Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a gripper mechanism for a green case transfer device of a tire forming machine, which transfers a belt package consisting of a belt, a jointless cover, and a tread, which has undergone secondary forming in a belt drum of a tire forming process, to a primary forming drum for final combination with a primary case, or transfers a green tire completed in the primary process to an extractor.

[0002] More specifically, the present invention relates to a gripper mechanism provided in a transfer ring that combines a primary semi-finished product case and a secondary semi-finished product case to form a green tire. Background Technology

[0003] Generally, tires play a role in supporting the entire weight of a vehicle, absorbing shocks from the road surface, and enabling the vehicle to drive, stop, and change direction through friction between the road surface and the tire. Tires are formed by combining various semi-finished tire components such as cap plies, belts, carcasses, and beads, and the tire before final vulcanization, once all components are combined, is called a green case.

[0004] Generally, green tires must maintain their original molded shape before being placed in a tire vulcanization mold so that they can be produced as quality-free finished tires through the vulcanization process.

[0005] In tire manufacturing, the molding process is the process of sequentially joining all semi-finished constituent materials used in the tire in a molding machine to create a cylindrical green tire.

[0006] Generally, the assembly of the inner liner, carcass, and sidewall semi-finished products is called the first semi-finished product case, and the assembly of the belt, capply, and tread semi-finished products is called the second semi-finished product case; finally, the first semi-finished product case and the second semi-finished product case are combined to complete the green case. The forming of the green case is completed by placing the second semi-finished product case on the outside of the first semi-finished product case and applying pressure through gripping to combine the two. Therefore, in this process, a run-out peak occurs at the point where gripper pressure is applied during the secondary semi-finished product case transfer. Consequently, radial run-out (RRO) harmonic components are amplified along the circumferential direction of the tire by an amount equal to the gripper's contact area. When a finished tire with a large RRO harmonic component is mounted on a vehicle, peak booming noise and cavity noise may occur at specific speeds and frequencies during driving. In this regard, an analysis of the cavity noise pattern of the finished tire reveals that RRO(+) peak harmonic components occur in the area where gripper pressure is applied, while RRO(-) components occur in the area where gripper pressure is not applied. Therefore, it is important to eliminate this problem. While conventional grippers applied pressure to the green case at regular intervals, the current T-Ring gripper has been improved to interlock in a T-shape, ensuring that pressure is applied to the green case without any gaps. However, in this case, the T-Ring gripper had to be manufactured according to the external dimensions of the tire, and there was the inconvenience of having to replace the gripper as the inch size changed.

[0007] In the tire forming process, there are many important factors that affect tire quality, such as belt drums, shaping drums, and conveying devices. To explain the tire forming process, it is broadly divided into the process of assembling and attaching the belt and tread on the belt drum, the process of assembling and attaching the inner liner, carcass, sidewall, and bead on the shaping drum, and the process of finally combining the above two assemblies on the shaping drum to make a green tire.

[0008] In the intermediate stage of such tire forming processes, a gripper is used in a device for gripping and transporting the green case to transfer the assembled assembly onto the drum. The roundness of the transport device, the degree of even contact and adhesion of the gripper across the entire circumferential surface of the green tire, and the flow all have a significant impact on the uniformity quality of the tire.

[0009] For the molding of the green tire, a transfer ring (10) equipped with a plurality of grippers (20), as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, is typically used. That is, after positioning a secondary semi-finished product case (40) (which can simply be called a 'green case') on the outside of a primary semi-finished product case, pressure is applied to the secondary semi-finished product case (40) using a belt building drum (BBD, 30) placed inside the secondary semi-finished product case (40) and the grippers (20) of the transfer ring (10), thereby creating a green tire in which the primary semi-finished product case and the secondary semi-finished product case (40) are combined.

[0010] Here, the gripper (20) is equipped with a pressurizing device (50) to apply pressure to the secondary semi-finished product case (40), and the pressurizing device (50) includes a pressurizing plate (51) formed in a curved shape to make surface contact with the outer surface of the secondary semi-finished product case (40), a cylinder that moves the pressurizing plate (51) back and forth for transporting the secondary semi-finished product case (40), and an operating rod (52) that transmits movement in the direction of the central axis to the pressurizing plate (51) when the cylinder is operated.

