METHOD FOR UPDATING ASSOCIATION DATA BETWEEN ITEMS AND LOCATIONS

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for updating association data between items in a sales area and locations within said sales area, said method comprising the steps in which: - a reading device (3) acquires a sequence of label identifiers comprising at least two label identifiers whose electronic shelf labels (10, 11, 12) are adjacent, one of said adjacent electronic shelf labels being said electronic shelf label to be placed, and another of said adjacent electronic shelf labels being an electronic shelf label whose location is known, - the reading device (3) transmits the sequence of identifiers to a computer system (2) which updates the association data from the sequence of label identifiers, determining: the items associated with the labels in the label sequence,locations of said articles based on the order of the tags in the tag sequence.
