Abstract

Disclosed is the use of L-citrulline in preparing a formulation for promoting growth and metabolism of a sheep testicular Sertoli cell, which relates to the technical field of biopharmaceutics. The technical solution of the present application discloses that L-citrulline is beneficial for maintaining the normal morphology of sheep testicular seminiferous tubules, promoting the pro- liferation of sheep testicular Sertoli cells, improving the vitality of sheep testicular Sertoli cells, regulating the blood-testis barrier structure, improving the antioxidant ability and anti-DNA damage ability of sheep testicular Sertoli cells, regulating reproductive function and DNA metabolism-related pathways, increasing the number of germ cells, and improving semen quality, thus exhibiting a positive promoting effect on the growth and metabolism of Sertoli cells.
