VENOUS VALVE PROSTHESIS

Abstract

A prosthetic venous valve implant for the treatment of venous disease may include an extendable anchoring frame, a valve seat attached to the anchoring frame, a ball retainer attached to the anchoring frame, and a ball disposed within the lumen of the anchoring frame, between the valve seat and the ball retainer. The anchoring frame may include a first end, a second end, and a mid-valve portion, the mid-valve portion extending to a diameter smaller than that of either the first or second end. The ball may move within the central portion of the valve, between a fully open and a fully closed position.
