Abstract

The present invention relates to an absorbent material, such as a non-woven fabric or tissue paper, comprising continuous filaments and short fibers, the short fibers comprising natural and / or synthetic fibers or staple fibers, the absorbent material having an absorption rate of 2 seconds or less and a weight loss upon washing of 5% or less. The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the absorbent material and a wipe comprising said material.
