METHOD AND DEVICE FOR HEATING AN OVEN USING A MIXED BURNER

Abstract

For heating a furnace chamber, particularly a rotating tube furnace, multi-fuel burners are used. These burners are equipped with supply lines for a primary oxidizing agent and a primary fuel, as well as at least one conveying line for the pneumatic conveying of a secondary fuel. The invention proposes to improve the efficiency of secondary fuel combustion in the furnace by providing a secondary oxidizer in the form of liquid oxygen that is subcooled before or during its entry into the furnace chamber. This allows the oxygen to be delivered as a deep jet of liquid into the furnace chamber.
