AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing solar system support and mounting structures lack efficient and stable connections between the support bars and transverse beams, leading to potential instability and structural weaknesses.

Method used

A support and fixing assembly that secures the support bars to the transverse beam using a two-part fixing system, ensuring a robust and stable connection.

Benefits of technology

Enhances the structural stability and durability of solar system installations by providing a secure and reliable attachment mechanism for support bars and transverse beams.

Abstract

The present invention relates to an assembly (1) for supporting and fixing solar systems, said solar systems comprising a solar collector and optionally a storage tank (10), said assembly (1) comprising at least two crossbeams (2) parallel to each other, at least two mounting bars (3) parallel to each other and perpendicular to said crossbeams (2) and coupled thereto forming a quadrilateral for the support of the solar collector, a first pair of box supports (4), each box support (4) having a lower face, an upper face and two lateral faces, each box support (4) being coupled from below to a mounting bar (3, 8) near the first crossbeam (2), two pillars (5) having the upper end having a hollow and quadrangular cross-section, and a second pair of box supports (4),said assembly (1) being configured to assume alternatively a first configuration for supporting solar systems and fixing on inclined surfaces, in which each of the two other box supports (4) is coupled from below to a respective mounting bar (3) near the second crossbeam (2) and in which each box support (4) is fixed to said inclined surface, or a second configuration for supporting solar systems and fixing flat surfaces, in which each column (5) is fixed to said flat surface, each box element (4) of the first pair of box supports (4) has the lower face and the contiguous side face inserted into said upper hollow end of a respective column (5) and the ends of said mounting bars (3) corresponding to the second crossbeam (2) in contact with said flat surface.
