Description

Technology Field

[0001] This application claims priority to a Chinese patent application filed on April 2, 2021, with application number 202110362314.6 and title of invention “Resource sensing method, apparatus and storage medium,” which is incorporated into the text in its entirety by reference.

[0108] 5G V2X Mode 2 applies distributed resource scheduling, and since the base station does not perform uniform scheduling, the UE must determine the resource occupancy status of other UEs through a sensing mechanism and make resource selections based on the sensing results. Compared to a completely random resource selection mechanism, the sensing mechanism can improve resource utilization, reduce the probability of collisions, and improve system performance.

[0109] In the method for sensing resource occupancy status, the sensing time must be determined first. Since the service transmission cycle of V2X in LTE-V2X is variable between 100 milliseconds (ms) and 1000 milliseconds (ms), if the UE needs to sense all resource occupancy statuses, the sensing time must be 1000 ms.

[0110] In the resource selection method of the Pedestrian-User Equipment (P-UE), one of the critical considerations is the issue of the P-UE's power consumption. One important prerequisite is that the P-UE only needs to transmit data without needing to receive data transmitted by the Vehicle User Equipment (V-UE). The UE senses the resources reserved by other UEs through a partial sensing mechanism within the resource sensing window, and after excluding conflict resources, determines the available candidate resources within the resource selection window.

[0111] FIG. 1 is an example of a resource selection method for partial sensing, and as shown in FIG. 1, the P-UE determines the minimum value of the number of candidate subframes Y according to the upper layer parameter minNumCAndidateSF-r14 configuration and independently determines the location of Y subframes within the resource selection window. Monitor resource occupancy results on the subframe to the current subframe Determines whether it is available. Here, the set of k values is configured by the upper layer parameter gapCandidateSensing-r14, and k corresponds to the position where the k-th bit of the upper layer gapCandidateSensing-r14 is 1.

[0112] In a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) system, the time at which the UE needs to receive is only at certain times, and the UE does not need to receive at all times; monitoring the reception of data moment by moment causes the UE's power consumption to be very high. DRX achieves the goal of energy saving by allowing the UE to monitor discontinuously.

[0113] FIG. 2 is an example of a DRX cycle. As shown in FIG. 2, within one DRX cycle, the UE monitors and receives data during the DRX duration (on), and the duration of the DRX cycle is the DRX_on Duration Timer time. During the DRX off time (off), the UE stops monitoring to save power consumption, and the off time (off) of the DRX cycle is the DRX_Inactivity Timer time. The Transmit User Equipment (TxUE) and the Receive User Equipment (RxUE) that have configured the DRX must have the same DRX configuration, so the DRX on of the TxUE and the DRX on of the RxUE must match.

[0114] In existing 5G V2X Mode 2 systems, the UE's reception configuration did not consider energy saving through DRX, nor did it introduce a partial sensing mechanism. However, if the UE saves energy regarding the reception method through DRX and performs resource allocation through partial sensing, the timing of partial sensing may fall within the DRX off period, making it impossible to receive Side Link Control Information (SCI) and thus preventing the sensing operation from proceeding. Due to insufficient monitoring of candidate resources, the resource occupancy status during the DRX off period cannot be sensed; consequently, resource conflicts among candidate resources occur, leading to a decrease in the reliability of data transmission.

[0115] The sensing time mentioned in the embodiments of the present disclosure is a single time zone or a single time window, and within this sensing time, the UE receives the SCI to determine the resource occupancy status of other UEs.

[0116] Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a resource sensing method, apparatus, and storage medium. To avoid a situation where a resource conflict may occur because the sensing time of partial sensing is within DRX off, and SCI within the sensing time cannot be received due to the DRX configuration, and the resource occupancy status of the location cannot be monitored, continuous sensing is performed during the subsequent DRX on time when the sensing time of partial sensing is within DRX of. In the transmission of periodic services, the problem of a conflict with unsensed resources can be avoided by adjusting the duration of continuous sensing. In the transmission of non-periodic services, continuous sensing is performed for a certain period of time to increase the sensing range and reduce the probability of a resource conflict.

[0117] To further clarify the purpose, technical solution, and advantages of the embodiments disclosed herein, the technical solution of the embodiments disclosed herein will be described clearly and completely in conjunction with the drawings of the embodiments disclosed below. The embodiments described are only some embodiments of the present disclosure, not all embodiments. All other embodiments obtained by a person skilled in the art without creative labor based on the embodiments of the present disclosure will fall within the scope of protection of the present disclosure.