[0011] Accordingly, in the gripping process, when the operating rod (52) is extended by the cylinder and pushes the pressure plate (51) forward, the arc-shaped pressure plate (51) advances in the direction of the central axis and comes into close contact with the outer surface of the secondary semi-finished product case (40), and at the same time, the secondary semi-finished product case (40) and the primary semi-finished product case are compressed while a plurality of pins (not shown) provided to protrude from the inner side of the arc of the pressure plate (51) are embedded in the secondary semi-finished product case (40).

[0012] However, in this case, a Run Out Peak occurs in the space between the gripper (20) and the area where pressure is applied to the secondary semi-finished product case (40) by the gripper (20), thereby amplifying the Radial Run Out (RRO) harmonic components along the circumferential direction of the tire by the number of grippers, and when a finished tire with a large RRO harmonic component is mounted on a vehicle, peak booming noise and resonance noise may occur at a specific speed and specific frequency during driving.

[0013] In this regard, an analysis of the RRO shape of a finished tire reveals that harmonic components of the RRO (+) peak are generated in the areas where pressure is applied to the grippers, while harmonic components of the RRO (-) peak are generated in the spaces between the grippers. Therefore, in order to lower the levels of RRO and its harmonic components, it is important to eliminate the RRO (+) peak and the (-) peak.

[0014] To this end, a method of performing the gripping process in two stages is being studied. That is, as shown in FIG. 3, a first semi-finished product case is placed on the BBD (30) of the transfer ring (10), a second semi-finished product case (40) is placed on the outside of the first semi-finished product case, and a first gripping is performed to form a green tire by applying pressure through the pressure device (50) of the gripper (20) to combine the second semi-finished product case (40) and the first semi-finished product case. Then, the pressure plate (51) and pin of the gripper (20) are retracted, the BBD (30) is rotated at a certain angle, and pressure is applied to the second semi-finished product case (40) again through the pressure device (50) of the gripper (20) to eliminate the RRO peak of the green tire.

[0015] However, when the pressure plate (51) of the gripper (20) that enters radially when gripping the second semi-finished product case (40) is in close contact with the outer surface of the second semi-finished product case (40) and grips and fixes it, a clearance (C) that is not gripped exists between the pressure plate (51) and the adjacent pressure plate (51).

[0016] However, when the outer diameter of the green case (40) decreases, the pressure plates (51) all contract towards the center to match the reduced diameter size and become tight, so the clearance (C) decreases, and when the outer diameter of the green case (40) increases, the clearance (C) becomes larger. At this time, as the outer diameter of the green case (40) decreases, the clearance (C) disappears when it reaches a certain diameter, and when the diameter becomes smaller than that, the pressure plates (51) are in close contact with each other to form a circle along the circumferential direction, so no further advancement is allowed, and thus it becomes impossible to manufacture a green case with a diameter smaller than that.

[0017] Meanwhile, as the diameter of the green case (40) gradually increases, the clearance (C) increases accordingly. When the clearance (C) increases, the pressure portion of the pressure plate (51) becomes compressed, while the non-contact portion bulges, causing localized surface defects. Consequently, the green case fails to maintain its circular shape and becomes compressed. Therefore, reflecting this, the size of the pressure plate (51) is changed to match the maximum outer circumference of the green tire. Each gripper (20) is used by setting the maximum and minimum allowable diameters of the green tire (green case). Consequently, when there is a change in the specifications of the green tire or a change in specifications with a large difference in diameter within the same specifications, the transfer device gripper (20) is replaced with one that fits the condition.

[0018] However, the above transfer device grippers (20) consist of 4 to 8, usually 6, as a set, and since the replacement time required to detach and attach these transfer device grippers (20) to the main body of the transfer device (not shown in the drawing) is considerable, there was a problem of reduced work productivity due to the excessive replacement time. As such, the existing grippers applied pressure to the green case at regular intervals, but the current T-ring gripper was also improved to interlock in a T shape so that pressure could be applied to the green case without any gaps. However, even in this case, the problem of localized surface defects occurring on the green tire could not be avoided, so multiple T-ring grippers had to be manufactured according to the external size of the tire, and there was the inconvenience of having to replace the grippers according to changes in the dimensions of the green tire. Prior art literature

[0019] Korean Registered Patent Publication No. 10-2121376 (Registered June 4, 2020) The problem to be solved

