Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present disclosure provides a volatile float capable of preventing the volatilization of odors and adsorbing odors. Background Technology

[0002] In general, livestock manure generated in livestock barns such as pig barns, cattle barns, and chicken barns produces complex odors such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and mercaptan. The complex odors from livestock manure not only threaten the health of farm workers but also spread to residential areas, impairing the health environment of nearby residents and causing problems such as complaints from neighboring residents.

[0003] Therefore, the government and local authorities are implementing various measures to resolve the odors generated from livestock manure, such as permitting windowless, enclosed livestock barns and providing support for the improvement of existing open-type barns.

[0004] However, while the aforementioned windowless livestock barn may be able to temporarily prevent the diffusion of complex odors generated from livestock manure, the complex odors from the enclosed manure must be discharged at high concentrations at regular intervals. Consequently, conventional windowless livestock barns require extensive equipment to treat the odors discharged at high concentrations, leading to increased installation costs and inadequate prevention of volatilization and removal of high-concentration odors.

[0005] Conventional technologies for removing complex odors from livestock manure include various methods such as adsorption, scrubbers, absorption, chemical solutions, or decomposition using microorganisms; however, these methods are currently unable to fundamentally improve the environment within livestock barns or address the volume of odors generated from the manure.

[0006] Furthermore, conventional livestock manure odor removal devices installed in livestock barns have very high installation costs and short lifespans, resulting in poor economic feasibility; consequently, livestock industry workers are reluctant to use them.

[0046] The term "comprising" in the present disclosure is an open description having an equivalent meaning to expressions such as "comprising," "containing," "having," or "characterizing," and does not exclude elements, materials, or processes not additionally listed.

[0047] The present disclosure provides a float that prevents odor volatilization and adsorbs complex odors, while being simple to install and having excellent economic efficiency through long-term use, and a method for preventing odors from livestock manure using the same.

[0048] Since the above-mentioned complex odor float can prevent the volatilization of substances evaporating from the floating surface, it can also be used as a float to prevent the volatilization (volatility) of water or organic solvents in lakes or organic solvent tanks.

[0049] In addition, the above-mentioned complex odor float includes a volatilization prevention section with a structure that can be opened and closed, and the included flip is filled with an odor adsorbent, and furthermore, since different odor adsorbents are filled in each section of the flip, it can be usefully used as an odor volatilization prevention float for livestock manure tanks that cause complex odors.

[0050] The following describes the anti-volatile floating body of the present disclosure.

[0051] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the anti-volatilization float may be a float structure forming a plane parallel to a floating surface, and may include an anti-volatilization member comprising a frame having its own buoyancy and at least one flip installed inside the frame and capable of opening and closing.

[0052] The above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body can prevent the volatilization of complex odor compounds, toxic compounds, and moisture that cause odors to volatilize from the floating surface, and thus can be used in various fields such as preventing moisture volatilization, preventing odor volatilization, or preventing volatile organic solvent volatilization.

[0053] In addition, the above-mentioned anti-volatilization float includes an anti-volatilization unit comprising at least one openable / closable flip, and when installed on the floating surface of a livestock manure tank, the livestock manure accumulated on the upper part of the anti-volatilization float can be automatically discharged to the interface (floating surface) between the installed anti-volatilization float and the livestock manure described above without the need for additional work by a worker.

[0054] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the flip may be formed to maintain a closed state under normal circumstances and to open upon material input, but to be restored to a closed state.

[0055] The above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body is openable and closable, so as described above, it is possible to automatically discharge contaminants accumulated on the upper part of the anti-volatilization floating body, and after discharge, the flip is automatically closed again to seal the floating surface, thereby preventing volatilization of the floating surface.

[0056] That is, the above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body is installed to prevent volatilization of a manure tank into which livestock manure is continuously fed from the top, and specifically, it floats on the manure interface of the manure tank to prevent the volatilization of complex odors generated from the manure.

[0057] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the anti-volatilization member may include a plurality of the flips, wherein each of the flips may be closely arranged with respect to one another so as to close the floating surface within the frame.