[0118] FIG. 3 is an exemplary first flowchart of a resource sensing method provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure, and as shown in FIG. 3, the entity performing the resource sensing method provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure may be a terminal. The method comprises the following steps:

[0119] Step 301 determines whether the current sensing time completely overlaps with the duration of the current discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle.

[0120] Specifically, FIG. 4 is an exemplary diagram of the relationship between the current sensing time and the current DRX cycle provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure, and as illustrated in FIG. 4, in a 5G V2X system, when a UE configures a DRX to save energy for a receiving method and proceeds with resource allocation through partial sensing, the relationship between the UE's current sensing time and the current DRX cycle includes the following four situations:

[0121] The current sensing time of Fig. 4(a) completely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle.

[0122] A portion of the current sensing time in Fig. 4(b) overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle, and the remainder of the current sensing time overlaps with the off time of the current DRX cycle.

[0123] A portion of the current sensing time in Fig. 4 (c) overlaps with the off time of the current DRX cycle, and the remainder of the current sensing time overlaps with the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0124] The current sensing time of Fig. 4(d) completely overlaps with the off time of the current DRX cycle.

[0125] When the UE performs partial sensing, it first determines whether the current sensing time completely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle, that is, whether the situation of (a) in Fig. 4 occurs.

[0126] The specific determination method can be determined based on the relationship between the start time of the timer at the current sensing period, the duration of the timer at the current sensing period, the start time of the timer at the duration of the current DRX cycle, the duration of the timer at the duration of the current DRX cycle, and the duration of the timer at the off time of the current DRX cycle.

[0127] For example, if the start time of the timer for the current sensing period is 0 and the time length of the timer for the current sensing period is 20ms, the start time of the timer for the duration of the current DRX cycle is 0 and the time length of the timer for the duration of the current DRX cycle is 50ms, and the time length of the timer for the off time of the current DRX cycle is 50ms, it can be determined that the current sensing period completely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle.

[0128] Step 302, if the current sensing time does not completely overlap with the duration of the current DRX cycle, resource sensing is performed at the target time within the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0129] Specifically, the UE determines whether the current sensing time completely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle, and then proceeds with resource sensing based on the determination result.

[0130] When the current sensing period completely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle, that is, when the situation of Fig. 4 (a) occurs, the UE can receive the SCI within the current sensing period. At this time, the UE performs resource sensing based on the SCI received within the current sensing period.

[0131] If the current sensing time incompletely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle, that is, if the situation shown in (b), (c), or (d) of Fig. 4 occurs, resource sensing is performed at the target time within the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0132] If the above target time zone is a time zone for continuous sensing, the start time and / or length of the above target time zone may be configured by the network side, may be predefined by a protocol, or may be determined by the UE.

[0133] In the resource sensing method provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, if the sensing time of partial sensing incompletely overlaps with the duration of the DRX cycle, continuous sensing for a certain period of time is performed within the duration of the next DRX cycle, thereby improving the reliability of data transmission.

[0134] Optionally, in a situation where the current sensing time incompletely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle,

[0135] It includes a situation where a part of the current sensing period overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle, and the remainder of the current sensing period overlaps with the off-time of the current DRX cycle.

[0136] Specifically, as illustrated in FIG. 4(b), in an embodiment of the present disclosure, a situation in which the current sensing time incompletely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle is,

[0137] It includes a situation where a part of the current sensing period overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle, and the remainder of the current sensing period overlaps with the off-time of the current DRX cycle.

[0138] For example, if the start time of the current sensing period timer is 45ms, the time length of the current sensing period timer is 20ms, the start time of the current DRX cycle duration timer is 0, the time length of the current DRX cycle duration timer is 50ms, and the time length of the current DRX cycle off time timer is 50ms, then the first 5ms of the current sensing period overlaps with the current DRX cycle duration, and the UE can receive SCI and proceed with resource sensing, and the last 15ms of the current sensing period overlaps with the current DRX cycle off time, and the UE cannot receive SCI and proceed with resource sensing.

[0139] In the resource sensing method provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, if a part of the current sensing time overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle and the remaining part of the current sensing time overlaps with the off time of the current DRX cycle, the reliability of data transmission is improved by performing continuous sensing for a certain period of time within the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0140] Optionally, in a situation where the current sensing time incompletely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle,

[0141] It includes situations where the current sensing time completely overlaps with the off time of the current DRX cycle.

[0142] Specifically, as illustrated in FIG. 4(d), in an embodiment of the present disclosure, a situation in which the current sensing time incompletely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle is,

[0143] It includes a situation where the current sensing time completely overlaps with the current DRX cycle's off time.

