Abstract

A payment card (1) includes a display device (10) located on one side (1a) of the payment card. The display device includes a field (10a) for displaying a cryptogram for card verification operations performed by a card verification server (2). The method comprises the operations of: - displaying, in the field of the display device, a first value of the cryptogram (c1) for a first period of time (t1), - displaying, in the field of the display device, a second value of the cryptogram (c2) for a second period of time (t2) following the first period of time, the first and second periods of time having different durations.
