Abstract
A prefabricated integrated electric charging system and a charging method for EV electric vehicles and / or PHEV plug-in hybrid vehicles are described, which allow versatile charging of one or more vehicles, subsequently or simultaneously, with simplified logistics, possibly in a modular manner, and with a minimum of installation work. The system is an integrated and prefabricated apparatus comprising vehicle sockets or connectors, at least one medium / low voltage transformer, means for connecting the transformer to a medium voltage electrical network, a low voltage internal electrical network supplied by the transformer, and a DC power supply unit. The DC power supply unit includes one or more AC / DC converters for converting alternating current AC into direct current DC. The AC / DC converters are electrically interposed between said low voltage internal electrical network and the vehicle sockets or connectors.The system is designed as an integrated and prefabricated transportable structure.
