Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a lamp for an automobile and an automobile including the lamp. Background Technology
[0002] Various types of lamps are installed at the front and rear of a vehicle. For example, the rear combination lamp installed at the rear of the vehicle may include a backup lamp, a tail lamp, a stop lamp, and a turn signal lamp within a single assembly.
[0003] Among these, the tail lamp and stop lamp perform the functions of a tail light, which informs vehicles behind of the vehicle's position, and a stop light, which indicates to rear vehicles that the vehicle is decelerating. It is common for both tail lights and stop lights to emit red light. Since the tail lights are always on at night, the light intensity of the stop lights—which emit the same color as the tail lights—needs to be designed to be relatively high to ensure that the stop light function, which activates when the brakes are applied, is properly utilized.
[0004] Meanwhile, conventional automotive lamps generally utilize a direct light method, which directs light outward through an inner lens without using a reflective surface, and an indirect light method, which uses a reflective surface to distribute light. For example, an automotive lamp using the indirect light method includes a reflective surface that is positioned in front of a light source unit with respect to the light irradiation direction, is formed to have a curvature, and reflects light incident from the light source unit to distribute it outward.
[0005] However, according to conventional technology, optical systems using direct or indirect light methods require an air gap of at least 15 mm, and since an inner lens that performs the function of light diffusion as well as a reflective surface is required, there was a problem that the structural freedom of automotive lamps was limited. In addition, when an inner lens is applied, there was also a problem that it is difficult to implement static light distribution by a stop light.
[0006] In addition, although research on lamp optical systems for realizing various effects, such as stereoscopic effects, using organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with planar light source characteristics has been actively conducted recently, a significant number of OLED lamp optical systems have faced the problem of not satisfying North American STOP regulations.
[0007] Therefore, there is a need to develop automotive lamp optical systems that satisfy static light distribution regulations while ensuring aesthetic appeal and design freedom.

[0036] Hereinafter, an automobile lamp and an automobile according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0038] automotive lamps
[0039] FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view illustrating the structure of a lamp for an automobile according to an example of the present invention.
[0040] As illustrated in FIG. 1, an automobile lamp (10, hereinafter referred to as "lamp") according to the present invention may include a circuit board (100) and a plurality of light sources (200) provided on the upper surface of the circuit board (100). FIG. 1 illustrates, as an example, that four light sources are provided on the upper surface of the circuit board (100). Meanwhile, the circuit board (100) may include a printed circuit board (PCB). For example, the circuit board (100) may include a flexible printed circuit board, and the thickness of the circuit board (100) may be 0.05 mm or more and 5 mm or less. More preferably, the thickness of the circuit board (100) may be 0.1 mm or more and 1 mm or less.
[0041] Additionally, the lamp (10) may include an optical resin layer (300) provided on the upper surface of the circuit board (100) and configured to cover a plurality of light sources (200), and a phosphor layer (400) provided in close contact with the upper surface of the optical resin layer (300). Accordingly, as shown in FIG. 1, a plurality of light sources (200) can be molded by the optical resin layer (300). The optical resin layer (300) may be configured to protect the plurality of light sources (200) from external impacts while ensuring uniformity of light emitted from the plurality of light sources (200).
[0042] Additionally, a plurality of light sources (200) may be provided on the upper surface of the circuit board (100) in a flip-chip manner. The flip-chip method means that when attaching a component, such as a light source, to a circuit board, the component is fused directly using an electrode pattern formed on the circuit board without using a separate connection structure. When a plurality of light sources (200) are provided on the circuit board (100) in a flip-chip manner, the wire attached to the light source can be removed, thereby improving reliability against external shock or thermal shock, and also improving the luminous efficiency of the light source.
[0043] Meanwhile, according to the present invention, when the distance between a plurality of light sources (200) provided on a circuit board (100) is denoted as P, P may have a value of 3 mm or more and 10 mm or less. More preferably, P may be 4 mm or more and 6 mm or less.
[0044] Additionally, a plurality of light sources (200) may have a predetermined emission peak. For example, the emission peak of the plurality of light sources (200) may have a wavelength of 420 nm or more and 470 nm or less. For example, the light source (200) may include a blue light-emitting diode having an emission peak with a wavelength of 420 nm or more and 470 nm or less.
