Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a bicycle frame with added mounting means and a bicycle including the same. More specifically, the invention relates to a bicycle frame with added mounting means and a bicycle including the same, wherein an insertion portion is formed to be recessed into the inner side of the frame without the inconvenience of machining holes or providing separate parts to mount an article on the bicycle frame, thereby maintaining the strength of the frame and reducing costs associated with additional machining. Background Technology

[0003] Generally, various devices such as reflectors, taillights, headlights, or bicycle dashcams can be attached to a bicycle.

[0004] In order to attach such a device, various methods can be used to secure the item, such as by generally drilling screw holes in the bicycle parts or the bicycle frame and inserting the device with screws, or by using a strap that wraps around the bicycle parts to secure the item.

[0005] However, there are items that require an electrical connection and are therefore equipped with a cable to provide electrical power for operation, such as the bicycle dashcam, taillight, and headlight explained as examples above; for this purpose, the cable can be connected externally or internally to connect the devices.

[0006] However, when connecting externally, problems such as breakage or entanglement may occur because the cable is formed on the outer side; therefore, most methods utilize connecting to the inside of the bicycle components. Nevertheless, this requires machining holes in the bicycle frame or components for cable insertion, and since this is performed separately during the production process, it inevitably incurs additional costs and time.

[0007] In addition, since air resistance is a significant factor for bicycles, problems could also arise due to increased air resistance caused by machining shapes such as holes.

[0008] To solve these problems, various methods are being devised to form structures for securing cables or items while reducing costs and time requirements during the production process, and means to address this are required. The problem to be solved

[0010] The present invention is an invention devised to solve the problems of the aforementioned prior art, and aims to reduce costs associated with additional processing while maintaining the strength of the frame by forming an insertion part that is recessed into the inner side of the frame without the inconvenience of machining holes or providing separate parts to mount an article on the bicycle frame.

[0011] The problems of the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned problems will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below. means of solving the problem

[0013] A bicycle frame having additional mounting means for achieving the above-mentioned purpose is a bicycle frame having additional mounting means for fixing an item to the bicycle, comprising a frame forming either a seatpost or a handlebar of the bicycle, wherein the frame is characterized by including an insertion part formed to correspond to a coupling part into which a cable formed on the item or a coupling part coupled to the item to fix the item to the frame is inserted.

[0014] Here, the insert is characterized by being formed to protrude outward and be recessed inward to prevent a decrease in the durability of the frame or the influence of air resistance.

[0015] In addition, the insertion part is characterized by being formed such that its diameter is variable toward the inside of the frame at the opening into which the cable or the coupling part is inserted.

[0016] Meanwhile, the above frame is characterized by having a support end formed such that the perimeter of the position corresponding to the insertion part is formed relatively thickly in order to secure rigidity at the position corresponding to the insertion part formed to be recessed inward.

[0017] At this time, the above insertion part is characterized by having at least two or more formed to prevent shaking of the above article.

[0018] Here, the coupling portion is characterized by having a diameter relatively larger than that of the insertion portion to secure the article when coupled with the insertion portion, and having a projection member formed to be inserted into the inner side of the insertion portion.

[0019] In addition, the above-mentioned protrusions are characterized by having at least two such protrusions formed to correspond to the insertion part in order to prevent shaking while inserted into the insertion part.

[0020] In addition, the above-mentioned projection member is characterized by having a slit formed so as to be open toward the direction of insertion into the opening having a relatively narrow diameter, in order to be inserted into the opening.

[0021] Meanwhile, the above-mentioned insert is characterized by being formed so that, when a cable is coupled, both ends are connected to the inner side of another frame connected to the frame, in order to prevent the cable from protruding from both ends of the frame.

[0022] In addition, the insertion part is formed elongated in one direction, and is characterized by having an anti-slip projection formed such that a portion of the opening is formed relatively narrowly to prevent the coupling part from sliding along the longitudinal direction when the coupling part is connected. Effects of the invention

[0024] A bicycle frame with an additional mounting means according to the present invention for solving the above problem, and a bicycle including the same, may have the effect of reducing costs due to additional processing while maintaining the strength of the frame, as an insertion part is formed to be recessed into the inner side of the frame without the inconvenience of machining a hole or providing a separate part to mount an article to the bicycle frame.

