Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a modular handrail connection structure (10), and more specifically, to a modular handrail connection structure designed to efficiently absorb external shocks and selectively block the space between posts to increase safety. Background Technology

[0003] Generally, handrails are installed in places with frequent pedestrian traffic, such as roads, stairs, parks, and walking paths, or on elevated areas where there is a risk of falling, to ensure pedestrian safety and guide their movement paths. Traditional handrails consist of multiple posts fixed vertically to the ground and handrails connecting the tops of the posts for pedestrians to grasp, and are primarily made of metal or wood. Since these handrail structures are constantly exposed to the external environment, they must not only be resistant to corrosion but also possess the rigidity to withstand the weight of pedestrians or maintain their structural form against sudden external impacts.

[0004] However, conventional handrail structures utilize a rigid connection method in which posts and handrails are completely fixed through welding or bolts. Consequently, when strong external impacts occur due to bicycle collisions or falling objects, the impact energy is not dispersed, and problems frequently arise where the connection points deform or break. Such damaged handrails pose a risk of causing secondary injuries to pedestrians and lead to increased maintenance costs, as partial repairs are difficult and the entire handrail must be replaced.

[0005] Furthermore, conventional handrails have fixed spacing between posts during installation, creating blind spots where children or pets can get trapped. Additionally, there is the inconvenience of having to install separate barriers when visibility in specific areas needs to be blocked or traffic temporarily restricted. Recently, there has been an increasing demand for modular handrails that are easy to install and dismantle; however, there is a shortage of products equipped with advanced connection mechanisms that effectively control impact while minimizing play between parts.

[0006] Meanwhile, the aforementioned background technology is technical information that the inventor possessed for the derivation of the present invention or acquired during the process of deriving the present invention, and it cannot necessarily be considered publicly known technology disclosed to the general public prior to the filing of the present invention. [0026] The following detailed description of the invention refers to the accompanying drawings, which illustrate specific embodiments in which the invention may be practiced. These embodiments are described in sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to practice the invention. It should be understood that various embodiments of the invention are different but need not be mutually exclusive. For example, specific shapes, structures, and characteristics described herein may be implemented in other embodiments without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention in relation to one embodiment. It should also be understood that the location or arrangement of individual components within each disclosed embodiment may be changed without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the following detailed description is not intended to be limiting, and the scope of the invention is limited only by the appended claims, including all equivalents to those claimed therein, provided appropriately described. Similar reference numerals in the drawings refer to the same or similar functions across various aspects.

[0027] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the drawings.

[0028] FIG. 1 is a drawing showing the schematic configuration of a modular handrail connection structure according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0029] Referring to FIG. 1, a modular railing connection structure (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a post (110), a handrail (210), and a shock-absorbing connection bracket (310).

[0030] Posts (110) are vertically erected at regular intervals along the bottom surface and form the framework of the overall railing structure, performing a support function that stably distributes the load transmitted from the top to the ground.

[0031] The post (110) includes a reinforcing core (111).

[0032] The reinforcing core (111) is installed in the internal hollow space of the post (110) to dramatically improve the structural rigidity of the post, and in particular, serves as a key internal support that physically suppresses the phenomenon of the post (110) bending or buckling due to strong impacts applied from the side or loads transmitted from the handrail (210).

[0033] The reinforcing core (111) is closely bonded to the inner wall of the post (110) to absorb external vibrations, and at the same time, by dispersing metal fatigue that may occur during long-term use throughout the entire structure, it provides the effect of significantly extending the durability life of the entire railing structure and preventing permanent deformation caused by external forces.

[0034] A post (110) having the configuration described above has the effect of maintaining optimal structural stability for pedestrian safety even in extreme external environments by forming a solid support force from the inside through a reinforcing core (111).

[0035] The handrail (210) is installed extending horizontally along the upper side of each of the multiple posts (110) to connect the multiple posts (110) as a whole, forming a guideline that a pedestrian can hold and move along, while preventing movement between the posts (110) to reinforce structural stability.

[0036] The shock-absorbing connecting bracket (310) physically connects the handrail (210) to the post (110) and acts as a key connecting medium to prevent damage to the connecting part and ensure user safety by dampening and absorbing external shocks or vibrations that may occur at the connection point between the handrail (210) and the post (110).

