include a plurality of first through holes (D2A, D2B). At least two first through holes (D2A, D2B) may be formed symmetrically on both sides with respect to a virtual straight line (L1, FIG. 16) that passes through the midpoint of the positions of at least two first through holes (D2A, D2B) and extends along the longitudinal direction of the second condensation duct (1124).
[0276] Accordingly, a plurality of catches (174) that pass through the first through holes (D2A, D2B) corresponding to the first through holes (D2A, D2B) may also be provided on the blocking plate (172), and at least two catches (174) may be formed symmetrically on both sides of the blocking plate (172) with respect to a virtual straight line (L1, FIG. 16) that passes through the midpoint of the positions of at least two catches (174) and extends along the longitudinal direction of the second condensation duct (1124).
[0277] Accordingly, since the distance from the at least two catches (174) to the fan (130) is similar, even if multiple catches (174) are provided on the blocking plate (172), the magnitude of the pressure exerted by the fan (130) on at least two catches (174) can be similar. Accordingly, when the opener (170) moves a predetermined distance in the direction of penetration of the first through hole (D2A, D2B), it can maintain balance without tilting to one side. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the opener (170) from being obliquely stuck in the drain (D2) and thus preventing the opening and closing of the drain (D2).
[0278] The drain (D2) may be configured to further include a second through hole (D2C) that penetrates the duct wall of the second condensation duct (1124).
[0279] Unlike the first through hole (D2A, D2B), the body portion (1742) of the catch (174) is not inserted into the second through hole (D2C), and the head portion (1744) of the catch (174) does not block the second through hole (D2C).
[0280] Accordingly, water can be discharged quickly and effectively through the second through hole (D2C). Additionally, since the area where the negative air pressure or water pressure acts on the switch (170) through the second through hole (D2C) increases, the total amount of force (external force) due to the negative pressure or water pressure increases, so that the opening and closing of the drain (D2) can be performed quickly and stably.
[0281] The second through hole (D2C) may have a larger cross-sectional area than the first through holes (D2A, D2B). Accordingly, water can be discharged more quickly and effectively through the second through hole (D2C). Additionally, since the area over which the negative air pressure or water pressure acts on the switch (170) through the second through hole (D2C) increases, the total amount of force (external force) due to the negative pressure or water pressure increases, allowing the opening and closing of the drain (D2) to be performed more quickly and stably.
[0282] The drain (D2) includes a plurality of first through holes (D2A, D2B), and the plurality of first through holes (D2A, D2B) can be formed at approximately equal intervals centered on the second through hole (D2C).
[0283] Accordingly, a plurality of catches (174) that penetrate the first through holes (D2A, D2B) corresponding to the first through holes (D2A, D2B) may also be provided on the blocking plate (172), and the plurality of catches (174) may be formed on the blocking plate (172) at approximately equal intervals centered on a predetermined position on the blocking plate (172) corresponding to the second through hole (D2C).
[0284] Accordingly, the forces acting on the opener (170) through the multiple first through holes (D2A, D2B) arranged at equal intervals centered on the second through hole (D2C) can be balanced without being concentrated on one side. Therefore, even if a relatively large force is applied to the opener (170) through the second through hole (D2C), the opener (170) can maintain balance without tilting to one side when moving a predetermined distance in the through-direction of the first through holes (D2A, D2B). Thus, it is possible to prevent the opener (170) from being obliquely stuck in the drain (D2) and the opening and closing of the drain (D2) from being performed.
[0285] The drain (D2) includes two or more first through holes (D2A, D2B), and at least two first through holes (D2A, D2B) may be formed symmetrically on both sides with respect to a virtual straight line (L1, FIG. 16) that passes through the second through hole (D2C) and extends along the longitudinal direction of the second condensation duct (1124).
[0286] Accordingly, a plurality of catches (174) that pass through the first through holes (D2A, D2B) corresponding to the first through holes (D2A, D2B) may also be provided on the blocking plate (172), and at least two catches (174) may be formed symmetrically on both sides of the blocking plate (172) with respect to a virtual straight line (L1, FIG. 16) that passes through a predetermined position on the blocking plate (172) corresponding to the second through hole (D2C) and extends along the longitudinal direction of the second condensation duct (1124).
[0287] Accordingly, the distance from at least two catches (174) to the fan (130) is similar, centered on a predetermined position on the blocking plate (172) corresponding to the second through hole (D2C). Therefore, even if a large force is applied to the predetermined position through the second through hole (D2C) and multiple catches (174) are provided on the blocking plate (172), the magnitude of the pressure applied to at least two catches (174) by the fan (130) can be similar. Accordingly, when the opener (170) moves a predetermined distance in the through direction of the first through hole (D2A, D2B), it can maintain balance without tilting to one side. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the opener (170) from being obliquely stuck in the drain (D2) and thus preventing the opening and closing of the drain (D2).
[0288] At least two first through holes (D2A, D2B) and the second through hole (D2C), which are formed symmetrically on both sides with respect to a virtual straight line (L1, FIG. 16) that passes through the second through hole (D2C) and extends along the longitudinal direction of the second condensation duct (1124), can be formed on a straight line (L2, FIG. 16).
[0289] Accordingly, the positions of at least two catches (174) formed symmetrically on both sides of the blocking plate (172) and the positions on the blocking plate (172) corresponding to the second through hole (D2C), with respect to a virtual straight line (L1, FIG. 16) extending along the longitudinal direction of the second condensation duct (1124) passing through a predetermined position on the blocking plate (172) corresponding to the second through hole (D2C), can form a straight line (L2, FIG. 16).