[0025] The effects of the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned effects will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description in the claims. Brief explanation of the drawing

Specific details for implementing the invention

[0028] A preferred embodiment of the present invention, in which the objective of the present invention can be specifically realized, will be described below with reference to the attached drawings.

[0029] In describing this embodiment, the same names and symbols are used for identical components, and additional explanations thereof are omitted.

[0030] First, the specific circumstances of the present invention and the circumstances in which the present invention is not provided can be explained through FIGS. 1 and FIGS. 2.

[0031] Specifically, FIG. 1 is a drawing illustrating an overall description of a bicycle frame with an added mounting means according to an embodiment of the present invention and a bicycle including the same, and FIG. 2 is a drawing illustrating the necessity of a fixing means for a bicycle frame with an added mounting means according to an embodiment of the present invention and a bicycle including the same.

[0032] First, as shown in FIG. 1, a bicycle (B) can generally form a body by combining a number of frames (100), and in order to reduce the weight of the body while minimizing air resistance due to the characteristics of the bicycle (B) being driven, a lightweight material is used, and a material that can withstand external impact is also utilized.

[0033] However, if the interior of the frame (100) is completely filled to prepare for external impact on the bicycle (B), the weight of the vehicle body increases, making movement difficult or causing discomfort to the rider on the bicycle (B). Therefore, the interior of the frame (100) can generally be manufactured to have a space formed.

[0034] In addition, when riding a bicycle (B), it can be utilized as a means of transportation due to the general characteristics of the bicycle (B). Various devices may be attached to the bicycle (B), such as headlights for convenience during night riding, a dash cam for resolving issues in the event of an accident, or a smartphone with navigation activated to check the location.

[0035] In particular, according to Article 50, Paragraph 9 of the Road Traffic Act, when traveling on a road at night, it is mandatory to turn on headlights and taillights or to wear luminous devices such as reflective strips; therefore, various devices such as headlights and taillights may be combined for this purpose.

[0036] However, since the headlights, taillights, black box, etc., mounted on the bicycle (B) in this manner all operate by receiving power electrically, multiple cables for electrical connection may be provided, and this may pose a risk of causing inconvenience or accidents when driving the bicycle (B).

[0037] To explain this in more detail, as shown in FIG. 2, the bicycle (B) is equipped with items such as a reflector, headlights and taillights, a smartphone holder, a battery, and a dashcam, and a number of cables are provided depending on the equipped items, and power can be supplied to the headlights, taillights, and dashcam through the cables, and generally, the method of inserting the cables into the frame (100) of the bicycle (B) is mainly utilized.

[0038] However, for this to be possible, a hole into which a cable can be inserted must be separately machined in the frame (100) of the bicycle (B). Since the process of separately machining the hole varies depending on the number of items mounted on the bicycle (B) or the condition of the cable, it is generally performed later. Furthermore, due to the characteristics of the bicycle (B) which is affected by air resistance, machining a separate hole may cause problems and may have the disadvantage of lowering the durability of the frame (100) itself.

[0039] In addition, to solve these problems, placing the cable externally results in an unsightly appearance due to the cable protruding messily. Furthermore, since the cable could get caught on other objects while driving or become entangled during boarding or alighting, methods such as securing the cable with a separate strap or fastening items using a separate connector could also be utilized.

[0040] However, as mentioned earlier, there was a disadvantage in that the problem could not be completely solved even if this method was used due to the characteristics of the bicycle (B) being affected by air resistance and the problem of the cable getting caught somewhere.

[0041] Therefore, the present invention is characterized by forming a separate structure in which a cable can be fixed to the frame (100) of a bicycle (B) to solve the problem described above, which can be explained through FIGS. 3 to 10.