[0058] The anti-vaporation floating body comprising the above-mentioned plurality of flips has faster opening and closing capabilities compared to an anti-vaporation floating body with a single flip installed, so as described above, when installed in a livestock manure tank, it can provide excellent anti-vaporation capabilities for odors generated from livestock manure.

[0059] In addition, the above-mentioned anti-volatile unit has a plurality of flips arranged closely together,

[0060] The anti-volatilization floating body, comprising a plurality of flips installed in the above-described livestock manure tank, is continuously fed from the livestock manure tank, allowing the livestock manure accumulated on the upper part of the anti-volatilization floating body to rotate rapidly, and the flips can close quickly to prevent the volatilization of odors generated from the livestock manure. Furthermore, the anti-volatilization unit may be preferred because the plurality of flips are closely arranged to each other, thereby minimizing gaps despite the use of multiple flips and providing excellent anti-volatilization performance.

[0061] Accordingly, the above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body includes an anti-volatilization section in which a plurality of flips are densely arranged, so that contaminants accumulated on the upper surface are not excessively accumulated and can be discharged quickly, and since the open flips can be closed again to completely seal the floating surface, it can have excellent anti-volatilization properties for a long period of time.

[0062] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the flip may rotate 360° around a rod that is formed to extend axially in a plane formed by the frame.

[0063] The above flip may be a flip that can be opened and closed by connecting with a single spring or an automatic opening and closing door-type flip, but preferably, it may be a 360° rotating flip as described above.

[0064] The anti-volatile floating body including the 360° rotatable flip described above may be preferred because the flip is easy to install and excellent opening and closing capabilities are possible without using power.

[0065] In another aspect of the present disclosure, the rod may be assembled with at least one of the flips, and the anti-volatile part may be assembled with at least one of the rods.

[0066] The above flip may be capable of rotating 360°, and at least one flip may be installed on the rod described above, so that each flip assembled on one rod may be capable of rotating 360° independently.

[0067] The above-mentioned anti-volatilization unit has one or more flips that can rotate 360° each assembled on a rod, and since the rods with the flips assembled are installed with the flips closely positioned together as described above, it has excellent anti-volatilization properties and can significantly reduce the odor of livestock manure tanks in particular.

[0068] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the frame and the flip are in the shape of a rectangle, wherein the direction of extension of the rod is called the width direction and the direction perpendicular to the width direction within the plane formed by the frame is called the width direction, and the width length of the flip may be greater than the width length.

[0069] In another aspect of the present disclosure, the flip may have a width-to-length ratio of 1:2 to 1:5, preferably 1:2 to 1:4, and more preferably 1:3 to 1:4.

[0070] As described above, the rectangular flips can intersect closely with one another, so that a volatile float containing them can have excellent volatile evaporation resistance.

[0071] In addition, the anti-volatile floating body including the above-mentioned rectangular flip (wing-type flip) can easily rotate 360° with only the load of the material stacked on the upper part, so that contaminants stacked on the anti-volatile floating body can be easily discharged.

[0072] A rectangular flip satisfying the width and width ratio of the above range may be more preferred because it has better 360° rotationality as described above.

[0073] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the flip may comprise one or more thermoplastic resins selected from polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyethylene terephthalate and polymethacrylate, etc.

[0074] The above-mentioned flip may be manufactured including the thermoplastic resin described above, and a volatile float containing it may be preferred as it possesses excellent self-buoyancy and may not corrode even after long-term use, but this is not necessarily a limitation.

[0075] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the flip may be filled with one or more odor adsorbents selected from zeolite, activated carbon, vermiculite, illite, and tourmaline.

[0076] The above-described anti-volatilization floating body can not only prevent volatilization of the floating surface, but also includes a flip filled with the odor adsorbent described above, thereby enabling the odor to be eliminated at the source, making it more useful as an anti-volatilization floating body for livestock manure odors.

[0077] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the flip may not be in a form in which different adsorbents are mixed and filled, but rather the flip may be divided into a plurality of sections, each section filled with a different adsorbent.

[0078] The substances causing the odor in livestock manure may include ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptan, and acetaldehyde. The substances causing the odor in livestock manure described above are mixtures of compounds having different physical properties, such as molecular weight, molecular polarity, and molecular size.

