Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a scroll compressor, and more specifically, to a scroll compressor that can minimize deformation of the valve plate in an injection valve assembly and maintain a flat shape so that deformation is not transmitted to the inner part supporting the injection valve even when the bead portion of the gasket retainer is pressed. Background Technology

[0002] Generally, automobiles are equipped with an air conditioning (A / C) system for heating and cooling the interior. As a component of the cooling system, this air conditioning system includes a compressor that compresses low-temperature, low-pressure gaseous refrigerant drawn in from the evaporator into high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous refrigerant and sends it to the condenser.

[0003] Compressors are classified into reciprocating types, which compress refrigerant through the reciprocating motion of a piston, and rotary types, which perform compression through rotational motion. Depending on the drive source transmission method, reciprocating types include crank types, which use a crank to transmit power to multiple pistons, and swashplate types, which transmit power via a shaft equipped with swashplates. Rotary types include vane rotary types, which use a rotating rotary shaft and vanes, and scroll types, which use a slewing scroll and a fixed scroll.

[0004] Scroll compressors are widely used for refrigerant compression in air conditioning systems and the like due to their advantages, such as the ability to achieve a relatively high compression ratio compared to other types of compressors, and stable torque resulting from the smooth succession of the refrigerant suction, compression, and discharge strokes.

[0005] The conventional scroll compressor disclosed in Prior Art 1 (Korean Patent Publication No. 2018-0094483) undergoes a series of processes in which only the refrigerant at the suction pressure is sucked into the compression chamber, compressed, and then discharged to the outside. However, in such a conventional scroll compressor, the amount of refrigerant discharged from the compression chamber is fixed, which has a problem in that there are limitations to improving the performance and efficiency of the compressor.

[0006] To solve this, prior art document 2 (Korean Patent Publication No. 2021-0118743) discloses a scroll compressor equipped with an injection valve assembly (700) that includes an injection valve and a leak prevention means for opening and closing an injection path that guides an intermediate pressure refrigerant flowing in from the outside of the compressor into a compression chamber (C), as illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2.

[0007] Specifically, the injection valve assembly (700) includes a cover plate (710), an injection valve (720), a valve plate (730), and a gasket retainer (790) as a means of preventing leakage. The gasket retainer (790) is compressed between the cover plate (710) and the valve plate (730) to seal the space between them, and accordingly, the injection valve (720) is compressed and fixed together between the cover plate (710) and the gasket retainer (790). To this end, the gasket retainer (790) includes a bead portion (792) that protrudes toward the cover plate (710) from the upper surface of the gasket retainer.

[0008] However, since a bead portion (792) is not formed around the third fastening hole (796) through which the fastening bolt passes in the gasket retainer (790), there is a problem that when the injection valve assembly (700) is fastened to the rear housing (130) by the fastening bolt (770), there is no part supporting the bolt fastening force around the third fastening hole (796), causing the valve plate (730) to bend. That is, the valve plate (730) may be deformed in a bulging direction opposite to the direction toward the gasket retainer (790).

[0009] In addition, since the bead portion (792) and the retainer portion (794) in the gasket retainer (790) are all connected except for the main flow hole (790c) and a pair of auxiliary flow holes (790d), there is a problem that the deformation caused by the bead portion (792) being pressed is transmitted to the inner portion supporting the injection valve, that is, to the retainer portion (794).

[0010] As such, as the valve plate (730) and gasket retainer (790) deform, the injection valve (720) is not reliably supported, which may result in instability and noise. Prior art literature

[0011] Korean Patent Publication No. 2018-0094483 (Published Aug. 23, 2018) Korean Patent Publication No. 2021-0118743 (Published Oct. 01, 2021) The problem to be solved

[0025] Another embodiment of the present invention for solving the above problem comprises: a housing; a motor provided within the housing; a rotating shaft rotated by the motor; a pivoting scroll that pivots in conjunction with the rotating shaft; and a fixed scroll that forms a compression chamber together with the pivoting scroll; wherein the housing comprises a rear housing that forms a discharge chamber for receiving refrigerant discharged from the compression chamber; and between the fixed scroll and the rear housing, an injection valve assembly is provided to partition an inlet chamber within the rear housing through which refrigerant flows in from outside the housing and to guide the refrigerant in the inlet chamber to the compression chamber; wherein the injection valve assembly comprises: a cover plate coupled to the rear housing and having an inlet through which refrigerant from the inlet chamber flows in; a valve plate coupled to the cover plate and having an outlet through which refrigerant flowing in through the inlet flows out; and a gasket retainer interposed between the cover plate and the valve plate to prevent leakage of refrigerant. The present invention provides a scroll compressor comprising: an injection valve interposed between the cover plate and the gasket retainer to open and close the inlet port; wherein the gasket retainer comprises: a retainer portion formed to be inclined in the direction in which the injection valve opens; and a bead portion formed to protrude from one surface and surround the retainer portion; wherein, so as not to be directly connected to the bead portion adjacent to the end portion where the inclination begins in the retainer portion, the gasket retainer is characterized by having a hole formed therein that extends to surround the outer side of the end portion of the retainer portion. Effects of the invention