[0042] Specifically, FIG. 3 is a drawing illustrating a bicycle frame with an added mounting means according to an embodiment of the present invention and a frame of a bicycle including the same; FIG. 4 is a drawing illustrating a situation in which a coupling part of a bicycle with an added mounting means according to an embodiment of the present invention and a bicycle including the same is inserted into an insertion part; FIG. 5 is a drawing illustrating a situation in which a projection member is fixed inside an insertion part of a bicycle with an added mounting means according to an embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 6 is a drawing illustrating a situation in which there are two or more projection members of a bicycle with an added mounting means according to an embodiment of the present invention and a bicycle including the same; FIG. 7 is a drawing illustrating a bicycle frame with an added mounting means according to an embodiment of the present invention and a coupling part of a bicycle including the same; FIG. 8 is a drawing illustrating both ends of an insertion part of a bicycle with an added mounting means according to an embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 9 is a drawing illustrating an opening part of a bicycle with an added mounting means according to an embodiment of the present invention and a bicycle including the same; and FIG. 10 is a drawing illustrating a bicycle with an added mounting means according to an embodiment of the present invention This is a drawing illustrating an added bicycle frame and the packing part of the bicycle containing it.

[0043] First, as illustrated in FIG. 3, the present invention comprises a bicycle frame (100) having a mounting means added for fixing an article to the bicycle (B), and the frame (100) may include an insertion part (120) formed to correspond to a coupling part (200) so that a cable formed on the article or a coupling part (200) that is coupled to the article to fix the article to the frame (100) is inserted.

[0044] Here, the insertion portion (120) may preferably be formed along the longitudinal direction of the frame (100), and may be formed along the perimeter of the frame (100) as needed, but is not necessarily limited thereto.

[0045] However, to aid in understanding the present invention, the insertion part (120) is described based on being formed along the longitudinal direction of the frame (100), and as previously described, this can be varied in various ways depending on the situation and is not necessarily limited thereto.

[0046] At this time, the insert portion (120) may be formed to be recessed inward from the periphery of the frame (100), and may be manufactured with the insert portion (120) formed during the extrusion or molding process without separate additional processing.

[0047] Meanwhile, to explain the insertion part (120) in more detail through the cross-section of the frame (100) as illustrated in FIG. 4, the insertion part (120) may be formed on a part of the perimeter of the frame (100) and may be formed to be recessed into the inside of the frame (100).

[0048] In addition, a support member (140) may be formed in the frame (100) such that the thickness of the frame (100) at a position corresponding to the insertion member (120) on the periphery of the frame (100) is relatively thick to prevent the durability of the frame (100) from being reduced as the insertion member (120) is formed inwardly from the periphery of the frame (100).

[0049] At this time, the support member (140) ensures the durability of the frame (100) and at the same time ensures the rigidity of the insertion part (120) into which the cable or the coupling part (200) is inserted, thereby preventing the cable or the coupling part (200) from becoming difficult to connect due to the insertion part (120) being bent or crushed.

[0050] Additionally, the insertion part (120) may have an opening formed toward the outer direction of the frame (100), and as shown in FIG. 4, the diameter may be formed such that it varies toward the inner direction of the frame (100) from the opening of the insertion part (120).

[0051] This may be intended to prevent the cable or the coupling part (200) from coming loose while inserted into the inner side of the insertion part (120), and generally, the diameter may be formed to gradually widen as it extends toward the inner side of the insertion part (120).

[0052] Meanwhile, the coupling part (200) may be provided with a separate coupling means capable of being coupled with the article, and a projection member (220) formed to protrude from one side of the coupling part (200) may be inserted into the insertion part (120) so that the opening of the insertion part (120) is formed to be relatively narrower than the diameter of the projection member (220), thereby fixing the projection member (220) and allowing the article to be fixed to the frame (100) of the bicycle (B). At this time, due to the elasticity of the material of the projection member (220) itself, it may be slightly deformed upon insertion and then restored, and may be fixed in a snap-fit form. At this time, the snap-fit may be in the form of an intermediate fit or an interference fit. However, if the anti-slip projection (160) described later is provided in the insertion part (120), a loose fit may be used.

[0053] In addition, since cables for electrical power supply generally utilize a sheath made of an elastic material such as rubber or flexible plastic, even if the diameter of the cable is larger than the diameter of the opening, it can be easily inserted into the insertion part (120) by the deformation of the rubber, and there is also an effect of preventing the cable from coming out due to the diameter of the opening.

