Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a door for a cooking chamber.
[0002] It also concerns a domestic cooking oven, and in particular a pyrolytic oven, including such a door for the cooking chamber.
[0003] In general, the present invention applies to a door adapted to close a cooking chamber of a domestic cooking appliance, such as an electric or gas domestic oven.
[0004] Its application includes, but is not limited to, an electric pyrolytic oven, in which the temperature inside the chamber can reach 500°C during pyrolysis cycles.
[0005] A cooking enclosure door thus comprises an outer panel, a door frame attached to the outer panel and an inner panel closing off the front face of the cooking enclosure.
[0006] We know of such a door for a cooking enclosure in document EP 1 783 433 A1.
[0007] In this document, in addition to the outer panel and the inner panel, the cooking enclosure door includes one or more intermediate panels which, in a known manner, create insulating air gaps inside the door, and thus limit the temperature rise of the door, particularly at the level of the outer panel.
[0008] Document EP 1 783 433 thus proposes a door for cooking chamber allowing simplified assembly and disassembly of an intermediate panel in order to facilitate cleaning of the door for cooking chamber.
[0009] However, to access the intermediate panel, it is necessary to mount the inner panel removably onto the door frame.
[0010] In document EP 1 783 433, the inner panel is mounted removably in a groove formed by a longitudinal strip arranged along an upper edge of the door, i.e. the edge placed horizontally and at the top of the cooking appliance when the door closes the cooking chamber.
[0011] A clip is designed to hold the inner panel in the door frame at the bottom edge of the door by pinching it.
[0012] The clip is, for example, mounted by gluing it to the door frame.
[0013] However, removable assemblies of a cooking enclosure door panel using gluing techniques are problematic in terms of cost and temperature resistance.
[0014] Indeed, the significant temperature variations to which the fixing adhesive is subjected cause the adhesive to degrade, eventually leading to the detachment of the fixing elements.
[0015] We also know from document DE 3 238 441 A1 of an exterior door panel for a cooking enclosure mounted removably on a lip of an interior panel.
[0016] A fixing clip is glued to the glass of the outer panel and has an elastic tab designed to cooperate with a notch in the edge of the inner panel.
[0017] However, the inner panel is not removable. This inner panel, being in direct contact with the inside of the cooking chamber, is subject to heavy soiling and is difficult to clean.
[0018] In addition to the aforementioned disadvantages related to the use of glue to fix the fixing clip to the glass of the exterior panel, cleaning the exterior panel is made difficult by the fixing clip glued to the panel, creating obstacles that trap dirt.
[0019] It should be noted that it is also known to equip a cooking enclosure door with an inner glazed panel mounted on a removable frame.
[0020] However, the user must then disassemble the assembly consisting of the inner glass panel and the frame.
[0021] Here again, cleaning the inner glass panel is made difficult by the presence of the frame.
[0022] The present invention aims to resolve at least some of the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide a door for a cooking enclosure having an inner panel that is simple to assemble and disassemble.
[0023] For this purpose, the present invention relates to a door for a cooking enclosure comprising an outer panel, a door frame attached to the outer panel and an inner panel mounted removably on the door frame.
[0024] According to the invention, the cooking enclosure door comprises an element for fixing the inner panel to an edge of the door frame, the fixing element having a tab extending in a plane perpendicular to said inner panel, said tab having an elastic tongue projecting from the plane of said tab in a mounting position, the elastic tongue being housed in an opening in the edge of the door frame in the mounting position, the fixing element also having means forming a clamp at one end of the tab, the fixing element being mounted on the inner panel by inserting an edge of the inner panel into the means forming a clamp.
[0025] Thus, thanks to a fixing element using a protruding elastic tab, means of mounting are obtained by clipping the elastic tab into an opening in the edge of the door frame, allowing easy removal of the interior panel and reliable positioning against an edge of the door frame.
[0026] In addition, the fixing element is held by pinching on an edge of the inner panel, ensuring reliable mounting and good long-term stability of the inner panel mounting in the door frame.
[0027] The cooking chamber door can thus be easily cleaned, thanks to the removal of the removable inner panel from the door frame, the inner panel traditionally being the most affected by dirt and grease splashes due to its positioning which closes off the cooking chamber.
