TLR-4 Receptor Specific Aptamers and Their Uses

Abstract

The invention relates to a nucleic acid aptamer capable of specifically binding to and inhibiting TLR-4, to a complex comprising said aptamer and a functional group, and to its pharmaceutical compositions. The invention also relates to uses and methods for detecting TLR-4 and uses and methods for inhibiting TLR-4. Finally, the invention also relates to an aptamer for use in the manufacture of a drug for the treatment of a condition characterized by increased TLR-4 expression and / or increased TLR-4 activation.
