Abstract

The invention relates to a firearm, in particular a pistol, comprising a receiver (19) and a guide rail (3, 4) for a slide (1) which includes a barrel (20), a retaining spring, and a slide stop (12). A takedown lever (5) can rotate within the receiver (3). In its first end position: a) a stop (11) of the slide (1) abuts against the lever (5) and cannot be moved further forward; b) a fully inserted magazine (2) is in contact with the lever (5) and prevents any rotation; etc.; and c) an upper surface (9) of the lever (5) is opposite an edge of the slide (1). When the magazine (2) is removed and the slide (1) is stopped by the slide stop (12), the lever (5) can be rotated, allowing the receiver to move forward.