[0045] Meanwhile, when the thickness of the optical resin layer (300) is denoted as T1 and the thickness of the phosphor layer (400) is denoted as T2, the relationship of [Equation 1] below can be satisfied according to the present invention.
[0047] [Equation 1]
[0048] 0.1 ≤ (T1 + T2) / P ≤ 2.0
[0050] If the condition of [Equation 1] above is satisfied, the light uniformity of the lamp (10) according to the present invention can be improved. For example, the distance P between light sources may be equal to the sum of the thickness T1 of the optical resin layer (300) and the thickness T2 of the phosphor layer (400), T1+T2.
[0052] In addition, according to the present invention, the thickness T1 of the optical resin layer (300) may have a value of 3 mm or more and 10 mm or less so that the lamp (10) can have excellent durability and bending characteristics. More preferably, T1 may be 4 mm or more and 6 mm or less.
[0054] Meanwhile, the phosphor layer (400) of the lamp (10) according to the present invention may include a resin matrix (410) and a phosphor (420) dispersed within the resin matrix. As shown in FIG. 1, the phosphor (420) dispersed within the resin matrix (410) may be configured to simultaneously diffuse when emitting light by absorbing light emitted from a plurality of light sources (200), thereby realizing the characteristics of a surface light source. In this case, it may be advantageous in terms of improving light uniformity compared to the case where a diffusion filler according to the prior art is used.
[0055] Meanwhile, to improve light diffusivity and light uniformity, the refractive index of the phosphor (420) may have a value of 1.5 or higher. More preferably, the refractive index of the phosphor (420) may be 1.5 or higher and 2.5 or lower.
[0056] Additionally, the phosphor (420) may include a red phosphor having a size of 1 μm or more and 100 μm or less. In this case, the size of the phosphor (420) may refer to the diameter or maximum length of the particle. Meanwhile, the red phosphor may include one or more of a garnet-based phosphor, a silicate-based phosphor, a nitride-based phosphor, and an oxynitride-based phosphor. For example, the garnet-based red phosphor may include one or more of YAG (Yttrium Aluminum Garnet) and TAG (terbium aluminum garnet). Additionally, the size of the red phosphor may be 5 μm or more and 50 μm or less.
[0058] Figure 2 is a graph showing the wavelength conversion of a light source by the phosphor of the present invention.
[0059] For example, when the light source (200, see FIG. 1) of the lamp (10, see FIG. 1) according to the present invention is blue light having an emission peak of about 450 nm and the phosphor (420, see FIG. 1) is a red phosphor, as shown in FIG. 2, it can be confirmed that the wavelength of the blue light having an emission peak of about 450 nm is converted into red light having an emission peak of about 625 nm.
[0061] Meanwhile, according to the present invention, the optical resin layer (300) and the resin matrix (410) may each include an addition-reaction type silicone resin composition. More specifically, the addition-reaction type silicone resin composition may include a methyl group-containing silicone composition and a curing catalyst. In the case of the methyl group-containing silicone composition, moldability, flexibility, and heat resistance are excellent, yellowing can be prevented during long-term use, and it may also be advantageous in terms of cost-effectiveness.
[0062] The methyl group-containing silicone composition may include a methyl group-containing polysiloxane, a methyl group-containing chlorosilane compound, and a methyl group-containing hydrogen polysiloxane.
[0063] The methyl group-containing polysiloxane may include one or more of polymethylvinylsiloxane, dimethylvinyl-terminated dimethylsiloxane copolymer, methylvinylsiloxane-dimethylsiloxane copolymer, dimethylvinylsiloxy-terminated dimethylsiloxane, dimethylvinylsiloxy-terminated dimethylsiloxane, dimethylvinylsiloxy-terminated trimethylsiloxy-terminated dimethylsiloxane-methylvinylsiloxane copolymer, and trimethylsiloxy-terminated dimethylsiloxane-methylphenylsiloxane-methylvinylsiloxane copolymer. For example, it may include a dimethylvinyl-terminated dimethylsiloxane copolymer. Additionally, the methyl group-containing polysiloxane may be included in an amount of 65 to 85 weight percent based on the total weight of the methyl group-containing silicone composition. In this case, the flexibility, heat resistance, and reliability of the optical resin layer (300) and the resin matrix (410) may be excellent. More preferably, methyl group-containing polysiloxane may be included in an amount of 70 to 75 weight percent.
