Abstract
The utility model relates to the field of environmental protection and chemical technology, namely to sorption materials for the purification of aquatic environments from radionuclides and metal ions, including cesium and strontium. The production of activated carbon based on plant raw materials for the sorption removal of radionuclides from aqueous solutions is achieved by obtaining modified activated carbon based on plant raw materials for the sorption removal of radionuclides from aqueous solutions and is expressed in an increase in the efficiency of sorption purification of water from radionuclides due to an increase in the specific surface area and porosity of activated carbon, as well as the introduction of ferrocyanide groups, ensuring the selective extraction of target ions and increased sorption capacity. The resulting modified sorbents are characterized by high sorption activity for Cs⁺ and Sr²⁺ ions, confirming their potential for use in purification technologies for radioactively contaminated water. If necessary, the sorbents can be used in combination with ion-exchange resin to enhance the degree of post-treatment of aqueous solutions. The technical result of the utility model is the production of modified activated carbon based on plant raw materials, chemically activated by potassium hydroxide and modified by ferrocyanide groups, with the formation of a developed porous structure, ensuring the effective sorption extraction of Cs⁺ and Sr²⁺ ions from aqueous solutions.