[0144] For example, if the start time of the current sensing time is 55ms, the time length of the current sensing time is 20ms, the start time of the current DRX cycle duration timer is 0, the time length of the DRX cycle duration timer is 50ms, and the time length of the DRX cycle off time timer is 50ms, then the current sensing time completely overlaps with the current DRX cycle off time, and the UE cannot receive SCI and cannot proceed with resource sensing.

[0145] In the resource sensing method provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, if the current sensing time completely overlaps with the off time of the current DRX cycle, the reliability of data transmission is improved by performing continuous sensing for a certain period of time within the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0146] Optionally, in a situation where the current sensing time incompletely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle,

[0147] It includes a situation where a portion of the current sensing period overlaps with the off-time of the current DRX cycle, and the remainder of the current sensing period overlaps with the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0148] Specifically, as illustrated in FIG. 4(c), in an embodiment of the present disclosure, a situation in which the current sensing time incompletely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle is,

[0149] It includes a situation where a portion of the current sensing period overlaps with the off-time of the current DRX cycle, and the remainder of the current sensing period overlaps with the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0150] For example, if the start time of the current sensing period timer is 95ms, the time length of the current sensing period timer is 20ms, the start time of the current DRX cycle duration timer is 0, the time length of the DRX cycle duration timer is 50ms, and the time length of the DRX cycle off-time timer is 50ms, then the first 5ms of the current sensing period overlaps with the current DRX cycle off-time, the UE cannot receive SCI and cannot proceed with resource sensing, and the last 15ms of the current sensing period overlaps with the next DRX cycle duration, the UE can receive SCI and proceed with resource sensing.

[0151] In a resource sensing method provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure, if a part of the current sensing time overlaps with the off time of the current DRX cycle and the remaining part of the current sensing time overlaps with the duration of the next DRX cycle, the reliability of data transmission is improved by performing continuous sensing for a certain period of time within the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0152] Optionally, before determining whether the current sensing time completely overlaps with the duration of the current discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle,

[0153] The method further includes the step of receiving a first configuration message transmitted by a network device; the first configuration message includes a starting position of the target time zone, and

[0154] Or,

[0155] The starting position of the above target time zone is pre-configured;

[0156] Or,

[0157] Before proceeding with resource sensing during the target time period within the duration of the above-mentioned next DRX cycle,

[0158] It further includes the step of determining the starting position of the above target time zone.

[0159] Specifically, in an embodiment of the present disclosure, the start position of the target time zone is configured by the network side, and before the UE determines whether the current sensing time completely overlaps with the duration of the current discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, the network side device transmits a first configuration message to the UE, the first configuration message including the start position of the target time zone.

[0160] The UE receives a first configuration message transmitted by a network device and analyzes the starting position of a target time zone from the first configuration message.

[0161] The above first configuration message may be loaded by a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message, may be loaded by a Media Access Control Control Element (MAC CE) message, and may be loaded by a Downlink Control Information (DCI) message.

[0162] For example, the network-side device sends a DCI message to the UE, and the start position of the target time zone included in the DCI message is 30ms after the start time of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0163] For example, the network-side device sends a MAC CE message to the UE, and the start position of the target time zone included in the MAC CE message is 35ms after the start time of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0164] In the resource sensing method provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, flexibility can be increased and applied to different scenarios by configuring the starting position of the target time zone by the network side.

[0165] In embodiments of the present disclosure, the starting position of the target time zone may be configured in advance, that is, it may be defined in advance by a protocol.

[0166] For example, the start position of the target time zone predefined by the protocol is 30ms after the start time of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0167] Also, for example, the start position of the target time zone predefined by the protocol is 35ms after the start time of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0168] In the resource sensing method provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure, the start position of a target time zone, which is predefined by a protocol, reduces signaling overhead.

[0169] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the starting position of the target time zone may be determined by the UE.

[0170] The UE can determine the starting position of the target time zone based on its own synchronization accuracy. The UE can also determine the starting position of the target time zone based on the main frequency of its central processing unit (CPU).

[0171] For example, if the synchronization accuracy of the UE is higher than 1 microsecond, the starting position of the target time zone is the same as the starting position of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0172] If the synchronization accuracy of the UE is lower than 1 microsecond, the start position of the target time zone is 2ms after the start position of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0173] In the resource sensing method provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, the reliability of data transmission is further improved by the UE determining the starting position of the target time zone according to its own situation.