[0054] Meanwhile, as shown in FIG. 5, a small empty space may be formed inside the insertion part (120) while the protrusion member (220) is inserted into the insertion part (120), which may be intended to make the process of inserting and separating the protrusion member (220) or the cable easier.

[0055] For example, if the insertion part (120) and the projection member (220) are formed to have exactly the same diameter, the inner side of the insertion part (120) and the projection member (220) or the cable come into complete contact, and this may cause some difficulty in the separation process due to the frictional force that increases in proportion to the contact area between the inner side of the insertion part (120) and the projection member (220) or the cable.

[0056] However, if the insertion part (120) has the exact same diameter and shape as the protrusion member (220) or the cable, it may effectively secure the protrusion member (220) and the cable, but since difficulties may arise when making changes for convenience as needed, the present invention allows for an empty space to be formed inside the insertion part (120) while the cable or the protrusion member (220) is inserted.

[0057] That is, the insertion part (120) of the present invention may be formed not in a circular shape with a radius of curvature, but in a tapered shape toward the inner direction of the frame (100) to provide an empty space.

[0058] As previously described, since such a shape can have a relatively lower fixing force than the shape of the insert part (120) which is recessed in the same shape as the protrusion member (220) or cable, two or more of the insert parts (120) may be formed in the present invention, and the coupling part (200) may also be formed in a number corresponding to the number of insert parts (120).

[0059] In this way, when multiple units are formed, the above-mentioned connecting part (200) can be effectively connected and the shaking can be prevented, so there is an advantage in that the problem described above can be effectively solved.

[0060] However, since problems may arise in effectively fixing the protrusion member (220) to the frame (100) when the protrusion member (220) is formed of an elastic material, the protrusion member (220) may be provided with a material that is somewhat harder than rubber, and as shown in FIG. 7, in order to be inserted into the insertion part (120), the protrusion member (220) may have a narrow gap, i.e., a slit (240), formed by having two or more parts facing each other side by side along the direction of protrusion.

[0061] That is, when the above-mentioned protrusion member (220) is inserted into the above-mentioned insertion part (120), the two ends are brought closer together as the slit (240) is formed, so it is effectively inserted into the above-mentioned insertion part (120), and because it is a material that is relatively harder than rubber, the restoring force generated may have the effect of more effectively fixing the above-mentioned coupling part (200) to the above-mentioned insertion part (120).

[0062] However, since the frame (100) can form a seatpost or handlebar without utilizing the above-mentioned coupling part (200), the above-mentioned item may be provided with a projection corresponding to the above-mentioned insertion part (120) and may be inserted into and fixed to the above-mentioned insertion part (120) through the provided projection, or it may be coupled without utilizing the above-mentioned coupling part (200), and the above-mentioned coupling part (200) may not be attached to the above-mentioned item separately, but may be formed in a form where the above-mentioned coupling part (200) is merged into the above-mentioned item during the production process of the above-mentioned item.

[0063] Meanwhile, since the cross-sectional shape of the insertion part (120) that is recessed toward the inside of the frame (100) has been specifically mentioned above, the ends of the insertion part (120) will be further explained through FIGS. 8 and 9.

[0064] First, as shown in FIG. 8, a separate structure (C) that can be combined with the frame (100) may be formed at both ends of the frame (100), and in addition to the structure (C), there may also be cases where the frame (100) and another frame (100) are combined.

[0065] However, when the above frame (100) and the above structure (C) are combined, since the insertion part (120) is not separately formed in the above structure (C), both ends of the insertion part (120) may be formed to be open toward the above structure (C), thereby forming a position where a cable is inserted.

[0066] Unlike the previous method which required additional hole processing, as described above, this can be said to be more effective because it can perform the same function as processing a hole solely by forming the insertion part (120).

[0067] In addition, it may be obvious that when multiple cables are installed, multiple insertion parts (120) may be formed.

[0068] Meanwhile, if the frame (100) is positioned in a direction perpendicular to the ground while the coupling part (200) is coupled to the insert part (120), the coupling part (200) may slide along the insert part (120) while inserted into the insert part (120). Therefore, an anti-slip protrusion (160) may be formed on a part of the insert part (120) so that the diameter of the opening is formed relatively narrower than in other places.

