N-(dimethylphenyl)-2-[1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene]hydrazine-1-carbothioamide as liver cancer HepG2 cell proliferation inhibitors

Abstract

The invention relates to chemistry and medicine, in particular to biologically active organic compounds of the class of carbothioamides that can be used as liver cancer HepG2 cell proliferation inhibitors and can find application in medicine as precursors of cytostatic preparations for the prophylaxis and treatment of liver cancer.According to the invention, proposed are as liver cancer HepG2 cell proliferation inhibitors the compounds N-(3,4-dimethylphenyl)-2-[1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene]hydrazine-1-carbothioamide (I), N-(2,3-dimethylphenyl)-2-[1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene]hydrazine-1-carbothioamide (II) and N-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)-2-[1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene]hydrazine-1-carbothioamide (III) of the general formula:I: R1= R4= H, R2= R3= CH3; II: R1= R2= H, R3= R4= CH3;III: R1= R3= CH3 ,R2= R4= H.The said compounds expand the arsenal of liver cancer HepG2 cell inhibitors, with high biological activity.