[0079] Therefore, since the complex odors of the livestock manure described above differ in the odor adsorbents that adsorb the odor-causing substances contained therein more effectively than each other, it may be preferred to fill the flip described above with two or more odor adsorbents.

[0080] In addition, preferably, the above flip may not simply be filled with multiple odor adsorbents (filled with a mixture of multiple odor adsorbents), but rather, as explained above, each section of the flip may be filled with different odor adsorbents (Janus).

[0081] A composite odor floating body comprising a flip filled with an odor adsorbent in the above Janus shape may be preferred as the flip can more effectively adsorb the composite odors generated from livestock manure as it moves.

[0082] As another embodiment of the present disclosure, when the flip is rectangular, it may be filled with different odor adsorbents in each of the first and second zones defined by the center of the assembled rod.

[0083] The anti-volatile floating body containing the above rectangular flip can more effectively remove odors generated in livestock manure by allowing the odor adsorbent filled in each zone to adsorb more complex odors when the flip rotates 360°.

[0084] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the flip may have a membrane formed thereon to prevent the displacement and mixing of the odor adsorbent filled inside.

[0085] The above flip has a membrane formed inside, so that depending on the movement of the flip, such as opening, closing, or sealing, the filled odor adsorbent does not shift, or as described above, multiple zones filled with different odor adsorbents are prevented from mixing with each other, thereby allowing the anti-volatilization floating body containing this to have an excellent odor reduction rate for a long period of time.

[0086] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the flip filled with the odor adsorbent may have pores formed on its outer surface so that the filled odor adsorbent can come into contact with the complex odor.

[0087] The pores of the above-mentioned flip are not specifically limited as long as pores are formed; as a non-limiting example, they may be molded from a porous sponge or a porous surface. Furthermore, the size of the pores of the above-mentioned flip can be used without limitation as long as the filled odor adsorbent does not escape to the outside of the flip.

[0088] That is, the above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body has excellent anti-volatilization properties and further includes flips filled with an odor adsorbent, so it can prevent the volatilization of odors and adsorb odors, thereby having a very excellent odor reduction rate.

[0089] In addition, the above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body includes a flip in which different adsorbents are filled in equally divided zones, so it can be effectively used as an anti-volatilization agent for livestock manure by adsorbing complex mixed odors such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptan, and acetaldehyde generated from livestock manure.

[0090] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the anti-volatilization member may have an upper and lower portion forming an inclination of 1 to 15° in the floating direction, preferably 5 to 15°, and more preferably 10 to 15°.

[0091] The above-mentioned slope-forming anti-volatile material allows contaminants accumulated on the upper surface to move smoothly toward the center, and as the contaminants move toward the center of the anti-volatile material, the amount of contaminants accumulated on the anti-volatile material can be significantly reduced, thereby preventing continuous volatilization of complex odors.

[0092] Therefore, the above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body has a slope within the range described above, so that livestock manure accumulated on the upper part of the anti-volatilization floating body can be discharged more effectively into the livestock manure tank, thereby preventing continuous odors without power and preventing volatilization by floating on the surface without additional work by the user.

[0093] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the anti-volatile floating body may have an opening and closing capacity of 20 weight% or less as measured by Formula 1 below.

[0094] [Equation 1]

[0095] Openability (Weight %) = W1 / W0 × 100

[0096] (In the above Equation 1, W0 is the total mass of bentonite sludge introduced into the tank after each time step, following the installation of a volatile float in the middle of the tank where a bentonite slurry mixed with 15 parts by weight of bentonite (Daemyung Chemical Co., Ltd.) is introduced at a rate of 100 kg / hr per 100 parts by weight of water, and W1 is the mass of bentonite sludge accumulated on the upper part of the volatile float after each time step, following the installation of the volatile float as specified above.)

[0097] As another embodiment of the present disclosure, the anti-volatilization floating body may have an opening / closing capacity of 15 weight% or less, preferably 10 weight% or less, and more preferably 5 weight% or less after 5 hours of installation.

[0098] As described above, the above-described anti-volatilization floating body includes at least one flip that can be opened and closed, so that contaminants accumulated on the upper surface can be discharged.