[0069] In this way, when the anti-slip protrusion (160) is formed, the protrusion member (220) can be prevented from slipping by catching on the anti-slip protrusion (160) even when inserted into the insertion part (120), so the protrusion member (220) can be fixed more effectively, and the anti-slip protrusion (160) may be formed in multiple numbers so that the position of the item can be adjusted according to the occupant.

[0070] Meanwhile, as illustrated in FIG. 9, the opening (T) that opens inwardly to the structure (C) coupled to both ends of the insertion part (120) described above can allow a cable to be inserted into the structure (C), and if a battery is provided inside the structure (C), the items exposed to the outside of the bicycle (B) body can be more effectively reduced.

[0071] In addition, since the above-mentioned frame (100) is either a seatpost or a handlebar of the bicycle (B), it is generally inserted and fixed to another frame (100) of the bicycle (B). Therefore, a problem may occur where the cable is pinched during the process of fixing the cable or inserting it into the inside of the above-mentioned frame (100). However, in the present invention, the insertion part (120) formed in the above-mentioned frame (100) and the opening part (T) that opens into the inside of the above-mentioned frame (100) adjacent to both sides of the insertion part (120) are formed, so there may be an effect that the cable can be inserted without being pinched.

[0072] Meanwhile, as previously described, in cases where a cable or the protrusion member (220) is inserted into the insertion part (120), or when a cable or the protrusion member (220) is not inserted, it may be affected by air resistance, or when a number of cables are not required, a packing part (300) may be separately provided to fill the insertion part (120) as shown in FIG. 10.

[0073] As previously described, this may be affected by air resistance, and since the open insertion part may allow foreign substances, moisture, etc. to penetrate, the packing part (300) may be provided to prevent this. The packing part (300) may be formed to completely seal the opening of the insertion part (120), and the outer perimeter of the frame (100) may be formed to form a surface of the same plane when the packing part (300) is inserted into the insertion part (120).

[0074] In addition to the examples described above, examples in which the present invention is further utilized can be explained through FIGS. 11 and FIGS. 12.

[0075] Specifically, FIG. 11 is a drawing illustrating a bicycle frame with added mounting means according to a variation of the present invention and a through hole of a bicycle including the same, and FIG. 12 is a drawing illustrating an example of a bicycle frame with added mounting means according to another variation of the present invention and a through hole of a bicycle including the same.

[0076] First, as shown in FIG. 11, a through hole (180) that penetrates into the inside of the frame (100) may be formed in a part of the insertion part (120).

[0077] Here, the through hole (180) may be used as a separate hole for inserting or exiting a cable, and may be formed to prevent the coupling part (200) from sliding down while fixed to the insertion part (120).

[0078] More specifically, a fixing member corresponding to the through hole (180) is additionally formed on the protrusion member (220) formed on the coupling part (200), so that the fixing member can be inserted into the through hole (180) while moving the protrusion member (220) on the insertion part (120), thereby preventing the coupling part (200) from slipping or sliding down, and also allowing a separate cable to be connected through the through hole (180).

[0079] If the cable or component inserted through the through hole (180) is a light-emitting LED product, a problem may occur where the light is trapped inside the frame (100). Therefore, the through hole (180) may have a groove formed that is open in a direction perpendicular to the insertion part (120), and multiple through holes (180) may be formed along the length direction of the insertion part (120).

[0080] This can be formed so as not to interfere with the durability of the frame (100), and there may be an advantage in that a separate cable can be connected through the through hole (180) and the main cable can be fixed to the insertion part (120). Additionally, if the part fixed to the insertion part (120) through the through hole (180) is an LED product, it can provide light to the outside, which may have the advantage of solving the aforementioned problem.

[0081] We have examined preferred embodiments according to the invention, and it is obvious to those skilled in the art that, in addition to the embodiments described above, the invention may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit or scope thereof.

[0082] Therefore, the embodiments described above should be regarded as exemplary rather than limiting, and accordingly, the present invention is not limited to the description above but may be modified within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents. Explanation of the symbols