[0037] A modular railing connection structure (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention having the configuration described above has the effect of reducing maintenance costs and significantly extending the structural lifespan by flexibly responding to external impacts while maintaining a rigid connection state between the post and the rail.

[0039] Figure 3 is a drawing showing the shock-absorbing connecting bracket of Figure 1.

[0040] Referring to FIG. 3, the shock-absorbing connecting bracket (310) includes an elastic guide core (311).

[0041] The elastic guide core (311) is provided inside the shock-absorbing connecting bracket (310) and normally maintains a solid connection between the handrail (210) and the post (110), and when an external shock exceeding a critical threshold is applied, the spring or urethane damper built inside is physically compressed to absorb energy in the first place.

[0042] The elastic guide core (311) prevents the load from concentrating on a specific joint by inducing the hand rail (210) to rotate at a predetermined angle within a defined range inside to disperse the impact energy remaining after the first impact absorption, thereby secondarily dispersing the impact in all directions.

[0043] The shock-absorbing connecting bracket (310) having the configuration described above provides the effect of protecting pedestrian safety with the utmost priority by minimizing damage or deformation of the railing even during a strong collision through a two-stage shock absorption and dispersion mechanism.

[0045] FIG. 4 is a diagram showing the schematic configuration of a modular handrail connection structure according to another embodiment of the present invention.

[0046] Referring to FIG. 4, a modular railing connection structure (20) according to another embodiment of the present invention includes a post (110), a handrail (210), an impact-absorbing connection bracket (310), and a shielding screen part (410).

[0047] Here, the post (110), handrail (210), and shock-absorbing connecting bracket (310) are identical to the components of FIG. 1, so their descriptions will be omitted to avoid duplication of descriptions.

[0048] The shielding screen section (410) is configured to be installed directly on the post (110) and to selectively cover the empty space between adjacent posts (110), and provides a flexible space management function to deploy or retract the screen to block the pedestrian's view or restrict access to a specific area.

[0049] A modular railing connection structure (20) according to another embodiment of the present invention has a multi-purpose utility effect that enables independent space separation and the establishment of safety zones by deploying a screen according to the situation, going beyond a simple railing function.

[0051] Figure 5 is a drawing showing the shielding screen portion of Figure 4.

[0052] Referring to FIG. 5, the shielding screen section (410) includes a device housing (411), a screen (412), a housing inlet (413), a first magnet (414), a magnet fastening groove (415), a second magnet (416), a support roller (417), a return spring (418), a guide roller (419), and a braking module (420).

[0053] The device housing (411) is formed in a hollow shape within the internal space of the post (110) to protect the main components for shielding from the external environment and is installed in a buried form to provide a storage space that keeps the appearance of the railing neat.

[0054] The screen (412) is stored in a roll form inside the device housing (411) and is pulled out to the outside when needed to seal the gap between adjacent posts. It is made of a durable material and acts as a barrier that maintains its shape even against external wind or physical contact.

[0055] The housing inlet (413) is formed in a slit shape at the front end of the device housing (411) to guide a stable movement path that allows the screen (412) to be exposed to the outside or smoothly retracted inside.

[0056] The first magnet (414) is installed at the leading edge of the screen (412) and serves as a handle when pulling out the screen, while also generating magnetic force for connection with another post.

[0057] The magnet fastening groove (415) is formed by being recessed along the rear edge of the post (110) and performs a physical guide groove function so that the first magnet (414) of the screen extended from an adjacent post can be seated in the correct position.

[0058] The second magnet (416) is installed at a corresponding position inside the magnet fastening groove (415) and generates mutual attraction with the first magnet (414), thereby fixing the screen in a firmly unfolded state without a separate locking device.

[0059] The support roller (417) is positioned upright inside the device housing (411) and rotates when the screen (412) is pulled out, reducing friction and maintaining constant tension of the screen to prevent wrinkles from forming.

[0060] The return spring (418) is elastically connected between the rear end of the screen (412) and the inside of the housing to store elastic energy when the screen is pulled out, and to provide a restoring force that automatically returns the screen to the inside of the housing using the elastic force when the connection is released.