[0020] The present invention was devised to solve the problems of the prior art, and aims to provide a gripper mechanism for a green case moving device of a tire molding machine that improves productivity and eliminates the need for time spent changing gripper specifications by allowing the gripper to be variably adjusted to match the diameter of the green tire without replacing the gripper according to the change in the green tire diameter when changing the green tire specifications, thereby minimizing localized surface defects on the green tire to improve the roundness of the tire. means of solving the problem

[0021] The present invention, for achieving the above-mentioned purpose, relates to a gripper mechanism for a green case moving device of a tire forming machine, comprising a plurality of pressure devices installed at regular intervals along the outer surface of a transfer ring for green tire forming equipped with a belt building drum (BBD) that combines (compresses) a primary semi-finished product case and a secondary semi-finished product case to form a green tire, for pressurizing the secondary semi-finished product case during a gripping process; wherein each pressure device comprises a pressure plate body formed in a curved shape to be in close contact with the outer surface of the secondary semi-finished product case, and a main cylinder that moves the pressure plate body in a normal direction toward a central axis; wherein the gripper mechanism comprises a C-shaped opening at each end of the pressure plate body that is open toward the outside, a sub-pressure plate received in the C-shaped opening and extended to extend in the circumferential direction to be in close contact with and clamp the outer surface of the secondary semi-finished product case, and a sub-cylinder provided within the pressure plate body to extend or retract the sub-pressure plate in the circumferential direction, thereby thereby [pressurizing] the green tire It is characterized by the fact that the sub-pressure plates of the pressurizing devices arranged adjacently are pulled out so that their ends are in close contact with each other, thereby enabling the green tire to be clamped across the entire 360-degree circumferential surface.

[0022] According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the sub-pressure plate is characterized by being dovetail-coupled to the inner wall surface of the U-shaped opening of the main body of the pressure plate so as to guide curved movement.

[0023] In addition, according to the present invention, the bottom surface of the pressure plate body is characterized by having a plurality of spike protrusions.

[0024] In addition, according to the present invention, the lower surface of the sub-pressure plate is characterized by having a plurality of spike protrusions.

[0025] According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the operating rod of the sub-cylinder is characterized by being rotatably connected to a piston, a sub-pressurizing plate, and a hinge.

[0026] According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the operating rod of the sub-cylinder is characterized by being formed to have a concentric curved surface in the same arc shape as the pressure plate body. Effects of the invention

[0027] The variable transfer device gripper of the tire molding machine according to the present invention improves roundness by making contact with all sides of the green case with equal pressure in the circumferential direction. This effect improves the run-out peak and reduces the occurrence of peak booming noise and resonance noise at specific speeds and frequencies. Furthermore, due to the variable characteristic of the pressure plate area of the gripper mechanism being reduced or expanded, the gripper mechanism can be used universally without replacement to accommodate green tires of various diameters. Accordingly, the problem of reduced productivity caused by the replacement of production facilities due to the limited tire size application, which was a disadvantage of existing dedicated gripper mechanisms, can be overcome.

[0028] In particular, the sub-cylinder is housed within the main body of the pressure plate, simplifying the equipment's appearance and improving aesthetics, while the sub-cylinder is smoothly guided by a dovetail. Brief explanation of the drawing

[0033] The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the attached exemplary drawings.

[0034] FIG. 3 is a perspective view schematically illustrating a single gripper mechanism constituting a gripper mechanism for a green case moving device of a tire molding machine according to the present invention, FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view AA of a single gripper mechanism for a green case moving device of a tire molding machine according to the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view BB of a single gripper mechanism for a green case moving device of a tire molding machine according to the present invention.

[0035] The individual gripper mechanism (60A) constituting the gripper mechanism of the transfer ring of the green case moving device of the tire molding machine according to the present invention is represented by the reference numeral 60. As shown in FIG. 9, the individual gripper mechanism (60) is installed at regular intervals along the outer surface of the transfer ring equipped with a belt building drum (BBD) in a radial direction, such as a secondary semi-finished product case (40) that forms a green tire, and a total of 6 are installed radially with a central angle of 60 degrees to form the entire gripper mechanism (60A).

