Abstract
The present invention proposes block copolymers with high thermal stability, as well as a synthesis method for obtaining them from monomeric units of isatine-dibenzofuran and isatine-para-terphenyl via a polyhydroxyalkylation reaction at room temperature without the use of metal catalysts under non-stoichiometric conditions, thus allowing the use of monomers that do not require high purity. The resulting copolymers undergo post-synthesis modification reactions via nucleophilic substitution by incorporating alkyl ammonium bromides, thereby yielding polyelectrolytes with high ionic conductivity.
