Abstract

The present invention discloses a method for preparing a carbon-based negative electrode material by using ester bond-rich waste plastics and use. The method includes the following steps: raw material selection, raw material pretreatment, raw material calcination, hard carbon post- treatment, slurry preparation, electrode plate processing and battery assembly. The carbon-based negative electrode material is used as an electrode material for sodium storage in sodium-ion batteries. The present invention directly converts ester bond-rich waste plastics into high- performance hard carbon negative electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries through a simple heat treatment method. Due to the presence of oxygen, the ester bond-rich raw materials may form a highly cross-linked hard carbon structure during the carbonization process, thereby inhibiting graphitization and obtaining a carbon material with high coulombic efficiency and sodium storage capacity for the first time. A new method for recycling waste plastics is provided. The present invention has a simple process, low preparation cost, a stable source of raw materials, and achieves energy-saving and environmental protection effects to a certain extent. In addition, the prepared carbon-based negative electrode material also has a high sodium storage capacity.