[0099] When the above-mentioned anti-volatilization float is applied as a float for preventing livestock manure odors utilizing the method described below, it can further reduce complex odors generated from livestock manure. This effect is achieved because the anti-volatilization float installed in the livestock manure tank possesses the excellent opening and closing properties described above, thereby preventing continuously fed livestock manure from accumulating on the upper surface of the anti-volatilization float, and thus preventing odors from volatilizing from the livestock manure accumulated on the upper surface.

[0100] In addition, the opening and closing ability of the anti-volatilization floating body measured by the above Equation 1 is measured at each time interval after installation, which means that the anti-volatilization floating body described above can be continuously opened and closed, so it can have an excellent odor reduction rate for a long period without additional work by the user.

[0101] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the anti-volatilization floating body may be floated such that the anti-volatilization portion sinks to 30 to 70 volume%, preferably 40 to 70 volume%, and more preferably 45 to 55 volume%.

[0102] A buoyancy-preventing float with a buoyancy-preventing part submerged in the above-mentioned volume% range can be completely adhered to the floating surface and has excellent sealing properties, thereby further reducing buoyancy on the floating surface and maintaining excellent flip rotation properties, which may be preferred.

[0103] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the frame having self-buoyancy may be composed only of a buoyancy part having self-buoyancy, but it may be preferred to include a fixing part that fixes the buoyancy part and the anti-volatile part described above.

[0104] The above frame may have a fixed part installed inside the buoyancy part, and the assembly of the buoyancy part and the fixed part is very simple. Including these, it can float in close contact with the floating surface as described above, thereby effectively preventing volatilization of the floating surface.

[0105] In addition, the above frame includes a fixing part that secures the anti-volatilization part, and compared to a frame consisting of only a buoyancy part, it secures the flip included in the anti-volatilization part so that it can open and close flexibly, thereby maintaining excellent opening and closing performance of the flip even after long-term use.

[0106] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the buoyancy member may be an expanded polystyrene or an air-filled molded article, preferably an expanded polystyrene.

[0107] The above-mentioned expanded polystyrene has a very low density of 50 kg / m³ or less, possesses excellent self-buoyancy, can be easily molded with a hot wire or laser, and can be used for a long period of time due to its excellent chemical resistance, so it may be preferred.

[0108] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the fixing part is not particularly limited, but as an example, may comprise one or more thermoplastic resins selected from polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyethylene terephthalate and polymethacrylate.

[0109] As described above, the above thermoplastic resin is not only easy to mold, but can also have excellent chemical resistance without impairing the buoyancy of the anti-volatile buoyancy body containing it, so it may be preferred.

[0110] In another aspect of the present disclosure, the fixing member may fix one or more rods assembled with at least one flip, which is the aspect described above.

[0111] The above fixing part is not particularly limited as long as it is capable of fixing one or more rods, but it may be a method of fixing the rod by inserting it into a circular hole or a T-shaped hole, which may be preferred as it allows for very simple assembly while perfectly fixing the rod.

[0112] The above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body is described below using the attached drawings.

[0113] The following drawing is merely one structural example of the above-mentioned anti-volatile floating body, and the anti-volatile floating body is not necessarily limited to this.

[0114] Figure 1 below shows one embodiment of the above-mentioned anti-volatile floating body, and can provide an anti-volatile floating body (1000) in which an anti-volatile part (100) is assembled inside a frame (200) having its own buoyancy.

[0115] The above anti-volatile floating body (1000) may be in a rectangular shape consisting of a plurality of rectangular flips (120) as shown in Fig. 1 below, but this is just one example, and depending on the floating surface used, it can be molded into various shapes such as a circle, hexagon, square, or pentagon.

[0116] Figure 2 below is an embodiment of a frame (200) having its own buoyancy, wherein the frame (200) having its own buoyancy may have a buoyancy part (210) on its outer edge and a fixing part (220) formed inside the buoyancy part (210) to fix the anti-vaporization part (100).

[0117] The above frame (100) may include only a buoyancy part (210) having its own buoyancy, but it may be preferred to include a fixing part (220) that fixes the buoyancy part (210) inside the buoyancy part (210) in terms of having excellent fixability and excellent durability of the anti-volatilization part (100) including one or more openable flips (120).