[0026] According to the present invention, by introducing not only a refrigerant at suction pressure but also a refrigerant at intermediate pressure into the compression chamber of a scroll compressor, the amount of refrigerant discharged from the compression chamber can be increased, thereby improving the performance and efficiency of the compressor.

[0027] In addition, as the gasket retainer includes a first half-bead that surrounds the retainer portion and extends radially inwardly to a plurality of fastening holes, and a second half-bead that surrounds the retainer portion and extends radially outwardly to a plurality of fastening holes, when the injection valve assembly is fastened to the rear housing by a fastening bolt, the bolt fastening force can be supported even around the fastening holes of the gasket retainer, thereby minimizing deformation of the valve plate.

[0028] In particular, a first half-bead and a second half-bead are each configured to support the fastening bolt around the fastening hole where the surface pressure is strong, and in the part spaced apart from the fastening hole where the surface pressure is weak (the space between adjacent fastening holes), the first half-bead and the second half-bead come into contact with each other to form a full-bead, thereby preventing deformation of the valve plate through uniform surface pressure.

[0029] In addition, so that the bead portion (first half-bead) adjacent to the end portion where the slope begins in the retainer portion is not directly connected, a hole is formed in the gasket retainer that extends to surround the outer side of the end portion of the retainer portion, thereby preventing deformation caused by the bead portion being pressed from being transmitted to the inner portion supporting the injection valve.

[0030] In particular, at one end of the retainer part supporting the starting part (reference point) where the opening / closing operation of the injection valve takes place, the bead part is not directly connected so that deformation is not transmitted, and as a pair of wing parts are connected to the other end of the retainer part with minimal connection, the injection valve can be securely supported.

[0031] In this way, deformation of the valve plate and gasket retainer is minimized, ensuring reliable support of the injection valve and stable operation.

[0032] The effects of the present invention are not limited to the effects described above, and should be understood to include all effects that can be inferred from the configuration of the invention described in the detailed description of the invention or the claims. [0034] Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the scroll compressor of the present invention will be described with reference to the attached drawings.

[0035] Furthermore, the terms described below are defined considering their functions in the present invention, and these may vary depending on the intention or practice of the user or operator; additionally, the following embodiments are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention but are merely exemplary details of the components presented in the claims of the present invention.

[0036] To clearly explain the present invention, parts unrelated to the description have been omitted, and the same reference numerals are used for identical or similar components throughout the specification. Throughout the specification, when a part is described as "comprising" a certain component, this means that, unless specifically stated otherwise, it does not exclude other components but may additionally include other components.

[0038] A scroll compressor according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a housing (100), a motor (200) provided within the housing (100), a rotating shaft (300) rotated by the motor (200), a rotating scroll (400) that rotates in conjunction with the rotating shaft (300), a fixed scroll (500) that forms a compression chamber (C) together with the rotating scroll (400), and a discharge valve (600) disposed on one surface of the fixed scroll (500) to open and close a discharge port (512) of the fixed scroll through which refrigerant compressed in the compression chamber (C) is discharged. Here, the same reference numerals are used for components identical to those of the scroll compressor of prior art 2 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, and detailed descriptions of such identical components are omitted.

[0039] And, the scroll compressor according to the present embodiment further includes an injection valve assembly (2700) for opening and closing the injection path, which forms an injection path that guides an intermediate pressure refrigerant from the outside of the housing (100) (for example, downstream of the condenser in a vapor compression refrigeration cycle including a scroll compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator) to the compression chamber (C).

[0040] The housing (100) includes a center housing (110) through which a rotating shaft (300) passes, a front housing (120) forming a motor receiving space in which a motor (200) is received, and a rear housing (130) forming a discharge chamber (D) that receives refrigerant discharged from a compression chamber (C), and an injection valve assembly (2700) may be interposed between a fixed scroll (500) and the rear housing (130). The injection valve assembly (2700) partitions an inlet chamber (I) within the rear housing (130) into which refrigerant is introduced from outside the housing, and guides the refrigerant in the inlet chamber (I) to the compression chamber (C).

