Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an oil collecting device capable of effectively collecting and storing oil or contaminants contained in the air, and more specifically, to an oil collecting device for a ceiling duct that is detachably coupled to a ventilation duct installed on the ceiling to separate and collect oil from the inhaled air and to allow for easy separation of the collected oil. Background Technology

[0002] In general, commercial kitchens, restaurants, fried food shops, and bakeries generate large amounts of oil vapor and smoke during the cooking process, which are a major cause of deteriorating indoor air quality and increased fire hazards. To address this, ventilation systems utilizing ceiling-mounted ductwork are commonly used to expel oil vapor and contaminated air to the outside.

[0003] However, existing duct systems are structured to directly discharge oil vapors to the outside along with air, which can cause large amounts of oil to adhere or condense inside the ducts and around external outlets, potentially leading to environmental pollution and, in the long term, violations of local government environmental standards.

[0004] In particular, when oil cools and solidifies as it is discharged along the inside of the duct, it accumulates in outlets or exhaust fans, which not only reduces ventilation efficiency but also causes an increased risk of fire. Furthermore, oil deposited inside the duct is very difficult to clean and requires expensive equipment or specialized personnel, resulting in significant costs and time for maintenance.

[0005] To address these issues, grease traps attached to the exterior of ducts to collect oil have recently been introduced; among them, magnetic grease traps that use magnets to attach to the lower part of ceiling ducts or external surfaces have been commercialized. While the magnetic structure offers the advantage of easy installation without the need for a separate ceiling fixing process, structural limitations are causing various problems in terms of maintenance.

[0006] For example, in magnetic oil collectors, the strong magnetic force during attachment and detachment makes the process of removing the device rough, causing the oil collected inside to shake or flow violently and leak to the outside.

[0007] This causes problems with oil contamination around the ceiling or adjacent equipment during cleaning operations, and is a cause of deteriorating hygiene and the working environment.

[0008] In addition, due to the characteristics of the magnetic attachment structure, the oil collection device may detach or shift position due to gravity or vibration during prolonged use, which can lead to reduced oil collection efficiency and problems with installation stability.

[0009] Consequently, while existing magnetic oil catchers have the advantage of easy installation, they have practical disadvantages such as oil flow issues during attachment and detachment, instability in fixed position, and leakage of internal oil, thus requiring a structure that compensates for these shortcomings. Prior art literature

[0011] The present invention is devised to solve the problems of the aforementioned prior art, and aims to provide an oil collecting device capable of separating and collecting oil outside the duct in advance so as to fundamentally reduce environmental pollution, oil accumulation inside the duct, reduced ventilation efficiency, and fire risk that occur when air containing oil vapor is directly discharged to the outside through a duct system.

[0012] In addition, the purpose is to provide an oil catcher that can improve the problem of rapid oil flow and external leakage when performing separation work, and prevent oil from flowing out or contaminating the surrounding environment during maintenance.

[0013] In addition, another objective is to provide a structure that enhances the installation stability of the oil collection device and prevents the device from easily shaking or detaching during repeated attachment and detachment processes through mechanical fixing structures such as a sliding mechanism, thereby maintaining stable collection performance and hygiene even during long-term use.