[0174] Optionally, the above starting position is the same as the starting position of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0175] Specifically, in an embodiment of the present disclosure, the starting position of the target time zone is the same as the starting position of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0176] For example, if the start time of the current sensing time is 55ms, the time length of the current sensing time is 20ms, the start time of the current DRX cycle duration timer is 0, the time length of the DRX cycle duration timer is 50ms, and the time length of the DRX cycle off time timer is 50ms, then the current sensing time completely overlaps with the current DRX cycle off time, and the UE cannot receive SCI and cannot proceed with resource sensing.

[0177] The UE performs continuous sensing when the start position of the duration of the next DRX cycle, i.e., 100ms.

[0178] For example, if the start time of the current sensing time is 95ms and the time length of the current sensing time is 20ms, the start time of the current DRX cycle duration timer is 0, the time length of the DRX cycle duration timer is 50ms, and the time length of the DRX cycle off time timer is 50ms, the first 5ms of the current sensing time overlaps with the current DRX cycle off time, and the UE cannot receive SCI and cannot proceed with resource sensing.

[0179] The UE performs continuous sensing when the start position of the duration of the next DRX cycle, i.e., 100ms.

[0180] In the resource sensing method provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, the starting position of the target time zone is the same as the starting position of the duration of the next DRX cycle, so that the UE can proceed with resource sensing as quickly as possible.

[0181] Optionally, the above starting position is a target fixed position within the duration of the above next DRX cycle.

[0182] Specifically, in an embodiment of the present disclosure, the starting position of the target time zone is a target fixed position within the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0183] The above target fixed position may be 10ms after the start position of the duration of the next DRX cycle, 20ms after the start position of the duration of the next DRX cycle, or an intermediate position of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0184] For example, if the start time of the current sensing time is 55ms, the time length of the current sensing time is 20ms, the start time of the current DRX cycle duration timer is 0, the time length of the DRX cycle duration timer is 50ms, and the time length of the DRX cycle off time timer is 50ms, then the current sensing time completely overlaps with the current DRX cycle off time, and the UE cannot receive SCI and cannot proceed with resource sensing.

[0185] The UE performs continuous sensing when it is 10ms, or 110ms, after the start position of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0186] For example, if the start time of the current sensing time is 95ms and the time length of the current sensing time is 20ms, the start time of the current DRX cycle duration timer is 0, the time length of the DRX cycle duration timer is 50ms, and the time length of the DRX cycle off time timer is 50ms, the first 5ms of the current sensing time overlaps with the current DRX cycle off time, and the UE cannot receive SCI and cannot proceed with resource sensing.

[0187] The UE performs continuous sensing at an intermediate position after the start position of the duration of the next DRX cycle, i.e., 125ms.

[0188] In the resource sensing method provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, since the starting position of the target time zone is the target fixed position of the duration of the next DRX cycle, the effect of time asynchronous operation can be excluded and the reliability of data transmission can be further improved.

[0189] Optionally, in the case of a periodic service, in a situation where a service delay can be secured, the length of the above target time period is not smaller than the maximum sensing period.

[0190] Specifically, in an embodiment of the present disclosure, in a periodic service, the length of the target time period is not smaller than the maximum sensing period in a situation where a service delay can be secured.

[0191] For example, if the maximum sensing period is 20ms, the length of the target time period is set to 20ms in a situation where a service delay can be secured in a periodic service.

[0192] Also, for example, when the maximum sensing period is 20ms, the length of the target time period is set to 25ms in a situation where a service delay can be secured in a periodic service.

[0193] In the transmission of periodic services, the problem of collisions with unsensed resources can be avoided by adjusting the length of the continuous sensing duration.

[0194] In the resource sensing method provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, in a periodic service, the length of the target time period is not shorter than the maximum sensing period in a situation where a service delay can be secured, thereby further improving the reliability of data transmission.

[0195] Optionally, in a periodic service, in a situation where a service delay cannot be secured, the end position of the target time zone above does not exceed the end position of the duration of the next DRX cycle above.

[0196] Specifically, in an embodiment of the present disclosure, in a periodic service, in a situation where a service delay cannot be secured, the end position of the target time zone does not exceed the end position of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0197] For example, in a periodic service where service delay cannot be secured, if the start time of the timer for the current sensing period is 55ms, the time length of the timer for the current sensing period is 20ms, the start time of the timer for the duration of the current DRX period is 0, the time length of the timer for the duration of the DRX period is 50ms, and the time length of the timer for the off-time of the DRX period is 50ms, then the current sensing period completely overlaps with the off-time of the current DRX period, and the UE cannot receive SCI and cannot proceed with resource sensing.