[0064] Methyl group-containing chlorosilane compounds may include one or more of dimethylchlorosilane, trimethylchlorosilane, vinyldimethylchlorosilane, and diethylmethylchlorosilane.
[0065] A methyl group-containing chlorosilane compound may be included in an amount of 13 to 30 weight percent based on the total weight of the methyl group-containing silicone composition. In this case, the crosslinking density, heat resistance, and mechanical properties of the optical resin layer (300) and the resin matrix (410) may be excellent. More preferably, the methyl group-containing chlorosilane compound may be included in an amount of 15 to 25 weight percent.
[0066] Methyl group-containing hydrogen polysiloxane may contain one or more, for example, two or more silicon-bonded hydrogen groups per molecule. For example, the bonding positions of the hydrogen atoms bonded to the silicon atoms of the methyl group-containing hydrogen polysiloxane may be one or more of the molecular chain ends and molecular chain side chains. Additionally, the methyl group-containing hydrogen polysiloxane may include one or more of dimethylhydrogensiloxy-terminated polydimethylsiloxane and trimethylsiloxy-terminated dimethylsiloxane-methylhydrogensiloxane copolymers.
[0068] Additionally, the methyl group-containing hydrogen polysiloxane may be included in an amount of 1 to 8 weight percent based on the total weight of the methyl group-containing silicone composition. In this case, the crosslinking density, heat resistance, and mechanical properties of the optical resin layer (300) and the resin matrix (410) may be excellent.
[0069] Meanwhile, an additive may be further included in an amount of 0.001 to 5 weight percent relative to the total weight of the methyl group-containing silicone composition. The additive may include a light stabilizer, a heat stabilizer, an antioxidant, an antistatic agent, a lubricant, and a flame retardant.
[0070] Meanwhile, the aforementioned curing catalyst may include one or more of finely powdered platinum, platinum black, chloroplatinic acid, alcohol-modified chloroplatinic acid, chloroplatinic acid-olefin complex, chloroplatinic acid-alkenylsiloxane complex, and chloroplatinic acid-divinyltetramethyldisiloxane complex. In this case, the curing catalyst may be included in an amount of 0.0001 parts by weight or more and 5 parts by weight or less per 100 parts by weight of the methyl group-containing silicone composition.
[0071] In addition, the aforementioned platinum-based catalyst may be included in an amount of 0.0001 parts by weight or more and 5 parts by weight or less per 100 parts by weight of the methyl group-containing silicone composition. In this case, the curing reaction rate of the addition reaction type silicone resin composition may be easily controlled. For example, the platinum-based catalyst may be included in an amount of 0.01 parts by weight to 3 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the methyl group-containing silicone composition. Or, it may be included in an amount of 0.03 parts by weight to 2 parts by weight.
[0072] Meanwhile, the aforementioned resin matrix may have a refractive index of 1.3 or higher and 1.8 or lower. In one example, the resin matrix may include one or more of polycarbonate, polystyrene, polyolefin, polyester, and polyalkyl (meth)acrylate. More preferably, the refractive index of the resin matrix may be 1.4 or higher and 1.5 or lower. Or, it may be 1.4 or higher and 1.42 or lower.
[0073] In addition, the aforementioned optical resin layer may have a refractive index of 1.3 or higher and 1.8 or lower. More preferably, the refractive index of the optical resin layer may be 1.4 or higher and 1.5 or lower.
[0074] In addition, the difference in refractive index between the optical resin layer and the resin matrix of the phosphor layer may be 0.2 or less. In this case, the uniformity of light of the lamp according to the present invention may be excellent. For example, the optical resin layer and the resin matrix may include the same type of addition-reaction type silicone resin composition. In this case, the adhesion between the optical resin layer and the resin matrix may be excellent.
[0075] The fluorescent layer may comprise 50 to 99.9 weight% of a resin matrix and 0.1 to 50 weight% of a red phosphor. In this case, not only can the light uniformity of the lamp be ensured, but the durability and bending characteristics of the fluorescent layer can also be excellent.
