Well-type suspended solids sampler

Abstract

This utility model relates to devices for collecting atmospheric aerosol samples and can be used in environmental, sanitary, hygienic, and radiation monitoring, including in challenging field conditions. The sampler comprises a housing designed as a vertically oriented cylindrical channel, forming an internal stabilizing cavity. The inlet is located at the top of the housing and is equipped with a protective screen to block precipitation and reduce the effects of wind. A horizontal filter element is positioned at the bottom of the housing, completely covering the channel cross-section. The height of the internal cavity is selected to ensure a change in the air flow vector and the formation of a laminar downward flow over the filter. The design allows for operation in both passive and active aspiration modes.Increasing the representativeness and reproducibility of sampling by stabilizing the air flow and minimizing the influence of external meteorological factors on the filtration zone.