[0028] After removing the inner panel, the fastener can be detached from its edge. The clips can then be unclipped from the edge of the inner panel. This leaves the panel free of any fasteners, facilitating cleaning across its entire surface.
[0029] In a practical embodiment, the orifice passes through the rim in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the leg of the fastening element.
[0030] The user can thus access the tab of the fixing element through the through hole and act on the protruding elastic tab to allow the elastic tab to be extracted from the hole, and thus the dismantling of the inner panel.
[0031] In a practical embodiment of the invention, the elastic tab includes a first end attached to the leg and has a curved wing at a second free end, said curved wing being adapted to come into contact with an edge of the opening in the rim of the door frame.
[0032] The cooperation of the elastic tab with the rim opening is thus achieved by means of a curved wing in contact with an edge of the opening, ensuring reliable positioning and locking of the inner panel mounted in the door frame.
[0033] In practice, the door for the cooking enclosure comprises two fixing elements mounted respectively at two corners on the same side of the inner panel.
[0034] Mounting using fixing elements placed at two corners of the inner panel ensures reliable and secure mounting of the inner panel in the door frame.
[0035] Conversely, it is necessary to act on both fixing elements to obtain the removal of the inner panel, thus avoiding any accidental manipulation, causing the removal of the inner panel.
[0036] According to another advantageous feature of the invention, the door for the cooking enclosure comprises at least two retaining elements adapted to hold at least one intermediate panel in the door frame between the outer panel and the inner panel, said at least two retaining elements being compressed against the inner panel.
[0037] The retaining elements thus exert a pressure force against the inner panel, in a direction substantially perpendicular to the inner panel.
[0038] The pressure force induces a tensile force, in the direction perpendicular to the inner panel, from the inner panel on the fixing element, and in particular on the tab extending in a plane perpendicular to the inner panel.
[0039] This pulling force has the effect of strengthening the cooperation of the protruding elastic tab housed in the opening of the edge of the door frame and thus mechanically locking the fixing element in the edge of the door frame.
[0040] The enhanced cooperation of the elastic tab with the opening in the edge of the door frame is further improved when the elastic tab has a curved wing adapted to come into contact with an edge of the opening in the edge of the door frame.
[0041] The curved wing thus forms a surface or plane that comes against the edge of the opening, the contact being reinforced by the tensile force applied to the tab of the fixing element.
[0042] According to an embodiment allowing further reinforcement of the mechanical locking of the fixing element in the edge of the door frame, two fixing elements are mounted respectively at two corners on the same side of the inner panel and two retaining elements are housed respectively in two opposite corners of the door frame, opposite respectively the two corners on the same side of the inner panel.
[0043] In a practical embodiment, the retaining elements are made of silicone.
[0044] According to another advantageous feature of the invention, the rim extends along an upper edge of the door frame.
[0045] Thus, the user has easy access to the fixing elements for mounting and dismounting the inner panel on the door frame.
[0046] Indeed, when the cooking enclosure door is in the open position, the lip extending along the upper edge of the door frame is opposite the user and is easily accessible.
[0047] Preferably, the rim is a deflector-forming profile.
[0048] According to a second aspect, the present invention also relates to a domestic cooking oven, in particular a pyrolytic oven, comprising a door for a cooking chamber as described above.
[0049] The domestic cooking oven has similar characteristics and advantages to those described previously in relation to the cooking chamber door.
[0050] Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent in the description below.
[0051] The attached drawings are given as non-exhaustive examples: there figure 1 is a perspective view of a door for a cooking enclosure according to an embodiment of the invention; the figure 2 is a partial perspective view illustrating an interior panel being mounted in a door frame according to one embodiment of the invention; the figure 3 is a partial perspective view illustrating an interior panel mounted in a door frame according to one embodiment of the invention; the figures 4A et 4B illustrate in perspective, from two different orientations, a fixing element for an interior panel of a door for a cooking enclosure, according to an embodiment of the invention; the figure 5 is a schematic partial cross-sectional view along line VV at the figure 1 ; and the figures 6A et 6B schematically illustrate the dismantling of an inner panel of a door for the cooking chamber of a domestic cooking oven according to one embodiment.