[0041] Specifically, as shown in FIG. 3, the injection valve assembly (2700) includes a cover plate (710) coupled to the rear housing (130) and having an inlet (712) through which refrigerant from the inlet chamber (I) flows in, a valve plate (2730) coupled to the cover plate (710) and having an outlet (736) through which refrigerant flowing in through the inlet (712) flows out, a gasket retainer (2790) interposed between the cover plate (710) and the valve plate (2730) to prevent leakage of refrigerant, and an injection valve (720) interposed between the cover plate (710) and the gasket retainer (2790) to open and close the inlet (712). Here, the same reference numerals are used for components identical to the configuration of the scroll compressor of prior art 2, and detailed descriptions of identical components are omitted. That is, the configuration of the cover plate (710) and the injection valve (720) is the same as the configuration of the scroll compressor of prior art 2.

[0043] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the valve plate (2730) of the present embodiment may have the same protrusion (732), inclined space (734), outlet (736), first fastening hole (739a), and second positioning groove (739b) as the valve plate (730) of prior art 2, but there is a difference in that a surface pressure increasing portion (2738) and a step (2739) are formed on the surface of the valve plate (2730) facing the gasket retainer (2790). That is, while the surface of the valve plate (730) of prior art 2 facing the gasket retainer (790) is formed as a flat surface excluding the inclined space (734), the surface of the valve plate (2730) of the present embodiment facing the gasket retainer (2790) has three surfaces with different heights even excluding the inclined space (734).

[0044] Specifically, the surface pressure increasing portion (2738) is formed to protrude to support at least a portion of the injection valve (720). That is, the surface pressure increasing portion (2738) is formed to protrude toward the gasket retainer (2790) from the base surface (2737) where the inclined space (734) is formed in a recessed manner. Conversely, the height of the base surface (2737) is formed lower than that of the surface pressure increasing portion (2738).

[0045] At this time, it is preferable that the surface pressure increasing part (2738) supports the starting part where the opening / closing operation of the valve is performed in the injection valve (720), that is, the part that serves as a reference point when the valve opens and closes. Accordingly, the surface pressure can be increased at the location where support of the injection valve (720) is required, thereby ensuring that the injection valve is securely supported.

[0046] Specifically, when the injection valve (720) includes a head portion (722) that opens and closes an inlet and a leg portion (724) that extends from the head portion (722) and performs an opening and closing operation, the surface pressure increasing portion (2738) may be provided at a position facing the end of the leg portion (724) which is positioned on the opposite side of the head portion (722).

[0047] In this embodiment, the inlet port (712) is composed of multiple ports, as in prior art 2, and includes a first inlet port (712a) and a second inlet port (712b) that are each independently connected to the inlet chamber (I). Additionally, in this embodiment, the injection valve (720) also includes a first head portion (722a) that opens and closes the first inlet port (712a), a first leg portion (724a) that extends from the first head portion (722a) and performs an opening and closing operation, a second head portion (722b) that opens and closes the second inlet port (712b), a second leg portion (724b) that extends from the second head portion (722b) and performs an opening and closing operation, and a connecting portion (726) that connects the first leg portion (724a) and the second leg portion (724b), as in prior art 2.

[0048] Here, the locations requiring support for the injection valve (720) are the end (part a) where the connecting part (726) is connected to the first leg part (724a) and the end (part b) where the connecting part (726) is connected to the second leg part (724b), as shown in FIG. 3. This is because the first head part (722a) opens and closes the first inlet (712a) by bending with part a as a reference point, and the second head part (722b) opens and closes the second inlet (712b) by bending with part b as a reference point. Accordingly, the surface pressure increasing part (2738) is provided at a position facing parts a and b to support parts a and b of the injection valve (720).

[0049] Additionally, the surface pressure increasing portion (2738) may be provided at a position facing at least a portion of the connecting portion (726) to provide stable support for the injection valve (720). That is, the surface pressure increasing portion (2738) may be provided at a position facing portions a and b, and at the same time, at a position crossing the injection valve. At this time, it is preferable that the surface pressure increasing portion (2738) be formed as a continuous surface to form a uniform height.

[0050] Additionally, depending on the case, the surface pressure increasing portion (2738) may be provided with an avoidance portion (2738c) formed in an intaglio to avoid the second positioning groove (739b).

