METHOD AND DEVICE FOR METAL FUELING

Abstract

A metal processing and melting process comprising the steps of providing a predetermined quantity of contaminated metal in grains, chips or pieces; placing said contaminated metal in a pyrolyzer (2); blowing a stream of hot gas through said contaminated metal in the pyrolyzer (2) to sublime organic residues and purify said metal; transferring the purified metal, after the blowing step, into a melting furnace (5); and conveying said hot gas, after the blowing step, directly to a burner (8) of said melting furnace (5) for burning.