[0118] Figure 3 below may show a flip (120) assembled on a rod (110) forming a vaporization prevention member (100). Specifically, the vaporization prevention member (100) may have a plurality of rods (110) formed in an axial direction included in a plane formed on the frame (200), and may have a form in which flips (120) are assembled on the rods (110) in close proximity to each other as described above.

[0119] The above-mentioned vaporization prevention unit (100) may include a plurality of flips (120) as shown in Fig. 1 below, and each flip (120) may be arranged in close proximity to each other so that the floating surface inside the frame (200) is closed.

[0120] The anti-vaporation unit (100) formed by a plurality of flips (120) closely arranged on the plurality of rods (110) can have excellent opening and closing capabilities as each flip (120) can rotate 360° in the axial direction in which the frame (200) is formed with the center of the rod.

[0121] That is, the above-mentioned anti-vaporation float (1000) can float on the floating surface, and contaminants accumulated on the upper surface can be discharged to the floating surface by a plurality of flips (120) that rotate 360°, and then the plurality of flips (120) rotate again to close the anti-vaporation unit (100), thereby preventing the volatilization of odors or contaminants generated on the floating surface.

[0122] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the rod (110) may include a fixing ring (130) that prevents the assembled plurality of flips (120) from coming apart, as shown in FIG. 3 below, and maintains the form in which the plurality of flips (120) are closely arranged with each other.

[0123] The anti-volatile unit (100) further including the above-mentioned fixing ring (130) may be preferred as the plurality of flips (120) are arranged in a close manner with each other, so that the anti-volatile unit (100) including it can maintain excellent anti-volatile properties for a long period of time.

[0124] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the flip (120) may be filled with an odor adsorbent as shown in FIG. 4 below. As an example, the flip (120) may form a flip first zone (121) and a flip second zone (122) filled with different adsorbents based on the rotation axis of the flip (120) in order to remove an odor mixed with a complex compound.

[0125] The anti-volatilization floating body (1000) including the flip (120) filled with the above different adsorbents can effectively remove complex odors generated from livestock manure, and as described above, the flip (120) can rotate 360° and has superior odor adsorption capabilities, which can be preferred.

[0126] Accordingly, the anti-volatilization floating body according to the present disclosure can not only be manufactured by simply assembling, but can also have excellent anti-volatilization properties by including an anti-volatilization part that has excellent self-buoyancy, adheres to the floating surface, and can be completely closed.

[0127] In addition, the above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body may include a plurality of flips capable of 360° rotation, thereby having superior openness and superior closure, and the flips may be filled with different odor adsorbents, thereby having a superior removal rate of odors that are complexly mixed.

[0128] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the anti-volatilization float may also be used as an anti-volatilization float to prevent volatilization of a pond, lake, or tank containing a solvent, but the present disclosure may provide a method for preventing the odor of livestock manure by installing an anti-volatilization float floating on the interface of livestock manure stored in a livestock manure tank.

[0129] The above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body has excellent anti-volatilization properties, and different odor adsorbents are filled in the divided zones, so it can effectively prevent the spread of complex odors generated from livestock manure.

[0130] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the method for preventing the odor of livestock manure may involve continuously introducing livestock manure into the upper part of a floating body and discharging it below the odor-preventing floating body by passing it through a volatilization prevention unit comprising an openable flip. Additionally, the odor-preventing floating body may discharge the livestock manure downward in the direction of floating when the volatilization prevention unit is opened and closed, and then prevent the volatilization of the odor of the livestock manure by restoring the opened and closed volatilization prevention unit to its original state.

[0131] The above-described anti-vaporation floating body includes an openable anti-vaporation unit, thereby not only preventing the volatilization of odors caused by livestock manure stacked on the upper part of the floating body as described above, but also being able to be closed again to prevent the volatilization of odors from manure accumulated in the livestock manure tank.

[0132] In addition, as the above-mentioned anti-vaporation floating body opens and closes automatically, it effectively prevents the volatilization of odors and can continuously prevent the volatilization of odors without power or additional work by the user.

