Use of the drug givinostat in the treatment of alzheimer’s disease

Abstract

This invention belongs to the field of pharmaceutical technology, specifically relating to the use of the drug givinostat in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. Through behavioral experiments and electrophysiological recording methods, the neuroprotective effects of givinostat were systematically observed. The results showed that givinostat could improve the autonomous exploratory behavior, long-term spatial learning, reference memory ability, and synaptic plasticity damage in APP / PS1 double transgenic mice, indicating that givinostat has a significant therapeutic effect on Alzheimer’s disease.
