Abstract
The invention relates to chemistry and medicine, in particular to coordination copper compounds from the class of transition metal thiosemicarbazonates, which can be used as cancer cell proliferation inhibitors and due to these properties can find application in medicine and veterinary medicine as cytostatic preparations.According to the invention, the coordination compounds nitrato-{N-[(2-methoxyphenyl)-2-(pyridin-2-yl-methylidene)hydrazine-1-carbothioamido]}copper and nitrato-{N-[(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-(pyridin-2-yl-methylidene)hydrazine-1-carbothioamido]}copper are proposed for use as cancer cell proliferation inhibitors, where the cancer cells are BxPC-3 pancreatic cancer cells, human rhabdomyosarcoma RD, HeLa cervical cancer, HL-60 human myeloid leukemia, LNCaP human prostate carcinoma, MCF-7 breast carcinoma, HepG-2 human hepatocellular carcinoma and K-562 chronic myeloid leukemia.The said coordination compounds expand the arsenal of a wide spectrum of cancer cell proliferation inhibitors, with high biological activity.