[0133] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the method for preventing odors in livestock manure may have an ammonia and hydrogen sulfide reduction rate of 70% or more, preferably 75% or more, 80% or more, more preferably 85% or more, 90% or more, 93% or more, 94% or more, and may be 99% or less or 95% or less, although the upper limit is not limited.

[0134] The above ammonia and hydrogen sulfide are components of the complex odor generated from livestock manure. Although the odor reduction rate of the complex odor floating body described above was measured primarily for ammonia and hydrogen sulfide, it can reduce all complex odors of livestock manure, such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptan, and acetaldehyde.

[0135] The above ammonia and hydrogen sulfide reduction rates may be the percentage of the average concentration (ppm) of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide measured at each hour in a livestock manure tank without a volatilization prevention float installed, and the average concentration of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide after each hour in a livestock manure tank with a volatilization prevention float installed.

[0136] Specifically, the ammonia and hydrogen sulfide reduction rates of the above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body may refer to the average reduction rates after 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours, and 5 hours after installation, but this is merely an example, and a more detailed measurement method will be described in the examples.

[0137] As described above, a buoyancy-preventing floating body having ammonia and hydrogen sulfide reduction rates within the above range can completely seal the livestock manure interface and prevent the volatilization of complex odors.

[0138] In addition, the above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body not only prevents the volatilization of complex odors generated from livestock manure, but also includes one or more flips filled with an odor adsorbent, and furthermore, by including flips in each zone filled with different odor adsorbents, it can effectively adsorb all complexly mixed odors generated from livestock manure, thereby achieving an ammonia and hydrogen sulfide reduction rate within the above range.

[0139] In addition, since the anti-volatilization floating body installed in the above livestock manure tank has excellent opening and closing properties, it is possible to rapidly discharge the livestock manure introduced into the upper part to the lower part even if it is continuously accumulated, thereby preventing the volatilization of odors generated from the livestock manure accumulated on the upper part of the anti-volatilization floating body.

[0140] That is, since the above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body includes one or more openable flips, livestock manure accumulated on the upper surface can be easily discharged, and by closing the flips again to achieve an excellent odor reduction rate, it is possible to have a change in ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations within the range described above.

[0141] Therefore, the above-mentioned anti-vaporation floating body can not only float on the interface of livestock manure with simple assembly to continuously prevent excellent odor volatilization, but also effectively reduce odors by adsorbing complex odors generated from livestock manure through the filling of an odor adsorbent inside the flip, preferably by filling different odor adsorbents into divided zones.

[0142] The above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body includes one or more flips that can be opened and closed by gravity alone without energy consumption, and can maintain an excellent odor reduction rate for a long period, thereby effectively preventing the odor of livestock manure.

[0143] The present disclosure is explained in more detail below based on examples and comparative examples. However, the following examples and comparative examples are merely illustrative of the present disclosure and are not intended to limit the present disclosure.

[0145] [Example 1]

[0146] (Wing-type flip manufacturing)

[0147] A wing-shaped flip was manufactured by injection molding high-density polyethylene (HDPE, Hanwha Chemical Co.) at 260°C to a width of 15 cm x depth of 5 cm x thickness of 2 mm, and a membrane was formed inside the wing-shaped flip by forming a membrane in the 5 cm portion from the tip of one wing toward the center. Subsequently, zeolite and activated carbon were filled into the membrane-formed spaces within each wing inside the manufactured wing-shaped flip, and the end surfaces of the wings were sealed with polyethylene having pores of 0.01 to 0.25 μm to prevent the filled adsorbent from escaping, thereby completing a Janus-shaped wing-shaped flip in which different odor adsorbents were filled into each wing.

[0148] (Frame manufacturing)

[0149] A buoyancy part was manufactured by processing expanded polystyrene with a thickness of 20 cm into a frame shape (outer width 100 cm x height 80 cm and inner width 80 cm x height 60 cm) using a hot wire. Additionally, a fixing part was manufactured by processing polyethylene into a frame shape (outer width 80 cm x height 60 cm and inner width 60 cm x height 40 cm). Subsequently, the fixing part (polyethylene frame) was assembled inside the manufactured buoyancy part (expanded polystyrene frame) to complete a frame having its own buoyancy.