[0036] The above single-piece gripper mechanism (60) is equipped with a pressurizing device (62) that pressurizes the secondary semi-finished product case (40) during the gripping process, and as the operating means (64) of the pressurizing device (62), a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder or a solenoid, which is an electrical operating means, can be used.

[0037] The above operating means (64) is equipped with an operating rod (68), and the operating rod (68) is configured to be movable in the direction of the center axis of the green tire, that is, in the normal direction, by the operating means (64). For example, when the main cylinder (70) of the operating means (64) is of a hydraulic or pneumatic operating type, when hydraulic or pneumatic pressure is supplied, the operating rod (68) is extended so that the length of the extension from the main cylinder (70) increases, and when hydraulic or pneumatic pressure is supplied in the opposite direction, the operating rod (68) is immersed into the main cylinder (70).

[0038] As shown in FIG. 3, the pressurizing device (62) also has a pressurizing plate body (66) that is fixed to the end of the operating rod (68) and moves in a normal direction by the withdrawal or immersion of the operating rod (68), and the bottom surface (66a) of the pressurizing plate body (66) is formed as an arc-shaped curved surface having a predetermined curvature, for example, a radius curvature of the green tire diameter that is the standard for the operation, and spike protrusions (72) are formed protruding in a matrix at predetermined intervals on this bottom surface (66a).

[0039] At both ends of the circumference of the pressure plate body (66), openings (74, 74) are formed in a U-shape and are each open toward the outside. At these two openings (74, 74), a sub-pressure plate (76, 76) is provided with a width (b) that matches the width (b) between the two walls of the open space, and the sub-pressure plate (76, 76) is also formed with the same curved surface as the pressure plate body (66).

[0040] And as can be seen in the cross-sectional shape of the BB in Fig. 5, a dovetail guide portion (84) is provided on the two side walls (78, 78), specifically on the contact boundary surface between the main body of the pressure plate (66) and the sub-pressure plate (76), and the groove (80) and the projection (82) are combined to form a dovetail guide portion (84). This dovetail guide portion (84) is designed with the same curved surface as the main body of the pressure plate (66) so that the sub-pressure plate (76) can move in an arc shape.

[0041] Inside the central body of the above-mentioned pressure plate main body (66), a sub-cylinder mechanism (86) is provided that operates by hydraulic or pneumatic pressure (including a solenoid actuator) and has a predetermined stroke distance (L). Inside this sub-cylinder mechanism (86), two pistons (88, 88) for left and right extraction are hermetically accommodated with an O-ring interposed therein. One end of an operating rod (92, 92) is connected to these pistons (88, 88) so that they can rotate by means of a hinge (90, 90), and the other end of the operating rod (92, 92) is connected to the mutually opposing inner sides of the above-mentioned sub-pressure plates (76, 76) by means of a hinge (94, 94) so that they can rotate.

[0042] And spike protrusions (72) are also provided on the bottom surface of the above sub-pressure plate (76, 76).

[0043] Here, the reference numeral 96 is a hydraulic / pneumatic supply hole, and one hole is installed in the center or two holes are formed to supply and discharge hydraulic / pneumatic pressure respectively, and a nipple is connected to the hole to connect to the compressor and the tank side with a hose. The holes (96, 96) on both sides of the sub-cylinder (86) through which the operating rod (92) passes can be formed to have a size sufficient to allow smooth movement of the straight operating rod (92, 92), or if the operating rod (92, 92) is formed as a concentric curved surface like the bottom surface (66a), the hole (96) can be designed to maintain airtightness with respect to the operating rod (92, 92). When the operating rod (92, 92) is designed as a curved surface, the sub-pressure plate (76, 76) moves along a curved trajectory along a dovetail guide section with the same curved structure and is withdrawn or retracted, and when designed as a curved airtight structure, it is possible to form one hydraulic / pneumatic inlet / outlet port in the central part of the space between the pistons (88, 88) and one each in the outer cylinder space of the pistons (88, 88).

[0044] FIG. 6 illustrates a configuration in which a mounting block (98) for mounting an operating means for operating the unit gripper mechanism of the present invention is provided protruding from the center of the pressure plate body, and the basic configuration is the same as the embodiment of FIG. 3, showing a state in which the sub-pressure plate (76) is retracted and immersed into the opening of the pressure plate body, and FIG. 7 shows a state in which the sub-pressure plate (76) is pulled out of the pressure plate body.