[0051] As described above, a surface pressure increasing portion (2738) may be formed on the surface of the valve plate (2730) facing the gasket retainer (2790), and a step may be formed around the perimeter. At this time, the step may be formed by a step-forming surface (2739) that protrudes beyond the surface of the surface pressure increasing portion (2738) at the radial outer side of the surface pressure increasing portion (2738).

[0052] As a result, the height of the surface of the valve plate (2730) facing the gasket retainer (2790) decreases in the order of the stepped surface (2739), then the surface pressure increasing portion (2738), and then the base surface (2737).

[0053] Here, the step-forming surface (2739) faces the bead portion (2792) of the gasket retainer (2790) to be described later. Accordingly, when the injection valve assembly (2700) is fastened to the rear housing (130) by the fastening bolt (770), the step-forming surface (2739) presses and deforms the bead portion (2792) to form surface pressure, thereby sealing the valve plate (2730) and the cover plate (710).

[0054] In addition, the inner portion of the gasket retainer (2790) and the injection valve (720) can be seated in the cavity formed on the inner side of the step-forming surface (2739). As the inner portion of the gasket retainer (2790) and the injection valve (720) are seated in the cavity in this manner, the height of the bead portion (2792) can be lowered compared to Prior Art 2, where the protruding height (h) of the bead portion (792) must be greater than or equal to the thickness (t) of the injection valve (720). Therefore, deformation of the gasket retainer (2790) can be prevented, and it is advantageous for gasket retainer molding and maintaining bolt fastening force. This will be examined in more detail below along with the description of the gasket retainer (2790).

[0055] In this embodiment, the valve plate (2730) is described as having a structure different from the valve plate (730) of prior art 2, but it is not limited thereto and the valve plate (730) of prior art 2 may also be applied.

[0057] Referring to FIGS. 5 and 6, the gasket retainer (2790) of the present embodiment includes a retainer portion (794) that is inclined in the direction in which the injection valve (720) opens, as in Prior Art 2, and a plurality of third fastening holes (796) formed through the radially outer side of the retainer portion (794) so that a fastening bolt (770) is inserted. However, there is a difference in that the bead portion (2792) includes a first half-bead (2792a) and a second half-bead (2792b), and the shapes of the main flow hole (2790c) and a pair of auxiliary flow holes (2790d, 2790e) are different.

[0058] Specifically, the bead portion (2792) includes a first half-bead (2792a) that is formed protruding from one side and surrounds the retainer portion (794) and extends radially inwardly to a plurality of third fastening holes (796), and a second half-bead (2792b) that is formed protruding from one side and surrounds the first half-bead (2792a) and extends radially outwardly to a plurality of third fastening holes (796).

[0059] Here, unlike prior art 2, the first half-bead (2792a) and the second half-bead (2792b) are formed protruding from the lower surface (790b) of the gasket retainer facing the valve plate (2730), but are not limited thereto.

[0060] At this time, in the space between the multiple third fastening holes (796), that is, the space between adjacent third fastening holes (796), the first half-bead (2792a) and the second half-bead (2792b) come into contact with each other to form a convex full-bead. As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the convex full-bead extends and, when it comes into contact with the third fastening hole (796), it is divided into the first and second half-beads (2792a, 2792b), which extend to the inside and outside of the third fastening hole (796), respectively, and then meets again to extend into a full-bead.

[0061] For example, the first half-bead (2792a) and the second half-bead (2792b) each have a quarter-circle cross-sectional shape, and in the portion spaced apart from the plurality of third fastening holes (796), the first half-bead (2792a) and the second half-bead (2792b) may come into contact with each other to form a semicircle cross-sectional shape.

[0062] In this way, as bead portions are formed around multiple third fastening holes (796), when the injection valve assembly (2700) is fastened to the rear housing (130) by the fastening bolt (770), the bolt fastening force can be supported around the third fastening holes (796) as well, so that deformation of the valve plate (2730) can be minimized.

[0063] In particular, around the third fastening hole (796) where the surface pressure is strong, the first half-bead (2792a) and the second half-bead (2792b) are each configured to support the fastening bolt (770), and in the part spaced apart from the third fastening hole (796) where the surface pressure is weak, the first half-bead (2792a) and the second half-bead (2792b) come into contact with each other to form a full-bead, so that deformation of the valve plate (2730) can be prevented through equal surface pressure.

[0064] Additionally, to prevent the first half-bead (2792a) adjacent to the end portion where the slope begins in the retainer portion (794) from being directly connected, a hole is formed in the gasket retainer (2790) that extends to surround the outer side of the end portion of the retainer portion (794). In this embodiment, the first auxiliary flow hole (2790d), which will be described later, serves as the hole that extends to surround the outer side of the end portion of the retainer portion (794). Accordingly, the deformation caused by the bead portion (2792) being pressed is not transmitted to the inner portion supporting the injection valve (720).