[0052] We will first describe, with reference to the figure 1 a door for a cooking enclosure according to an embodiment of the invention.
[0053] The door can be designed to accommodate a domestic cooking appliance, such as a gas oven or an electric oven.
[0054] There figure 1 illustrates in perspective a door 10 for a cooking chamber detached from the cooking chamber.
[0055] The door 10 comprises an outer panel 11, a door frame 12 attached to the outer panel 11 and an inner panel 13.
[0056] The inner panel 13 is intended to close off the cooking chamber and is therefore placed opposite the food to be cooked.
[0057] The interior panel 13 is therefore subject to splashes and dirt, requiring regular cleaning.
[0058] The door 10 for the cooking enclosure may also include one or more intermediate panels held in the door frame 12, between the outer panel 11 and the inner panel 12.
[0059] Here, without limitation, door 10 includes an intermediate panel 10'.
[0060] This type of configuration is classically used in a cooking chamber door to limit the temperature rise of the chamber.
[0061] Such a door for a cooking enclosure, with one or more intermediate panels, is described in particular in document EP 1 783 433 A1, the contents of which are incorporated by reference into this description.
[0062] With reference to figures 6A et 6B , in the following description we will designate by lower side 10a of the door 10, the side of the door intended to be mounted in the lower part of a cooking enclosure 61, generally around a horizontal axis of rotation allowing the movement of the door 10 between a closed position, in which the door extends vertically to close the cooking enclosure 61, and an open position, in which the door 10 extends horizontally, perpendicular to the front face of the cooking enclosure 61.
[0063] The door 10 for the cooking chamber thus has, opposite the lower side 10a, an upper side 10b, intended to come into the upper part of the cooking chamber when the door 10 closes the cooking chamber.
[0064] The door frame 12 extends around the perimeter of the door 10 and is integral with the outer panel 11.
[0065] In particular, the door frame 12 includes an upper edge 12b on the upper side 10b of the door 10.
[0066] As well illustrated in figures 2 et 3 , the upper edge 12b of the door frame 12 includes a lip 20.
[0067] The rim 20 thus forms a projecting edge on the door frame 12.
[0068] The rim 20 extending along the upper edge 12b of the door frame 12 here constitutes a deflector profile.
[0069] Such a deflector placed on the upper side 10b of the door 10 is known and allows the air exiting the cooking chamber to be directed.
[0070] As an example, rim 20 constitutes a deflector made of thermoplastic or thermosetting material or even metal.
[0071] The inner panel 13 is removably mounted on the door frame 12.
[0072] The lower side 10a of the door 10 has a housing 15 for a lower edge 13a of the inner panel 13.
[0073] The lower edge 13a of the inner panel 13 can thus be slid inside a groove forming a housing 15.
[0074] The housing 15 thus allows the inner panel 13 to be held in position at the level of its lower edge 13a.
[0075] In order to hold the inner panel 13 in the door frame 12, the door includes at least one fixing element 30 mounted on an upper edge 13b of the inner panel 13.
[0076] We will now describe with reference to figures 4A et 4B a fixing element 30 according to a non-limiting example embodiment.
[0077] The fastening element 30 comprises a tab 31 extending substantially in a plane, vertical to figures 4A et 4B .
[0078] In this embodiment, the fastening element 30 comprises means forming a clamp 32 at a first end 31a of the leg 31.
[0079] In this embodiment, the means forming the clamp 32 include a flat wing 33 attached to the end 31a of the leg 31 and extending substantially perpendicularly to the leg 31.
[0080] The flat wing 33 has one or more flexible tabs 34.
[0081] The flexible tabs 34 are folded from the flat wing 33 and extend generally parallel to the flat wing 33.
[0082] The space formed between the flat wing 33 and each flexible tongue 34 thus constitutes means forming a clamp 32.
[0083] As will be described later, particularly with reference to the figure 5 , the clamping means 32 are adapted to be mounted on the inner panel 13 of the door 10 by inserting an edge of the inner panel 13 into the clamping means 32.
[0084] In this embodiment, the fastening element 30 has two flexible tabs 34 arranged on either side of the tab 31.
[0085] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the leg 31 comprises at a second end 31b, opposite the first end 31a, a curved wing 31c. The curved wing 31c thus forms a return wing from the second end 31b and extends in a plane slightly inclined with respect to the plane of the leg 31.