[0045] The operation of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 8 and FIGS. 9.

[0046] In FIG. 8, the outer ring structure shows the arrangement position of the individual gripper mechanisms (60) in the initial state of the gripper mechanism (60A), and the inner ring structure shows the individual gripper mechanisms (60) constituting the gripper mechanism (60A) moved in the direction of the central axis to clamp and fix the secondary semi-finished product case (40). FIG. 9 is a drawing showing the state in which the individual gripper mechanisms (60) of the gripper mechanism (60A) of the present invention clamp and fix the secondary semi-finished product case (40).

[0047] When the secondary semi-finished product case (40) (simply a green tire) is mounted on the tire molding drum and reaches the correct position, the six individual gripper mechanisms (60) constituting the gripper mechanism (60A) are arranged radially around the outer circumference of the secondary semi-finished product case (green tire) (40) at spaced positions, and in this state, the individual gripper mechanisms (60) are arranged at spaced distances from each other and form a ring structure shape on the outside in FIG. 8.

[0048] In the state of the ring structure arranged on the outer side of FIG. 8, the control unit drives and controls an unillustrated pneumatic (or hydraulic) pump to supply pneumatic (or hydraulic) pressure to each main cylinder (70) so as to clamp and fix the secondary semi-finished product case (40), and accordingly, the operating rod (68) extends in all directions along the 360-degree circumferential surface, causing each pressure plate body (66) to move in a manner that contracts from the radial direction toward the central axis direction simultaneously (refer to the gripper mechanism in the form of the inner ring structure in FIG. 8).

[0049] In this way, all pressure plate bodies (66) are in close contact with the outer surface of the secondary semi-finished product case (40), and the spike protrusions formed on the bottom surface are pressure-closed.

[0050] However, simultaneously with the operation of the main cylinder (70) or before the pressure plate body (66) comes into contact with the outer surface of the secondary semi-finished product case (40), the control unit operates the sub-cylinder (86) to extend the operating rod (92, 92) by a predetermined distance, and this extended distance results in a state where all pressure plate bodies (66) approach and come into contact with the secondary semi-finished product case (40) in a radial direction, and the sub-pressure plates (76, 76) fill the space between adjacent pressure plate bodies (66) and come into contact with the surface (see FIG. 9). To this end, the control unit calculates the stroke distance of the sub-pressure plates (76, 76...) to be withdrawn based on the pre-entered diameter of the secondary semi-finished product case (40) and controls the sub-cylinder (86) to be operated before the pressure plate body (66) approaches the secondary semi-finished product case (40) so that it is withdrawn by a programmed predetermined withdrawal length. When the pressure plate bodies (66) come into contact with the surface of the secondary semi-finished product case (40), the sub-pressure plates (76, 65) that have been withdrawn are in close contact with each other's sides and clamp and fix the surface of the secondary semi-finished product case (40) in a 360-degree direction without any gap. At this time, a molding drum equipped with the secondary semi-finished product case (40) is transported while the multiple spike protrusions (72) press the surface of the secondary semi-finished product case (40) to fix and clamp it without slipping or lifting, and is positioned concentrically with the molding drum equipped with the primary semi-finished product, and then joined together. Alternatively, the system may be controlled so that the sub-pressure plates are supplied with air pressure from the beginning to the maximum extent, and as the diameter gradually decreases, the sub-pressure plates come into contact with each other at some point, and then, as the diameter decreases further to approach and adhere to the secondary semi-finished product case (40), the sub-pressure plates are pushed into the opening to maintain the adhesion. In this case, as the diameter decreases, the force pushing the sub-pressure plates into the opening is stronger than the air pressure inside each sub-cylinder; therefore, some of the air inside the sub-cylinder is pushed toward the compressed air tank or discharged to the outside through valve control.

[0051] According to the configuration of the present invention, since the sub-pressure plates (76) are allowed to move out within a predetermined designed stroke distance (L) (see FIG. 7), they can perform close support of the outer surface without gaps in response to green tires of various diameters, so there is no need to perform the complex and cumbersome task of replacing the gripper mechanism every time the diameter of the green tire changes.

[0052] It will be obvious to those skilled in the art that the present invention described above is not limited to the aforementioned embodiments and attached drawings, and that various substitutions, modifications, and changes are possible within the scope of the technical concept of the present invention.
