Abstract
A rotary press comprising a rotor capable of rotation by means of a rotary drive, wherein the rotor has an upper punch guide for upper press punches and a lower punch guide for lower press punches, as well as a die plate disposed between the punch guides, wherein the press punches interact with cavities in the die plate, wherein the rotary press further comprises a filling apparatus, by means of which the powder material to be pressed is filled into the cavities of the die plate, and wherein the rotary press comprises a pressing apparatus with an upper pressing unit and a lower pressing unit, which, during operation, interact with the upper pressing punches and the lower pressing punches to press the powder material into pellets in the cavities of the die plate.and wherein the rotary press comprises a scraping apparatus for scraping the pellets ejected onto the upper part of the die plate by the lower pressing punches after pressing into a first pellet discharge, and wherein the rotary press comprises a classifying apparatus for individually classifying the pellets in a second pellet discharge, characterized in that the classifying apparatus comprises a classifying drive and a classifying element that can be moved by the classifying drive between a classifying position and a rest position, wherein, in the classifying position, the classifying element is in a transport path of the pellets to the first pellet discharge and guides the pellets from the transport path to the second pellet discharge, and wherein the sorting drive comprises an electric motor with a magnet driven by an electric motor stator, wherein the magnet translates its drive motion, through a transmission element of the sorting drive, into a drive motion of the sorting element with a higher drive speed.