[0086] As will be described later, particularly with reference to the figure 5 , the curved wing 31c is adapted to be inserted into a housing in the door frame 12.
[0087] Furthermore, the leg 31 has an elastic tab 35 extending outward from the plane of the leg 31 in a resting position.
[0088] THE figures 4A et 4B thus illustrate the fixing element in a resting or stable position, in which the elastic tab 35 extends outward from the leg 31.
[0089] The elastic tab 35 includes a first end 35a attached to the leg 31.
[0090] In this embodiment, the leg 31 has a notch 36, the elastic tab 35 extending from an edge 36a of the notch 36. The edge 36a of the notch 36 is thus coincident with the first end 35a of the elastic tab 35.
[0091] Furthermore, at a second free end 35b, opposite the first end 35a, the elastic tongue 35 has a curved wing 37.
[0092] In this embodiment, the elastic tongue 35 thus comprises a main portion extending, in a first direction, from the first end 35a attached to the leg 31 and a curved wing 37, extending substantially perpendicularly to the main portion of the elastic tongue 35.
[0093] As well illustrated in the figure 4B and to the figure 5 , the curved wing 37 further comprises in this embodiment a terminal end 37a forming an angle with the curved wing 37.
[0094] As seen at the figure 4B , in a resting position in which the elastic tongue 35 is protruding from the leg 31, the terminal end 37a extends substantially parallel to the plane of the leg 31.
[0095] When the fixing element 30 is made of sheet metal, it can be made by folding and cutting the sheet metal to form the means forming the clamp 32 as well as the elastic tab 35.
[0096] In particular, the tongue 35 can be made from a cut in the plane of the leg 31, coming from the formation of the notch 36.
[0097] We will now describe, with reference to the figure 5 the mounting of such a fixing element 30 on an interior panel 13.
[0098] As well illustrated in the figure 5 , when the fixing element 30 is mounted on the inner panel 13, the tab 31 extends in a plane perpendicular to the inner panel 13.
[0099] Furthermore, the clamping means 32 are mounted on the inner panel 13 by inserting an edge of the inner panel 13 into the clamping means 32.
[0100] In the embodiment as described above with reference to figures 2 et 3 , an upper edge 13b of the inner panel 13 is inserted into the clamping means 32.
[0101] The tab 31 is inserted into a housing 22 of the rim 20 of the door frame 12.
[0102] In this mounting position, the elastic tab 35 of the fixing element 30 is housed in an orifice 21 of the rim 20 of the door frame 12, the orifice 21 extending opposite the housing 22.
[0103] The orifice 21 thus forms a notch inside the rim 20 with an edge 21a opening into the housing 22.
[0104] As well illustrated in figures 2 And 5 , the orifice 21 passes through the rim 20 in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the leg 31 of the fastening element 30.
[0105] Thus, the elastic tab 35 is housed at one end of the orifice 21 passing through the rim 20.
[0106] More specifically, in this embodiment in which the elastic tab 35 has a curved wing 37, the curved wing 37 is adapted to come into contact with the edge 21a of the opening 21 of the rim 20 of the door frame 12.
[0107] The edge 21a thus forms a stop to hold the elastic tab 35 in position in the orifice 21 by cooperation of the edge 21a with the curved wing 37.
[0108] In addition, the terminal end 37a of the curved wing 37 helps to limit the insertion movement of the elastic tab 35 into the orifice 21.
[0109] Finally, the second end 31b of the leg 31 and the curved wing 31c are inserted into the housing 22 of the rim 20 of the door frame 12.
[0110] The housing 22, comprising a wall 22a extending substantially opposite the opening 21, has a curved wing 31c bearing elastically against the wall 22a. In this position, the curved wing 31c extends substantially parallel to the plane of the tab 31. The curved wing 31c thus exerts an elastic stress at the second end 31b of the tab 31 and allows the elastic tab 35 to be held in position in the opening 21 of the edge 20 of the door frame 12.
[0111] Furthermore, in this embodiment, as well illustrated in the figure 5 , the door 10 includes a retaining element 40 adapted to hold at least one intermediate panel 10' (here two in number) in the door frame 12 between the outer panel 11 and the inner panel 13.