[0065] Specifically, the retainer portion (794) is inclined by cutting into the body of the gasket retainer (2790) in the same manner as in prior art 2, but the gasket retainer (2790) further includes a pair of wing portions (795) connecting both sides of the retainer portion (794) and the body of the gasket retainer (2790) facing each other to maintain the inclination angle of the retainer portion (794). At this time, it is preferable that the pair of wing portions (795) be connected to both sides of the other end opposite to the end where the inclination of the retainer portion (794) begins.

[0066] In this way, the bead portion (2792) is not directly connected to one end of the retainer portion (794) that supports the starting portion (reference point) where the opening / closing operation of the injection valve (720) takes place, so that deformation is not transmitted, and the injection valve (720) can be securely supported as a pair of wing portions (795) are connected to the other end of the retainer portion (794) as a minimal connection.

[0067] On one side of a pair of wing portions (795), a main flow hole (2790c) having a roughly U-shape is formed while wrapping around the other end of the retainer portion (794), and on the other side, a pair of auxiliary flow holes (2790d, 2790e) are formed extending along the longitudinal direction of the retainer portion (794). At this time, the first auxiliary flow hole (2790d) located on the outer side of the pair of auxiliary flow holes extends longer than the second auxiliary flow hole (2790e) located on the inner side, so as to wrap around the outer side of one end of the retainer portion (794). That is, as illustrated in FIG. 6, the second auxiliary flow hole (2790e) is extended in a straight line along the longitudinal direction of the retainer portion (794), while the first auxiliary flow hole (2790d) is extended in a straight line along the longitudinal direction of the retainer portion (794) and then can be bent and further extended. The first auxiliary flow hole (2790d) can be extended until it is located on the same line as or extends past the second auxiliary flow hole (2790e).

[0068] Specifically, the retainer portion (794) is composed of multiple portions, including a first retainer portion (794a) and a second retainer portion (794b) formed spaced apart from the first retainer portion. In this case, the first auxiliary flow hole (2790d) of the first retainer portion (794a) may be extended in a straight line along the longitudinal direction of the first retainer portion (794a) and then bent and extended toward the main flow hole (2790c) of the second retainer portion (794b), and the first auxiliary flow hole (2790d) of the second retainer portion (794b) may be extended in a straight line along the longitudinal direction of the second retainer portion (794b) and then bent and extended toward the main flow hole (2790c) of the first retainer portion (794a).

[0069] In some cases, the main flow hole (2790c), such as the main flow hole (2790c) located at the bottom with respect to FIG. 6, may be partially extended along the circumferential direction of at least the gasket retainer (2790).

[0071] Finally, with reference to FIGS. 7 to 9, we will examine the state in which the injection valve assembly (2700) of the present embodiment is coupled to the rear housing (130). FIG. 8 is a cross-sectional view of the portion spaced apart from the fastening bolt (770), and FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view of the portion where the fastening bolt (770) is fastened.

[0072] Referring to FIG. 8, at the portion separated from the fastening bolt (770), the first half-bead (2792a) and the second half-bead (2792b) of the gasket retainer (2790) meet to form a full-bead. Additionally, it can be seen that the retainer portion (794) is not directly connected to the bead portion (2792) by the first auxiliary flow hole (2790d), so the deformation of the bead portion (2792) is not transmitted to the retainer portion (794), and as a result, the retainer portion (794) maintains a flat state. Furthermore, the inner portion of the gasket retainer (2790) and the injection valve (720) are seated in the cavity formed on the inner side of the step-forming surface (2739) of the valve plate (2730).

[0073] Referring to FIG. 9, it can be seen that at the part where the fastening bolt (770) is fastened, the first half-bead (2792a) and the second half-bead (2792b) of the gasket retainer (2790) are formed on the inner and outer sides of the fastening bolt (770), respectively, and thus the valve plate (2730) is supported and deformation is minimized. In this way, the deformation of the valve plate (2730) and the gasket retainer (2790) is minimized, so the injection valve (720) can be reliably supported and stable operation can be achieved.

[0074] The present invention is not limited to the specific embodiments and descriptions described above, and various modifications can be made by anyone with ordinary knowledge in the technical field to which the present invention pertains without departing from the essence of the invention as claimed in the claims, and such modifications fall within the scope of protection of the present invention.