[0061] The guide roller (419) is installed at the inner contact of the housing inlet (413) to minimize frictional resistance when the screen (412) passes through the inlet, prevent damage to the screen surface, and provide a smooth operating feel.

[0062] The braking module (420) is coupled to the first magnet (414) at the moment it is coupled to the magnet fastening groove (415) to physically fix the position of the screen (412), thereby maintaining a safe fixed state so that the screen does not get arbitrarily wound or moved by external force.

[0063] The shielding screen section (410) having the configuration described above provides convenience, allowing anyone to easily block or open the space between the railings through a simple fastening method using magnetic force and an automatic return structure.

[0065] Referring to FIG. 5, the braking module (420) includes a pressure rod (421), a shaft guide (422), a braking roller (423), a shaft head (424), a support spring (425), and a braking block (426).

[0066] The pressure rod (421) is positioned to move linearly within the device housing (411) and serves as a power transmission shaft that transmits physical pressure received from the rear end to the braking part of the front end.

[0067] The shaft guide (422) performs a linear motion guide function by supporting the outer surface of the pressure rod (421) so as to wrap around it, thereby guiding the rod to move forward or backward accurately without deviating from a predetermined trajectory.

[0068] The braking roller (423) is mounted on the tip of the pressure rod (421) and generates a physical braking force to prevent the screen from rotating or moving further by strongly pressing the surface of the screen (412) located on the guide roller (419) when the rod advances.

[0069] The shaft head (424) is coupled to the rear of the shaft guide (422) and serves as a base that defines the retraction limit line of the pressure rod (421) and supports one end of the support spring (425).

[0070] The support spring (425) is installed in the space between the shaft head (424) and the shaft guide (422) and applies a constant rearward restoring force to the pressure rod (421), thereby keeping the braking roller (423) away from the screen when braking is not required.

[0071] The braking block (426) is exposed toward the magnet fastening groove (415) and is inserted into the device housing when the first magnet (414) of the adjacent post enters and settles into the groove, thereby pushing the pressure rod (421) forward to automatically activate the braking of the screen.

[0072] The braking module (420) having the configuration described above implements a mechanism that integrates the screen fastening operation and the braking operation, thereby enabling the screen to be fixed tautly and stably without separate operation.

[0074] The shielding screen part (410) having the configuration described above may further include a detachment prevention lock (427).

[0075] The anti-detachment lock (427) operates after the first magnet (414) is seated in the magnet fastening groove (415) to form a physical locking state in addition to the magnetic connection, thereby preventing the screen from suddenly detaching due to external pressure such as strong wind or someone intentionally pulling the screen.

[0076] The shielding screen section (410) having the configuration described above maximizes the security and safety accident prevention effect by adding the robustness of a physical lock to the convenience of magnetic coupling.

[0078] FIG. 6 is a drawing showing an anti-detachment lock according to the present invention.

[0079] Referring to FIG. 6, the anti-detachment lock (427) includes a drive motor (428), a fastening bolt (429), a bolt fastening groove (430), a magnet screen (431), and a switch (432).

[0080] The drive motor (428) is a driving source of the locking device that is compactly installed on one side of the second magnet (416) and generates forward or reverse rotational force through an electrical signal.

[0081] The fastening bolt (429) is coupled to the shaft of the drive motor (428), passes through the second magnet (416), and protrudes into the magnet fastening groove (415). As the motor rotates, it advances and is screwed into the mating part, thereby generating a strong physical restraining force.

[0082] The bolt fastening groove (430) is provided in the form of a female screw hole with threads formed on the front surface of the first magnet (414) and is screw-coupled with the fastening bolt (429) to completely secure the front end of the pulled-out screen to the post.

[0083] The magnet screen (431) is installed to surround the front end of the first magnet (414) and serves as a protective cover to prevent breakage or wear of the magnet, and has a center hole through which a fastening bolt (429) can pass.

[0084] The switch (432) is exposed on the outer surface of the post (110) at a position that is easy for the user to operate, controls the operation of the drive motor (428), and supports the convenient full locking and unlocking of the screen with only one-touch operation.

[0085] The anti-detachment lock (427) having the configuration described above secures the reliability of the screen's fastening through an automated bolt fastening method and provides the effect of completely preventing accidents caused by unintended detachment.