[0076] The thickness T2 of the fluorescent layer may be 0.1 mm or more and 1 mm or less. For example, it may be 0.3 mm or more and 1 mm or less. In this case, durability and bending characteristics may be excellent.
[0078] Meanwhile, as illustrated in FIG. 1, the lamp (10) according to the present invention may further include an optical filter member (500) provided on the upper part of the phosphor layer (400) and blocking some of the wavelengths of visible light emitted from the phosphor layer (400). That is, the optical filter member (500) may be configured to change the color of the light emitted to the outside by blocking some of the visible light emitted from the phosphor layer (400).
[0080] Figure 3 is a graph showing the wavelength conversion effect when an optical filter member according to the present invention is applied.
[0081] The lamp (10) according to the present invention may be a lamp mounted on the rear of a vehicle. In this case, the light emitted from the lamp (10) according to the present invention may be red light. In this case, the optical filter member (500) according to the present invention may be a red outer lens provided at the outermost edge of the lamp (10). That is, when the optical filter member (500) is a red outer lens, red light may be emitted to the outside by blocking the blue wavelength light among the light emitted from a plurality of light sources (200) as shown in FIG. 3. However, alternatively, the optical filter member (500) may be a red inner lens provided in the internal space of the lamp (10), or it may be a configuration provided separately from the inner lens or the outer lens.
[0083] Figure 4 is a photograph showing a light distribution pattern formed according to an automobile lamp according to an example of the present invention.
[0084] As illustrated in FIG. 4, a specific pattern (Z) may be formed in the light distribution pattern formed according to the lamp (10) of the present invention. To this end, the phosphor layer (400, see FIG. 1) may further include a pattern area formed on the surface of the phosphor layer (400) and having a groove of an indented shape. More specifically, the pattern area may be provided on the upper surface of the phosphor layer (400). For example, such a pattern area may be provided by the phosphor layer (400) by forming a groove area having a shape corresponding to the pattern area in a mold for manufacturing the phosphor layer (400). However, the pattern area may be manufactured by various methods.
[0086] Example 1
[0088] (1) Preparation of addition-reaction type silicone resin composition: To prepare a resin matrix for an optical resin layer and a phosphor layer, an addition-reaction type silicone resin composition was prepared comprising 100 parts by weight of a methyl group-containing silicone composition and 0.001 parts by weight of a curing catalyst (platinum-based catalyst). The methyl group-containing silicone composition comprises 75% by weight of a dimethylvinyl-terminated dimethylsiloxane copolymer, 23% by weight of a methyl group-containing chlorosilane compound (at least one of chlorotrimethylsilane and dichloroethylmethylsilane), 1% by weight of a methyl group-containing hydrogen polysiloxane (trimethylsiloxy-terminated dimethylsiloxane-methylhydrosilane copolymer), and 1% by weight of an additive.
[0089] (2) Manufacturing of a structure comprising a circuit board for an automobile lamp, a plurality of light sources, an optical resin layer, and a phosphor layer laminated thereon: A flexible circuit board (Flexible PCB) with a thickness of 0.5 mm and a plurality of light sources (blue light-emitting diodes with an emission peak of 450 nm) arranged at 5 mm intervals on the circuit board using a flip chip method were prepared. The plurality of light sources were molded onto the upper surface of the circuit board using an addition-reactive silicone resin composition to form an optical resin layer having a refractive index of 1.4 or higher and 1.5 or lower. Then, a phosphor layer was formed on the surface of the optical resin layer to manufacture an automobile lamp.
[0090] At this time, the phosphor layer was prepared to include 80 to 99.5 wt% of a resin matrix having a refractive index of 1.4 or higher and 1.5 or lower formed by including an addition-reaction type silicone resin composition, and a red phosphor (a nitride-based phosphor with a refractive index of 1.5 or higher and 2.5 or lower, 0.5 to 20 wt%) dispersed in the resin matrix. In addition, the combined thickness of the optical resin layer and the phosphor layer was prepared to be 5 mm.
