Abstract

A height-adjustable pylon (2, 15) and a support frame assembly (1) are provided. The frame comprises two frame members (3) meeting at a corner, with the frame members generally coplanar. The pylon (2, 15) is loaded at the corner so as to extend generally perpendicularly to a plane comprising the two frame members. A fastening assembly has two end portions (23), each fixed relative to its associated frame member so as to extend transversely to it. The fastening assembly (21) includes an intermediate saddle portion (22) engaging a surface of the pylon (2) that is directed outward relative to the corner, with the pylon clamped at the corner. When the fastening assembly is tightened, it engages the pylon and locks it axially relative to the frame members (3) in a selected position.Preferably, the frame elements each form two upper frame elements and two lower frame elements of two reinforcements. The lower ends of the pylons can support the assembly.