[0150] (Manufacture of anti-volatile floating bodies)

[0151] A wing-shaped flip manufactured above was assembled by fitting it onto a stainless steel rod with a horizontal length of 90 cm. At this time, after assembling one wing-shaped flip onto the rod, a fixing ring made of polyethylene with a length of 5 cm was fitted onto the rod and then another wing-shaped flip was assembled, so that the rod with multiple wing-shaped flips assembled had the wing-shaped flips assembled at intervals of 5 cm.

[0152] Subsequently, a rod with wing-shaped flips assembled at regular intervals, as described above, was installed on a frame manufactured including the buoyancy part and the fixed part as described above, such that a wing-shaped flip assembled on another rod was closely positioned in the empty space of a wing-shaped flip assembled on one rod. At this time, the installed flips were inclined at a height of 2 mm (15°) on the lower and upper sides to manufacture a buoyancy-preventing floating body.

[0154] [Example 2]

[0155] In Example 1 above, a evaporation-preventing floating body was manufactured in the same way, except that the wing-shaped flip was manufactured as a 10 cm square.

[0157] [Example 3]

[0158] In Example 1 above, a flip was manufactured in the shape of a parallelogram with a thickness of 2 mm, an upper side of 5 cm, and a lower side of 10 cm, and the parallelogram flips were assembled on a rod in an alternating manner along the upper and lower sides. A volatile float was manufactured in the same manner, except that zeolite and activated carbon were filled into each of the parallelogram flips assembled on the rod in an alternating manner.

[0160] [Example 4]

[0161] In Example 1 above, a volatile float was manufactured in the same manner except that zeolite and activated carbon were not filled into the wing-shaped flip.

[0163] [Example 5]

[0164] In the above Example 1, a volatile float was manufactured in the same manner, except that the wing-shaped flip was filled only with zeolite and not filled with zeolite and activated carbon in a Janus shape.

[0166] [Example 6]

[0167] In the above Example 1, a evaporation-preventing floating body was manufactured in the same manner, except that it was assembled parallel to the floating surface without a flip tilt installed on the frame.

[0169] [Comparative Example 1]

[0170] In the above Example 1, a evaporation-preventing float was manufactured in the same manner, except that the wing-shaped flip was manufactured to be unable to rotate.

[0177] Experimental Example 1. Measurement of Odor Reduction Rate

[0178] In a tank containing 50 kg of livestock manure, the concentrations of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide (ppm) were measured at 10-minute intervals using a biogas meter (Enstrument, Biogas 5000), and the average concentrations of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide were calculated every hour. As described above, the concentrations of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide were measured at 10-minute intervals, and the average concentrations of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide were calculated for 2, 3, 4, and 5 hours after the installation of the anti-volatilization floating body.

[0179] Subsequently, a floating body was installed on the interface of the livestock manure in the tank according to the above measurement method, and the average concentrations of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide were calculated in the same manner. Then, the reduction rate of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide was calculated by comparing the average concentrations of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide generated with the floating body installed to the concentrations of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide generated without the installation of the floating body.

[0180] The reduction rates of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide in the anti-volatilization floating body obtained above are shown in Table 2 below.

[0182] Experimental Example 2. Measurement of opening and closing performance of anti-volatilization floating body

[0183] A floating body was installed in the middle of a tank containing water, identical to the above method for measuring the odor reduction rate, and bentonite sludge mixed with 15 parts by weight of bentonite for every 100 parts by weight of bentonite was continuously fed into the top of the tank at a rate of 100 kg / hr. One hour after the bentonite sludge was fed into the tank, the bentonite sludge accumulated on the top of the installed floating body was recovered and its mass was measured.

[0184] In the same measurement method described above, the bentonite sludge accumulated on the upper part of the floating body was recovered and its mass measured after 2, 3, 4, and 5 hours based on the introduction of bentonite sludge into the tank, and the results were calculated using the following formula and are shown in Table 3.

[0185] [Equation 1]

[0186] Openability (Weight %) = W1 / W0 × 100

[0187] (In Equation 1 above, W0 is the total mass of bentonite sludge introduced at each time interval, and W1 is the total mass of bentonite sludge recovered from the top of the floating body at each time interval.)

