Abstract

The present invention describes an intelligent shopping cart for supermarkets, which, in addition to the conventional functions of recording the purchases made, accounting for them and debiting the bank account, allows the customer to retrieve the purchases without the intervention of the cashier, and this after payment has been made to avoid theft of the items. The present invention allows total customer autonomy, minimizes financial losses due to theft, saves time spent at the checkout paying and reading the price of each product one by one by the cashier and cancels customer waiting time, it comprises: a caddy or cart (1) to transport and contain the purchases, a door (2) to enclose the purchases, which opens after the customer has settled his account, a trapdoor (3) to let the purchases into the cart, an automatic machine (4) to read and calculate the price of the purchases, and a payment system (5) to enable the customer to make the payment himself.