[0198] The UE performs resource sensing at a target time zone within the duration of the next DRX cycle, and the end position of the target time zone does not exceed 150ms.

[0199] In the transmission of periodic services, the problem of collisions with unsensed resources can be avoided by adjusting the length of the continuous sensing duration.

[0200] In the resource sensing method provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, in a periodic service, in a situation where a service delay can be secured, the end position of the target time period does not exceed the end position of the duration of the next DRX cycle, thereby further improving the reliability of data transmission.

[0201] Optionally, for non-periodic services, the end position of the target time zone does not exceed the end position of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0202] Specifically, in an embodiment of the present disclosure, for a non-periodic service, the continuous sensing time is as short as possible, and the end position of the target time period does not exceed the end position of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0203] For example, in a non-periodic service, if the start time of the timer for the current sensing period is 55ms, the time length of the timer for the current sensing period is 20ms, the start time of the timer for the duration of the current DRX period is 0, the time length of the timer for the duration of the DRX period is 50ms, and the time length of the timer for the off-time of the DRX period is 50ms, then the current sensing period completely overlaps with the off-time of the current DRX period, and the UE cannot receive SCI and cannot proceed with resource sensing.

[0204] The UE performs resource sensing at a target time zone within the duration of the next DRX cycle, and the end position of the target time zone does not exceed 150ms.

[0205] In the transmission of non-periodic services, continuous sensing over a certain period of time increases the sensing range and reduces the probability of resource conflicts.

[0206] In the resource sensing method provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, in a non-periodic service, the end position of the target time zone does not exceed the end position of the duration of the next DRX cycle, thereby further improving the reliability of data transmission.

[0207] In addition, what to note is,

[0208] First, the DRX period can be smaller than the partial sensing window.

[0209] FIG. 5 is a first example diagram of the relationship between the size of a DRX period and a partial sensing window provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure, and as shown in FIG. 5, when the sensing time interval within the partial sensing window is an integer multiple of the DRX period, each sensing time of the partial sensing must be performed within the DRX on time.

[0210] FIG. 6 is a second exemplary diagram of the relationship between the DRX period and the size of a partial sensing window provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG. 6, when the sensing time interval within the partial sensing window is not an integer multiple of the DRX period, the sensing time of the partial sensing that overlaps with the DRX on time is sensing, and the sensing time of the partial sensing that overlaps with the DRX off time is not sensing. When the DRX off time ends and the DRX on phase is entered, continuous sensing is performed for a certain period of time.

[0211] Second, the DRX period can be larger than the partial sensing window.

[0212] FIG. 7 is a third exemplary diagram of the relationship between the DRX period and the size of a partial sensing window provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG. 7, when a sensing time portion within a partial sensing window is placed at the DRX on time, the sensing time of the partial sensing placed at the DRX on time proceeds with sensing, and the sensing time placed at the DRX off time does not proceed with sensing. When the DRX off time ends and the DRX on phase is entered, continuous sensing is performed for a certain period of time.

[0213] FIG. 8 is a fourth example diagram of the relationship between the DRX period and the size of a partial sensing window provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure, and as shown in FIG. 8, when all sensing times within the partial sensing window are placed at the DRX on time, each sensing time of the partial sensing proceeds with sensing within the DRX on time.

[0214] FIG. 9 is an exemplary second flowchart of a resource sensing method provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure, and as illustrated in FIG. 9, the entity performing the resource sensing method provided by an embodiment of the present disclosure may be a network-side device such as a base station. [0216] Optionally, in a situation where the current sensing time incompletely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle,

[0217] It includes a situation where a part of the current sensing period overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle, and the remainder of the current sensing period overlaps with the off-time of the current DRX cycle.

[0218] Optionally, in a situation where the current sensing time incompletely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle,

[0219] It includes situations where the current sensing time completely overlaps with the off time of the current DRX cycle.

[0220] Optionally, in a situation where the current sensing time incompletely overlaps with the duration of the current DRX cycle,

[0221] It includes a situation where a portion of the current sensing period overlaps with the off-time of the current DRX cycle, and the remainder of the current sensing period overlaps with the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0222] Optionally, the above starting position is the same as the starting position of the duration of the next DRX cycle.

[0223] Optionally, the above starting position is a target fixed position within the duration of the above next DRX cycle.

[0224] Optionally, in the case of a periodic service, in a situation where a service delay can be secured, the length of the above target time period is not smaller than the maximum sensing period.

[0225] Optionally, in a periodic service, in a situation where a service delay cannot be secured, the end position of the target time zone above does not exceed the end position of the duration of the next DRX cycle above.