[0290] Accordingly, since the distance from a predetermined position on the blocking plate (172) corresponding to the second through hole (D2C) where a large force is applied to the opener (170) to the fan (130) and the distance from the at least two catches (174) to the fan (130) are both similar, the opener (170) can maintain balance without tilting, for example, in the longitudinal direction of the second condensation duct (1124) when it moves a predetermined distance in the through direction of the first through hole (D2A, D2B). Therefore, it is possible to prevent the opener (170) from being stuck in the drain (D2), for example, at an angle in the longitudinal direction, so that the opening and closing of the drain (D2) is not performed.
[0291] The switch (170) may include a protrusion (176) that protrudes upward from the upper surface of the blocking plate (172) and is inserted into the second through hole (D2C).
[0292] Accordingly, when negative pressure is applied to the second through hole (D2C) by the fan (130) and outside air flows into the second condensation duct (1124) through the second through hole (D2C), the protrusion (176) reduces the space (area) through which outside air flows, thereby increasing the speed of outside air inflow and allowing the pressure around the protrusion (176) to decrease even more significantly. Therefore, even if the magnitude of the negative pressure applied to the second through hole (D2C) by the fan (130) is small, the second drain (D2) can be closed more quickly and stably.
[0293] The protrusion (176) may include a height section (HS2, FIG. 21) in which the cross-sectional area gradually decreases as it extends upward relative to the upper surface of the blocking plate (172). Accordingly, when the second drain (D2) is opened, water can be discharged quickly and effectively along the vertical slope of the protrusion (176). Additionally, when the second drain (D2) is closed, the opening / closing mechanism (170) can move in the correct position along the vertical slope of the protrusion (176) and in the direction of penetration of the first through hole (D2A, D2B), so that the opening and closing of the second drain (D2) can be performed stably with a simple configuration.
[0294] [Control Unit]
[0295] The dishwasher (1) may further include a control unit (200, FIG. 1).
[0296] The control unit (200) can receive information regarding the water level from a water level sensor (not shown). If the value included in the information regarding the water level is above a threshold value, the control unit (200) can discharge water by warning the user or stopping the operation of the fan (130) so that the second drain (D2) can be opened.
[0297] Accordingly, water can be prevented from entering the motor (136) of the fan (130), thereby improving the durability and stability of the drying device (100).
[0298] Meanwhile, the second downstream duct (1124B), fan housing (134), and return duct (114) of FIGS. 11 to 13 may be configured to include a first housing (C1), a second housing (C2), a third housing (C3), and a fourth housing (C4), as shown in FIG. 14.
[0299] The first housing (C1) is positioned at the bottom and can be opened upward.
[0300] The second housing (C2) is positioned on top of the first housing (C1) and can be combined with the first housing (C1).
[0301] The third housing (C3) is open downward and positioned on the upper part of the second housing (C2), and can be combined with the second housing (C2).
[0302] The fourth housing (C4) is positioned on the upper part of one end of the second housing (C2) and can be combined with the second housing (C2).
[0303] The second downstream duct (1124B) may be defined by the first housing (C1) and the second housing (C2), and the return duct (114) may be defined by the second housing (C2) and the third housing (C3). The aforementioned partition wall (W) may be the bottom of the second housing (C2).
[0304] The fan housing (134) may be defined by one end of the second housing (C2) and the fourth housing (C4). That is, a part of the fan housing (134) (one end of the second housing) may be formed integrally with a part of the return duct (114) (the remaining part of the second housing). The fourth housing (C4) may be the upper wall (134T) of the aforementioned fan housing (134).
[0305] The aforementioned second drain (D2) may be formed on the bottom of the first housing (C1), and the aforementioned third drain (D3) may be formed on the bottom of the second housing (C2).
[0306] The heater (140) can be placed in the inner space formed by combining the second housing (C2) and the third housing (C3). At this time, a fixing part (142) having high heat resistance and low thermal conductivity can be fixed to the second housing (C2) or the third housing (C3), and the heater (140) can be installed by connecting it to the fixing part (142). Accordingly, the second housing (C2) or the third housing (C3) can be prevented from being damaged by the heater (140).
[0307] In this way, the second downstream duct (1124B), the fan housing (134), and the return duct (114) are combined with the first housing (C1), the second housing (C2), the third housing (C3), and the fourth housing (C4), so that the drying device (100) can be manufactured simply and easily, maintenance can be easy, and the drying device (100) can have a small size and a compact structure.
[0308] Meanwhile, for convenience, the drying duct (110) is described as being composed of a condensation duct (112) and a return duct (114), but the condensation duct (112) and the return duct (114) can be formed as a single unit.
[0309] The first condensation duct (1122) and the second condensation duct (1124) can also be formed as a single unit.
[0310] The above ducts (110, 112, 1122, 1124, 114) may be made of a metal material such as aluminum or stainless steel.
[0311] The above ducts (110, 112, 1122, 1124, 114) can be manufactured by sheet metal forming or injection molding.
[0312] A part of the drying device (100), such as the fan (130), can be formed of plastic.
[0313] Although the present invention has been described above with reference to the illustrated drawings, the present invention is not limited by the embodiments and drawings disclosed in this specification, and it is obvious that various modifications can be made by a person skilled in the art within the scope of the technical concept of the present invention.
