Abstract

This utility model pertains to microbiology and biotechnology and concerns a method for producing the antibiotic roseofungin using a new producer strain and optimizing the producer strain's culture medium. The essence of the utility model lies in the development of an effective method for producing the antibiotic roseofungin using a new strain of Streptomyces roseoflavus var. roseofungini AS-20.14 and optimizing the producer strain's culture medium. The use of the proposed method allows, without changing the technological scheme of production, to reduce the duration of fermentation of the producer strain and to increase the overall level of antibiotic formation to the level of maximum productivity.