[0112] The retaining element 40 is compressed against the inner panel 13.
[0113] As an example, the retaining element 40 is made of silicone and has one or more notches 41 in its height to allow a corner of an intermediate panel 10' to be housed.
[0114] Reference should be made to the description in document EP 1 783 433 for the assembly of such an intermediate panel in the retaining element.
[0115] The retaining element 40 is thus kept compressed between the outer panel 11 and the inner panel 13 of the door 10.
[0116] As well illustrated by arrow F at the figure 5 , the compression of the retaining element 40 has the effect of exerting a force against the inner panel 13, tending to move the inner panel 13 away from the door frame 12.
[0117] This compressive force induces a tensile force on the fixing element 30, and in particular in the vertical plane in which the leg 31 extends.
[0118] Thus, the traction force is transmitted to the tongue 35 which cooperates in a butt at the level of the curved wing 37 with an edge 21a of the orifice 21.
[0119] The pulling force thus has the effect of strengthening the fixing of the inner panel 13 in the door frame 12 thanks to the force exerted at the stop of the elastic tongue 35 in the orifice 21.
[0120] The door for the cooking enclosure preferably includes two symmetrical fixing elements 30, mounted respectively at two corners on the same side of the inner panel 13.
[0121] In this embodiment, the two fixing elements are mounted respectively at the two corners of an upper edge 13b of the inner panel 13.
[0122] Similarly, the door 10 may also include two retaining elements 40 housed respectively at two opposite corners of the door frame 12, opposite respectively the two corners of the upper edge 13b of the inner panel 13.
[0123] In this embodiment, the door 10 has four retaining elements 40 housed respectively at the four corners of the door frame 12 and adapted to hold two intermediate panels 10'.
[0124] Thus, the fixing of the inner panel 13 is carried out symmetrically on two opposite corners of the inner panel 13, here corresponding to the corners of the upper edge 13b of the inner panel 13.
[0125] As shown schematically in figures 6A et 6B , the rim 20 of the door frame 12 then includes two orifices 21 adapted respectively to house an elastic tab 35 of the two fixing elements 30.
[0126] Each orifice 21 passes through the rim 20 and opens at the upper side 10b of the door 10.
[0127] We will now describe the assembly and disassembly of an interior panel 13 of a door 10 for the cooking chamber of a domestic oven 60 (illustrated schematically in figures 6A et 6B ).
[0128] The cooking oven 60 thus comprises a cooking chamber 61 closed by a door 10.
[0129] As schematically shown in the figure 6A , when the door is open, the user can apply force to each elastic tab 35 of the fixing elements 30.
[0130] The orifices 21 opening towards the upper side 10b of the door 10, the dismantling of the inner panel 13 can thus be achieved by simultaneously or alternately inserting two pointed tools (of the screwdriver type) into the orifices 21 and pressing on each elastic tab 35.
[0131] The elastic tab 35 is retracted into the notch 36 of the fixing element 30 and is thus dislodged from each orifice 21.
[0132] The inner panel 13 can be lifted at the level of the upper edge 13b of the inner panel 13.
[0133] It should be noted that in the embodiment implementing a retaining element 40 compressed between the outer panel 11 and the inner panel 11, the lifting of the inner panel 13 is facilitated by the compression force along the arrow F exerted by the retaining element 40 against the inner panel 13.
[0134] Next, the inner panel can be removed by dislodging the lower edge 13a from the housing 15 arranged on the lower side 10a of the door 10.
[0135] Conversely, when mounting the inner panel 13 on the door 10, the lower edge 13a of the inner panel 13 is first inserted into the housing 15.
[0136] The inner panel 13 is then fixed to the door frame 12 by resting on the upper edge 13b of the inner panel 13.
[0137] The elastic tabs 35 are inserted into the housing 22 of the door frame 12 until they are positioned opposite each hole 21.
[0138] Each elastic tab 35 is then pulled back into protrusion to be housed in the orifice 21 in the mounting position of the intermediate panel 13 in the door frame 12.
[0139] Of course, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above.
[0140] In particular, the rim having an opening to cooperate with an elastic tab of a fastener can extend along a lateral edge of the door frame, or along a lower side of the door.
