BRAKE CONTROL APPARATUS FOR A VEHICLE AIR BRAKE SYSTEM AND METHODS THEREOF

Abstract

A brake control apparatus is provided for a pneumatic braking system of a vehicle having a remotely controllable warning device and brakes. The pneumatic brake apparatus comprises a control device configured to (i) activate the warning device and emit a first warning signal upon receiving a brake request signal from the remote location to apply the vehicle's brakes and thus indicate receipt of said signal; and (ii) allow the warning device to stop emitting the first warning signal after applying the parking brakes and stopping the vehicle, thus indicating that the vehicle is stopped and parked.