[0193] Looking at Examples 1 to 6 in Table 2 above, it was confirmed that the ammonia reduction rate over 5 hours was 70% or more, preferably 80% or more, and even more preferably 90% or more, and the hydrogen sulfide reduction rate also showed a trend similar to the ammonia reduction rate.

[0194] In contrast, it was confirmed that Comparative Examples 1 and 2 had very low ammonia reduction rates and hydrogen sulfide reduction rates compared to Examples 1 to 6.

[0195] This is because the reduction rate of odors that volatilize and diffuse from livestock manure decreases depending on the anti-volatilization properties and odor adsorption rate of the floating body. In other words, the floating bodies of Examples 1 to 6 rotate 360°, and the odor adsorption rate of the filled adsorbent increases dramatically, suggesting that odors generated from livestock manure are excellently prevented from volatilizing.

[0196] Specifically, among the floating bodies of Examples 1 to 6 above, it was confirmed that the rectangular flip, i.e., the wing-type flip, has an excellent reduction rate for ammonia and hydrogen sulfide, and it was confirmed that it maintains an excellent odor reduction rate for a long period of time.

[0197] This suggests that since the wing-shaped flips are assembled in close contact with each other and possess excellent rotational ability, the anti-volatilizing float manufactured by assembling the wing-shaped flips has very excellent anti-volatilizing properties.

[0198] In addition, specifically among the floating bodies of Examples 1 to 6 above, it was confirmed that the floating body assembled with flips filled with an odor adsorbent has excellent ammonia reduction rate and hydrogen sulfide reduction rate, and the floating body including flips filled with zeolite and activated carbon in the form of a leaky water has excellent reduction rates for both ammonia and hydrogen sulfide.

[0199] Looking at the results of the opening and closing measurements in Table 3 above, it was confirmed that the weight of the bentonite sludge stacked on the upper part of the floating bodies of Examples 1 to 6 is very small compared to the total mass of the bentonite sludge introduced into the floating bodies.

[0200] This suggests that the floating bodies of Examples 1 to 6 have excellent openness, and by closing the opened flip again, the generation of odors caused by manure accumulated on the upper part of the floating body can be reduced.

[0201] Specifically, among the floating bodies of Examples 1 to 6 above, it was confirmed that a floating body including rectangular flips (wing-shaped flips) has superior opening and closing capabilities.

[0202] In contrast, as can be seen in Table 3 above, the floating body of Comparative Example 1, which has low opening and closing ability, cannot discharge the bentonite sludge accumulated on the upper part of the floating body, so it can be seen that the odor reduction rate decreases rapidly over time as shown in Table 2 above.

[0203] In addition, the spherical floating body of Comparative Example 2, as shown in Table 3 above, has high openability (discharge of bentonite sludge due to rotation), but as shown in Table 2 above, it does not have the odor reduction rate targeted by the present disclosure due to low adhesion compared to the example.

[0204] Accordingly, the above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body includes an openable anti-volatilization section, which can not only provide excellent anti-volatilization performance for a long period, but also fills an odor adsorbent inside the flip, and more preferably fills each of the equally divided sections of the flip with a different odor adsorbent, thereby enabling the removal of complexly mixed odors such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide.

[0205] In addition, as shown in Table 3 above, it can be confirmed that the spherical floating body of Comparative Example 2 has high openability (discharge of bentonite sludge due to rotation), but has a very low odor reduction rate compared to the Examples as shown in Table 2 above. This is because the spherical floating body of Comparative Example 2 has low odor volatilization prevention capabilities compared to Examples 1 to 6, as it cannot completely close the floating surface due to low adhesion.

[0206] Accordingly, the above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body includes an openable anti-volatilization section, which can not only provide excellent anti-volatilization performance for a long period, but also fills an odor adsorbent inside the flip, and more preferably fills each of the equally divided sections of the flip with a different odor adsorbent, thereby enabling the removal of complexly mixed odors such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide.

[0207] Thus, the above-mentioned anti-volatilization floating body can be usefully utilized as a livestock manure odor reduction method capable of reducing complex odors generated from livestock manure.