[0091] FIG. 5 is a photograph showing a structure in which a circuit board, a plurality of light sources, an optical resin layer, and a phosphor layer are laminated to form an automotive lamp according to Example 1 of the present invention, emitting light. Referring to FIG. 5, it can be seen that in the case of Example 1, the structure has excellent flexible characteristics and can implement a surface light source and tail and stop light distribution.
[0093] Example 2
[0095] A structure was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1, except that a methyl group-containing silicone composition comprising 71 wt% of a dimethylvinyl-terminated dimethylsiloxane copolymer, 25 wt% of a methyl group-containing chlorosilane compound (at least one of chlorotrimethylsilane and dichloroethylmethylsilane), 2 wt% of a methyl group-containing hydrogen polysiloxane (trimethylsiloxy-terminated dimethylsiloxane-methylhydrosilane copolymer), and 2 wt% of an additive was applied.
[0097] (2) Manufacturing of an automobile lamp: An automobile lamp comprising the structure manufactured according to Example 1 and Example 2 was manufactured.
[0099] In the case of conventional planar light sources using 3D lenses, multiple lenses and LED light sources were required, which increased the thickness of the optical system and resulted in low space efficiency. Additionally, the difficulty in injection molding and assembly of the lenses led to low economic feasibility, and the low light efficiency relative to the area made it difficult to use as a stationary light.
[0101] Figure 6 is a photograph showing an automobile lamp according to Example 1 of the present invention applied to an automobile.
[0102] Referring to FIG. 6, it can be seen that the automotive lamp according to Example 1 can achieve slimming of the lamp module in accordance with recent design trends, reduce production costs through the simplification of the assembly process of the lamp module and miniaturization of the lamp, and easily realize geometric shapes that could not be achieved in the past.
[0104] (3) Thermal shock test: A bending thermal shock test was performed on the structure of the automotive lamp according to Example 1 and Example 2. Specifically, the structure manufactured according to Example 1 was left at -40±3℃ for 10 minutes, and then left at 85±3℃ for 10 minutes at a heating rate of 12℃ / min for 1000 cycles. After the test, the structure according to Example 1 was lit and the luminous flux was measured. If the luminous flux decreased to 20% or less compared to the luminous flux before the thermal shock test, it was judged to pass. The discoloration, fading, swelling, cracking, etc. of the specimen were evaluated by visual inspection. As a result, in the case of the structures manufactured according to Example 1 and Example 2, the luminous flux when lit after the thermal shock test was reduced to 2.2% or less compared to the luminous flux before the thermal shock test, and no discoloration, fading, swelling, or cracking occurred.
[0106] automobile
[0107] An automobile according to the present invention may include an automobile lamp (10, hereinafter referred to as 'lamp'). In this case, the lamp (10) may be a lamp provided at the rear of the automobile. In this case, the lamp (10) may include a circuit board (100), a plurality of light sources (200) provided on the upper surface of the circuit board (100), an optical resin layer (300) provided on the upper surface of the circuit board (100) and molding the plurality of light sources (200), and a phosphor layer (400) provided in close contact with the upper surface of the optical resin layer (300). In this case, the phosphor layer (400) may include a resin matrix (410) and a phosphor (420) dispersed within the resin matrix (410).
[0109] Meanwhile, according to the present invention, at least a portion of the upper surface of the circuit board (100) may be provided with a reflective area for reflecting light emitted from a plurality of light sources (200). Most of the light emitted from the plurality of light sources (200) may be incident upward toward the phosphor layer (400), but some may be incident downward toward the circuit board (100). Among these, the light incident toward the circuit board (100) does not contribute to the light emission of the lamp (10), and thus may act as a factor that degrades the performance of the lamp (10). Therefore, according to the present invention, by forming a reflective area on at least a portion of the circuit board (100) so that the light incident from the plurality of light sources (200) is reflected and then incident again on the phosphor layer (400), the degrade in performance of the lamp (10) can be minimized. More preferably, the reflective area may have white color to maximize the reflectivity in the reflective area.
[0111] Although the present invention has been described above with reference to limited embodiments and drawings, the present invention is not limited thereto, and it is obvious that various implementations are possible within the scope of the technical spirit of the present invention and the equivalent scope of the claims described below by those skilled in the art to which the present invention belongs.
