Abstract

The invention relates to lighting technology and is aimed at improving lighting devices based on super-bright LEDs; it can be used in the production of LED lighting lamps. A device for controlling the current of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), comprising: a rectifier and at least three LED assemblies connected in series; at least one auxiliary step-up converter, the input of which shunts one of the LED assemblies, and characterized in that the output of the auxiliary converter is connected in parallel to another LED assembly. A distinctive feature of the proposed technical solution is that it allows voltage regulation across an LED load by bypassing one of the LED assemblies within the load, with energy recovered in the other LED assembly. This results in increased control efficiency and stabilization of the LED load current.
